"On Saturday, June 15, local craft brewers who were not allowed to participate in the Coors-sponsored Pride parade decided to make their own parade. The party starts at Grateful Gnome at 3 p.m. before trekking to Emporium and Call to Arms breweries. In addition to a special beer release, there will be a DJ, food, and ice cream. Part of the event’s proceeds benefit The Trevor Project." - Camila Navarrette

Google
One of my new favorites! Very cool space and great beers. Can’t wait to visit in the summer with outside area. Have darts and shuffle board and restaurant next door. Highly recommend!

Kelsey Schwartz

Google
Been wanting to come to this brewery for a while and when I heard they had Christmas decor, I couldn’t resist! This place truly goes all out for Christmas, it was so fun! So many good beers too and the staff is so friendly. Lots of good merch as well. Located right next to the Mexican kitchen, enter the big white tent and you’re there! Can’t wait to come back to try more brews.

JL Mellott

Google
Yesterday was our first visit and we had such a nice time hanging out on the fantastic patio. The tables and benches are very sturdy and dog friendly is always at the top of the list of things that l look for in a brewery. I had the hard tea and loved it. Will definitely make the trek up north again!

Jo Cataos

Google
Nice bartenders, but holy cow both times I've been in here I've been swarmed by gnats. But the last nail in the coffin is the price. $20 for 2 beers. Not even strong beers just regular kolsh.

Chad Lemanski

Google
Fun brewery with a great vibe and tasty beers. Staff was friendly and loved the dark Czech lager. Food from the Mexican place next door was easy and tasty.

Kenny Higgins

Google
This place goes all out on decor and social media. Got good beer too! What more could you ask for? Don't miss it at Christmas!

Josh Jaarsma

Google
Since they did a takeover at Old Chicago, I have been obsessed with their beer! Our visit was just as exciting as the beer itself. The location has awesome food nearby that you can bring over and imbibe on. Plenty of games and chances to win with Drag Queen bingo and plenary of other things.

Jake Waters

Google
Great beer and nice space! Currently connected to a Mexican restaurant for convenient access to food. Shuffle board table and private party space (if interested). Nice patio with many tables and dog friendly!

Yelp
Excellent quality is just one of the hallmarks of this brewery. Aside from having a large outdoor patio, it has a pub-like feel near the bar itself. Their flagship seltzer (La Clawsuit w/ Peach, Orange & Guava) is way better than most. I'm not an IPA guy, but I know a fair number of people who enjoy Janet Reno's Dance Party -- A Hazy IPA. I am also quite fond of Operation Steingrabber -- A dark Czech lager. I can almost always find something to like here, and it is the easiest brewery to which I can walk, which makes this a frequent first or last stop on a Tennyson crawl. The service here is consistently good. I also tend to run into a good crowd of folks when visiting.
google avatar

Ariel B.

Yelp
We enjoyed Call to Arms during Christmas time - the decorations were fun and the vibes were great! Beer was good as well, we enjoyed their Lager and Hazy IPA. Only bummer was how popular this spot is, it ended up being standing room only. Still didn't keep us from enjoying a beer!
google avatar

Annette T.

Yelp
I've been here twice now, the second time being when they had all their holiday decorations up. That was definitely a fun experience! It was pretty busy but we were able to get our order in within 10min and found a seat. Beer is good, not much else to say about it. Staff is always friendly.

Yelp
Fun Fact: "Brewer owned and operated, Call to Arms places the utmost importance on... quality of product and the taproom experience." (calltoarmsbrewing.com) This past week I happened to find myself in this brewery in the Berkeley neighborhood off Tennyson, and found the taproom all decked out for Pride Month! And boy, do they go all out! While there, I enjoyed: * Blueberries Are F****** Purple, a collab with Uhl's Brewing, this blueberry, lemon, and basil sour teased you with sour without blowing your palate out. 6.5% ABV Narnia of Partya, a kiwi hefeweizen, which is also their Pride Beer, drank smooth and with definite notes of kiwi. 5.5% ABV * These beers delivered. I'm not a fan of beers that promise tastes and then you have to work to find them. Both brews left zero doubt and took no effort to find and enjoy the flavors. And the staff creates a welcoming environment, fulfilling the mission of a great taproom experience.
google avatar

Alexis Y.

Yelp
Great beers with rotating selection. Best part of all is that it's gluten reduced beer and you can't even tell. Aka I don't get gassy after drinking beers for once. A cozy bar to chat with friends, play board games, even shuffleboard. A few other notable things that stand out: Very family friendly Comfy Outside food allowed Outdoor patio, so dogs allowed Wifi TVs for sports game or what have you Street/residential parking, usually not bad
google avatar

Eddie C.

Yelp
I came here on a very busy Monday night. So busy that I wasn't allowed to order a flight. But I ended up getting three out of the four beers I wanted to try. So I took a seat at the bar and had my beers. I loved schwarzbiers but the one here didn't cut it. The sour and coffee porter more than made up for it. Those two were very good. The coffee porter wasn't sweet and I love that. Great vibe in the taproom, seems like I walked into a party.
google avatar

Amber S.

Yelp
Food: N/A Service: 5/5 Ambience: 4.5/5 Beer: 5/5 Very friendly and welcoming staff. Got a flight and a half pour. All the beers I tried were great. No food at the brewery per se. There's a spot next door connected by a back hall and accessible from the parking lot. I got a tasty birria torta from there.
google avatar

Alden C.

Yelp
Another solid brewery in Denver! But I'm sure there's plenty of competition (usually friendly competition between breweries) in Denver that the craft brew scene knows they better crank out some impressive beers! I've been wanting to try Call to Arms for a little while and was excited when the opportunity arose. I had one of their most popular selling beers, The Ballroom Beer. This was a nice and light lager with a great flavor to it but with just enough crispness to keep it refreshing! Easily drinkable and easy to get more than one round with this beer! I would love to explore some more of their beer choices in the future should another opportunity should pop up!
google avatar

Eric C.

Yelp
Call to Arms was one of the last breweries we checked out in the Denver area. We visited it on the way to the airport to catch out flight to go home. Because we were cutting it pretty close, we ended up getting a Growler. I had to Google "Can I take a growler on a plane". The answer is a responding yes! I don't remember the name of the beer that we got, but it was essentially a mango hazy IPA. When I opened up the growler a couple of days after returning home, the mango taste was strong but not too overpowering. Out of all the beers we had in Denver, I have to say this one was one of the best. Really wish we had the opportunity to check out their others beers but we had already returned home. Oh well, see you next time Denver.

Yelp
We stopped in at Call to Arms with a friend. The beertenders are always friendly and knowledgeable. I tried the Shirtless Putin Catchin' Rays, a dark Czech lager clocking in at 5.3%. It was just what I was looking for in the moment. My husband had Agrocrag, a New England IPA at 7.8%. Both beers were delicious. Our friend tried The Narnia of Partya, a 4.6% kiwi hefeweizen. He said it was quite light and refreshing. We headed to their outdoor seating. I love that they have stairs up and out to that space. You don't have to navigate through any doors. It was a very Colorado evening on the patio. Virtually every table had a dog or two happily hanging out with their humans. This is a fun place for a brew and atmosphere. Go give it a try.
google avatar

Kyle B.

Yelp
By far the best brewery in all of Denver! The most friendly staff. Aaron, Gabby, Katie and Alex are all super nice. Their beer is gluten reduced. You can't taste the difference but it makes it so nice for anyone who has a gluten intolerance. They have shuffle board, live music, fun events, and they always decorate so well during the holidays. Their beer is delicious. I'm a big fan for life! Don't miss out on this place if you're looking to try a new brewery in Denver.
google avatar

Stefanie C.

Yelp
Yesss!!! I love exploring new breweries in Denver, and Call To Arms has quickly become another favorite. I was meeting a date here and arrived a little early to get some work done on my laptop. Grabbed a beer at the bar (staff is so great) and chilled at one of the barrels. There were groups of people in the other room clearly working on projects, so they were on the same vibe. Free WiFi is always a nice perk. I can't remember which IPA I ordered, but I was happy with the taste and overall tap selection.

Nicolas H.

Yelp
Three words for you.. retail service fee... like they don't already charge enough for their mediocre beers.

Maxwell A.

Yelp
These bartenders: Alex, Aaron, Gabby taught us everything we need to know about Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins. Amazing beer and good times. Such a great place.
google avatar

Ashley A.

Yelp
They name their beers with unique amazing references you'll only get if you're a legit human. Incredibly dog friendly and the service was great! Large water bowls to keep your pups hydrated. The outdoor space is huge right now with covid parking lot takeover but all their windows also open for the indoor space as well.
google avatar

Deya Z.

Yelp
Not sure how I've gone so many years without reviewing CtA but here we are. I LOVE it here - the atmosphere and the beers are great! You're Fired, Janet Renos Dance Party, and Shirtless Putin are just a few of our faves because - well - the name says it all! The staff is so friendly, each time I visit. If you haven't been, go!
google avatar

Brian B.

Yelp
Double double toil and trouble Fire burn and cauldron bubble! When it is difficult to find the right brewery. When life seems to be getting you down.... well then it is to to A Call to Arms! Good brewery, they make their beautiful brews in the back. No witches brew here, well maybe a good witch has contributed. Great family and friend place to come. Otis Redding is playing while I write this and he is setting the vibe. Fun and relaxed. So come here when you are still up and energized. No 'Farewell To Arms' here.

Reagan S.

Yelp
Their Christmas pop up was super cute. Loved the Christmas trees on the ceiling. Was really fun to see. It was too busy for us to stay and get a drink :( all the tables were taken and everyone was standing
google avatar

Jess E.

Yelp
Seriously, out of the breweries I've been to here in Denver, the best beer, the best staff. Good vibes all around.
google avatar

Ben J.

Yelp
They have the best, friendliest, coolest staff. Great beer, great vibes. Easy to see, this place straight up slaps. Some tips: you can order food from mas kaos (pizza and tacos) next door and have it delivered to you in CTA. You can also get food delivered. They have a big, dog friendly patio for nice days. Shuffleboard table in the back. Lots of kids here.
google avatar

Andrew H.

Yelp
Great place to meet a friend and trade battle stories, and that's exactly what I did. All of the beers here are great. And that's impressive because they run the gamut as far as styles are concerned: they've got clean German lagers, botanical, aromatic sours, and, my favorite, big 'ol hop-bombs! I would move to this neighborhood so this could be my haunt. If I lived in Denver, of course.

Mary L.

Yelp
Amazing craft beer!!! Fun atmosphere and friendly staff. Pet friendly-lots of outdoor space.
google avatar

Jeff D.

Yelp
There are a lot of positives here. For starters, the beer is good and there's a lot of variety. Saisons, IPAs, Porters, Lagers, Pale Ales and more. You get the picture. Atmosphere is relaxing with a nice sized bar, tables, and a couch near the front, along with a friendly staff. These guys also have a great sense of humor - Khores Ballroom Beer - 1000% Rocky Mountain brewed - I chuckle every time I see it. I've been twice now and plan to return again.

Abby L.

Yelp
Cady was the sweetest and helped to make my boyfriends birthday so special! Oats and hose porter was super yummy! 10/10
google avatar

Ashley J.

Yelp
Great independent craft brewery in the Berkeley neighborhood. Be aware only snacks are available in the chip and popcorn variety for eats. We had the Berkley tart blonde and it was very refreshing for a mid afternoon beverage. Kids are welcome, please reference the rules in my photo. You order at the bar, no table service.

Chris W.

Yelp
Grab your best armor, don your finest robe and head on down to CtA. This place ticks all the boxes with friendly staff, spacious indoor and outdoor seating (no reservation needed) and beer that leaves you ADDICTED. Do yourself a favor. Get here
google avatar

Nicole P.

Yelp
Seating was a little limited as we wandered in on a Friday evening. We loitered a little until we were able to snag seats at the bar. The atmosphere was very chill, volume wasn't too loud, and the bartender was friendly. I drank a few Frites Libertatem, a barrel aged saison with hints of pineapple. It was delicious. Highly recommend. Drinking, shooting the shit, and eating our pizza from next door, it was a really nice night. I would definitely venture back in here for another Frites Libertatem. I did notice there were games around the corner, may have been shuffle puck, definitely a plus.
google avatar

Lee S.

Yelp
I came here with a few friends on a Sunday afternoon- and it was very charming! I love that it has this old english/pub atmosphere but is a brewery. The staff was all very friendly, the beer was delicious. There is plenty of room inside, with tables, bar seating and couches. There also is a good sized patio which is dog friendly. They are right next to a restaurant that i hear is very good, so you can order food from there and have it at the brewery or there is a food truck. I really like how this place made themselves different than all the other breweries just by change up the atmosphere and decoration! Definitly worth a visit to. *Also you might drive/bike past them as they are tucked back behind the restaurant.
google avatar

Cherie C.

Yelp
Really nice space. It's a pretty bar room, more inviting than some rather spartan tap rooms. Beers tend toward the hoppy. With Mas Kaos next door, you needn't go far for food, though you can order delivery from another spot if you prefer. Very much a neighborhood pub vibe. Lots of locals meeting up. Friendly staff.

J E.

Yelp
Used to love this place and their beer but since Covid-19 they started limiting people to over 21. Their reasoning was to fill their limited capacity with beer-drinking customers, and to limit rowdy children that run around the place (the latter we can understand)...But to not make an exception for well-behaved teenagers is ridiculous. We then headed down the street over to Oddessey Beerworks, which had wonderful beer and the same rules, but use a bit more common sense and allow responsible children. Call to Arms definitely lost their biggest fans by being anti-family friendly in such a time.

Lindsay R.

Yelp
I've always loved Call to Arms, I live in the neighborhood and have been a regular customer for several years now including during quarantine but the policies that the brewery has implemented right now due to COVID just don't make sense. The brewery isn't providing free glasses of water and is instead charging customers $1 for a bottle of water. This seems like a really silly idea at an establishment where people are drinking a lot of alcohol. I also feel uncomfortable buying plastic bottles of water as opposed to reusable glasses or compostable cups. Additionally, they're not allowing tables to split bills on separate checks which was inconvenient and could be uncomfortable for customers. Great brewery with awesome beers and I know times are tough but hopefully remedying this will keep people coming back!
google avatar

Taylor E.

Yelp
My girlfriend & I went on a brewery crawl random Monday night & this was our last stop. We were the only ones in there & stayed for at least 2 hours!! Very chill vibe & the bartenders were awesome. Definitely knew their stuff!! With Covid they weren't serving food so we were able to order food & bring it in so that was really nice as well. Definitely recommend!!
google avatar

Sabine M.

Yelp
Top notch brewery! Love the interior (converted fire house)! The staff is friendly and offered us some tasters to help decide what beer we wanted. The Brews are all delicious!! Coffee and oatmeal porter is my favorite! Great hang out place with plenty of room and atmosphere!
google avatar

Antonio Z.

Yelp
The best beers that we had on our trip to Colorado. They don't serve food, but are next door to a pizza place that will deliver your food to your table. Nice little brewery.
google avatar

Christopher B.

Yelp
Another new brewery that popped up recently and didn't fail to impress. They have some great brewmasters here and it shows. We had a number of different coffee influenced beers and they were pretty great! I know they are still getting their operations going so it's possible to come and see a lot of beers crossed off the list. We came by on an afternoon and this place was hopping. It does really seem like a great option for day brewery hopping especially when they open their outdoor area, although the windows / garage doors were open for a nice breeze within the space. On another visit, we came on a Saturday night and it was much more laid back and calm. In both cases, it was sort of what we were looking for so it worked out. I'm definitely looking forward to see what else they'll have on tap the next time I visit.
google avatar

Hector B.

Yelp
Great last minute...almost last call...stop. The service was awesome, friendly and knew their beers. The atmosphere looked really big and fun, but I stayed at the bar. I tried 9-10 of their beers (see rating on Untappd - Toryvalben) and they were really good and better than expected. I will come back and recommend. Great experience!
google avatar

Tracie B.

Yelp
4.5 stars. Call To Arms is a neighborhood gem. I've never had a beer there that I haven't liked. My favorite is Amigos Barrachos. The Tennyson Standard is also very good. A lot of time, planning and $ went in to the design of the interior. Warm and inviting with comfortable tables next to the garage-style doors (usually open on warm days) as well as a gorgeous New England style bar. Service is excellent and the owners/brewers are always around to talk to beer lovers. They don't offer food however you can either bring your own or just pop in next door to Mas Kaos and have your food (excellent pizza and street tacos) delivered to you. On Mondays, Raleigh Street Bakery is there selling bread - try the pretzel rolls with a Amigos Barrachos and you'll be a happy camper. If you don't live in the hood, Call To Arms is worth a road trip.
google avatar

David S.

Yelp
One of my all time favorite places to grab a fantastic, and locally brewed beer. The location is convenient, the layout is quaint and the beer is fantastic. My favorite draft is currently (and enticingly called) shirtless Putin riding dolphins.... lol! Great service and always a great time. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back!
google avatar

Lauren P.

Yelp
I enjoyed my first time here. A nice little spot that is a bit tucked into a space off of Tennyson. There are many beers to try on tap, with a focus on IPAs. If you enjoy German style beers they have a few that other breweries don't offer. They open up the back room to hang out where the distillation happens, or at least they did while I was there. They appear to be expanding which I think will make the place much nice as it can get crowded at times. Overall nice to have a brewery over that way with interesting options!

Yelp
We have a winner! 23APR2017 + AMEX + They don't keep your card. + The atmosphere and beers are still great. 01JAN2017 A very mellow drink/lunch (pizza from Mas Kaos). 08NOV2015 - No AMEX. Me grumpy. 20SEP2015 Great service. Delicious beers. Wonderful atmosphere. Our waitress (Lindsey) took our orders at our table and delivered our beers with a smile. It was a great 4.5 hour drinking/eating (I brought our sandwiches that I made at home.) experience 15JUL2015 + 5 blocks from my house + Smells great. I love the odor of mash. + Friendly people. Excellent service at the bar. The owners are super friendly. They clearly love their business. + Very pub-like ambiance. Wooden bar and back. + Some off-street parking. Not that i care as I will always walk here. + Wi-Fi + Toto toilets + LED lighting + Amigos Borrachos Vienna lager - very drinkable 0 Burkhalter Dunkelweizen - too much clove for me + Oats amd Hose porter - big chocolate and coffee nose + Clintonian - hoppier than expected, but very tasty - Needs bike parking - The "run a tab" process. They take your card and keep it in a small box. What I worry about is ME forgetting to get it back.
google avatar

Kelsey B.

Yelp
I went to Call To Arms with my parents, and their two dogs. We hung out on the dog friendly patio, which I didn't know existed until yesterday. The beer selection was great, I ordered a cherry flavored beer which was delicious and my parents enjoyed their beers (I don't remember exactly what they ordered). Its cool that you can order from Mas Kaos next door, but I wish they had some food at Call To Arms that was more substantial than chips or popcorn. Maybe a soft pretzel? We always tend to order soft pretzels at breweries because we can snack on it and give some to the dogs too ;-) Great atmosphere, great service, and great location of course. Definitely going back!
google avatar

Tommy T.

Yelp
Ok, so most people by this point are saying, 'really, another brewery? ' And to them I say yes, its better than another liquor store or dispensary, even though they're both great. With breweries its a lot like restaurants, as long as there's variety you can never have too many. Call to arms is tucked away between the fire station and local 46, it's in the back of what will become a multi use site with a cafe of sorts occupying the front when finished. They specialize in older or out of fashion German Styles with the ever present IPAs of course. I had several of the beers, all were very good including the just tapped lobsterback IPA. They have a nice upscale atmosphere with the dark wood, large bar and tap system but it's not stuffy. I expect good things to come from this neighborhood brew house
google avatar

Frederic R.

Yelp
Nice micro brewery in Berkeley . Their beers stands out among the numerous breweries in Denver. The location is great and you can order food from the next door taco place. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Stephanie A.

Yelp
Most knowledgeable beer bartender yet in Denver. Five stars for effervescence, hospitality and her willingness to brief us on every beer on the menu. Tasters come in flights of four 4 oz glasses. Crowlers and growlers (2 sizes) available to go. We visited because when we asked at other taprooms where to visit, each mentioned Call to Arms. In late June they seem to be specializing in hoppy beers, including one with tangelos and one with mangos.
google avatar

Jessica H.

Yelp
There are so many good things to say about Call to Arms, so I'll break my review down to the three categories that I think really define an awesome brewery experience. 1) Beer. These guys brew a variety of styles and they brew them well. The list consistently has a good mix of well-done, true-to-style lagers and ales and yummy barrel-aged and single-batch projects. I'm confident almost anyone could find a beer they enjoy at Call to Arms. 2) Staff. The beertenders are friendly, knowledgeable, and they make sure to take care of you quickly. The staff (and owners) at Call to Arms really make an effort to get to know their consumer and garner an inviting, community feel. 3) Atmosphere. The warm, comfortable setting at Call to Arms just builds on the great energy of the bartenders and owners. The beautiful wood and English-pub feel really sets the bar apart from other taprooms in the city and the odes to tradition throughout the space really echo that vibe. Summary: Call to Arms is doing great things and is absolutely worth a stop if you're in Denver.

Yelp
I usually avoid new breweries while they work out their beer and service kinks, but decided to take a chance on Call to Arms. They hit a Grand Slam on day #2 in business! They have 8 beers on tap, but I only had two: * Amigos Borrachos - Vienna Lager - perfect for a hot day! * Oats & Hose - Oatmeal Porter - beautiful Porter with cherry, coffee, and chocolate - it's big on taste, but light enough to enjoy year-round All the names of the beers are equally creative. I loved that the prices were competitive enough for the 10 and 16 oz. pours that I could drink here daily if Iived in the neighborhood. The decor was English pub, but the with lots of light from all the windows. You can tell that they put a lot of attention to even the smallest detail! It definitely creates the perfect Colorado brewery atmosphere! Jesse, one of three owners, gave me a warm greeting and we talked beer before I went with the Amigos Borrachos. He was friendly and personable. Lindsey was also behind the bar. She was knowledgeable not only about Call to Arms beers, but the craft brewery industry in general.
google avatar

Justin U.

Yelp
This is a comfortable place to enjoy a beer with friends for a relaxing afternoon. It has the feel of a place where you'd want to hang out versus many breweries where you feel you're sitting in a warehouse with makeshift seating. And if you get hungry while you're drinking with friends, there's a food truck in the parking lot serving tacos. (A preview of what's to come when the food truck owners finally open their Mexican / Italian restaurant called Mas Kaos across the hall from the brewery.)
google avatar

Carissa S.

Yelp
Great locally owned brewery. Free comedy on some evenings. Good prices. I hope to keep them around

Yelp
My friend had his 40th birthday party at Call to Arms Brewery, and it was such a great set up. The back room was reserved for us, there was a taco bar set up by the next door restaurant, there was plenty of space for all to mingle, sit and eat and walk about. The beer didn't really excite me, but I was there for the company. I'd love to check it out again, and try another beer or two. It really has a great environment, outdoor patio tables and the food next door looks great, which you can bring into the brewery to eat.
google avatar

Nicole W.

Yelp
Been here on a couple of occasions. Now that they have the back section open it is much more roomier. The options lean more toward the IPA's and Ales. There are a couple non-hoppy options that are drinkable, but i'm not going out of my way to go there. There is a nice bonus of having the pizza/taco shop across the hall, and they bring your food to you at the brewery! Woot! The staff ranges from semi personable to semi hostle. There are also only about 4 spots in the parking lot.
