Erika truly elevated our experience. Her passion, personality, and attention to detail made the wine tasting both informative and enjoyable. She created such a welcoming atmosphere and made everyone feel included. I would absolutely come back and request her again!

This review is lonnnngggg overdue, but I’ve been meaning to share how much we enjoyed Callaway Vineyard and Winery. It’s close to home for us, so my husband and I went for a date night and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere is beautiful, the staff is warm, and the entire experience was just so relaxing. Even though it’s a winery, we notice families and kids enjoying the tour, which was really nice to see. We’ll definitely be bringing our little one with us next time. Highly recommend!

We have photographed several weddings here over the years and every one has been amazing! From a photographers viewpoint, this venue is stunning. No matter the time of day, there is always a beautiful spot for photos. The getting ready suites for the bride as well as the groom are both well lit and have enough space for everyone to get ready without feeling too cramped. Photos during golden hour at Callaway are a must, the sun setting over the hills is always beautiful and worth making time for. e cant wait to be back! IG @_themcfarlands_

We visited the winery between Christmas and New year. It was quiet. We tasted 12 differents wines. They were all good. Thanks to Sierra for her great advice. I strongly recommend this place. And don't forget to get a box of chocolate chip cookies. Its the closest thing to heaven you can get. My only complaint it about our stupid canadian government (specialty the government of Quebec and Ontario) who banned the importations of wine from USA.

Callaway Vineyard is proof that grapes live a better life than most of us. They get pampered in perfect rows, soaked in sunshine, and then transformed into wine that makes you forget about your boss, your bills, and the fact that you once thought boxed wine was fancy. The tasting room is gorgeous like, “I suddenly feel underdressed in my best Target outfit” gorgeous. Every sip had me convinced I was developing a sophisticated palate, though really I was just nodding like, “Yes, I totally taste the notes of… uh… fruit.” And the views? Unreal. You could be sipping straight grape juice and still feel like royalty with those rolling vineyards around you. So if you’re looking for a vineyard that’ll make you feel classy while you secretly try to figure out how many glasses it takes before you start talking to the vines, then Callaway is your spot.

New to the wine club and went to pick up my wine. Took my non wine drinking husband with me. Erin was absolutely awesome! When she found out he was a non wine drinker her response was “challenge accepted” She was very helpful, knew her stuff and most importantly made it so fun! In the end we found some wines that my husband truly liked! Winning! Huge thank you to Erin for being awesome! (and getting a so called non wine drinker to sit and enjoy wine with his wife!)

I had a wonderful experience at Callaway Winery! Although my aunt and I frequently dine at the restaurant, this was our first time visiting the tasting room—and it definitely won’t be our last. Amanda was incredibly patient and knowledgeable, taking the time to explain each wine in detail and helping us discover a few new favorites. Her warm and attentive service made our visit truly memorable. We enjoyed it so much that we ended up joining the wine club! We're already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend

It's a nice winery in Temecula. The atmosphere is nice. It's also great for a wedding. The weather was nice and cool, and the sky with gradations as the sun set was so beautiful. The food wasn't bad, but it took a long time because there weren't enough servers. But everyone was smiling and friendly, so the atmosphere was good. I'd recommend it if someone wants to have a wedding here. The only downside is that the parking lot is sandy.

Did a tour with Dave, and followed by a tasting. The tour was enjoyable, started with a glass of champagne. I was a bit surprised you had to buy a tasting + the tour. But overall it was still worth it. Beautiful location. Wine is good, it's a bit costly compared to other wineries but enjoyed our time there. The tasting room got extremely loud, it was quite annoying. But we were able to outside instead.

My son got engaged in our beautiful hometown at Callaway Winery, and it truly couldn't have been a more perfect choice. After touring a few nearby wineries, Callaway stood out immediately. Gorgeous, welcoming, and exactly what we hoped for. Jen from the events team was amazing. She went above and beyond, made everything effortless, and treated this special day with so much care. The entire experience was unforgettable! Thank you, Callaway Winery and Jen, for making my son's engagement absolutely perfect!

This has been one of my top wineries to go for tastings. There was only one server working behind the bar and multiple people waiting for service. She got backed up trying to assist someone with a purchase. I went to the front and asked if we could use our tastings another day and was told no. I would expect a manager to come assist someone who's in the weeds. Another server showed up as we were complaining but we just asked for a large pour and headed out. Never coming back.

Callaway was one of the first wineries i ever went to. It was nice being back for a tasting. Beautiful views, beautiful winery and good wine! Service was great as expected.

Callaway was our first winery we stopped off at on our booked wine tour. Out of the three Callaway was the best! I think there are about 8 wine tickets, but you definitely don't need them all because ifykyk! Overall it was a great time for our group of 16, there is a big outside area. Their tasting room was welcoming and they had a large variety! They are dog friendly too! (dog didn't actually drink)!

Voted best tour of a winery in Temecula for a reasonAlso, one of the oldest wineries in the valley, it's nice to know it's also affiliated with Callaway golf as well. Definitely one of the wineries you need to visit in Temecula. The have a restaurant on site plus some snacks available on the shop. Plenty of outdoor seating for sunny day. It's nice and intimate here. Plus the sommeliers are knowledgeable and great!

I had such a magical time here with our big group . We were celebrating my friend's 40th Birthday. We enjoyed the hospitality here and the gorgeous vineyard . The wine was also very delicious.

(3.7 out of 5) - Honest Review of Our Wedding at Callaway Winery My wife and I were married at Callaway Winery this fall and wanted to share a transparent review for future couples. The venue itself is stunning. The Tuscany-style views, the Barrel Room, and the West Lawn were even more beautiful in person than in photos. Our tour with Tanya made a great first impression and we even joined the wine club afterward because we genuinely liked their wines. Planning Experience The all-inclusive package made planning from out of state much easier, and Mariah, our main coordinator, was wonderful--responsive, patient, and helpful. That said, I'd still recommend couples hire a dedicated month-of or day-of coordinator to ensure small details don't get missed. Food Tasting Our first tasting was extremely disappointing. Several appetizers were served in small black plastic cups, the meatballs and sliders were cold and dry, and the entrées lacked seasoning. We paid extra to bring parents and our MOH, and it felt like a poor value given the quality. The second tasting, however, was excellent and restored our confidence. The only lingering issue was that, despite requesting multiple times that no appetizers be served in black plastic cups, they still appeared on the wedding day. Bar & Drinks This was our biggest frustration. We expected a full bar but later learned the venue only allows beer, wine, and lower-proof spirits. The "premium bar" still used very low-tier brands, and cocktails defaulted to plastic cups unless we rented glassware. We requested two bartenders repeatedly but only had one on the wedding day, which created long lines and pushed guests to switch to wine or beer. Drinks also lacked consistency because the bartender was free-pouring everything--one groomsman even asked, and the bartender replied, "Yeah, because I am baller." Not ideal for a black-tie wedding. Wedding Day Beyond the bar issues, the day was beautiful. The remodeled bridal suite is gorgeous, Soiree Floral made the dinner terrace look like a magazine, and the sunset over the vineyard was unreal. The Barrel Room was the perfect ending and the coffee bar was a huge surprise hit--hand-crafted lattes and chai were loved by everyone. Our DJ, Mark, kept the energy high all night. One unexpected stressor was being told at the end of the night that we needed to handle all breakdown, cleanup, and clearing of the suites ourselves. Our package mentioned setup and breakdown of personal décor, so we assumed this would be handled. Instead, we scrambled for over an hour and missed the first part of our after-party. Guest Feedback Guests raved about the venue, food, and overall atmosphere. The only consistent complaint was the long bar line. Final Thoughts Callaway is gorgeous, romantic, and has an amazing staff. We truly had a beautiful wedding. However, the bar limitations and staffing issues were the biggest drawback and not aligned with the elevated guest experience we envisioned. If bar service is not a priority, Callaway is a great choice. If it is, I recommend asking very specific questions upfront or considering other venues that offer a true full bar.

Nice open space, plenty of room for the entire crew. We took our furry friend and she loved it. Wine was tasty and staff were helpful. Knocking off a star for value. They were very stingy with their pours considering the price tag. Normally you'd want to evangelize your wines, they'd rather do extreme bean counting.

So I had my friend's birthday party and she did winery taste and her favorite was 2021 special selection muscat canelli and NV Bella rose. The ambience is pretty and classy but looks like country view. Service was excellent and Dave helped us, He was great and patient. Will love to go there again!!!

My husband and I have visited Callaway Winery several times now as part of a wine tour. Callaway Winery is my favorite winery in Temecula. The grounds are so beautiful and they have plenty of seating space. They also hold weddings there, which looks like a perfect wedding venue. Everything is so green and beautiful. The wine is delicious! I usually prefer white wine, but their red wine is also amazing. We had 6 tasting and we were able to choose from a list of wines which was nice. Most wineries have a preset list. Service is always good. We took our tasting's outside to enjoy the beautiful views, like always it was a perfect visit!

My husband and I decided to join the OPR wine club because the wine servers in the tasting room are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Ian, in particular, gave us great food recommendations, which we ended up trying and loved. The combination of delicious food, warm hospitality, and beautiful views made it an easy decision to become members. The venue itself is stunning and ideal for hosting all kinds of events from engagements and weddings to birthdays and baby showers. The upstairs members-only area offers a breathtaking view that's perfect for any special occasion.

Amazing food and of course the Wine is excellent. The service is amazing and very professional. We joined the wine club so we can enjoy the winery and food year long.

We stopped by on the way to Lake Elsinore. $25 for 6 tastes of wine and the selection of wines are vast. We wanted to buy a few wine glasses, however, they wanted $15 a glass - a bit steep. We then ate at the onsite restaurant Meritage: the menu was small and somewhat expensive. Overall, a good visit.

Did a seated tasting with my daughter over the weekend and we enjoyed every part of the experience. Lori was so personable, started out with some sparkling wine while we went through the barrel room giving us some history of the winery and then walked us over to the restaurant where we started our pairing looking over the gorgeous Vineyards. Lori was very knowledgeable about the wine and we had delicious pairings with the food. Each pairing was spot on and the chef had done a beautiful job with the presentation. Loved every wine and pairing. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone, a very lovely afternoon.

Amanda was amazing and informative! She was the best hostess. We did wine tasting and I loved the petite Sirah.

We went for a ladies weekend. Grabbed a bottle to share in the courtyard and listen to music. The tasting bar was packed and very loud so it was nice to just sit outside. The ladies in the store were very helpful in finding a nice bottle. It's changed a lot over the years but all of Temecula has. That's a little disappointing but it's a sign of the times.

Went for the Fathers Day celebration and came away with pretty mixed but overall below average results. The weather was sweltering hot at 99 ° F the hottest day to date, and the sunroom turned into semi outdoor dining room with no air conditioning and mist blowing fan just didn't do anything for creature comfort that we needed for our dining. The service was decent. Due to the demands, the staffs were ill prepared to keep up with our reservation, but it didn't take too long for the lady to clean and set up the simple table with small dishes and utensils. The appetizers were decent but small portions for the price. It was made for individual serving but with Napa Valley prices. The best one was air fried cauliflower with few mushrooms and bacon. The Ahi Tartarè and Ceviche were decent. Problem arose with dinner salads. Cesar salad with white anchovies came out with room temperature romaine lettuce unwashed. The leaves were all black, shriveled as if they were left out few days after the expiration date. The Duck Leg Spätzle was atrocious. The German pasta was tasteless with no sign of semolina or herbs to bring out the robust flavor. It lacked true nutty deep flavor instead had bland flour flavor that I personally get turned off. The duck leg was cooked to make the meat only edible with leftover Neanderthal teeth. If you like plastic tough flavorless dark meat, you are in for the treat of your life. I rather enjoy the perfectly prepared Peking Duck at any time. The Father's Day special Tritip was well done and had Mac & Cheese as a side dish. The special day was not that special due to the mediocre foods. Hopefully it was an exceptional day not the norm.

My wife and I visited Callaway when the tasting room was absolutely packed, yet Amanda made us feel like we were the only guests there. She cared for us with such warmth and attention, sharing both the wines and the winery's story with genuine pride highlighting the use of wild yeast fermentation which was particularly interesting! As Chief of Operations in New York City leading teams of over 145 people, I can say without hesitation that Amanda is exceptional. Thoughtful, professional, and caring--her love for what she does shines through. Callaway is lucky to have her.

Our wine specialist Laura V. Was amazing! So knowledgeable but also kind and just the right amount of friendly! The wines are wonderful, lighter in taste and feel. This is a great place to get wines for hot weather. Don't sleep on this winery, we were told it's been here since the 70s ( thanks for the efu action Laura) and the grounds are beautiful! You can also pick up some cute fifties, the blown glass wine glasses with sea creatures inside are so cute! A must stop. I'm 100% happy with my time here!

This is our second time here for my wife and I. This time we came with some friends who haven't. Callaway is the first winery to come to Temecula in 1974. The location is awesome on top of a hill with great views and with great wines/tasting bar. This time we ate at their restaurant Meritage. The food is great and the service is even greater. We ordered the arugula flatbread and a cheese and charcuterie plate with a bottle of chardonnay. We had a great time enjoying the food with great friends and great wine.

We were doing a quick visit to Temecula wine country and kind of randomly picked a couple of wineries to try. Since Callaway was one of the oldest, and got recommendations on travel reviews we added it to the list. We were there on a Thursday, so we didn't have to worry about crowds at all. Callaway was easy to find and parking was plentiful. There were only a couple of other parties there while we were so we got very prompt and personal service. The tasting was $27 for 6 pours and you get to choose what you want from a pretty large menu of wines. Servers were friendly and offered suggestions when asked, but weren't super outgoing. The tasting room and grounds are nice, very clean and had good indoor and outside space, but for my taste, lacking a little in character. The wines were very good, but not exceptional. Would I return, probably. But my goal is to try several wineries to find my favorites.

I drove 2.5 hours for this place and I'm going to have to say I was very disappointed . They were out of the spare ribs and we substituted yhe ribs with the chicken . BIG MISTAKE the chicken was tough and rubbery kind of gross , the brisket was a bit dry and tasteless , the pulled pork was plain with no flavor what so ever , they brought a cheese and jalapeño sausage to make up for the rubbery chicken and that was ok, and finally the turkey was dry and tasteless as well. I don't know if the chef or the smokers were off that day but after a 300 dollar bill for horrible horrible so called bbq I will never be attesting here !!!!!

We recently became members and so far are very pleased with our choice. The staff is friendly and the wine is good - what more can you ask for? There wasn't a wine I tried that I didn't enjoy and we're looking forward to receiving our first shipment. The members' area upstairs is also nice and you really cannot beat the view between the tasting room and the restaurant - it's so beautiful! Definitely recommend stopping by for a tasting at the very least.

Ian was amazing!!! He was very knowledgeable about all of the wines and helped each of us pick exactly what we wanted!! It was so beautiful up here! Lots of beautiful places to take pictures with the girls!! They even had live music which was so fun for us!!

I have to say, I have never had a better winery experience than coming here. The wine was well produced, the atmosphere is great, the food is spectacular, and the service was what service should be: respectful and considerate. Even after an initial disappointing beginning, by the time my mom and I left we were very pleased! It made my birthday a great success and if you're looking for a place to visit in Temecula's Wine country, put this on the list. To Sam and Amanda, thank you for your hospitality and providing such a wonderful experience!

We've been Callaway Wine members for years, and it's always our first stop whenever we're in Temecula. The winery itself is absolutely stunning, with some of the best views in the valley, and their wines never disappoint. Their buttery Chardonnay is a favorite of ours, along with plenty of other delicious pours we've enjoyed over the years. On our most recent visit, we were helped by Erika, and she made the experience even better. She was so warm, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the wines. She guided us through tastings with such care and made great recommendations, which of course led us to leaving with more bottles than we planned. Her service was outstanding and really stood out. Callaway continues to be one of our top wineries to visit, and with staff like Erika, it's easy to see why. We're already looking forward to our next trip back!

I recently planned my 35th Prom themed birthday party at Callaway and it ended up being one of the best experiences of my life! I worked with Jenn and she made the whole process so easy and enjoyable! She truly took the time to make sure every detail was handled and that I was taken care of. I am so grateful to Jenn and the staff at Callaway for everything! This winery will always hold a special place in my heart. I can't wait to be back! Definitely book your wedding or event here if you want it to be the best day ever!

We chose Callaway to start off our New Yr celebration because they allow pets. We went for lunch and almost every table was occupied, highly recommend making reservations. We were seated at the lower level with a picturesque view of the vineyard. We started off with Black Garlic Cesar and for the entree's, we choose the Wagyu Flat Iron Steak, Hokkaido Seared Scallops and the Blue Cheese Bacon Burger. Everyone was content with their choices, everything was grilled perfectly and the sides were delicious as well. Looking forward to try the rest of the menu.

When you hear the name Callaway, Golf is typically the first thing that comes to mind. However, Ely Callaway's first business venture was wine, and he helped put Temecula on the map as a serious wine producing region. His first vineyards were planted in 1969 and production began in 1970. We stopped here before heading home, and I'm glad we did. Instead of a tasting I decided to have a glass of the NV Bella Rosé ($12). Emitting a lovely peach bouquet, it's an excellent sparkling wine for summer. We sat outside and enjoyed the spectacular view and live entertainment provided by Tim Apple @timapplemusic and some delicious food from Meritage Restaurant (Thank you Mario U & Maritza D). We ended our wonderful visit with a delightful Port - 2018 Winemaker's Reserve ($15), which came with some dark chocolate. Callaway is also very popular with the locals. One of the regulars was there with his pet bunny - a giant Flemish that was chilling by the bar. One of the wine stewards informed me that there is a lady that brings her pet goat with her when she comes in. I'll be sure to bring some carrots with me on my next visit. Scrolling through photos I came across beautiful pictures we took while on a wine making tour with great friends back in September 2023! Reminiscing about the wonderful memories I realized I never left a review... and we had an amazing time , so better late than never! Rebecca was the tour guide and was a pleasure and informative! Amanda our wine server was a true professional who helped guide me in making wise wine selections as a newcomer! We had a wonderful day and I think it's time we returned!

Amanda was the BEST!! So knowledge and helpful and fun! I love Callaway wines! But Amandamade the entire wine tasting experience even better!!

Compared to the other wineries, this one just didn't stand out. It's basically a patio with a partial view, set up just to take money for the wine. I wish they'd tried a little harder to create an experience--maybe a walk through the vines or something more immersive, with the plants and environment. Just sitting under a shade sail and drinking wine? I can do that in my backyard.

Visited here as a part of the Temecula Wine Trolly Tour. Kiya was fantastic! Very knowledgeable, personable, and helped me find some awesome choices to sample. The property was beautiful! Would come back.

Went wine tasting earlier this week for my birthday. Callaways was our first stop and by far our favorite winery of the day. Laura V. was awesome! She was very friendly and knew just what wines to bring for us try. It was a terrific experience and we joined the wine club because of how Laura took care of us! Love this place for a glass of wine and breathtaking views. It also seems like everything is in order compared to other tasting rooms I've been to in wine country. Clean organized and a friendly staff.which makes it all the better for a glass of wine and watching the sunset.

Woo woo another winery in Temecula checked off! We decided to visit Callaway as it is supposedly known for being the first of all the wineries in Temecula Valley! With this in mind we signed up for not only the tasting, but the tour as well. The tour + tasting were very easy to book on Tock and cost $40 a person (held at 12pm and 2pm). The drive up to the winery was beautiful and upon walking in we loved how open the space was. Ther restaurant is off to the right and there's an open air seating area with live music! Then in the building to the left there's the gift shop and tasting room. We checked in for our tour and the tour itself lasted a little under an hour. It was very informative and nice that it was a small intimate group. For tasting you are provided with a little paper that they tear off as you drink each glass. You get 6 choices total and you can mix and match whatever you want from their tasting menu! The wines and sommeliers were great and we did end up walking away with a bottle!
