Lee isn’t just a bartender they’re a full-blown cocktail wizard. Every drink is made with ridiculous precision, effortless flair, and the kind of confidence that makes you think, “Yep, I’m in very safe hands here.” Whether it’s a perfectly balanced Old Fashioned (honestly, the best I’ve had) or something completely off-menu tailored to your mood, Lee absolutely nails it every single time. What really sets them apart is the combination of skill and personality. Super knowledgeable without ever being pretentious, quick with a recommendation, and somehow able to run a packed bar while still making you feel like you’re the VIP of the night. The attention to detail is unreal from the garnish to the glassware to the way the drink is presented. You can tell Lee genuinely cares about the craft. The speed, the consistency, the creativity it’s next level. Watching them work is half the experience. Outstanding drinks. Outstanding service. Absolute legend behind the bar. 🍸👏

Visited Callooh Callay for a birthday celebration. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which made the experience enjoyable. However, the prices are quite high for what you get. Cocktails are around £14–£16, and unfortunately the quality didn’t fully match the price. I don’t mind paying that amount for a well-crafted, standout cocktail, but these felt a bit underwhelming for the cost. That said, the atmosphere is fun and lively, and overall we still had a good time. Would I come back? Possibly — but mainly for the vibe rather than the cocktails themselves.

A really good evening the other night at Callooh. We were sat in the back room but the atmosphere was still great. Our server was Amy who I can’t recommend highly enough, very engaging and some great cocktail recommendations

Walked in and just felt lee’s presence. You knew he was here and it was going to be the best Sunday night in Shoreditch. Never seen someone 3 deep on the bar yet still doing table service. A credit to the venue, i believe it was his tunes also… he doesnt miss, other team take note.. this is lees world you just live in it

Had an amazing mocktail in a very cosy, viby bar. Service was excellent and even if the kitchen was closed (after midnight) the menu sounds delicious. Definitely would like to go there again.

Came in tonight randomly and Lee was instantly there to cater for my every need whilst satisfying all the other customers he had at his bar. I will definitely be coming back and bringing everyone I know for this man. Also, Lee… what a playlist!! Thank you so much and I hope you never stop working here!!

Lee might be the most underrated player in the cocktail industry. Not only is he funny and charming with guests he is also a wizard when it comes to classics cocktails. He promptly made my Park Slope cocktail with no hesitation and then made my Mushroom and Tomato cocktail from the menu which blew my mind. Lee then proceeded to serve me a thinking beer and also his favourite cocktail a Missionaries Downfall and then a Fish House Punch. When I say Lee didn’t miss a single step of service I mean in. Please come to Callooh and see Lee he is up and coming and also funny to the point where I had to excuse myself to the bathroom at I thought I was going to pee myself. Callooh Calley my go to spot.

Always so fantastic coming in late at night after shift, Katie and Lee were phenomenal as always. Lee held my pint at the door while I went for a smoke and proceeded to feed it to me, top service. Always recommend callooh for a late night spot, or earlier if you fancy a special treatment
