Just got a king cake from Costco in Huntsville, Alabama. It’s almost gone, so yummy.

A coworker brought their traditional King Cake to our job and I fell in love. Had to get it for myself, two in fact. Definitely the best REAL traditional King Cake in town. I'll be going to them every year going forward.

This bakery is amazing! They have every kind of king cake you can imagine! Today they had wedding cake king cake and also blueberry king cake. I bought a cream cheese and it definitely did not disappoint!

These are some of the absolute best King Cakes in the area. Every season we look forward to heading here and getting our fill on king cakes. They are always fresh and well stocked. Staff is very friendly and courteous. Hard to find a better place around.

Besides doing a terrific job of catering lunches for me where my favorite thing is the Grits and Grillades, I recently had a great experience with Coffee Cottage overnight shipping a three tiered king cake to Beaver Creek, Colorado for my son’s rehearsal dinner. It was delicious and a huge hit.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered their Crawfish Strudel. They arrived frozen and a dozen to a bag. A few months later and I am still eating them. So good - makes an excellent breakfast. Happy that I ordered a few dozen. The strudel is flaky and good and the filling decadent with the crawfish and cheese. You just bake them and enjoy and you can cook just one or several.

So with jazzfest not happening this year (again) this wonderful spot started offering Jazzfest Pop up foods! They were giving the option to preorder or to just walk in! This made jazzfest not happening an okay thing in my book! They partnered up with someone else for the mango freeze, but I was sooo happy it was offered. I ended up getting crawfish strudels, mango feeeze, white chocolate bread pudding and of course the crawfish Monica! Everything was reasonably priced and tasted so delicious! If for any reason Jazzfest doesn't happen again please please please continue this tradition! Love it!!

This king cake was a gift that we received hot and fresh as if it was straight out of the oven but it was actually probably just warm from being on the FedEx truck. We decided to dive right in.... spouse hails from New Orleans and when he saw the name of the cake was from "Caluda's" he proclaimed "never heard of it!" We shared it with two friends who had never had king cake and they inhaled it! After trying multiple king cakes over the years ....some from high-end bakeries.... we can without doubt claim this is by far the best one ever! It has a healthy amount of cinnamon filling found in your typical cinnamon roll and is so fresh. I never understood the king cake and was never a fan until today! We called family in New Orleans immediately after eating it to tell them this needs to be their go to for Mardi Gras king cake!

My sweet friend in NoLa shipped me a king cake! Being a native, he knows what's good, so I might have guessed he would pick a bakery that is top notch! I had the traditional king cake. That naked baby popped out with the very first slice! I shared it with a couple of my friends and they loved it too. It arrived to my doorstep fresh and delicious. Whomever said that Caluda's bakery makes a cake that "is so soft it melts in your mouth" is spot on. This really just adds one more reason why I need to pack my bags and move to the Big Easy.

about a year ago my boss asked me to find a caterer for the office parties and I knew the first place to look. We have been ordering from them ever since. We feed around 40 people at a time and everyone says how much they love it. I was not only impressed with the menu selection but the food presentation as well. Everything comes beautifully presented on tray with garnishments. I have made special requests which have all been met in the past. They have great lunch specials that are only $11/person including free delivery and quality paper products. The famous bread pudding is $50 a pan and is worth every penny. You can count on them to make your event effortless.

I've been to three meetings catered by Cottage Catering and all were very good. Ample portions and very good flavors. The Mediterranean chicken is really good with just the right amount of spinach and feta. Roasted mixed vegetables were great, and the spinach salad was good but had a bit too much dressing. The service is also very good. For our lunch buffet, they took care of everything, including clean-up, and all with a smile and happy attitude. The service for our continental breakfast was a bit less impressive. While the guy delivering it was friendly, he didn't set it up - just dropped it off and left. We had to get all the napkins and utensils out, and dig the coffee stir sticks out of a bag of creamer packs. Everything we needed was included and the food was good. Despite the minor inconvenience with the breakfast set up, I would recommend this caterer and will probably use them again for our meetings.

We used Cottage for a large upscale brunch and the food was absolutely incredible. I never thought chafing dish eggs could be appetizing but this crawfish egg bake was one of the most delicious breakfasts I'd ever had. Additionally the staff worked with me to really understand and adapt to my exact event, even when I didn't know what I needed to ask for. Absolutely recommend.

We stumbled Upon these great fold when another company bailed on us for being too picky. I really didn't think we were but the folks at Cottage were amazing. They helped us pick a great menu and options for our Rehearsal dinner and kept it in Budget. The best part was the food, it was all absolutely amazing delivered hot and fresh right on time! The Crawfish Pasta was insane, the crawfsh strudel is their signature which you see why, and even something as simple as the spinach dip was top notch. And to top it off they made a great King Cake. I would highly recommend them. 5 stars all the way. Thank you!

This place is phenomenal! I first experienced Cottage Catering at jazz fest! I attend every year prepared to indulge in there world famous white chocolate bread pudding. I have traveled the world searching for the perfect bread pudding and I have definitely found it here. I ordered a half pan for Thanksgiving Holidays to introduce my family to this delicious delight. My family is very traditional and picky about food(true Louisianaians). My family was totally blown away! My family begged me to bring another pan for Christmas, which I so happily did. If you're looking for a delightful treat, look no further. White chocolate bread pudding is the way to go.

Don't waste your time. I ordered a King Cake to be delivered in time for my family's special occasion... it arrived over a week after it was shipped (8 days to be exact), and had MOLD all over it. Completely inedible, so can't really review on the taste/quality of their cakes... but their customer service (or lack there of) was disgusting. Shipping delays happen, but at least have the decency to reply to emails, return calls and/or make any effort at all to resolve the issue. Instead they just ghosted me (going on 2 weeks now), and i ended up paying over $60 for a few stands of cheap beads. STOP using Covid as an excuse for poor business practices. Would NOT recommend to anyone I know. If i could give zero stars i would.

I had the pleasure of working with cottage for the zulu ball. Johnita was on it and super professional. She really prioritized my catering needs and allowed me to customize my order to fit my guests needs. The bbq chicken was tender and seasoned well, crawfish pasta was amazing, gumbo was a crowd pleaser(my family is a tough crowd) the crawfish strudel was delicious as usual and deviled eggs were good. They package everything neatly and give customers more than enough serving utensils. Orders are ready on time and the food was more than enough for 10 ppl. I will definitely call on them for my work events and also for zulu ball next yr.

I've only come to Cottage Catering to get the Caluda's King Cake. During the off season they typically make about 4 king cakes a day that anyone can buy, but if you really want a king cake, make sure to pre-order it the day or two before. During the Mardi Gras Season, Caluda's does some wonderful special king cakes of the week including: Chocolate Chip, Maple Bacon Praline, and Banana Foster. These sell out quick so if you want one of the special week king cakes, I suggest getting there when they open at 7 am. When I walked into Cottage Catering, it appeared the only thing I could purchase was kingcakes, I didn't see much that I could just go in and purchase. There were a couple of menus I looked at that including catering. Maybe one day I will come back to try the actual catering, but the King Cake is pretty decent!

Arguably, the best bread pudding ever! (Besides my grandmothers!) They serve it at Jazz Fest and it is "one of those foods" that I look forward to every year. I just found out that you can order it online...this might be dangerous. Their food is fresh and tasty. Their prices are not too high. A good place to get catering from.

I love Cottage Catering! When I was in medical sales for 3 years, I often depended on them to cater lunches for a crowd. Everything they served was spot on. My favorite things included the vegetable tray, with the yummiest grilled veggies. That was a real crowd pleaser. If I couldn't decide what to serve, they were very helpful. I could just give them a price range, and they always came through with flying colors! The real crowd pleaser was always the white chocolate bread pudding. That is a must for anyone who wants to wow the crowd!!!! If you are lucky enough to live in NOLA, and attend Jazzfest, be sure to stop by for Crawfish Streudel and White Chocolate Bread Pudding. You will think you died and went to heaven!

Caluda's bakery makes one of the best king cakes I have ever eaten and I have had a fair share of King cakes from Maurice's, Haydel's to Randazzo's. The bread is so soft that it melts in your mouth. If you have a sweet tooth, Caluda's King cake will definitely fix that. Their King cakes tastes good as much as Randazzo's.

I had a dialogue going with Cottage Catering about my event and confirmed the date and time, and that I definitely wanted to hire them (I have both an email and text thread clearly demonstrating this in case they try to claim otherwise). They sent me menus, and we were going back and forth to fine-tune exactly what we wanted. They told me I had until Wednesday to lock the menu so they could order ingredients for Friday's event, but on Tuesday, sent me a message saying they wouldn't be able to cater the event as promised because other people came in and wanted that slot so they were now unable to do the job. They told me this TWO DAYS BEFORE MY EVENT, and left me scrambling to find a replacement. Their demonstrable lack of ethics and willingness to honor their word should serve as a warning to anyone considering hiring them for their event, and given my personal experience (I've dealt with caterers all over the country for many years, and have never had anyone act so unprofessionally), I urge anyone seriously considering spending their hard-earned money to look elsewhere; there are plenty of honorable, ethical caterers in the area who will do a great job for you, and unlike Cottage Catering, won't leave you high and dry. These folks have proven themselves to be both unprofessional and unreliable, so please consider yourselves warned.

Wow! What a terrific place! I ordered appetizers and a king cake all a in one place. The crawfish strudel are flaky, cheesy, spicy perfection. The king cake is soft, fresh and one of the best I've ever had. Will definitely be using them again.

Horrible customer service. The had me visiting 3 times for my king cake flavors I wanted. Third time manager promised she would hold cake for me. When I went there she did not have my king cake. The second king cake I had was dry from them. I was willing to over look. But making a customer drive all the way to your store and then you lied to them, horrible.I ended up going to Randazo. They had line going out the door. For the 5 minute I sat at Caluda's I was the only customer. I see why Randazo has line and they don't. Bought 2 king cakes from Randazo, they had plenty of every flavor and filling. Great customer service. Counter person was very patient and courteous helping me select my cakes.

John Caluda and company just do it right....period. Our wedding reception in New Orleans via Chicago was made complete by Cottage Catering's above and beyond attention to detail and service. Our wedding guests haven't stopped raving about their dinner since we returned. Their fantastic job of planning, communicating and delivering for our event made our wedding simply fantastic. Their flexibility to "cater" to our needs exceeded our modest goals of having a fun, economical yet tasty wedding reception. If you're looking for good food for any event these guys have it licked.

I can review this business because I knew them when it was Coffee Cottage on Metairie Road,I was actually so disgusted and depressed when they had to close,they had the best pastries,sandwiches etcetera.I searched for them but was unsuccessful.Well,now I will have to order because they're so good.Looking for a menu.

I used Cottage Catering for one of our customer appreciation lunches and I'm very pleased! The delivery was right on time and the food was absolutely delicious. They are still talking about the crawfish streudels and roasted garlic deviled eggs, along with the pastries...mmmmm! I'll be using their services again soon.

Coffee Cottage is a classic down here. Originally in Old Metairie, the only location left now is in River Ridge in the site of a previously failed coffee bar locale. Coffee Cottage isn't actually known for it's coffee. It's really known for it's King Cakes and it's Crawfish Struedel they serve up at JazzFest. Location also has a decent food menu and now does comedy nights.

We bought the plain king cake on Kings day and wow! It was the best king cake I have ever tasted. It was super fresh and definitely beats Randazzos. This past week- we bought the Maple Bacon Praline and wow! Another amazing king cake. I will always come here for king cakes and recommend it to everyone.

I have used Cottage Catering for countless office breakfast and lunch meetings over the last 5 years. They offer a wide variety of choices at very resonable prices. The food always arrives on time, at the correct temperature, all of the details are taken care of, and it is consistantly excellent. The cheese grits are AMAZING! Another office favorite is the Burger and Baked Potato bar. We have also used Cottage Catering for our office Christmas parties, and the reception food is equally as well done. I highly recommend John and his staff for any catering needs.

I am an events manager for a local organization and decided to try Cottage Catering to cater 350 box lunches for our Professional Development Saturday. I couldn't have been more pleased with the level of professionalism, timeliness, and quality of the food we received. Leslie and her team even went the extra mile to supply us with a fabulous vegan option all within our budget! I am still hearing how everyone enjoyed their lunch, especially the chicken pesto! Cottage Catering has got sinful white chocolate breadpudding, the BEST King Cake in the city, the ORIGINATOR of the Crawfish King Cake ... They have provided the best spreads ... They ARE THE BEST!!
