7 Vegetable-Forward Restaurants In Taipei

"The distinguishing feature of Cambodian cuisine lies within the large amounts of fresh spices and fresh vegetables used. The restaurant bases its foundation on this, adding ingredients rich in Taiwanese flavor and produce from small farmers in Yangmingshan, creating fusion dishes filled with both Taiwanese and Cambodian flavors." - Michelin Guide Digital-Hong Kong Macau

Coffee is to the expectation. Apple tart...was not served warm. Not the top-selection I'll say. A fork is better to have it. Unfixed metal chain for water dripping from the roof just hang there. The garden seems recklessly taken care of. Same as the corners inside of the antique stylish house. What a pity!

Relaxing environment, with a Japanese style tinged house surrounded by the green bamboo trees. The coffee is fine, the desserts very good.

I went to this café recently and tried a couple of things. The brioche with smoked salmon and spinach wasn’t really my favorite. The salmon was super small, and the tiny cup of soup on the side didn’t add much. Not something I’d recommend. But the Spanish omelette with shrimp? That was awesome. The potatoes inside the omelette were a nice touch, and the crispy onions on top were perfect. Definitely worth trying. We also got two milk foam lattes with cocoa powder on top. The cocoa powder was a nice addition, but the coffee itself was just okay. The vibe of the café is really cool though, and the bamboo in the backyard gives it a nice view.

A nice coffee shop in Yangmingshan serving breakfast brunch and afternoon tea. A good place to hang out. Coffee shop in an heritage old building so try a nice outdoor environment. They also have a roastery workshop offering courses for customer to join. Food is average though but coffee not bad. Good for photos too. For afternoon tea and weekend better reserve table in advance.

Food was subpar. Not too many options available on the day despite the fairly extensive menu.

My friends and I made a reservation at 14:15 but we were late for about 20 minutes. The staff are friendly and kept the table for us until we arrived. The food and drinks are okay and the great part of this restaurant is about its scenery views and building design. Would love to go back again to enjoy the nice ambiance. Only two downsides for the restaurant: the time limit is 90 mins, which is too short and stressful for a restaurant to enjoy the views. The food service needs to be improved as it is way too slow and is unresponsive to customers’ needs. Additionally, my family appreciated the ambiance. However, the time constraint remains a concern. Despite my second visit, the service speed was still slow, and we were informed of the time limit only an hour into our meal (waiting around 30 mins). The coffee is excellent; typically, I experience palpitations with caffeine, but I don't encounter any issues with the handmade coffee here.

If I rate the place based on coffee alone it will get 4 stars. Food wise was average or below average. Did not like the vongole pasta, not much flavour and was still quite spicy.
