The Best Restaurants and Bars in Camas, Washington | Eater Portland

"Camas Cheese Co. recently opened in the former Truly Scrumptious space. The compact, cut-to-order cheese shop has a refrigerated glass case filled with double cream Gouda from the Netherlands and Idiazabal from Spain, as well as domestic dairy treasures like BellaVitano Gold from Wisconsin and farmhouse cheese with peppercorns made by Twin Sisters Creamery in Ferndale, Washington. A small refrigerator by the door holds a variety of vegan cheeses, French butter, and sausages from Olympia Provisions. Accompaniments like guava paste, preserves, fancy crackers, tinned seafood from Fishwife, and a variety of Savoursmiths potato crisps fill the shelves. The sales receipt comes with a description of each purchased cheese, as well as suggested pairings." - Rachel Pinsky

Neat business selling cheese (and a lot of good cheese). This is like a company from yesteryear when businesses specialized in specific products. This is a great place that compliments the culture of downtown Camas. A clever touch is your receipt gives you wine suggestions to go with the cheese! I hope you go visit and give the owners your support!

After reading here about the new Camas Cheese Company, we stopped in yesterday to check them out. We bought a few different cheeses: some aged Gouda, Humboldt Fog (a Morbier style cheese from Cypress Grove in CA), Roquefort black label. They don’t have a ton of different cheeses, but what they do have is all good quality. Very happy to have them in Camas. One thing we really love, the receipt gives the name plus a detailed description. For example: Roquefort black label - France - Papillon - Sheep's milk, raw - Natural rind - Pairs well with: Sauternes, Sweet Rieslings, Belgian Strong Ale, Port, Good Wolf Drinks, crusty baguette, pears, shortbread or chocolate chip cookies.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing not only the delightful products of Camas Cheese Company but also their exemplary service recovery. When I encountered an issue with some goat cheese being frozen, their response was swift and efficient. They turned what could have been a frustrating situation into a testament to their commitment to customer satisfaction. Andy (one of the owners) was incredibly courteous and ensured that my concerns were addressed promptly. Plus, their cheese? Absolutely phenomenal—rich, flavorful, and a true delight for any cheese lover. I highly recommend Camas Cheese Company for both their top-tier products and their outstanding customer service. Five stars all the way!

Stopped in with my son during the pop up hours today and I can already tell I’m going to be a regular! We bought one of the grab and graze boxes and also got some cheese from the case. Sooo good. Cheese lovers get here asap when they open July 5th!

A lovely little specialty cheese shop in Camas! The owners are very knowledgable and friendly. Whenever I'm in Camas I stop in and we get to enjoy a lovely cheese plate at home that evening. I appreciate the great selection!

This place is such a little gem, and sweet surprise. The customer service was great, and we had a delicious sample that made us buy some delicious Gouda from Holland. I was also excited to see spicy salami from Italy and Nduja from Calabria!
