"This bright, bustling spot downtown is known for its downright inspired coffee and tea concoctions, but also serves breakfast sandwiches, salads, yogurt bowls and tartines every morning until noon, along with a topped gluten-free focaccia on Sundays. Pick up one of their house coffee blends and some specialty brewing equipment while you’re there — there’s a reason Camber made a 2022 Thrillist list of the best coffee roasters in the country." - Megan Hill, Jessamyn Tuttle

Friendly but slow service for espresso drinks. Cappuccino is well made. Lemon olive oil cake was slightly dry but still well made. Lunch menu items are not available after the kitchen closes at noon.

Every time I go to Bellingham, I’ll stop at this cafe for a coffee and snack. The coffee is premium and is one of the best. I also had their fresh made biscuit with homemade blueberry and lavender jam. Delicious!

Whenever I find a coffee place my wife really likes, it’s an extra special win! Camber coffee ended up being one of those places. Now my wife is not that complicated (I’m picky one). She like a soy milk vanilla latte, often times iced and at times hot. That being said, sooo many places serve burnt tasting coffee and that sucks, cuz coffee drinks have never been pricier. We got lucky and caught this coffee shop just before closing, in fact we were the last customers. My wife loved her drink and my drink was weird…no-UNIQUE and fantastic. I ordered a yuzu espresso martini (no alcohol) and was stunned by how much I enjoyed it. I also order a straight double shot and for this pickier folks out there like me, this options always separate the decent coffee stop from a genuine gem. All our drinks were superior tasting in my our humble opinion. This place is a template for the quality I hope one days is the standard. Enjoy!

Google
Camber has two good vegetarian breakfast biscuit sandwiches. Somehow they were better two years ago vs now, but still very good. Most recently we had the pesto sandwich (vegetarian as listed on the menu) and the "standard" with a substitution of a Beyond Sausage patty. (For other old-timers like us, the previously offered spectacular Earthly Delights sandwich is no longer on the menu.) Staff were friendly and helpful. We've visited several times, and the crowd appears to arrive shortly after 9am. There's a gender-neutral restroom available.

Google
9/10 latte art, 9/10 taste, 9/10 experience, Beans 10/10 - A benchmark for good coffee. From definition in the latte art to the excellent ambiance this is one of Washington’s finest coffee shops. The beans helped pour some of the best latte art I have done. Worth the trip up from Seattle to find good coffee.

Google
We stopped here for breakfast and the place is very cute. The ambiance is modern and welcoming, and the service was delightful. On top of that, the coffee is amazing. With that said, the food left a bit to be desired. It is definitely fresh and well portioned, and I could tell that they're leaning into healthy eating, but the food is a bit on the bland side and just sort of unbalanced. We'd definitely come back for the drinks, but have had better breakfast in Bellingham.

Google
This is one of my favorite coffee shops in Bellingham, hands down. 😍 They have creative seasonal drinks that are always delicious, house-made pastries + breakfast/brunch items, and a curated collection of coffee beans and gift items. They roast their own beans and I love their espresso beans for making my own lattes at home. The cafe is beautiful and airy inside, with a modern vibe. There are tables or cafe bar seating. It’s also located next to some cute shops and restaurants, if you decide to explore the downtown Bellingham area on foot. Tip: the cafe closes early (2pm), so be sure to visit them early if you want something here! You can order online for pickup on Toast or you can walk in - both options are efficient.

Google
Camber Coffee did not disappoint at all. Atmosphere was very pleasant. Warm shades of the interior made it feel very cozy and relaxed. The music was at a perfect volume and genre. Quiet enough to not hear when you’re focused on work but loud enough to hear it if you’re just enjoying your coffee. ☕️ I decided to try one of their seasonal drinks. Candied Pecan Latte was delicious!! Best part - the sweetness wasn’t overwhelming. Last but not least, the service was great! The employees were very pleasant and friendly. You can tell that this place has a lot of regulars but they make sure to make every new customer feel like a regular. Bottom line: I will definitely keep coming back! 💯 This is a great place to enjoy coffee and get some work done.

Yelp
Went in for coffee but food was an unexpected bonus.Excellent coffee! Excellent breakfast! The ambience was comfortable and clean.

Yelp
I have not been to the physical coffee shop, so this review is for their beans only. I bought a bag of Big Joy espresso blend from a local coffee shop and was instantly hooked. I have tried a lot of beans and this one is still my favorite. Unfortunately the only way I am able to get my hands on it is if I drive 30 mins to the coffee shop in LA that sells it and wait in their usual 1 hour line. I would love to support and buy direct from your website, but there is no way I'm paying $8.50 for shipping. In order to hit the $40 free shipping limit, I would have to buy 3 bags, and it's just not possible for me to go through that many bags as a home barista before the beans lose it's freshness. Please consider either a) lowering the free shipping minimum on your website to $36 instead of $40, b) offer free shipping with any 2 bag minimum purchase or, c) offer free shipping for subscriptions. TLDR: Please make it more affordable for home baristas to purchase the Big Joy blend!

Yelp
My partner and I lived in the area for a summer and Camber quickly became one of our favorite spots in the area (and I miss those seasonal drinks!!). The staff was super friendly and always incredibly helpful. The food was delicious and we always had leftovers (making tomorrow's breakfast exciting, too)! But the coffee and tea drinks were some of the best I've had in the country. I still dream of their Fall drinks.

Jane B.

Yelp
Great homemade chai tea lattes and come here for their delicious homemade buttermilk biscuits. Awesome. They were so good. We took the remaining home for Family.

rylee k.

Yelp
As someone who is gluten free and dairy free (by preference, not celiac), this place is top notch! Been here a total of 3 times and every time the breakfast sandwiches and coffee are great. The gluten free focaccia is especially good.

Jay E.

Yelp
50 degrees outside, raining, and they keep their door open. Nearly as cold inside as outside. Everyone where their jackets inside to stay warm and they don't comply if people ask them if door can be closed. What's the point of going for a meal or coffee if you are sitting in a cold uncomfortable place and can't enjoy it.

A R.

Yelp
Breakfast sandwich wasn't good. Cookie was good. But what's up with this place being a co working space. Seriously.... I work from coffee shops but I choose smaller tables or bars. Both 6 person booths had 1 person working with empty coffees when we got there. 45 mins later still there with empty coffee. While my family if 4 ate breakfast huddled around a 2 top. Management should manage this awful situation for people who actually want to eat there and not just work with free wifi.

Lisa R.

Yelp
We arrived and the line was out the door. We got our coffee super fast, and our food came about 20 min from the time we ordered. Totally reasonable for how busy they were. Everything was super delicious, we got a tomato toast and a bowl of yogurt/granola. Their house made granola is lovely and we will definitely return. The dining room is really pretty, good vibes

Zack G.

Yelp
The coffee and atmosphere were great. If I lived nearby I would definitely come here often for a latte to hang out and work/read. I got an autumn latte which I think was an upgraded PSL to help people like me hide their basic-ness. Nonetheless, it was perfect for the fall weather. I also got a breakfast sandwich and it was pretty good but nothing to write home about. It was also a bit pricey for what it was, hence the 4 stars.

Yelp
(https://cambercoffee.com/) How I heard of this place: A walk through downtown, a recommendation from my sisters, and the pictures on their website... Type of cuisine: "Opened in July of 2017, Camber's flagship location can be found in downtown Bellingham, WA. Our team consists of supremely talented individuals who are committed to our guest's experience. We offer seasonal beverage and food menus crafted to showcase each thoughtfully-chosen ingredient. We're in pursuit of unrelenting quality, consistency, and joy." Ambiance: Warm, welcoming, sleek and cozy, this long (not wide) cafe and it's covered outdoor parking spot patio is ripe for a restful visit and consumption of delicious food and beverage. The lengthy bar, the top of which is the cashier, ending with the kitchen at the far back of the establishment is perfect for conversations with baristas as you await your beverages. Bar-height tables and chairs at the front are lit by the natural stream entering through the windows; the booth seating at the back of the dining area is more dimlit and cozy, slightly offering privacy for more intimate get-togethers. The feeling of community, friendship abounds. What I ordered: We enjoy seasonal specials upon most visits to Bellingham. Choosing a favorite among our plentiful orders is a challenge. Breakfast sandwiches became a quick favorite with the huge housemade biscuits and chicken sausage (the vegetarian just as good!). We loved the housemade granola and thoughtful, plentiful toppings over a house-recipe coconut yogurt. On each visit, we select at least two of their pastries, as well. From shortbread to cake, from scones to cookies, no crumb has been left behind. The flavor combinations are novel and purposeful in their intrigue and taste. Nothing will disappoint; you'll win with every selection, and want more. What I loved: As you can see, everything! We especially enjoy the seasonal beverage optioins - from espresso to matcha, from housemade flavors in steamed milk to robust teas. On a Passing Cloud, a lovely beverage has come to be one I crave and look forward to each time...though often I'm swayed by the new, seasonal offerings. Why I loved it: The baristas are kind and warm, friendly and remember us - even when it's been months since previous visits. The kitchen staff are amazingly talented and it's obvious that they love what they do. They truly have honed their craft and we are the happy recipients. Cost: High

Earnie G.

Yelp
Eh. Not sure here. The coffee I've had from here is good, but not outstanding. Not sure how they won awards for it. Staff is not exactly friendly. Speak with the baristas, and the front counter/cashier person is likely to be all in your face telling you not to even try to speak to the baristas. Pastry selections are limited. Food hours and availability are super spotty to the point of not even being worth considering. A fail. We'll see how the bags of beans I purchased go over the next few weeks, but right now I am tending towards not returning. Which is too bad because the space itself is beautiful--maybe too beautiful in a way that's infused the staff with snobbery and overly hipster superiority complex attitudes.

Yelp
On a chilly morning before a college tour, we began to nerd out about coffee, and found the perfect fit! Great ambiance, good selection of roasted in house coffee. We purchased a pour-over and a cortado, such different flavor profiles, both delicious.

Cherry C.

Yelp
I was so excited to try Camber and while I thought the drinks were great, the food left a lot to be desired. I got the hojicha latte and my husband got an Americano. Delicious drinks! Well balanced and lots of tea flavor in my latte. For food, I got the seasonal toast with beets, gorgonzola and balsamic and it was... Very tart! A lot more tart than I imagined and not my favorite. My husband got the breakfast sandwich and it was also just okay. He said the second/sandwich and pastry was too hard. We went on a Sunday around noon and parking was impossible to find FYI!

Dee M.

Yelp
We got a cappuccino, biscoff latte, mocha, caprese sandwich, pesto egg and lox sandwich. Both the food and coffee were great!

Kt M.

Yelp
This place is such a go to spot for me to have a meeting or get some work done. Love the details like the wooden tray w sparkly water that comes w my espresso. Their gluten free ricotta toast w house made jam is super yum. And they have gluten free ciabatta my friends. I only wish they had a dark roast and opened at 7am. This late opening drops my going there by over 50-60%. All us early risers settle in someplace else.

Megan L.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my cranberry crumble latte on a foggy Sunday morning. At $6.50 for 10oz, this drink came with a lovely blend of a delicious cranberry pastry and smooth undertones of coffee. In my years as a Yelper, I've never had anything like it, and I made sure to savor every drop. As someone that scouts out coffee shops with non-traditional drinks, there were also plenty of other seasonal drinks to pique my interest, such as the tea latte and mushroom (!) drink. The inside is roomy, clean, and peaceful, great for working or catching up with friends. They have some pastries and savory menu items as well. Overall, I would recommend this place to both coffee purists and eccentrics alike!

LuFei L.

Yelp
Camber is a lovely cafe in Bellingham. I've been crossing the border from Vancouver to visit some of the cafes here and it never disappoints! I love how beautifully decorated Camber is and there is a lot of seating available. The staff were very nice and also very nice to the dog another customer brought inside. No complaints about the coffee either. Especially with their gorgeous to go cups. It's such a unique and artsy design :)

Dakota R.

Yelp
Go. Here. Great neighborhood coffee spot with an amazing kitchen and friendly folks. Lives up to NYT reviews. Odd, for such a coffee Mecca, that they only offer whole milk and oat milk. Guess the rest of us are out of luck...

Elaine L.

Yelp
Delicious coffee, yummy breakfast food and great ambiance! Really enjoyed the breakfast biscuit- the biscuit was crunchy on the outside and super fluffy in the inside! The salmon lox was enjoyable but nothing too special, and the mocha was delicious and the latte art was so beautiful!

Jason H.

Yelp
Amazing place! Came here from out of town. Had the "standard" biscuit sandwich. The flavors was amazing. Being my first time here the person at the counter was super helpful and friendly!

Chris J.

Yelp
I think easily my favorite coffee shop in Washington so far. Immaculately cozy atmosphere to work or study in, incredibly friendly and helpful staff, fantastic innovative coffee and tea drinks as well as a fridge filled with all kinds of really cool goodies and products like their awesome homemade syrups (london fog for example) and the delicious low-cal soda alternatives poppi. There isn't a lot of real estate for the line here but that's how it goes in cute little towns like Bellingham. Haven't had to stand outside yet but I don't know if I come when it's the most crowded. Highly recommend this place to anyone in town as its truly one of my highlights whenever I visit. Thanks for being awesome Camber.

Brendan c.

Yelp
All show but rather average. The only reason to come here is if you actually drink your coffee straight and are good at picking out the different flavors. If you like specialty coffees, you are both wasting your money and time. The baristas are good at making milk foam leaves but not much else. Service is slow. The look is trying too hard to be minimalist. The bakery items are mostly a pass but I will say the chocolate espresso muffin is worth getting. They stop food orders at noon which is really weird.

James L.

Yelp
Just holy dang good! Biscuit sandwich with sausage and egg is the best! And the cortado with oat milk makes the winning combo. Throw in great friendly service to make this my favorite breakfast spot in Bellingham! Sorry no picture because I ate it all.

Julie B.

Yelp
I love Camber!! It's one of my favorite places to grab a coffee, sit and read, get some work done, or catch up with a friend. One big qualm: for my fellow non-dairy, non-gluten / Celiac folks -- their oat milk brand IS NOT gluten free and it's the only non-dairy milk they offer....so you're sort of out of luck when it comes to safely ordering any milk-based drink. I wish they'd offer at least one other option (soy, almond, etc.), use a gluten free oat milk brand, or at least mark on their menu that the oat milk brand they offer (Minor Figures) isn't gluten free so folks don't get sick and wonder what they ate/drank to cause it.

Ann N.

Yelp
Oh my gosh I had the BEST hot bevvy here the other day! It wasn't coffee...I believe it was called the Slow Burn and it had chocolate, ashwaghanda, reishi mushroom, and other unusual bits of loveliness in it. It was absolutely delicious! My husband got a boring old Americano made with their Big Joy blend. We also purchased a bag of whole beans in the Guatemala Aguacatones roast. At $25 a bag, it won't be our everyday go-to, but as a special treat for pour-over java on the weekend, it will be perfect. The atmosphere is airy, light and has the Bellingham vibe down perfect. We will definitely be back when we want to spoil ourselves with caffeinated goodness! We also had a biscuit sandwich with chicken sausage, egg, Garlic, aïoli, cheese, and sunflower seed gremolata, sitting atop a homemade biscuit. It was absolutely fabulous, the perfect blend of flavors.

Alisa F.

Yelp
I got a short latte and a bag of beans from here a little while ago on a trip to Bellingham. The latte was okay, but had kind of an off-putting sour flavor. I'm not sure if it was a result of acidic espresso or what, but if left an acrid taste in my mouth. The coffee was also pretty pricey and I expected a bit more. The beans were pretty good pulled on espresso at home though. I loved their cups, bag designs, and shirts! I work at a specialty coffee shop and this place was recommended as the best coffee in town, but the search will continue.

Marie B.

Yelp
I usually do one or two monthly trips up north to visit my favorite spots in Edison, Bow, and Bellingham. Call it therapy - wandering Whatcom County. Yesterday (8/29/21), I decided to forego on three usual stops and seek out Camber instead. I was able to find nearby street parking in a lively section of downtown, lots of pedestrians, sidewalk dining, and folks enjoying the late summer sunshine. Walked into Camber and immediately loved the interior, lots of bright natural light, fresh flowers in vases throughout, assorted seating arrangements, and cool merch to look at. But also duly noted on my first visit, friendly welcoming counter staff, spot on crafted iced mocha (started a stamp card too), and a delicious breakfast sandwich. That buttermilk biscuit was one of the best in recent memory! I enjoyed sitting at the counter facing the sidewalk, great for people watching. This area sure was hopping for Sunday midday. Also, I bought a 12 ounce bag of Camber's Ethiopia Gogogu, roasted on 8/16/21. As I write this Yelp post, I am enjoying the quality roast and the resulting flavorful cup of coffee this morning. Got to treat oneself right working remote. Life's too short to consume crappy cups of coffee. Glad I stopped in, definitely adding Camber on my northbound rotation!

Dean M.

Yelp
Delicious drinks here to energize yourself while walking around to the antique and record store nearby

Melody X.

Yelp
Definitely recommend this place! Nice location with lots of natural light. They offered a good selection of food. I really enjoyed my sandwich with the house made carrot sauce. My oat latte was good as well but nothing special (it's still good just not amazing). The service was great, they were super helpful on deciding what to order.

Jerom G.

Yelp
This is a serious latè. I make it a point to sample the espresso in every town I visit to in the northwest And these guys are in the top three .

Katie R.

Yelp
Such a cute coffee shop! Love the yogurt bowl. The art featured on merch is really cool.

Frannie Y.

Yelp
What a great cafe! My partner and I were visiting from Seattle and decided to try out these breakfast biscuit sandwiches, and they were delicious! He got the sausage one and I got the veggie one. The biscuits were so flaky and light and were huge! My partner actually said it was one of the best biscuits he's ever had. The sausage in his was so flavorful and had a great pepper taste. I loved the sun dried tomato pesto on my biscuit. We also got their carrot hot sauce which wasn't spicy but added a nice flavor to everything.

Geff P.

Yelp
Pinnacle experience every time. What sets them apart is the Top tier Arabica, and lighter side of medium roast to showcase the profile ! Gloria is a sheer Delight * Knowledgable about each region yet dialing in on the customers needs. And they bake everything there. Plus they know how to keep the line moving while maintaining a cheerful demeanor. Wow.

Erin M.

Yelp
Today I had a few hours worth of work I needed to get done, so I went to Camber to hunker down with a well-made coffee and some food. When I got there and after I had already ordered my coffee, they let me know that today is their Chef's day off so it is only coffee. Hmm, it would have been nice if this was posted anywhere, but ok. I waited about 10-15 minuted for my coffee to come up, and when it did, there was no art, and it was not really all that hot. For a $6 and self-proclaimed gourmet coffee, I did expect a bit more than this. After all this, the internet was too slow for me to do work anyways, so I left to a different spot to do work. This was such a bummer as I have had really good experiences here in the past, possibly COVID hit them hard and they are still recovering.

Molly I.

Yelp
Camber is such a treat. I make an effort to stop in everytime I'm in, passing through, or even in the proximity of Bellingham. The last two times I've been have been during Covid - times, and Camber has a covered outdoor space, handles masking and distancing beautifully, and still produces a gorgeous cup of coffee. Americanos are delicious, cappuccinos are made well with a creamy foam and wonderful proportions, and on my last stop in I tried their speciality drink On a Passing Cloud (Oatmilk, cinnamon, orange, a hint of maple I believe). It was beautifully crafted, shaken to be served cold, just....divine. Their pastries are delectable (the cookies on particular just...melt in your mouth in the best way!). Savory breakfast eats are yummy, and they even offer wines in the afternoon/evening. It's truly a pleasurable spot. Highly recommend you stop in, and do realize - the prices feel a little high for Bellingham, but boy oh boy it is - Worth. it.

Hannah B.

Yelp
This place is so lovely. I live south of Seattle, but every time I visit Bellingham I really enjoy stopping at Camber- it's like a special treat for sure! This little coffee shop is tucked on the corner of the main road downtown Bellingham. Camber has always been a chic, clean, and welcoming coffee stop and they've only gotten better over the years. At my last visit I enjoyed one of their breakfast sandwiches. It's my understanding that these are newer menu items for Camber and they are AWESOME! The sandwich had egg, a slightly spicy meat patty, and all kinds of good sauces. It was also on a heavenly rosemary biscuit. I literally devoured it. I also had an 'Apple of my Chai' Latte, which was unreal. It was like literally drinking fall from a mug. Camber also has a small bakery selection with items like cookies and muffins. They provide cups for in house beverages or to go as well. I love everything every time I visit Camber. I highly recommend stopping by!

Daniel S.

Yelp
TLDR: Camber's Flagship Café is a gem of a coffee shop in downtown Bellingham. I definitely recommend you pay it a visit! Make sure you chat with the baristas for recommendations and lots of fun details. The Service The barista that advised and served me really knew her stuff! And, despite having a couple others in line behind me, took the time and care to discuss their coffee offerings with me in detail. The Coffee I had the Birthday Blend espresso (neat), which is a double Ethiopian blend. The double shot was well extracted and overall delightful! Stone fruit came through both on the nose and in the cup. It had a syrupy body and a very balanced acidity. The floral notes that one might expect from an Ethiopian were largely covered by the darker roast (specifically for espresso). I also had the Blueberry Fields, one of Camber's rotating seasonal drinks created in-house by their baristas. The Big Joy espresso came through the iced latte to create a satisfying, sweet blend. The jammy blueberry compote was a refreshing and sweet finish to the layered iced latte. The Atmosphere The café is modern, with lots of nice touches. Pink Himalayan salt grinders and local, fresh flowers, were standout to me. The music was old-timey, with songs like "The Rising Sun Blues," and "Jolene." Perfect for a morning coffee meet-up, a little brunch, or a fresh spot to dive into a good book!

Emily L.

Yelp
The coffee here is so good. Plus, the people working here are the nicest people. They helped me pick out espresso, and they also helped me pick out a place to eat for lunch. The pastries here are also to die for

Adam K.

Yelp
Great service and friendly baristas. The shop itself is lovely, and the coffee is also great. We both had great cortados!

Hannah Z.

Yelp
Camber was a lovely shop. I spent my 30th birthday weekend in Bellingham from Chicago and made sure to check out Camber since I'd seen it had been called the best coffee in Bellingham on a ton of lists. The coffee was beyond exceptional and I wish I had more time to try more menu items. I was meh on the toast I got, but my friends loved their food (breakfast sandwich and avocado toast).

Kelly G.

Yelp
Great location with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The food is very fresh and many healthy options. I would recommend the breakfast salad!

Danielle M.

Yelp
Too busy to get an order in as the line was long and we waited several minutes but figured we can find good coffee many places in downtown but the decor was very cute and the place was super busy so that's a good sign.

Chandler C.

Yelp
I put 4 starts because it can be pricey and the staff can sometimes have that high quality coffee snooty attitude. You are guaranteed a great drink and good experience at this gorgeous cafe. Worth the stop.

Scot W.

Yelp
I am a little surprised I haven't reviewed Camber already. My sister and her family live nearby, and I go at least two-three times whenever I'm in town (yesterday and today included). The coffee is always great. I mostly go for straight espresso or for pour overs, and they are top notch for both. They also do great cortadoes (is there an "e" when cortado is plural?) and their seasonal concoctions are always enticing. I haven't eaten here many times, but the food has been good and the atmosphere is pleasant. The staff is always very friendly. If you brew at home, buy some beans here. I order beans from them occasionally and always buy some when I get the chance to visit. It is not hyperbole to say they are one of the best roasters in the country. (I spend an embarrassing amount of time and energy--and yes, money--on coffee and feel pretty qualified to make that statement.)

Alex G.

Yelp
First time stopping buy. Good vibes. Got Japanese woods off seasonal menu tasted amazing. Cookie, biscuit, muffin really good. Will be back.

Beth Y.

Yelp
Cute coffee shop with yummy coffee. My friend got the breakfast sandwich and wasn't a fan. There aren't many food options but their pastries looked delicious. There was plenty of seating and lots of open space.

Annette R.

Yelp
Boujee Coffee Snobs check it out! Limited flavors, but natural healthy selections. It is a great place to meet a client, study for school and enjoy coffee and snacks.

C G.

Yelp
Can this place be any better? Best cup in Washington - hands down. Get the Guatemala pour over. These barista's care about you, they care about your coffee, they care about your consumption. The atmosphere is chic, it's comfortable, it feels like your high-end aunt's living room. There's a reason Food + Wine rated this place the best in Washington.

Chaeji K.

Yelp
Wow i love the vibes and interior of this place! Unfortunately only had two breakfast options, but they tasted pretty good. Both were biscuit sandwiches (meat and veggie option)
