Cambridge Mill Road Butchers

These guys are legendary. They don't just sell the meat. They know how it's meant to be used. They have a knack for flavour. All of their steak is dry-aged and of incredibly high quality. I get all of my sausages, steak and guanciale (pork cheek) solely from this establishment. I'd recommend the fire-cracker sausages. Try their black pudding too. You won't be disappointed.

Very good choice of quality meat. Sausages excellent. But I would buy very much more if the prices weren’t so high!

I went here today to get steak and sausages. The guy who served me was very kind and helpful. He did not make me feel silly as I don’t know much about meat. I am looking forward to my steak and chips tonight.

I love coming to the Mill Road Butchers. I come from the United States so every time I go to my local Sainsbury’s and there is no butcher/deli I’m a little confused/sad haha but every time I’ve gone here the meat as been amazing and worth the extra trip! It’s also feels like a reasonable price which is great! The guys working there have been helpful in answering any questions I have. Would definitely recommend.

Quite expensive, even for Cambridge I felt. 6 Cumberland sausages was £6! I also didn't think the quality justified the price with them lacking flavour. They seemed to mainly have large cuts of red meat I. E. Ribs, steaks. I can't comment on these as I didn't buy any of them. So it might be a good bet for that but wouldn't describe it as a typical butchers, more an artisan butcher. So if you are looking to just shop for your weekly meat you it probably isn't the place to go to. But if you are looking for good quality ribs or steaks it might be. Staff were friendly and answered any questions I had.

Being fairly new to the area, finding a decent butchers was near the top of my list of needs. Mill Road Butchers did not disappoint. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and never fail to make the buying experience a pleasurable one. Some of the best steaks I've ever had, probably based on me always following their recommendations. Have tried several other meats/sausages/fowl but if it's steak you want, there's only one place in town. 100% recommend for the true meat appreciator or someone just looking for high quality, super tasty meats with a few jokes and smiles thrown in for free.

I went in specifically to try the Cheese and Marmite sausages. I appreciated the sales person's honesty that they were (like Marmite itself) not to everyone's taste. However I actually found them quite delicious. They seemed to have a great range of produce, so will definitely be coming back to try more

Solid butchers, bit pricey but some of them are really worth the money, bit less options than it used to be but still great quality of steaks and sausages, very friendly service too
