Google
Deli food at its best! We stopped in for a sandwich on the go and the staff was quick to steer us to a perfectly balanced focaccia!! Like look at that thing! It was delicious as take out but also looked like a nice place to dine in while out on the town.

Google
Outstanding! Every server I saw or interacted with was super friendly and attentive. I sat upstairs so I got table side service. I ordered the Italian sub on a baguette and a black coffee. I didn’t intend to eat the whole thing but I couldn’t help it. It was so good!!! The baguette was very fresh, and the meats and cheese were perfectly stacked and fresh and tasty. The coffee was great!! I really can’t say anything bad because it was all good. Price was reasonable and seating was very comfortable. The interactions I saw between servers and other folks was friendly and helpful. If I lived around here I’d come as often as possible. Photo only has half pictured because I agree the first half within seconds.

Google
If we've learned anything from our extended US East Coast road trip, it's to find the best Deli or equivalent supermarket in your destination, buy your lunch or dinner there, and eat at a beautiful spot of your choice. That's the case here, too. The Camden Deli has everything you desire. The sandwiches are super delicious by the way. Take them to Camden Harbor at sunset and enjoy the entertainment and hustle and bustle. You keep that much longer in your head than a restaurant visit.

Google
Pretty nice place. Right by the water, didn't have to wait very long for the food, and even at a tourist-y place the prices weren't too crazy either. Even bought a huge and delicious brownie for like $5 here. Not too shabby of a spot to stop if you need a quick bite to eat.

Google
The sandwiches are fresh, flavorful, and made with high-quality ingredients. The staff was polite and helpful with questions about the area also. I loved the roast turkey sandwich but they have tons of other things to order. For a special experience, grab your meal and take it down to the harbor to watch the boats come and go. Perfect for a relaxing meal with a view! Local Guide Tip - Bring your camera! The light here is absolutely incredible in the morning and afternoon.

Google
Great location right in Camden downtown, you can enjoy your sandwich by the window with a nice view of the bay. So many sandwich and dessert options, everything looked so good. I ordered the fantastic focaccia and it was absolutely delicious. I also had an iced latte but can’t say I loved it. The only negative point for me was that tables were not wiped down between uses, since it’s an order on the counter situation, the staff doesn’t really pays attention to how clean tables are. I will definitely be back.

Google
Great sandwiches and a proper espresso machine. While they have the typical Monín syrups they make their own special blueberry syrup during the high season. The blueberry latte with homemade blueberry syrup is delicious but not advertised in signage.

Austin B.

Google
Delicious desert. Dining area was a little untidy. Good view of the lake out of the rear windows, save a mud lot.

Yelp
Nice and quick lunch spot. The sandwiches are no different than something you could make at home but I like that personally. My food was good and tasted just as I expected with the ingredients I chose. It is nothing groundbreaking. Like lots of sandwich spots, it is as good as you make it! My order: Sourdough, smoked turkey, tomato, onion, lettuce, cucumber, and avocado.

Yelp
The person who took my order was so rude to an older man waiting for his coffee that I should have walked out then and saved myself 1/2 hour and $20. After waiting 1/2 hour for a bagel and breakfast sandwich we approached them. Their response, in a very rude and snarly tone, was "it's July"! I left without my food. My advice: don't eat at this place in July-the 5 people behind the counter can't handle it!

Yelp
Sandwich shop right on the water in Camden. I got the chicken bacon ranch sandwich and it was very good. It comes with chips. They have lots of seating and a view of the water. It was busy on a Sunday when we got there but they got our order right away and we didn't wait too long. I also got a coffee which was decent. Great lunch spot!
google avatar

Yelp
It was quite busy when we arrived for lunch but they quickly took our order. I chose the Mediterranean Artichoke Melt. It included turkey breast, Munester cheese, fresh basil, artichoke hearts and pesto on a grilled baguette. It comes with chips. It was huge! We could have easily shared one. But it was yummy. The service was fast for the time of day and the seating area was clean and comfortable.

Yelp
Absolutely lovely experience sitting on the rooftop deck right as they opened for breakfast. The breakfast was simple and lovely: oatmeal with fruit and an egg white sandwich. Felt homemade like something I could whip up in my kitchen. The worker was so lovely and opened up the door to the deck right as they opened. Highly recommend taking in the views of the harbor and taking a minute to enjoy the sounds of the rushing water below.

Yelp
The food here is always good. Sometimes it's great, sometimes it's just good, but they've never let me down entirely. Their desserts, however, are ALWAYS DELICIOUS.

Yelp
This charming deli in the beautiful town of Camden exceeded our expectations. We traveled from Florida and were pleasantly surprised by the warm hospitality and the exceptional freshness of the food. The sandwiches and bakery items were delicious, and the scenic views added to the overall experience. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a thoughtfully prepared meal. Highly recommend visiting if you're in the area.

Yelp
Such a good place! Sat down and shortly after our food was ready. We got the gourmet grilled cheese & tomato soup and the surprise sandwich. Both sandwiches came with lays potato chips and my soup came with oyster crackers! Both 10/10 and would get again. They have a menu of hot and cold sandwiches, as well as the option to build your own. They also serve coffee, a handful of desserts, and beer and wine! Service was great, very kind. You can tell the employees are working hard!

Yelp
Delicious! I only wish we had tried Camden Deli earlier--it was truly the best place we ate during our six-day stay in town. The breakfast was fantastic. We had buttermilk and blueberry pancakes with bacon. The bacon was so flavorful, and the pancakes were perfect! For a late afternoon meal, we enjoyed a club sandwich and a Lively Lady sandwich. My husband said it was the best club sandwich he had ever had. The Lively Lady was delicious as well. For dessert, we shared a whoopie pie and blueberry cheesecake. Both were fantastic, but the cheesecake was the standout! You have to try this place.
google avatar

Yelp
We waited over a half hour to be seated in the upstairs deck area. Once we were seated at a table, the wait staff completely ignored us. We finally left without anyone helping us at all.
google avatar

Yelp
A lobster roll on special for $24.95. Plus very nice helpful people there. Very conveniently located on main street.
google avatar

Sharon B.

Yelp
Ordered online today and went to pick it up. Spoke to the woman behind the counter who told me to wait off to the side of the end of the counter. Waited 20 minutes. Then was told my order was outside - had been out there for 20 minutes. I'm here on vacation, so didn't know the system and didn't know anything was outside. Spoke to a manager who couldn't have cared less that nobody helped me find my order. Woman behind the counter was mad at me because I didn't know my order was outside. Camden Deli needs to start treating customers with respect.
google avatar

Deb M.

Yelp
In town to peep the colors. Deli with a nice view. Had the lobster roll and a pasta salad and coleslaw. Great coleslaw, good roll. Pasta salad a little dry. This is an order at the counter and p/u when called, kinda place. You can sit upstairs for full service. Beware, lobster rolls are market price, as usual. Our lunch was $75.
google avatar

Brittany B.

Yelp
The 3 stars is mainly for the staff not the food. The staff had major RBF and just acted and looked like they didn't want to be there. No smiles, or greetings but instead, a blank stare and AirPods in ears when trying to order. No person should feel anxious when ordering food. The food was delicious! We got the monte cristo & the surprise sandwich & lobster roll. All was delicious Go there for the food and views but not the staff.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent food, we love the haddock chowder and we loved all the servers. It has a very quaint outdoor seating area in the back overlooking a babbling brook very nice

Yelp
This place is awesome! We came to Camden to actually visit a brewery on our way through, but we're so disappointed with the service that we left. We walked three doors down and found Camden Deli. The menu is typical deli menu which is delicious with some fantastic salads. What truly sets this place apart is the incredible view from the bar and deck overlooking both the waterfall and the harbor on the second floor. The service was friendly and great. I am so glad we left the brewery and found this place!
google avatar

Yelp
Ordered online to go. Great website for ordering. If you do the same and don't know it your food is put outside on a shelf. Sandwiches were great. Service was good too and as you might expect it's a deli so not much seating.

Dueport D.

Yelp
Always great food - a treasure for Camden! Folks working there are always very nice! They are open year round too and we never miss going many times whenever we're in town!

Yelp
The grandkids wanted to visit the Camden Deli today. We walked in the rain and found good food! Note that the review got a 3 star review entirely based on cost to value. Basic BLT was good - lettuce and tomatoes were fresh, bacon crisp. Turkey Surprise included nice deli turkey, arugula, tomato & bacon. Steak bomb was hot, juicy and pretty good - even lacking a good amount of peppers & onions. One went for grilled cheese on sourdough - proclaimed it a five out of 10 due to the cheese. These sandwiches, along with two bottles of water and a couple of high end organic juices was over $65. Self-service, sat in the dining room, which was clean, but a bit chilly. I get the higher costs. This is a tourist town! And, having a nice lunch that worked for kids from 16-25 is well worth it!

Yelp
Camden Deli has the best brownies I have ever tasted. Ok, I had to get that out first. We stopped here because Camden Deli has a second story deck with about 10 tables looking out over a waterfall and the Camden harbor. This is a great place to sit any time of day, and they have a nice bar for wine, beer, and mixed drinks. Staff are very nice and friendly. Service was professional and fast. The sandwiches were very good with fresh ingredients and the bread was really nice. And then you get your brownie!
google avatar

Toni M.

Yelp
Great lil sandwich shop on the water. We had the steak and cheese and the lobster roll. Both were delicious and were served quickly. This restaurant has two floors of seating and great views of Camden Harbor. The baked goods are also great. We are big fans of the mint chocolate chip brownie. Its a bit pricey at $6 but big enough to share and the quality is worth it.
google avatar

Gina F.

Yelp
Service was friendly and fast. Lots of seating options. Breakfast was a reasonable price and very tasty. Would definitely love to come back and try lunch and dessert!
google avatar

Leslie L.

Yelp
The view alone is 5 stars! But this hard working little deli serves of some delicious food! Not to mention the desserts which are huge! The tuna melt is to-die-for. Not sure where they get their cheeses but some of the best in the country. I saw someone order the lobster roll which I did not realize was a special. It looked very good. In a short visit to Camden we have had breakfast and lunch and been back for afternoon coffee. It's really very good, quick delicious and the service is friendly.
google avatar

Christopher K.

Yelp
Kind of pricey but the food is great! I had roast beef baguettes and I love it. Good selections of sides and treats.
google avatar

Nita M.

Yelp
Three is generous. Christmas eve - I get it however .... rushed thru because they were closing early. Staff looked like they were being held at gunpoint. BLT with no mayo - guess you have to ask. I grew up in the biz. If you're open, be open. Just - unpleasant enough that I'll never go back.
google avatar

Ron R.

Yelp
Nice view from the dining area. It would be nice if they had someone bus tables and empty the trash. I ordered The Pressed Cubano 4/5 and my wife Camden Club 4/5.

Johonna T.

Yelp
Camden deli was the perfect place to grab a quick to go bite to take on an evening sail. I had never tried a lobster roll before and was about to leave Maine, so I needed to find a quick, easy spot to complete my bucket list. The lobster roll from the Camden deli was delicious. It had a light sort of mayo dressing on it and was a good-sized piece of lobster. My boyfriend and I also ordered the Surprise (a sandwich named after the schooner we took a ride on), which was also delicious. They were unfortunately out of their usual sourdough bread, but the pumpernickel was good nonetheless. The coffee was alright. I ordered a pumpkin latte, but I think I was misheard and relieved a pumpkin chai instead. The chai was pretty good but very sweet. My boyfriend ordered the dirty chai, which wasn't too sweet or milky. It was a good balance. I personally wouldn't choose this spot again for coffee, but I would come back for the sandwiches in a heartbeat.

Yelp
Stopped in for lobster rolls on a Saturday in august. They were busy but there were lots of staff behind the counter. This is a deli where you order at the counter and find a table on your own. They have an upstairs deck which I didn't see and we sat downstairs where there were plenty of open tables. The lobster rolls here were substantially cheaper than at other restaurants and were a bit smaller than most. Also the rolls were not toasted. The lobster tasted good, though, and I'd say for the money it was a good roll. However, if you've never had one I suggest going to a seafood restaurant to get one because this roll was not as good as one in a full-service restaurant (where it would cost 1.5-2x more). My only complaint is that the chips were a 0.5 ounce bag, like a first grader would eat in a lunchbox. I would suggest that the owner should charge me another dollar and give me a real bag of chips.
google avatar

Dawn S.

Yelp
Came for breakfast. Terrible service, absolutely terrible. Coffee was not good either. The omelet was ok. I would have liked to have coffee WITH my breakfast. Instead I got it AFTER I was finished. No apologies that they forgot my two drinks with my order. Employees were not friendly or nice. At all. Go next door to Mariners where they treat you right!
google avatar

Chelle T.

Yelp
Dinner to go. We enjoyed our sandwiches but they were a bit messy to eat on a picnic and they did not provide napkins when we picked up our order. Oops! But the food was good.
google avatar

Yelp
My family has been visiting the Camden area for approximately six years now and we always try to stop at the Camden Deli at least once during our stay every year. The Camden Deli has a great selection of sandwiches, wether you like unique sandwiches or you're just a plain Italian sandwich type of person. There is plenty of seating available inside. This year my fiancé and I ordered online to go, which is super easy as staff will simply put your order on a shelf outside so you don't even have to worry about entering the restaurant. We took our sandwiches and went to sit in the park which is right next to the deli. Will continue to visit Camden Deli every year!
google avatar

Doc L.

Yelp
The breakfast sandwich's are great! The atmosphere is clean and well kept and has a view of the harbor! The service was prompt and polite. We really enjoyed dining here.
google avatar

Jill I.

Yelp
This place is one of the best choices for lunch and a great view of the harbor. Great outside seating upstairs, friendly , efficient staff and great food . The portabella mushroom sandwich was delightful. Even in this stressful time for a good business they were efficient and cheerful. Definitely a place to return to
google avatar

Dan K.

Yelp
Great sandwiches. Love the hot horseradish on the Mistress. Grab a table on the upstairs deck where there is waitress service. Otherwise the downstairs is order at the counter type takeout.
google avatar

Abbie w.

Yelp
Everytime I have visited Maine, there has been an effort to stop and visit Camden Deli. We love this place! The food, especially the grilled cheese, is so good for the price. This time we splurged and tried dessert too which was amazing. It's worth the price and the stop for a quick bite. Also there is lots of seating with views of the water. The workers are so kind as well.
google avatar

Carly Z.

Yelp
They'll mess up your order and then blame you lol. The workers are passive aggressive and defensive.

Diane R.

Yelp
What a great spot!! We had breakfast/lunch here and it was terrific! Fresh, clean a great find.
google avatar

Harold M.

Yelp
Nice spot in middle of Camden My only complaint was the way my scrambled eggs were originally cooked- really brown and looked to i code gunk from a well-used griddle. On positive side, they we-made the eggs for me very quickly without complaint. My partners breakfast was really good.
google avatar

Amy S.

Yelp
Great sandwich options and the restaurant has a nice view. It is a small casual joint, but worth it. I enjoy the lobster roll and my kids LOVED their grilled cheese. Service is quick, too!

Chipper J.

Yelp
This is a beautiful location on the ocean with friendly staff. The positives end there. We ordered 2 breakfast burritos, 2 cupcakes and 2 cups of coffee. The burritos were disgusting. They were absolutely soggy with salsa which leave the eggs gooey. The cupcakes were dry and hard. They had little taste. The total was $50 for these items. This place is pretty bad, at least the breakfast is.

Laura A.

Yelp
Great sandwich for lunch. Fabulous pastries. We loved everything we tried and would love to return again to try other things!

Lou S.

Yelp
Good consistent food quality. IMO the portions are a bit small. But good stuff! What really makes Camden Deli is the view of Camden Harbor out the back. Come for the view, you'll stay for the food.
google avatar

Meredith C.

Yelp
Stopped into this deli for a quick lunch and view. You can easily see the harbor in the dining area (there's an upstairs dining area too). I ordered the monte cristo sandwich. It was yummy! The food took a bit to get to us hints then 4/5.
google avatar

Carole S.

Yelp
This place serves stale pastries. It has poor customer service with rude and incompetent staff. I tried to return a stale pastry and was told they could not refund me as nobody knows how to do that. They never even offered to give me something else and I would pay the difference. Reporting them to Health Dept Beware
google avatar

Lori M.

Yelp
I'd like to start by saying we may have caught them at a bad or busier than usual time. I wish I had an opportunity to go again to know & not post this review, but I was traveling & wont be back anytime soon. When we entered the ordering system was very confusing. Rather than work left to right like most long narrow service counter delis, their ordering window was to the right end farthest from the door & then you paid at the window closest to the door, meaning you finish ordering right where new people are walking in & confused about what they flow is. That was awkward & didn't make any sense to us, given the customer traffic jams it created. I odered a gourmet grilled cheese with a fruit cup & chips on the side, as well as a bottled water & a summer ale from a brewery in Portland, ME. It was outrageous & I never fully received an explanation for why it cost $26 (way more than the cost on the board). It also took FOREVER to get our food. They served both with a large juicy pickle on the tray when we asked for no pickle. When we mentioned it at food pick-up, the person giving us our food just shook his head & reached over & pulled it off the tray. I was shocked but hungry & just took the pickle juice soaked sandwiches. The sandwich was good overall & the fruit was fresh, but we were so frustrated with the process of getting it, it wasn't easy to enjoy. We did enjoy the view of the harbor & being a short walk from the water. All in all I was disappointed, but I do hope we caught them on a bad day.

Marlis H.

Yelp
Unfriendly staff and not dog friendly. Pretty good food but need to work on their professionalism/customer service.
google avatar

Holly A.

Yelp
Super slow service (especially if you sit at a table) but WORTH THE WAIT! These sandwiches are so good and easy to customize. We headed to refuel after hiking Mt Battie. Fantastic Focaccia and Monte Cristo are two of my faves. Pro tip- life is short, get one (or four) of the desserts. So many homemade and delicious options!

Michael N.

Yelp
Came in two minutes after 10:30 wouldn't serve us breakfast, went to the bagel place across the street, they were happy to. Your loss.
