The Camden Harbour Inn is easily the best inn I've ever stayed in. It's difficult to know where to start when describing the place. The location is excellent--just a short walk from the town. The inn itself is beautiful. The room was spacious and clean. The food was great. All this is terrific, but what set the Camden Harbour Inn apart was the attention to detail. The breakfast menus were customized with our names on them. The housekeeping staff left personalized notes each morning and at turndown. Everyone had a smile and a kind word. And then there were the little surprises like the teddy bear on the bed when we checked in and the little gift at turndown. And then there was the candy. So much candy! They have a partnership with a local candy shop that stocks the candy lounge--as much candy as you want (and I wanted a lot!)||I could not recommend this place more. Just go.

Staying here really is like coming home. Nothing is out of place, everything you see is ‘just so’ and it has the familiar charm of old world manners. Yet the comparison to a bygone age exists only in the beautiful building exquisitely perched above the harbour amongst the lush planting of costal Maine. |Here the attention to detail is exceptional, from the food to the decor that has a distinctively 21st century European vibe. No velvet drapes here; but the design merely enhances the white clapper boarding and enthuses you with both a feeling of calm and excitement for what lies ahead. Staff really care about the service they provide and go out of their way to look after you. Nothing is too much trouble. It might sound unkind to say the setting is the star, but it is more than matched by the amazing people who have created and maintain this. The personalised in room service is just lovely and we slept so well. Breakfasting on the terrace on a misty morning, dinner in Natalie’s restaurant and excellent cocktails are just a few of the many standout moments. It’s just a shame we had to leave.

My 3 girlfriends and I had a wonderful time at the Camden Harbor Inn. For a 100+ year old hotel much has been done to keep it fresh and updated. One of us had the New Amsterdam suite so we would have a gathering area and a porch to sit on and the other 3 were Harbor View rooms. They were all clean and fresh and the decor has some fun modern touches that really compliment the historic bones of the building. That was all great but the staff was fantastic 10/10. We felt so well taken care of and seen. Everything including restocked minifridges and a candy bar are complimentary so you don't feel like you are being nickled and dimed at every turn. I can't wait to go back with my family.

The hotel as a whole is a fantastic experience. Nevertheless, special atteniotn must be given to Nathalie´s, the restaurant. By far, the best we´ve tried in Maine. The food is great and the service is impecable! Deserves be considered to a one Michelin star. |The accomodations are very confortable and the staff, friendly and higly well prepared to deliver the best experience.

Google
Exemplary is the one word that sums up my recent stay at this elegant, historical inn. Located on a hill overlooking the nearby picturesque harbor and steps away from downtown Camden, Maine…it’s perfect!!||I was greeted warmly by name upon my arrival. My room did not have just one wide screen TV there was a second smaller flat screen in the bathroom so I missed not one second of any program.|The king size bed and fluffy pillows offered the best rest. The care and amenities were out of this world.|All stress simply vanished…||Natalie’s on site restaurant is a special treat, be it for dinner or breakfast. All in all, I could not have made a better choice. This first visit will not be my last visit…!!||Robert

The most amazing breakfast after an evening in a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the harbor. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean and the fridge was filled with water and sodas. Since it was my husband's birthday, the hotel left a glass of prosecco and a beer with chocolate covered strawberries! A nice surprise!

Google
By far, the best place to stay in Midcoast Maine. Plenty of excellent restaurants in the Camden area, including Natalie's, Long Grain and Primo. Great day sails on schooners, such as the Surprise, and plenty of hiking trails a few minutes away. Don't forget to drive to the top of Mt. Battie for the spectacular views.

An absolutely wonderful stay. Service across the board was 5 star. Food for both breakfasts and dinner at Natalie’sahowd the Michelin star to be well deserved. Mike the bartender is a gem and the reception staff and management were above and beyond in making sore we were happy.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our stay at CHI. We found the Inn exceptionally clean, the food was excellent, and the entire staff was friendly, helpful, and professional. We especially appreciated their attention to detail. The location is nicely located with views of the harbor and for walking to just about anywhere in town. The Inn is located about half way between Laite Memorial Beach and the center of Camden. The "Lighthouse Lookout" up the road beyond the beach is tricky to find but well worth the effort. We love the tree lights! We are looking forward to visiting again - thank you CHI team !

Yelp
Folks, this place is AMAZING! The owners Oscar and Raymond have created an absolute jewel. They put so much emphasis on hospitality. The rooms are stunning, the staff is professional, super friendly and helpful. All the attention to detail from the time we checked in to the time we walked out the front door was superior. Our dinner at Natalie's was absolutely amazing. Starting off at the bar with 2 different styles of oysters recommended by our bartender Mike, who was very entertaining and helpful, recommending different activities in the area. Followed by a delicious 5 course dinner. First, our waiter came over with a nice warm cloth to freshen up. What a nice touch, I felt like I was flying 1st class. Great presentation and flavor pairings by chef Jose with the food. We decided to pair our courses with a wine pairing. wines selected by our Somalia Katheryn. She was very passionate and informative about the wine pairing with each course. Sharing with us from what regions each came from and why she paired them with all the different courses. The food portions were perfect size, so we felt satisfied but not stuffed by the time we left the table. Coming back to our room, we were surprised with gourmet chocolates on our pillows with comfy slippers at our bedside. Breakfast was equally as delicious the next morning. Totally, it was a great experience, and we will be back soon?

Yelp
Covid weary, my son and I decided on a road trip to Maine. We found the Inn was running a great opening special. When we arrived, we were greeted in the parking lot by two young men who promptly brought our bags to our room, and would also do a great job serving us breakfast the next morning. Timothy at the desk was a pleasure to talk to. His great sense of humor and care for the guests were evident each time he spoke with everyone. James, Aidan, and Harper in the dining room were a delight. I wish we could get their food and service knowledge everywhere we go. All of the food was excellent with the exception being the lobster bisque. Pricey and small portioned, but delicious flavors, fantastic plate presentation, and creative combinations. The scallops and halibut the standouts, everything was perfectly cooked each time. Each meal also included an amuse bouche which was a wonderful surprise. The area is a small harborside town with plenty of shops to explore, many with a view of the water. Easily in walking distance from the Inn. Leave your car at the Inn and enjoy the close by beach, overlook, and shopping. The room and common areas are everything you would expect from a Relais and Chateaux property. Beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches for the guest. Drinks, coffee, and snacks are included with your room. With the special package we also received two bottles of wine. We did have one incident however that not only spoiled our first day, but also kept me from leaving a 5 star review, which the others here well deserved. We checked in and were delighted to see the white wine already in the fridge. I poured a glass for my son and I and suggested we sit on the beautiful porch. We checked the seats outside, one side of the porch had tables with tablecloths on it, the others near the door did not, so we sat at the first table right at the entrance. We could see the staff were eating so we knew regardless the restaurant was not open. We were outside for about five minutes when the bartender came outside. "Excuse me you can't drink out here." My apologies, I did not realize, we aren't from the area. "Maine liquor law says you cannot drink outside, and you certainly can't bring in your own wine and come out here." I thought to myself maybe he is unaware the wine is from the hotel with our room. Maybe they should make the staff aware of the packages. I said the wine came with the room, could we drink it in the lounge or library room area? He replied, hovering over my son, "you don't drink downstairs unless I served it to you." I felt he was way over the top, and leaning over my son prompted me to say, "okay this was my idea, don't blame him." He tapped his foot and held the door open waiting for us to evacuate. So rude and unprofessional. Menacing over guests is completely unacceptable. Mind you we had only arrived about 15 mins before this happened so we were very concerned we had chosen the wrong hotel. Fifteen minutes in and our day was certainly set off badly. I spoke with Timothy the next day. He was so great to listen and we both thought a card near the wine simply stating "please enjoy the wine in your room" would save another guest from feeling the way we did. As we later left to go shopping, we overheard and saw him following up with the manager on what happened to us. I did say earlier he was fantastic! Later that night we sat in the rocking chairs and enjoyed the view. The manager did see us and come out. He did not apologize for what happened, but asked if we would like a drink while sitting. Wait.....I thought you couldn't drink outside??? Maybe someone could just check the actual laws.

Yelp
Has been hotel- what used to be a beautiful boutique hotel has taken a nose dive- the new chef os a flop who's claim to fame is working at " The French Laundry" for all of 6 months Our hotel accommodations came complete with thin walls which carry sound and noise from the upstairs room followed by non functioning room amenities- all new staff which were less than helpful. BEWARE - this building is not handicap accessible and has steep narrow steps which are not to code- we even saw a staff member trip on them Great place to not be

Yelp
We LOVED CHI! We booked a two night stay and got the gourmet package which included breakfast each morning as well as a schooner sunset cruise (including Prosecco and hors d'oeuvres). It is in a wonderful location - walking distance to the main streets of shopping and restaurants in Camden, as well as to the harbor. The staff is attentive, friendly, and helpful - one of the porters helped carry our bags up to the 3rd floor (no elevator) and down again when we were ready to leave. They offered suggestions as to where to eat and shop as well as things to do. We had complimentary charcuterie plates waiting for us in the rooms when we arrived, and an Illy espresso machine for our use. The hotel itself is charming and elegant - a wonderful mix of colonial architecture and modern decor. 140 years old and yet filled with lush furnishings and fun art. We stayed in the Mauritus suite and our bathroom had insanely cool purple tile, a steam shower, and uber modern tub. The bed was dreamy and comfortable and we loved the Molton Brown toiletries. Each night the staff left us a "love note" and special chocolates, which were delicious. Eating at Natalie's was an experience unto itself - absolutely the finest meal we had in Camden. We would definitely come back to the CHI!

Yelp
Great food, better drinks, and a fantastic atmosphere. The manager, Sven, took care of me accompanied by an amazing server named Zane. I had the smash burger and the Swiss chard pasta made by Joe and it was absolutely incredible. Would give 6 stars if I could!

Brad H.

Yelp
Perfection! If there were a option to give six stars this place would deserve it... Cozy 1800's structure that is simply a magnificent place to stay. The staff is personable and professional to the nth degree. Great views, comfortable rooms, electronically controlled showers, cut flowers everywhere, this is simply the pinnacle of inns. There simply is not much more that could have been done to make our stay more pleasant. As expected, it has a price commensurate with this level of perfection, but you are staying in one of the best 100 in the US. Breakfast at Natalie's is included and is appropriately impressive. I had the lobster eggs Benedict which was superb.

Steve E.

Yelp
We had a four stop Maine trip and Camden was the highlight for us. Just an impossibly beautiful setting and town. Our stay was made by the Inn. Know this--you are staying in a 140+ year building and there is no mistaking this. So if you are looking for the Ritz, this isn't it. HOWEVER.... There is no Ritz in Camden, and this is far and away the best option. The location is quiet, and the inn gets every single detail right. The schooner that is available to guests, the breakfasts and snacks, plus every other service you can name. Erica was fantastic! Would love to go back.

David B.

Yelp
Just spent 2 nights here as part of a bed/breakfast/dinner package. Got there first night and having dined there before, we were eagerly anticipating our dinner at Natalie's. We went big and ordered the 5 course tasting menu and when asked, my wife specified NO SEAFOOD other than shrimp. Second course? Oysters! Third course? Halibut! I happen to love oysters, so she sat through that course with nothing to eat, but the halibut got sent back. Why would you bring that to the table when specifically asked not to 20 minutes ago? That being said, the halibut was flaky and delicious and the shrimp risotto they brought to the table was outstanding. The duck entree was outstanding as well, but bringing 2 courses to the table that we didn't want when you're paying $400 for dinner for two is inexcusable. This was quite unlike our first visit there last year when we had one of the best meals of our lives and everything was beyond perfect! There was new staff there this year who seemed inexperienced in providing the level of service expected at this price point, and that was definitely a part of the reason for this subpar experience. The hostesses/waitress' English wasn't the best and the matridee' was a bit snippy at times during service. Breakfast was excellent. Best eggs benedict and rustic potatoes ever. Blueberry pancakes with fresh blueberries are a good choice as well. There are lots of books and DVDs for your room as well as a wide selection of magazines and newspapers. The rooms and the first floor of this New England Victorian are decorated with red accent pieces from Ikea. Yep. Ikea. So there's classic pieces and modern pieces of different wood in the same room beside each other. The lampshade on the lamp in my room wasn't even attached and when I slid the lamp closer to a chair for a reading light, the shade fell down around my wrist! The desk drawer was stuck on the study and the cable channels did not include CNN or MTV! I mean c'mon! I don't get a chance to watch lots of TV when I'm at home because I'm too busy or my young children are around, but I get a chance to relax (at this price!) and you don't have CNN! You gotta' fix that. Additionally the carpets in the room were worn down and it was quite obvious the difference between the areas in the corners and the more trafficked areas. Same goes for the carpet in the hallways. The lounge has an awesome gas fireplace and is very inviting. I would recommend the lounge even just for drinks! Dinner obviously seems to be hit or miss. For a few hundred bucks less, stay at the Heartstone Inn. The food is just as good, they have an awesome happy hour with $5 drinks where all the guests come down, meet each other, the owners and the chef. Plus it's right in downtown, not mile away.

Alex G.

Yelp
Amazing inn! We stayed in the Surinam Suite, which may be the cutest room ever. It's "Maine Modern" - chic, funky, and perfect for a couple like us(!). Great service, an amazing included breakfast, and a foodie-heaven restaurant on site, Natalie's. This ain't your grandma's B&B; it's a five star destination for people who demand quality. Definitely stay in our suite! Only small issue was noise from the room upstairs - sounded like the guests were moving furniture for hours. I honestly don't know what they were doing. But the place is so gorgeous and cool you'll want to come right back...

Jennifer W.

Yelp
We decided to book at CHI with their Thanksgiving package. We had a group of 3 families but with the maximum of 3 per room we had to rent 4 rooms. We flew into Portland and had about a two hour drive from the airport but there was a snowstorm so it was a bit longer than in good road conditions. Our rooms were very spacious and clean. There are many nice amenities that you don't normally get in a regular hotel. We had complimentary charcuterie plates waiting for us in the rooms when we arrived. The Inn has nightly turn down service with gourmet chocolates and a special hand written note. There is baked goodies, coffee and hot tea available downstairs at all times. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful!! Luann was always ready to chat if we wanted. Sean assisted us with mapping a driving tour of lighthouses that did not disappoint!! The complimentary breakfast in Natalie's is ample and delicious. They give you a different daily smoothie and there is a small buffet also available with yogurt, charcuterie and baked goods. We are already planning to go back in a warmer season and highly recommend Camden Harbor Inn!!

Claire J.

Yelp
Camden Harbour Inn made for one of the best weekends I've had all year. The staff (Bart, Kate, Truman, Eric, Mac, Christine...) are all extremely attentive, gracious, welcoming, calm and seem to truly enjoy working there. At every turn we were greeted with something special. I particularly appreciated how they greeted you in the parking lot and immediately helped with bags without one of us having to walk up the hill to ask for a hand. I'm sure the Inn is beautiful in the warmer months, but winter is especially romantic and cozy with the fireplaces and steam showers... If you want a genuine hotel experience with excellent service, food, amenities and quality, go to CHI.

Mike G.

Yelp
couldn't have picked a better stop for the end of this roadtrip. the Inn was featured in the july issue of travel+leisure and the superlatives are even better in person. stellar accomodations with ocean/harbor views and easy, friendly hospitality extended from front desk to coffee, home made cakes and chocolates available for guests all day. the Inn is dutch-owned which accounts for the chic east-indies colonial accent. breakfast (lobster omelette) is a big treat and dinners at Natalie's, the Inn's restaurant, is fresh from Maine's farms and waters - lobster tempura with avocado, beets-seaweed salad, huge seared scallops in squid ink sauce. enough to do in Camden and filled up the time taking in the sights by bike. sure glad to discover this part of Maine. loved it.

Lance D.

Yelp
Perfect in every respect. Impeccable service and dining. Loved the room and the breakfast was first class. Worth the trip

Lindsay F.

Yelp
Thank you very much to those at the Camden Harbour Inn. What a wonderful experience & night away! If you are looking for top notch hospitality, great atmosphere & a personable staff, then this is the place for you! My husband and I stayed for a night during restaurant week in Maine. Shortly after a delightful check in, we grabbed fresh coffee downstairs and took it to sit out on our deck. The views of the town and bay were beautiful, even in the beginning of March. The area was so peaceful, it's an easy way to relax. We eventually got ready and went down to Natalie's bar for a pre dinner drink and oysters. First sitting out on the couches by the fire place, then moving in to the bar itself. You really run your own schedule here! The staff at Natalie's were all very curious and welcoming. Tom the bartender made a delish Cucumber Martini! We had 8pm reservations for dinner & were seated quickly. Our waitress was very knowledgable and helpful. The three course meal was extremely satisfying. Especially at the restaurant week price! To finish the evening we took our glass of wine from dinner and brought it back to the couch by the fireplace. Perfect way to end our evening. The a La Carte Breakfast was 7:30-9:30am, and what a feast it was! The Lobster Eggs Benedict was amaging! Too many options to choose from between the fresh made pasteries and fine cheeses, fruits, etc. I could go on and on about how great of a time we had at Camden, however it's best if you experience it for yourself. The staff, especially Ellen and JP, make your stay and memories of it, a number one priority. We will definately be back!

Audrey O.

Yelp
Incredible little gem hidden away in Maine. Highly rated (four diamond) hotel, with a price to match its quality. Amazing food with complementary breakfast. Only stayed here one night as we were passing through, but we will be back soon!

A T.

Yelp
Great place to stay DownEast. Great amenities, comfortable room, accomodating staff. We had a great view of the harbor from our bed! DO NOT MISS BREAKFAST!!! Amazing! Still dreaming about the blueberry pancakes...

Michael H.

Yelp
Nicely restored victorian home located a short walk from Main street. Staff was great. Location with views of the harbor is very nice. Loved the Turkish bath robes. Breakfast is hearty and included in the price. We were here in high season (July), so that might be why prices were stiff. The restaurant Natalie's has some problems -- I suggest you eat dinner elsewhere.

Nick M.

Yelp
I can't understand how anyone wouldn't rate this place 5 stars. It is unreal, the staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful and the accommodations were absolutely superb. The breakfast was incredible, eggs benedict were the best I have EVER had. The views are gorgeous if you get a room with a balcony. The staff greeted us by name, left hand written welcome notes and were as helpful as I could ever have dreamed of. I think this place is worth every penny hands down, my girlfriend and I were dying to come back the moment we set foot inside the premises. They did all the renovations superbly and the restaurant could not be a more beautiful setting to eat. We came in March mind you, I can't even dream of how amazing it would be to come here in the summer!

Timothy B.

Yelp
Staying here is always a joy. The staff is geared to anticipating what you want and need....and they deliver. Special shout out to PARE who went out of her way, came in early and prepped the chef to the fact that we were leaving early. Great poached eggs! I haven't mentioned the view, the rooms, the ambience or the in house treats -coming, going and in between! Something to look forward to......

courtney d.

Yelp
There is a staircase here that is impossible to navigate in stilettos. Other than that...every single other thing is perfect. The service, the rooms, the food...the view, even the town. So, skip the stilettos and fall in love.

Anne B.

Yelp
When you drive up to this cozy inn, you would never expect such modern amenities as 5 star resorts in major cities. Camber harbor inn has it all! The staff is warm, welcoming but also professional. The hotel has this beautiful mix of modern with Victorian charm. The rooms are on point with not a detail left out. The fresh flowers throughout the property are spectacular and helped ease the strain of winter white outside. I can only imagine how summer would be staying here. This place is a must stay year around for sure!!!

Julia S.

Yelp
The location and the outside appearance of the inn are lovely. This place has so much potential to be spectacular. However, instead, it is exceedingly pretentious, rundown, and non-handicapped accessible. Starting with receptionist running down steps before you park your car to the the 'mandatory' tour of the rooms, which are decorated in some faux artsy style, definitely not like an inn in Maine should look. Instead of meaningful renovations, like adding an elevator or making the stairs safe (railing less than 2 feet high), they have take the cheap way of changing decor. The common areas, as stated by another reviewer, are cold and uninviting. No really good way to enjoy the wonderful view as the windows throughout are small and the seating does not lend itself to sitting and watching the harbor. Definitely not the luxury experience you would expect for the cost of the rooms. However, Camden is such a beautiful town. The walk around the harbor and downtown is not to miss, a true Maine experience.

Lisa L.

Yelp
Amazing experience and what one would expect from a Relais and Chateaux property and then some! We stayed in the Royal Dutch suite which was just beautiful and incredibly comfortable. Cate and her team are the perfect hosts, accomodating yet not intrustive. Please be sure to make dinner reservations at Natalie's. Our stay overall was just superb and we've already booked for next year.

Julia B.

Yelp
By far the best customer service experience I have ever experienced! From the breakfast to the breath taking views, everything was perfect. Highly recommend!

Grey M.

Yelp
Great location, helpful staff, comfortable room, cutting edge shower and beautiful views. The only thing holding this place back from a fifth star is that it is a bit over-priced. Still, if you're in Maine it's worth a night if only so you can stumble upstairs after a perfect meal at the Inn's five-star restaurant Natalie's.

Jessie R.

Yelp
This Inn is spectacular. The attention to detail is amazing. The rooms are exquisite, the views are beautiful, the service is impeccable and the food is great. The lobster benedict is a great way to start the day and the ice bar is fun as well as delicious. This is by the far the nicest place I've stayed in a long time, possibly ever.

Amanda G.

Yelp
I stayed at the inn for a small convention. It was excellent. My room (Malacca) was very nice. The breakfast and dinners were first class. The location was wonderful. The staff was top notch in accommodating us. I highly recommend this Inn.

Kyle Marie C.

Yelp
Excellent Experience and Amazing European Service. We stayed over New Years weekend and were really impressed. Not only is it a magical place but in addition the restaurant is five stars, very imaginative and absolutely delicious! We have traveled extensively all over the world and this is an amazing spot! Kudos!!!

Randie M.

Yelp
Fabulous place for a destination wedding. Wonderful staff, VERY comfortable rooms, excellent food (especially breakfast), close attention to detail. Perfect location in Camden. Will definitely return and highly recommend for a getaway weekend (or several!)

Kevin G.

Yelp
We spent Christmas eve and day there, everything was excellent, food great, and staff very friendly. We will definitely be going back.

T G.

Yelp
We have stayed at a number of Inn's and the Camden Harbour Inn has become our favorite. The room was small, but so very comfortable. The morning breakfast was perfect. ( It's not your typical all you can eat eggs a bacon buffet, if you want that your out of luck here) The Inn keeper and his wife were wonderful (October 2010) and the Inn is a few minute walk to downtown. We also booked a spa service from them, they have a nice small room located in the rear of the Inn to accomadate these services, just be sure to book in advance. We plan on returning every year! Best of service all around.

Eric N.

Yelp
This place is great. Went here with my girlfriend for our anniversary. The inn is a classic New England Inn with a modern twist. Very elegant and refined. Great place for a couple to relax and get away from the city. The restaurant is great and the staff is very attentive. A+++ One drawback is that it isn't really ON the water and it doesn't have a pool, but that's really a very picky point. You're less than 5 minutes walk to the center of Camden and awesome beaches are all close. I recommend Birch Point Beach State Park and the Owl's Head Lighthouse overlooking Penobscot, ME.

Jon E.

Yelp
Five bright, glowing stars. Probably the best-run, most comfortable, most interestingly designed inn we've ever stayed at. Somehow, the owners have introduced European design into an old Maine inn and not ruined its ambiance. It feels fresh and sophisticated but somehow still warm. Tyler at the front desk was friendly, funny and attentive, upgrading our room and guiding us toward fun things to see and do in town. Natalie's served one of the best meals we've eaten this year, five star cuisine that was formal yet not stuffy. A 10 min walk into the center of town and a nice view of the harbor. We will absolutely go back next year. Highly, highly recommended.

Tom O.

Yelp
This is a great hotel in a beautiful town. The staff is incredibly friendly, the food is sublime and the rooms are all unique and fun. We had Lobster Benedict for breakfast, which as included in our room, and it was delicious. My wife and I can't wait to get back to the Inn.

Bobbi R.

Yelp
Fantastic, fabulous, stylish, modern, and private. What a unique experience. We've stayed at B&B's before so had a certain expectation upon our arrival to Camden Harbour Inn. However, our stay was anything but typical. The attention to detail is evident from very small details such as high end bath products to larger details such as ultra soft bedding and upgraded bathrooms. Our stay was luxurious, comfortable and peaceful. The team was friendly and accommodating and we especially enjoyed our chats with Tyler. The food from Natalie's was divine. We also greatly enjoyed the private dining experience with the option to say hello to fellow guests but with no expectation to engage at length. It felt like we were at a stylish yet small boutique hotel with a very personal focus. The only thing I would change is the length or our stay to two nights!!

Yelp
This place was amazing! I would stay there again in a heartbeat. The staff was very helpful and friendly. My husband and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary there and felt like royalty the way we were treated! We were there for three nights and in that short time, all the staff was addressing us by name. They would ask how our day was, etc. The only "complaint" I would have would be for the private porch with the New Amsterdam suite. We had a few people come up and use it (right in front of our bedroom window) because it was not roped off, or designated as a private area. If anyone is considering.... STAY THERE!!!! You will have a fantastic time. Oh... and get the turndown service! Wonderful!

Yelp
We stayed here over New Year's weekend and loved it. The Sumatra room is tucked in a corner, has a balcony and a wonderful view, made even more elegant with refinments such as a wall-mounted flat screen, an ample supply of Molton Brown soaps, turn down service with pillow chocolates, nice color touches and personal notes from the staff. In keeping with an historic property, there are creaky floors and steep staircases, but this adds to the charm. The sitting room on the first floor has a selection of CDs and DVDs, comfy couches and a massive fireplace beautifully outfitted with river stones and a cozy propane fire. The best part of the place however is the friendly and accomodating staff. We look forward to a return visit.

Yelp
My stay at this hotel was a disaster. The stairs are narrow and steep, made even less easy to traverse by coating in thick padded carpet. (there are no elevators ) Price is not matched by value and the management/ownership are not interested in addressing legitimate complaints or criticisms. We were offered a package including dinner and then told that we could not use this option without having our guests conform with the same dinner option. After paying at the higher rate I took up this with the management and was told that it was too bad I was misinformed. On a more general note, do not reserve here if you are looking for an authentic "Maine" experience or the level of amenities and comfort associated with fine inns or hotels. The decor is garish and out of place in a historic coastal Maine inn, and the rooms and common areas are uncomfortable and cold. I would not recommend this as a "splurge" vacation spot to anyone but I can see how some who pay the fare feel compelled to try to find some silver lining (hence the more glowing reviews) I would also not recommend it to the more seasoned traveler who is accustomed to high quality amenities and respectful, honest service. I can only surmise that either the service has declined since the travel reviewers stayed here or that the hospitality they describe was qualified by what they had to offer in return.

Yelp
Attention to detail and unbelievable service. We booked a two night package including a 5 course tasting dinner at Natalie's. The room was beautifully designed with an amazingly comfortable bed and my favorite Molton Brown amenities in the bathroom. The views are the best and only for the views you should stay at Camden Harbor Inn!. Breakfast was delicious and with lots of a la carte choices all included. I usually stay at the Four Seasons and would easily pay up to $35 per person for a less good breakfast. Dinner at Natalie's is a culinary dream. Also here the staff is unbelievable attentive and well trained. The hostess from Thailand was welcoming and went out of her way to make sure we had a good time. Our server was there when you needed him and was always a step ahead. The restaurant manager is also a sommelier and his wine knowledge unique. He did an excellent pairing and gave us a lot of background information on the selections. The food is just sublime, it was a surprise menu, although they did ask us if we had any dislikes or allergies. I am allergic for shell fish so the local oysters were replaced by a beautiful house made pate. We highly recommend Camden Harbour Inn and Natalie's and will be back soon!

Yelp
The Camden Harbour Inn is undergoing some renovations prior to the start of the summer, but our stay was pleasant despite some minor disruptions. The staff's commitment to quality and customer satisfaction is unparalleled and more than made up for any inconveniences. My husband and I enjoyed two wonderful breakfasts - he is still raving about the eggs Benedict with lobster, and a fabulous dinner at Natalie's restaurant. Guests of the Inn are treated like royalty by every member of the staff, the rooms are decorated impeccably, and the food was some of the best we've ever eaten. Please be advised that there is no elevator and some rooms are on the third floor. My request for a second floor room was honored (husband had two knee operations), and we were happy with our stay.

Yelp
Wonderful European style Inn with gorgeous views of Camden Harbor. An 1800s' building with a very modern decor that they somehow manage to pull off. Color scheme is reds with grey/silver and white. I think it would so much better in Prussian Blue but its a matter of the owner's taste so who am I to judge?. Went for a night's stay and dinner with a difficult situation; my mom is dying of cancer and wanted to see Camden one last time. The staff could not have been more caring and welcoming and treated her so well. She was unable to eat much(which didn't affect me of course), but enjoyed her last trip to the area as much as possible. The accomodations were understated elegance, Natalie's cuisine was top notch as was the service and atmosphere. My first taste of Pemiquid oysters which were good, similar to Dennis' Quivet Necks. Prices are high but considering the presentation, elegance and service quality, commesurate and worthy. Highly reccommend for a couple's romantic get away if cost is not an object. The lobster eggs bennie were outstanding as was all the cuisine. Small, Euro portions but many of them so you won't be hungry.

Yelp
Great location, very romantic, friendly staff, excellent breakfast, pretty rooms - a must see during the holiday season! We ended up getting a free upgrade to the Royal Dutch Suite and will definitely book it in the future! It was incredible!
