I came across Camellas-Lloret on Instagram about 2 years ago and had been dreaming of waking up there ever since. This winter my Love and I booked in for a weekend and to say it was the dreamiest weekend we've had in a cold, snowy December is an understatement. I was a little apprehensive as one would usually think of the South of France in the height of summer but do not rule out Winter, it’s just as wonderful in a different way. ||||Arriving in Montreal late in the evening we were met with a beautiful snow-fall and even more beautiful was the welcome of Annie and Colin at Camellas-Lloret. Stepping inside their home is akin to that of what you might heaven to be like. ||||Annie and Colin, the coolest couple were such incredibly kind, warm and welcoming hosts. They feel like life-long friends b=from the beginning. They live in the house too which brings an extra sense of love to the place and every single request, question or wonder we had was met with such genuine considerateness. Each morning Colin offers a suggested plan for the day if you wish to explore the area and the chats over breakfast are to be treasured with both of them.||||I'm a huge lover of interiors and step-by-step I was blown away - it's romantic and warm, calming and breathtakingly stunning - leaving you to wish, within the first 5 minutes that you'd only booked for longer. The house itself is a love project of Annie’s who is herself a renowned interior designer and you can tell, each room, down to every last detail has been lovingly thought about yet done with the utmost of ease. ||||The included breakfast is DIVINE each morning. Annie bakes something delightful to accompany the healthy French style meal and the best coffee we had all weekend. We ate out for lunches and by dinner time we were thrilled to head back and have a light snack which Annie and Colin kindly let us use the kitchen to prepare. Warming up with a glass of white wine and a book or magazine by the open fire and we were the happiest couple on the planet. ||||The area is easily explored but you definitely need a car and after that there is literally nothing I can say about Camellas-Lloret that doesn’t touch on being absolutely the dreamiest weekend we’ve ever had.We canNOT wait to return.
