Google
The service was above reproach our waiter Chris was marvelous. The food was good, but the ice cream was the best I ever had.

Google
We went there yesterday and ordered their Thanksgiving dinner because it was Thanksgiving lol. The Turkey was super moist and tender that my Picky eater Daughter thought it was Ham. We really enjoy the Turkey and Gravy and the butter squash bisque was Delicious. The Atmosphere was very nice. Definitely coming back.

Google
Everything was delicious, the chop was moist and perfectly cooked. Definitely order the corn, you will love it!

Jacob Scheatzle

Google
The steak is always cooked perfectly to order, the cuts are always great, the sides and desserts are fantastic, and the service couldn't be any better. As an added bonus, you can also order from Mitchell's seafood menu as they are next door. If you like broiled steak, this is the place to be. And now since they are owned by Landrys (which lets be honest, 50% of fine dining now is) you can use your Landry points.

Google
I love steak. I've eaten a lot of steak. This was the best steak I've ever had. The ambience was very cozy and romantic, which was perfect for date night. The service was very professional and very attentive without being overbearing like some restaurants. The creme brulee was very good as well. The prices are very good for what quality they are offering. Highly recommended.

Google
Our experience here was 'fine'. We ordered the filet mignon dinner with oysters. The waiter recommended a nice wine pairing for the oysters, the oysters themselves were good. Bread before dinner was warm but had an odd taste. The salads included with the dinner were good, nice flavor. Our filet mignon tasted ok, it looked like a perfect medium rare but the meat around where it was seared had more of a sirloin consistency. I did not like the buttered broccoli, it tasted sweet. The mashed potatoes were like someone would cook at home. The creme brulee was good enough but cold not room temperature. Overall a mediocre dinner, but i typically expect more when I'm paying 200+ for dinner.

Google
The food and the atmosphere was PHENOMENAL! A bit pricey but, I managed. I will DEFINITELY go there again! Loved it

Amazing food and great service! Expect to spend some money coming here!

Yelp
The wagyu carpaccio is our favorite by a landslide. Bourbon aged steak is excellent. Also, recommend the double chop salad.

Yelp
Hyde Park is quite established, with multiple locations across the country. However, this is my first time trying it, and we had a very satisfactory experience. The ambiance was excellent. It would be a perfect place for a date night, a small celebration, or even a work meeting. However, given the more quiet nature of the establishment, it may not be a first option for having dinner with young kids. Regardless, the service was excellent. They checked on us at the right pace, and the food came at the right time. Plus, the staff gave good recommendations and explained the menu well. We tried Steak Yzerman, a 40 oz Tomahawk (bone counted), and a feature of the day, a 26 oz Bourbon-marinated 41-day dry-aged steak. For sides, we got the roasted brussel sprouts cooked with bacon marmalade. The steak came out medium rare, as requested. One thing I have to note is that the sear on the steak was excellent. It has such a nice crust! To me, the steak is already well seasoned, but others prefer a little bit more salt and pepper. In addition, the meat is very slightly less tender than expected. It's still delicious, though! They have fried onion on the side. The Brussels sprouts were very well cooked, and the bacon marmalade was so indulgent. It didn't make a healthy side, but it sure was scrumptious. On a side note, their bread basket was excellent! I love the soft, warm pretzel sticks and the ciabatta. Overall, the food tasted great. It was a lot of food, and we had no room for dessert by the night's end. The price is reasonable for a steakhouse.

Yelp
I've never been disappointed in a Hyde park experience, and this location was no different. Greeted at the door and promptly seated. The hard wood walls and decorations make it a clear upscale dining option. The waitress was very nice and helpful, and paced the dinner perfectly. The bone in ribeye makes me question my previous filet selections. Cooked perfect and excellent sides of potatoes and Brussels sprouts. It's a must for anyone looking for some fine dining.

Yelp
What a gem in downtown Birmigham! This place is always great as a date night and delivers a consistent food and service (I've been here several times). Hyde Park Wedge Salad- The smoked bacon and candied pecans give this a nice crunch. It's a typical wedge salad otherwise. You can order the dressing on the side as a protip if you want to control how much you want on the salad. Ribeye Steak- The crust on this was incredible. It was well seasoned and didn't require anything else. The cut itself is a fattier cut, but my portion had a good balance of meat to fat. The onion straws were nice as well. Sauteed asparagus- The olive oil wasn't particularly high quality (it didn't have the grassy, peppery flavor of good quality olive oil) but the parmesan saved it because, hey, who doesn't like cheese?! Potatoes gratin gruyere- Very rich and heavy. I couldn't really eat much of this because it was just so unctious. They were good the next day as leftovers! Salted caramel cheesecake- Just a normal cheesecake, nothing special about it, although I was already so full that I couldn't eat more than a bite or two.

Yelp
Shrinkflation: stuffed the entire fry container with tissue looking like it's more full. Service was terrible- everyone was extremely slow. Whenever we got up to go looking for our waitress, they were all behind the bar chatting it up amongst themselves. Automatic service charge of 20% was included, wonder why they didn't care to try hard or give us a good experience. I'll take my business to Capital Grille every time for a steakhouse.

Cristina P.

Yelp
Hyde Park Prime was great! The ambiance, bar, service, and food were all top notch. Also to be expected from a steakhouse, but did not disappoint. The seafood platter was delicious and filled with lobster, shrimp and crab. It usually has oysters but they were out so they added more of everything else. But for the apps, my favorite was the bacon. The glaze on top was so good and the bacon melted in your mouth. The steak was also tasty and cooked very well. For dessert, the red velvet cake on its own was okay but what made it great was the chocolate sauce served with it. I could just eat the chocolate sauce. The service was great! Our waiter was very attentive and explained everything on the menu. He also gave us background on items on the menu too. Obviously going to a steakhouse is expensive, so know that going in.. but it was all delicious!

Dee W.

Yelp
Hyde Park definitely exceeded my expectations when I went there expecting a wonderful night out. The ambiance was amazing, the lobster and steak were seasoned to perfection and both were mouth watering to say the least. The garlic whipped mashed potatoes were outstanding! The only item that I didn't care for was the Waygu Beef Carpaccio unfortunately the sauce had a strong horseradish taste and it was pretty overpowering not a fan. But everything else did the body good. Definitely a must try!

Holly H.

Yelp
Worst food in all of Birmingham. The happy hour dishes were terrible. 2 of them were not edible and stayed untouched. Service was fine, but will never return.

Samantha M.

Yelp
Look at this gorgeous seafood platter. Stone crab, shrimp, lobster & oysters. It was amazing!!!! We also loved the ribeye, calamari & beef carpaccio & cheesy potatoes! Hyde Park always has solid food & service. Great place for a date night. Located in Birmingham & Northville. Make reservations.

Yelp
Food was terrible Service was slow So not worth the money I highly recommend choosing a different steakhouse

Yelp
I came here on Saturday night to celebrate my birthday. The restaurant was accommodating and let us push our reservation a half an hour without issue. The place was packed at 8:30pm. We had a great meal and our server was very attentive. My only complaint is that our steaks took a super long time to come out. We were waiting a very long time after our lobster app, bread basket and Caesar salad for our entrees. The waiter realized and said he was sorry but didn't do anything to speed it up. By this time, the restaurant had emptied out. When the steaks came out, that we had waited so long for, they weren't even hot. Almost like they had been done for a while. Also, I had a free dessert for my birthday and I told the waiter. He brought the dessert menu and I picked a dessert out. He failed to tell me that the desserts on the menu are not complimentary, that it is a separate dessert that was free. So we ended up with 2 different desserts, which I wouldn't have done if I knew the ones on the menu didn't count. Heads up. Despite all of this, the vibes are right here.

Cary L.

Yelp
The service was abysmal. Food was not even close to a good steakhouse. Gave it a second chance after our first terrible dinner experience.

DeMario M.

Yelp
This is hands down one of the best Steakhouses in Detroit area. The food is amazing. Had the bone-in steak with Millionaire's potatoes and brussel sprouts. Everything was delicious. I wish I didn't eat lunch that day so I could've ate all the food here. Portion sizes are huge. Service is on point. Definitely a date night vibe.

Jacqueline M.

Yelp
Hyde Park was everything I expected in a steakhouse and more. The decor is old school elegance. Excellent steak choices for my husband and great seafood choices for me. Everything we had was exquisite. The appetizers were very tasty and large portions sizes. We had the bacon and shrimp cocktail which were both delicious. My husband enjoyed a perfectly cooked steak and I had a delicious crab cake. And dessert was heavenly. Our waitress was very attentive. My water glass was never less than half full. All of our food came out right on time. It was a great dining experience.

Brittany H.

Yelp
Do not sit at a bar table with four people. We were so uncomfortable. I can't believe my reservation allowed them to seat us there. For almost 500$ for 4 people- we wished our table was a little bigger. The food is amazing and comes out fast. Our waitress took a long time to get us our drinks. Our appetizers had been delivered and eaten by the time our drinks came. Our waitress continually said "oh wow I can't believe I forgot about that" or "I'll be right back" so that was also a little frustrating. The food saved my feelings about this place.

Lavender Princess G.

Yelp
This is one of our favorite places to eat and treat house guests to when we're in the mood for some good ribeye or seafood! Service is excellent and the quality of the food and overall experience is commensurate to the menu prices- definitely not budget friendly, but fabulous when you want to go all out and have a great night with friends/family!

Brenda M.

Yelp
I have been to Hyde Park in the past for drinks or appetizers and love the ambiance and we had really good service. For a special dinner, I took my sons to Hyde Park and spent over $500. The service and the food were beyond less than acceptable considering the prices they charge. I realized this was just a bad night and moved on. I was so surprised when the manager called the next day and asked about my meal. I hadn't planned on complaining but I let the manager know my disappointment. They said they would leave me a gift card the next time I was there. Between Covid and life, I didn't make it back for a while. I completely forgot. Let's face it, the majority of us can't dine at this place on a regular basis. I did end up going back and there was nothing there in my name. I asked the Manager(who was new) and he said he would look into it and get back to me. I have heard nothing. His name is Calvin if he would like to correct this. I won't be back. As a single parent, it is rare to almost never an occurrence that I would take three people to such an elegant and costly place.

Richard W.

Yelp
I had a very positive experience on a crowded night because the staff went out of their way to rearrange seating with what appeared to be smaller end tables near one of the couches. Hyde Park, in the middle of high end Birmingham, is a throwback with its old-fashioned steak house decor, plush furniture and decorative, low-level lighting. Even the menu is extra large and heavy with fancy fonts - can't go wrong with fancy fonts. They certainly know what they're doing when it comes to setting the right tone... Caesar Salad - with chopped anchovies - yummmm! Dressing a little over done, as I remember it. Cabrera Ribeye - 22 oz., bone-in, heavily marbled, maybe too much? A steak for one of our dining companians was overdone and we had to send it back, but servers very accommodating and quick to recover. The steak was not the best I've had, but solid effort. Potatoes Gruyere Gratin - Love au gratin, and they know how to stack the levels really high - super yummy and super filling. I just love how the edges are slightly burnt. Sauteed Spinach and Mushrooms - a great accompaniment to steak and slightly removes the guilt of not eating anything healthy. Warm Butter Cake with Bananas Foster - exciting flambe right at your table, you get your money's worth! The sliced bananas are soaking in a shallow pool of caramel sugar sauce. What a brilliant way to end the meal. That's all...

Lisa K.

Yelp
Dined at Hyde last night and will be the last time. Service was lacking. Our waitress left dishes and glasses on the table and didn't go to move them unless we asked. Food came out slow and was not good. For the money we will go down the street in any direction and get much better food and service. The fact that they charge 2.00 for zip sauce is ridiculous.

Al W.

Yelp
Ambiance is perfect for a date night or evening out! The service was excellent. Food was great. Extensive wine list.

Rita G.

Yelp
I was not impressed. My burger was mediocre at best. I asked for a medium burger but received a well done one instead. Just ok, nothing special here. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very friendly and accommodating. However I can probably get similar quality at Red Robin..

Paul T.

Yelp
If this steakhouse is not a 5, not sure what can be! Honestly! Business dinner here tonight with colleagues, and from greeting, seating, service and food, all was close to perfection. Bravo! We shared appetizers - carpaccio (my fav), shrimp cocktail, lobster tall cocktail, and onesterà on the shell, all good. The meat specula of the night was a bone-in ribeye, marinated for 40 days and soaked in bourbon for 5 (if I remember correctly). At only $59 and considering the establishment reputation, it was excellent. We shared a lot of side dishes - Sautéed Asparagus, E.V.O.O., parmesan 13, Sautéed Spinach & Mushrooms 13, Sautéed Mushrooms 13 Sautéed Spinach & Garlic 13, Roasted Brussels Sprouts, bacon marmalade 14, Lobster Mac & Cheese 23, Potatoes Gruyère Gratin 13, Roasted Garlic Whipped Potatoes 12, French Fries 10. OMG! Finished the evening with a delicious Colossal Carrot Cake Spice Cake with Raisins, Nuts, Pineapple, and Cream Cheese Frosting, Caramel Sauce ($16.5) that we shared amongst 3 people. An excellent evening, cannot wait to be back! Love Birmingham!

Yelp
I like visiting Hyde park. The reason I give it 4/5 stars is because they serve room temp Coke over ice. I know I know.. who cares but come on now. It's flat and it taste like $&:( every-time. Unless... Christian is your server. First, I'll say I do really like the food. I start off with a Caesar salad that I think is amazing and I end with chicken milanese. Lemony and good! Sadly, (crying) I end with chicken milanese, because their dessert is extremely lacking. I really do love dessert. I pick Hyde Park over other restaurants in Birmingham because of how much Christian takes care of my friends and I. Every time I go and I don't have Christian as a server my coke taste like $&)), this is a big deal to me because I am not a drinker so it's really all I have ‍. Christian is smart enough to know that nobody likes that and he puts some Coke cans in ice to get really cold before he serves it. Christian can also tell when his table doesn't really like the dessert... he can see it on their faces and I think that's great because he doesn't make you say that it's gross he can see it and takes it away and brings you something just a little bit better but not great because really, they need a pastry chef.

Alexis R.

Yelp
Went there for first time last night. highly exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great place for date night or a great steak. I had the 40oz Tomahawk and was cooked perfectly. The smoked old fashioned was made perfectly and tasted delicious. and the flaming butter cake is a must get. Our waiter Darren was amazing very nice. Dinning room manage Branden could be seen walking around, helping to deliver food and drinks, and came to stop by our table to thank us for coming in and that he was available if we had any issues. The host was very nice and friendly as well. Definitely will be back!

Melanie D.

Yelp
Great service. Typical old-school steakhouse menu that sticks to the essentials and doesn't try to overdo it with options. Thought the staff was really doing an excellent job of making sure that everyone was well looked after. Only complaint was that my steak seemed under seasoned. Could be my salty palate.

Fariha I.

Yelp
I went for my 22nd birthday, it was definitely a memorable experience and the restaurant was absolutely stunning especially the velvet blue circular booth that we had. However, I had about 8 friends who wanted to come total and the restaurant could only accommodate for 6 but the circular booth we had was more than big enough to fit the total 9 of us so I feel like that could have been worked out. Besides that, the night was overall great and the food tasted great and the staff were all really friendly.

Samantha B.

Yelp
The service was horrific the food was mediocre. I will never come here on a business dinner with my artist again it was embarrassing.

Justin C.

Yelp
Hyde Park Birmingham was the worst restaurant I have been to in my life! From the valet, host, and waiters to getting food poisoning from scallops last night! our service and food were the worst I have ever and I mean ever experienced! Valet to hosts to waiters were rude and the food made us all sick! Disgusting experience and will never return!

Danny M.

Yelp
Awesome restaurant for any special occasion. The service was beyond reproach and the food was amazing. I had a new your strip that was cooked perfect. The meat was tender and juicy and the ambiance was that of a high end restaurant. You have to try this place for your next anniversary or birthday.

Amy B.

Yelp
The ambiance alone is worth going to dinner here. The Shrimp cocktail was amazing, very fresh and very large shrimp. Steaks were impeccable and cooked exactly as ordered. PERFECTION!

Mariah M.

Yelp
This meal was really Good! We enjoyed a nice romantic night as a happy couple. The food was good and so were the drinks!

Anthony A.

Yelp
Service was good, not great. Food was lacking flavor. At these prices, you'd think quality and service would be exceptional, it was not. Will not be returning.

John V.

Yelp
Did we just get Punk'd Had dinner Saturday night with another couple , 6pm reservation , seated promptly. Unfortunately that was the last of any semblance of service. This turned out to be a 3 hour dinner , no appetizers nor deserts were even ordered. Smiles and cheerfulness was non existent. As for promptness - Tables all around us were in and out , drinks topped off and food out , while we waited and waited and waited , every step of the evening. Couldn't get drinks correct. The food itself was spot on , steaks delicious and cooked perfectly. The sea bass was excellent. The corn panchetta was exceptional. But overall was hard to enjoy given the lack of service. There are great steakhouse experiences near by, and they provide exceptional service. I would go so far to say that exceptional service can take an ok meal and make it great , unfortunately it also works in reverse. It is a beautiful restaurant. But We won't return , plain and simple. Those of you who chose to dine - good luck and hope your experience is better than ours.

Rich M.

Yelp
The service was terrible, I have never been to a restaurant where they don't clear the table before your next portions and then just stand there waiting for you to move stuff around so they can set it down. After dropping our dinner they still wouldn't take the dirty plates. Attempted 3 times over the 3 hours we were there to get a simple sidecar and they seemed to be lost on how to make one correctly. The food on the other hand was amazing, but not worth waiting over 2 hour from the time we ordered until it started to arrive.

Kendall E.

Yelp
Came here on a Wednesday night. Fairly busy. Our server Dominic was excellent. Ordered caeser and wedge salads for apps. Both were good but the croutons on the Caesar are worth noting. They come out warm and super buttery. We also got the shrimp cocktail which comes with dry ice making it pleasing to the eye. For entrees we got the steak sanders and filet mignon with a side of fries. I got the feeling that the filet used in the steak sanders wasn't the same as the actual filet mignon we ordered. But it was still tasty. The fries were ok, nothing special and wouldn't get again. The butter cake was the best part of the meal. Flambéed tableside! Super moist cake and delicious ice cream. We only ate a couple bites of the filet mignon (over 50$ for the petite), so we asked them to pack it up, and they did not put in the to go bag.

Chad C.

Yelp
Wow, I have to say this place is pretty amazing. A vendor wanted to take the principal and me out to dinner and enjoy a good steakhouse. I asked a coworker, and he suggested this place. I have to admit that I was bitching pretty hard because downtown Birmingham has a lot of construction going on, and parking is scarce. Not their fault. But I was pretty irritated by the time I got into the restaurant. Again nothing to do with them. I have to say that their waitstaff is top-notch, and they go above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience. I wish I had taken down our waiter's name because he was pretty awesome, and he also told us about how the Moscow mule came about. So we ordered an appetizer of the shrimp cocktail, actually two of them. I have to say I have never seen shrimp that big look at the picks I uploaded. They were huge. We all ordered the filet, and then we got sharable sides Au gratin potatoes, asparagus, and something else. I have to say the Au gratin potatoes were fantastic. We got a dessert that was a pretty fantastic look at my picks. Sorry, I don't recall the name, but wow, it was delicious. This place is fantastic.

Sarah B.

Yelp
Food was amazing, steaks were tender and cooked just perfect, potatoes melted in your mouth with flavor and the corn was wonderful. service was fabulous, and the ambiance alone makes this place perfect for a romantic dinner!

Delbert W.

Yelp
In the heart of swanky Birmingham. Patrons are dressed to impress. The day we came restaurant was understaffed and over booked. But we were still seated and given warning up front things might run a little slower than normal. Our waiter did his best to keep up and provide great service. Given the situation he did well. Had the rib-eye bone in. Was decent. Asparagus, mashed potatoes, and creamed spinach as sides. Mashed potatoes were not amazing. Creamed spinach was great.

josh m.

Yelp
Matt served us tonight and I had the pleasure of meeting Dominick as well, super friendly staff and delicious food every time!! Dominick takes Quality control to a new level, Matt couldn't have left a more favorable impression . Many thanks !

Marsci A.

Yelp
Service was great. Steak was mediocre nothing special and a bit tough. We ordered it medium and it came well done. The crab cake was dry, but the augratin potatoes weee fabulous! Old fashion was a little sweet.

Alaina C.

Yelp
It's a 4/5 for me. Good food, good service, missing that wow factor. That being said, the competition is stiff when it comes to steakhouses in this area. Not to say I'd never go back, there are just others I'd like to experience before that. What I did notice that I think is great and worth mentioning - management was present the whole time, walking the floor, checking on tables and checking in with the servers. Clearly they care, which is hard to find and nice to witness.

Tiffany H.

Yelp
As far as chain steakhouses go (on the to-go bag they list all the locations+sister restaurants they have throughout MI/OH), Hyde Park is true to the two star description of "Meh. I've Experienced Better." We came as a large group for Restaurant Week & our server, Nick, was FANTASTIC. But, the great service didn't make up for the mediocre food. I had/tried: *Jumbo Lump Crab Cake (Red pepper aioli, spicy mustard sauce) - 1 big crab cake! The sauces were good. Thought there was a bit too much celery flavor/seasoning. *Tomato Bisque: I drank it all, but it leaned a bit salty & I've had better. *Filet Mignon: In case you're sensitive to gluten -- apparently their proprietary seasoning blend has trace gluten (maybe soy sauce??) But anyways, I just wasn't impressed. Felt a bit overcooked for medium rare. I made my own filet earlier in the week that I felt was much better. Yikes. *Spinach/Garlic: A bit oily. Very garlicky though. Mm! *Cheesecake: I'm not fussy when it comes to cheesecake. Texture was right & it tasted like a cheesecake. *Flourless Torte: This baby is like a hunk of fudge! It's VERY rich. As far as value goes, the restaurant week menu does deliver on that because if you ordered the same filet mignon on the menu, it would cost the same as the 3-course r-week menu.

Liz P.

Yelp
4 years later so it's time to update this review! The food is still fabulous here. I went with a group of 9 Yelpers tonight for Birmingham Restaurant Week. They haven't changed the menu much in the past four years, so I decided to switch it up and order a different appetizer and dessert. Their bread basket here is also still fabulous - besides your normal rolls, they also had soft pretzels sticks and some sort of "everything bagel" type of cracker. For my first course, I had the wedge salad, but I don't like blue cheese dressing, so our waiter, Nick, suggested a few others; I ended up with a parmesan pepper dressing. I did ask for it on the side and it didn't show up like that, but that was minor. I had the 6 oz. filet for my steak, and although it's not the best steak I've ever had, it was very tasty and tender. It came with fried onion strings, which were also good, and mashed potatoes, which was the only "meh" part of the meal; they were nothing special. For dessert, I chose the cheesecake, since last time I had the flourless chocolate cake which was a bit too rich for me. The cheesecake comes topped with a Luxardo cherry and was very good. Our waiter was hilarious, too, and cracking jokes the whole night, and our water glasses were never left empty. We also were seated in a side room near the restrooms, and I loved that we had our own private space; it was a little quieter than the main restaurant, too. Overall, 5/5 stars for Hyde Park, and looking forward to stopping by another time, probably for BRW since the prices are a bit out of my price range normally; the BRW menu was $39, which for a 3-course dinner in Birmingham is very reasonable.

John L.

Yelp
Hyde Park is back! I know it wasn't gone but it was kind of in a Covid-induced coma for a while. But now it is back and great as ever. We had the Cabrera bone-in Ribeye and the special Filet Oscar style with Lobster, mushrooms, asparagus and bernaise. Both were just flat out excellent. We also ordered sides--spinach with mushrooms that was great and potatoes au gratin that were SPECTACULAR. When you go--you must get these. Service by Melissa was very friendly, professional and efficient. Flowerless chocolate cake to share was the perfect finisher. Just a great great meal. You HAVE to go!

Mark V.

Yelp
Great location to take a business group or date to impress! Great steaks, service and sides! Plus a great ambiance you'd expect! Really had a great time here, my group loved everything about Hyde Park. For one thing they gave all kinds of steaks from all over the world. They have one steak from Japan which is massaged by the Japanese and lays on feather beds go make the steak as tender as possible lol!!! The steaks here are great! My filet mignon was not the best I ever had, but totally delicious and I enjoyed every bite!! The have a great selection of sauces here including a spicy bernaise sauce. I enjoyed the horseradish sauce myself! The sides were very good although unusually smaller servings. Really the entire meal was very enjoyable. Top prices here but also a high class steak house! One last point is that they have multiple private rooms for large groups. You can reserve them in advance which I highly recommend!! Highly recommended for a great steak restaurant experience!!

Tanya T.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant. Service was also excellent. Portions are generous. Even the bread basket is delicious. My only negative was that my steak was not cooked medium well. I am not a chef but it was definitely more red than I believe it should be for medium well. But other than that everything else was great. I would go back for sure.

Lisa W.

Yelp
Eh. I was expecting a great tasting flavorful steak with the prices that I paid. I got 2 ribeyes, one bone in and one bone out. I ordered through Ubereats. When I received the food it was cold, there was a little salt on the first part but after that it was very bland. I was disappointed after $140. Unfortunately my experience wasn't as great as everybody else's.

Nicole S.

Yelp
It was my boyfriend's birthday, and he loves steak so I knew he would love Hyde Park. I was able to make a reservation about a week before online and mentioned it was for a birthday. When we arrived, the table even had a birthday card for him that was signed by all the waitstaff, which I thought was a nice touch! Our server filled him in on all the steak specials, and he went with some huge steak (I don't remember how many ounces), but I think it was a ribeye and it had been dry aged and then marinated in Woodford Reserve. He of course loved it. We also really loved the bread, our drinks, and the mashed potatoes. They also brought out a little birthday cake too, which was again a very nice touch. It was worth the money but still wasn't as expensive as I was expecting, especially because I wasn't even sure how much his steak would cost. My only complaint is that it was really slow experience. Our drinks took a while and there were times that we were waiting for the next one. We also waited a long time between finishing and receiving our bill with dirty plates in front of us. It was a busy Friday night, but still just felt like service could have been a little better. There were two of us and we were there for just over two hours. Just be mindful if you're in a rush!

Yelp
It was a good 2nd experience! The first time we visited was for lunch, this last time was a birthday celebration. The food was delicious, however, they do need to upgrade or modify the bread servings. We were given a basket with crackers and one very salty log of bread. My fiancé is a bread eater and was very disappointed. The service was nice and my waitress was quite good. I tipped her a little over 20% because she did try. The ambiance was warm, quaint and inviting. Though It's amazing how people do not dress anymore for even fine dining!! I loved the chicken and my fiancé loved his steak. He said the spinach was bland, but the garlic mash was tasty. The wedge of lettuce was not as good as the one served at Morton's. They neglected to put more blue cheese dressing, bacon, and tomatoes on it. Overall, it was good. The effort to please us deserves 5 stars!

Yelp
Loved the food, service and experience. It rivaled Capital Grille, and that is saying a lot. When we got to the table, there were birthday cards for my parents. Super nice touch. I ordered oysters and they were delicious. My husband ordered a crab appetizer and it was amazingly tasty too. For my entree I shared the filet with one of my daughters and added zip sauce and the mushrooms and garlic. It was tasty and tender and cooked exactly right. For a side we had lobster Mac n cheese. Yummy and it had many many pieces of lobster. Very impressive. My family had a variety of other items and each enjoyed their meals. Then dessert ... we were full. But to our surprise, they brought birthday desserts out. One was a s'mores type dessert and we each tasted it. The other was a sorbet. This meal was great, though pricey as we expected. I'd come back again for a future celebratory event.
