Camillo a Piazza Navona - Review - Piazza Navona - Rome - The Infatuation

"A beautiful view rarely translates to a delicious meal in Rome. But there are exceptions to every rule, and that’s where Camillo a Piazza Navona comes in. Before the pandemic, Camillo catered to tourists and served bland spaghetti, but they’ve since pivoted to a menu of terrific Roman pastas, Japanese-style tempura, and an excellent hamburger. Come for a morning cappuccino or late afternoon spritz and sit in front of Bernini’s Fountain of the Four Rivers and snack on some homemade potato chips, or pop by for a great meal outside of traditional dinner hours." - Gillian McGuire

Restaurant at the side of Piazza Navona with a great view of the piazza. Nice atmosphere. The food was nice but I wouldn't say is great. The Salmon pennoni was undercooked and slightly hard for our liking. We asked for it to be re-cooked and it then came out much better for us. Also, the price is slightly on the high side. But I guess you're paying for the view as well. Another interesting point to share. The indoor seating is very cool with an all pink decor and furniture. Though there was no one seated indoor as diners tend to prefer the outdoor seating for the fantastic view of the piazza.

🤤Party of 5 (including a toddler) complete with a stroller…and we had a blast. The wait staff was extremely accommodating, quick, and cheerful. We had a few pizzas and an order of the spaghetti with clams. There were no crumbs remaining and my entire party was pleasantly full with no complaints. The sun was out, the crowd was perfect, and the ambiance of Piazza Navona was nothing but music (literally) to our ears. The Aperol spritz’ and the large Peroni’s offered great refreshment, topped off with a nice Limoncello finisher. Great place to grab a drink, some good eats, and to sit and watch the magic of the Piazza.

The caprese was fresh and refreshing, a perfect start to a meal. The carbonara was OK, the prosciutto made it with a nice amount of flavour and texture. The lasagne was a nice concept with good flavour. The Panna Cotta was the best I've had though with a hint of lavender and a buttery crumble and fresh fruit. The cocktails were amazing and vibrant. Service was also attentive and didn't feel rushed. Perfect 5*

Absolutely amazing food, service and atmosphere! The lasagna was delicious, the pasta was perfect and the aperol spritz was drool worthy! Will always recommend this restaurant and definitely come back next time I'm in Italy!!

Great meal. I am gluten free and the restaurant is really clear about food allergies with a legend on the menu. Delicious food! Highly recommend the chicken with potato salad, apple, and fennel. Delicious!

Great place. My Parmigiano was a bit too salty for my taste. Otherwise, the rest of the dishes were done well. My daughter finished a man-sized steak! 🥹😄❤️. Good place to hang around the Navona plaza.

Yelp
Great food, great service, really fun being right in the middle of Piazza Navona. We were on a trip & just found this by walking around. The salmon wrap was fresh & tasty, the perfect size to enjoy for lunch. Only 4 stars for atmosphere because several people were smoking right by us & we aren't used to that as much anymore in America. Otherwise everything was great!

Yelp
Had lunch and ordered Lasagna here, it's right next to the Sant'Agnese in Agone. It was completely different than the lasagna you get in the US. It was good, but I like it a little saucier. The service was great, and of course you can't beat the ambiance.
