If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind dining experience, Camp Camp in Flushing is a must-visit. The restaurant perfectly captures a camping vibe, with decor and seating that make you feel like you’re out in the great outdoors only with amazing food and cocktails to elevate the experience.
The service deserves special mention the employees are incredibly attentive, friendly, and efficient, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and that you’re well taken care of throughout your visit. Their warmth and hospitality add an extra layer of enjoyment to the already fun atmosphere.
One of the standout features is the Ferris Wheel, a whimsical way to serve shots of cocktails. You can pick two cocktail flavors for the shots, and while the presentation was fantastic, the cocktails themselves could use a bit of fine-tuning.
When it comes to food, the skewers are the highlight. I tried the beef, lamb, chicken, chicken gizzard, and fish tofu, and most of them were flavorful and perfectly cooked. The beef and chicken were tender and juicy, and the fish tofu was a standout. However, the chicken gizzard was overcooked, making it tough, and the lamb was a bit too fatty.
The tin foil enoki mushroom was a little heavy for me , though a little subtle for my taste, and the cucumber appetizer was absolutely perfect refreshing, well seasoned, and a great start to the meal. The stir-fried instant noodles were good, but they could use some improvement as they were slightly oily and could use more flavor depth.
Overall, Camp Camp combines fun, flavorful food with a unique camping themed atmosphere and outstanding service. While a few dishes could be refined, the creativity, amazing staff, and standout menu items like the cucumber appetizer and skewers make it a memorable and enjoyable spot for a casual night out.
