Little Bear Review - Arts District - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Little Bear is a Belgian bar/restaurant in the heart of the Arts District with a beer list that is 100% Belgian. If your only reference point for Belgian beer is a Chimay someone passed you once at the Hollywood Bowl, know that Little Bear’s beer stock includes saisons, blondes, sours, pal ales, dark ales, and everything in between. As for the food, it’s your typical bar menu stuff, but everything is good, particularly the short rib poutine and Belgian fries. The large industrial space is low-key and the perfect big group spot before a night out downtown." - Brant Cox

Google
Super cute but the community doesn't take care of it. They let their children trash it ..chips, bags all kinds of snacks wrappers and food spilled. The parks and recreation employees try to keep it clean.

Mona (Monasuniverse)

Google
Splash pad has 5 water attractions, but only 1 works at a time. There were maybe 8 kids here and it worked, but I can’t imagine if it was packed. They need to make it where all attractions are on- not just one.

Google
A really cute, safe and clean park for the kiddos. Staff is really friendly and helpful. I really love it 💕.

Google
I went yesterday at about 7:45am. I was parking my car. A heavy female worker comes over and tells me I can't walk around the park because the park opens at 8am. I said "Ok, I will park my car here but walk my dogs around". A few minutes go buy. I am still in my car and I see the woman just standing by. I start getting off the car with my dogs. She comes over and tells me "You can't be at the park". I repeated myself as in "I am not taking my dogs to the park yet. I just told you that!" It's so annoying to have someone hover over you and police you! I don't think I am going back for a while.

Google
First time here and I love it but suck I found it to late they will be remodeling soon so the will be shutting down until further notice starting sept

Google
A unbelievably awesome park with access to safe and fun children’s play equipment that actually have REAL AND NATURAL shade! There are three distinct play areas, and an actual miniature golf course and waterpark. You’ll have to check the website out for those details. Aside from that equipment, environment, and recreational activities. The parents and children are always on the lookout for one another’s safety all while constantly having fun.

Google
Nice little park with three play playgrounds. It has rubber floors and it's also has water features during summer.

Google
Update 9/8 closed! No playground. They tore it down

Yelp
This is a really great park with different sized jungle gyms, a small car, shade, a cool bridge. It was so fun for my toddler. Some of the foam flooring shows signs of wear but it's a unique play area! There is a small parking lot.
google avatar

Yelp
Really great hidden gem! Bathrooms are very clean. Foam ground shows signs of wear and tear but it's not a big deal. Plenty of different areas for kids to play and run! Makes you feel like you're in Big Bear! Definitely recommend this park. Plenty of free parking.

Yelp
I don't recommend this park at all it's not safe. Everything is broken and can be a hazard specially for toddlers. The playgrounds are a good size for small children but it's filled with broken pieces and even their ground has random holes. When we went it was around 1 pm on a Friday and it was filled with teenagers that were just throwing trash every where and it was just not a safe environment for our toddler. Wish I had some pictures maybe I'll go back just to post them because that needs to be fix.

Yelp
Love this park , especially during summer. The splash pad is a blast. Only downfall is no shaded area near the sprinklers.

Yelp
Staff were very understanding of a 2 year olds behavior and wanting to explore meanwhile the Manager is very mean and rude don't recommend bringing your kids hear not understanding of kids behavior Should train your managers to understand kids and social science better especially at a park and facility for children Completely makes sense why it's empty during the week

Yelp
Whatever you do DONT HAVE A PARTY THERE....They charge outrages fees and literally take almost 2 months to get your deposit back. I don't know of any company that takes 2 months to pay deposits back to customers. If you need to fill balloons up don't expect to use the electricity they turn it off and refuse to let you use it regardless if you practically payed more then it would be to go to DISNEYLAND. I rented 3 tables but when I arrived one of the benches had a caution sign all over so some of my guest were unseated. When I called to ask why I wasn't notified and payed for all 3 tables they asked me to read the fine print on the contract signed when renting which states YOU CAN NOT HOLD THEM RESPONSIBLE FOR BASICALLY ANYTHING. SAVE YOUR MONEY DONT RENT THERE you will Regret I Trust Me

Yelp
Beautiful park! Campsite atmosphere. Young children areas. Very calm place. Definitely take a trip if you have children.

Yelp
I love this hidden gem! The parks around the area are worn and torn down. I found this park after a few days of researching. They have a splash pad that only operates from 11-1pm (not sure if that's the exact time) but the park isn't busy in the later hours of the afternoon. Haven't been during splash pad hours so I can't really contribute to this a activity. My girls are under 2 and there's a playground catered to their age which is perfect. There's big trees that provide ample shade. There's actually 3 playgrounds not sure the ages for the bigger kids. There's a soccer field & boulders for climbing. They have a miniature golf course but that's only open in the weekends. We have never been there when this activity is open so I can't comment on the operation. There is an facility with several attendants. the restroom and a diaper changer. Very clean for a public park. There is an amphitheater and auditorium to book for events and the prices seem reasonable if you live in the city of Bell. There is activity classes such as ballet but it starts at age 3. bummer. Will definitely keep this playground in rotation for outdoor play.

Yelp
This is a long overdue post. This is a beautiful park to take your kids, they have 3 play structures for different ages. During the summer time, they have the water area open at certain times, so call before heading there. They also have a mini golf section for all ages (meaning kids) they have a soccer field and they also offer cooking classes. My son accidentally fell in one of the rocks they have, and bump his head. I went into the office to ask for an ice-pack, they didn't have any but they gave me a bag of ice, which was really helpful. The staff is constantly cleaning, and monitoring the park, which is great.

Yelp
It was a hot day. Came here because yelp said it was a splash pad. Well nothing is on. No shade for the playground. Everything directly under sun.

Yelp
Nice little park made especially for kids!!! I'm glad that I found this park and my kid just loves playing here. The one thing that I really liked about this park was the cushioned ground. The play area wasn't built around the sands so your kids won't get messy but it's still safe to play and run around. There are plenty of things that kids can enjoy. This park includes kid's basketball area, soccer field, miniature golf, little picnic area, and some area that kids can run around and explore. They even have night lights all around the park so you can still take the kids there when the day gets darker. I've been to many other parks around LA but I never seen a park that was built especially for the kids. I'm not sure if this was just my impression but the kids were all behaving nicely here knowing how to take turns and offer kind gesture to my kid since most the kids here were older than him. I once had to deal with rude and unbehaving little girl trying to push my kid off the slide from Pan Pacific park near the Grove. I'm glad that I didn't find any kid like that here and my kid spent really good time.

Yelp
Little Bear Park is wonderful place for children to play. I regularly take my nieces and nephews to play here, and they always have good time :-) The playground is always clean and nice; the staff that works here is always friendly. Tip: The bathrooms here are always clean and well stocked For a nominal fee, you can reserve the tables here for special events; there's also a soccer field.

Yelp
CUTE, CUTE, CUTE little park. The only bad thing is the parking. I held my son's 6th birthday party in their bear log cabin. The location was great but parking is horrible.

Samia A.

Yelp
This is an ok park. I only come here for the children's programs. This park is filled with foul mouthed young children that curse and say very inappropriate things to each other.
google avatar

Vanessa P.

Yelp
This park is so damn adorable. I need to bring her back now that she's older. They have a small miniature golf area, a water park (I'm not sure if it's in service). They also have a small soccer area. This place is hidden between houses/apartments. Easy to miss. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Nice clean place to bring your kids to play. Kinda empty perfect if you don't like the crowds.

Maya R.

Yelp
I had went over little two months ago and the park was messy and how it was on the pictures. Every slide was mostly closed. My kids were a little disappointed but still managed to have fun with whatever was available

Yelp
This is a small residential park with lots of activities for the kiddos. It was opened about 2 years ago and it's starting to show some wear which tells me it's probably very popular. When you drive in to the parking lot you'll see a small fenced basketball court, which is only big enough for one hoop so not much room to hold an actual game, but perfect for practicing your shooting. When you enter the park gate you'll see 2 play structures, one for the younger kids and one for the older kids. The smaller one is missing a bridge so you're pretty much left with just a small slide. The bigger one has slides, climbing ladders, monkey bars, 2 regular swings, and a spider web like climber. If you walk a bit further in you'll find a jeep ride on, a play house, another play structure, and baby swings. This particular play structure has slides for both the little ones and the bigger kids. If you walk a few steps further you'll also see a small splash pad area and a gated miniature golf. On the side of the playground there's a gated soccer field, it's small but good enough for a kids game. What I liked about this playground is the fact that although it's small, they have set up different play sections through out the park so that kids aren't gathered all in one area, but it's small so you can still keep an eye on your kids from almost anywhere in the playground. The play structure near the splash pad is the most convenient for parents like me who have a toddler and a preschooler because I can easily keep an eye on my son while swinging my daughter no matter if he's in the splash pad, on the play structure or playing in the jeep or play house. The good: different play features, benches with canopies, bbq grills, seating all around the park, and splash pad in the summer. Neg: small parking lot, small basketball court, play structure and flooring showing some wear.

Yelp
I'm only going to give it a 4 because I hosted a baby shower here and had to wait from morning until it ended, in order to save my spot. Plus! They didn't tell me that the lights didn't work when the sun was setting so we were in the dark for the rest of the evening with my guests. Other than that, it's a cute little park which is why I gave it a 4 stars.
google avatar

Yelp
My kids had a great time but it was a bit to crowded for me... to many street vendors around trying to sell you to many things... but all in all as long as my kids had fun... I'm happy

Yelp
Been coming here before the renewal (72) and makes our City look great! Have to admit, miss the Rocket however, other great things made up for it! Mazel tov !

Yelp
Nice clean park, water zone for the kids, min golf, and BBQ's fun for all kids. The parks theme is a campground and it makes you feel like you really are at a camp site. Over all this park is great

IzzyZai Show V.

Yelp
I love this park! The city based this park in a camp style theme along with bear statues. It is relaxing and small for those of us worried about wild children. They also have a recreational center in the same premises which offers different classes for kids including a Toddler Kindergarten. Unfortunately, it's been closed because of the Pandemic but I am looking forward to enjoying the park with my kids again!

Yelp
I grew up going to this park, way back when there was a big metal rocket ship we could climb into. I also went to preschool here. It is nice to see how it has grown over the years. It now has a mini soccer field and mini golf, a big clubhouse and new playground equipment, plus it is great for birthday parties. Very clean and has enough things to keep the little ones running around all day.
google avatar

Casey B.

Yelp
Very clean cute little park. They have about 4 gazebos with tables and grills if you want to barbecue. We wish the slash pad was open for longer than 3hours though on the weekends
google avatar

Lynn R.

Yelp
Small cute very clean and safe. Staff is always very helpful and they have great customer service.
google avatar

Mario G.

Yelp
Great park!! We try to take our kids on the weekends and it's one of the cleanest parks around. Thanks to the staff for keeping it in clean and in order.
google avatar

Jose G.

Yelp
This park is great. I like the fact that there is different sections for aged groups gotta love that part. Also the floor is that soft rubber not like some other parks where it seems that they have those wood chips or so. A pain in the butt to clean of clothes.
google avatar

Will H.

Yelp
Very nice and clean little park. This location is a little hidden and not on a main st. Great place to bring your little kids and have them run free till their batteries run out. There's park staff on site and makes the ambience a tad bit safer.
google avatar

David U.

Yelp
I visited the park when my wife and parents both took our kids and said it was fantastic. It has great playgrounds for kids up to 10 yrs old. Our boys had a blast climbing the rock structure, playing on all the equipment. If we packed a lunch we could be here all day!
google avatar

Carla B.

Yelp
A small but very cute park. We really enjoyed the mini golf course. Very well maintained. The soccer field & basketball court are the perfect size for the younger kids.

Yelp
This is our first time here after searching for top parks near Downey, CA. I have to say that I'm really impressed. It's safe, clean, and made especially for kids. The neighborhood looks a little sketchy but once inside the park, you wouldn't even know. I highly recommend this park your kids will love it.

Santos T.

Yelp
I really liked this park for my kids. It's a small place but safety. My kids had so much fun.

Marla L.

Yelp
This park is great! My kids always have so much fun and love coming here. I like the fact that is always clean and staff is always around.

Yelp
First time at the park and even though it wasnt the best day to go i still give it 5 stars. I like how its kind of hidden in the middle of a neighborhood. Love that they have different playground areas for the kids to choose from. Water area is only on from 1-3 and miniature golfing from 3-5. It was a very hot day so ny kids were getting burned on the playground but id love to visit again on a more cooler day.
google avatar

Margo J.

Yelp
Fantastic little water park in an unexpected place. If you drive too fast, you could miss it entirely. It's hard to believe they don't charge. The kids can play in the water, play on the slides and other equipment,, and end it all with a game of miniature golf. Truly a gem!
google avatar

Nilo R.

Yelp
Good place to take the kids. Plenty of play area to go around. Soccer field, mini golf, and they even show movies on weeknights. Also you can rent some of the bench areas for parties.
google avatar

Darlene L.

Yelp
This is a great playground for children. I often take my 5 year old daughter and my 7 and 8 year old nieces. They all have a great time. The staff is very friendly and the playground is kept nice and clean. The bathrooms are always stocked and clean as well! I know you can reserve the tables for special events for a nominal fee. There is a small synthetic soccer field.

Yelp

Also has a few picnic areas you can reserve. Indoor activity center and miniature golf. Small soccer field on the side. Private parking. Just perfect and safe

Yelp
This park is very clean and the staff that work there are very friendly. I enjoy taking my kids to little bear park.

Yelp
Love love love ! This park for my kids ! . Today was the 1st time I took them here . I got here around 12 a few toddlers and pre schoolers playing . It's a small park but has 3 play areas great for ages infant to 8 maybe older depends what age kids stop playing at the park. They have what looks like a mini water play area which was not on for obvious reasons it's cold lol but im assuming in the summer they have it running . There is no grassy areas but they do have benches to sit and watch the kids play . They also have an area to sit and have a snack. Best of all no sand ! lol so you don't have to worry about sand in shoes or diapers . It's very clean they have a recreation office where the employees are very friendly and the bathrooms are clean with changing table . I was pleasantly suprised to find out that they offer parent and child classes at a low cost as well as pre schooler classes . The only downside is they have very limited parking it's a little hidden on a residential area but as long as you have GPS your good lol . I wouldn't recommend coming after 130 on a Tuesday as to the middle school and some kindergarten school kids get out early and the park gets really crowded. If you dont mind that then it's ok but for me with a toddler and 3 yr old hard to keep an eye on them at the same time. Other than that This will definitely be my go to park from now on !

Yelp

They have many activities one can also attend just signed up for parent & me with my 2 year old daughter excited to attend the class .

Yelp
This is by far the best neighborhood small park they have around LA. It's so small yet it doesn't feel cramped. When you enter it actually makes you feel like youre in Big Bear. They have a small basketball court in the main entrance. A cabin/recreation building where you sign up your girls for ballet. They also have a clean reception desk and restrooms. Not to mention the inside of this building is beautiful. Outside you find appropriate swings and jungle gym with Disney classics playing in the background. You keep walking and you see the pavillion area which has yet another play area in the back with water sprinklers (used in the summer after memorial day) and a small golf course. There's also a small soccer field. I fell in love when I first came here. Haven't gone back since I'm busy and I live closer to Veterans Park. But I have to say that the city of Bell did a great job in recreating some of the best parks around the area. Surpassing Huntington park, maywood, and bell gardens.

Gabby C.

Yelp
I love this park its gated, clean, lots of play area and has WiFi.

Susana A.

Yelp
Great park for children. All equipment is age appropriate, new, well maintained and safe.
