Camp Lucy

"Why book? If you’re searching for that sweet spot where a luxury wine-country escape in the Texas hills fuses to a playful retreat. Offering activities reminiscent of summer sleepaway camp, this resort blends glam and grit by running the gamut when it comes to things to do: prepare to switch gears from a mixology class or olive oil tasting to archery or fishing. Or, opt for ultimate summer leisure by simply swimming up to the pool bar for a drink or snack while you soak. Camp Lucy’s 282-acre property has allure for visitors of all types, and will dazzle you with its internationally-sourced decor inside transported historic structures. Dine in an 18th century town-hall from Ninh Binh, Vietnam, at the hotel’s upscale American Nouveau concept restaurant Tillie’s. Before you head to your room, grab a bag of animal feed from the front desk and treat the three friendly alpacas who live next to the building to a snack. An echo of quirky energy reverberates at this resort just over an hour away from the eclectic capital city of Austin in “The Gateway to Hill Country” known as Dripping Springs. Set the scene This romantic experiential stay in Texas wine country shakes up your perception of time and place. A private collection of architectural antiques has been woven into the character of Camp Lucy, from the rooms, to Tillie’s restaurant, to the stunning on-site wedding venues. The main flavor across the grounds is Southeast Asia, down to the Vietnamese coffee options in every room. The ideas of family and forever-love kisses the enchanting property, which is embodied in the heart-shaped emblem inspired by the designs on the hand-crafted clay building tiles imported from Vietnam. I found the logo quite fitting for the frequent weddings hosted at one of the property's three venues: amongst quiet live oaks, at the iconic Ian’s Chapel, and in the onsite vineyard. During my stay, my path crossed with wedding-goers, Texans looking for a posh weekend away, and wine lovers from near and far. The complimentary glass of sangria upon check in made with rosé from the vineyard made a refreshing first impression. The backstory This all started with a man who loved antiques, and a decision to import a church from Vietnam without a clear idea of what to do with it—plus a love story. Camp Lucy was born when former antiques dealer and real estate developer Whit Hanks restored the ornate chapel on his family’s property in 2008. His wife-to-be, Kim, an event-planner at the time, had posed the idea of turning the chapel into a wedding venue. The vision grew into multiple wedding and event spaces, ultimately setting the stage for the creation of the resort Camp Lucy and the beginnings of Whim Hospitality. The power couple is known for taking on passion projects that involve restoring and reinventing historic properties, like the Old Bell Hotel: a 13th-century manor in England rumored to be the country’s oldest hotel (which the duo purchased in 2021). What strikes me about the owners is the impressive way in which they infuse their hearts and souls into their properties, letting projects unfold thoughtfully, organically, and always with space to embrace the natural flow of their creativity. The rooms The 41 charming booking options range from rooms, to suites, to cottages. Deluxe tree-top suites with patios overlook abundant wildflowers, while family-style log cabins beckon for groups. Meaningful historic items and Asian flair adorn each room. The high ceilings dangle patterned pendant lamps along with action-packed wallpaper complete with flora and fauna (boats, bears, and bulls were pictured, to name a few). The room struck a balance between wild and bold, while also being cozy and inviting. Each booking option has its own unique perks–the Estate Rooms have stunning stone soaking tubs, The Cottages have full-size kitchens, fireplaces, and multiple bedrooms, The English Suite boasts a personal outdoor shower, and The Terrace Suite offers a pair of private patios fitted with outdoor seating and a pillow-top hammock. Rates start at $374 per night. As I crawled into my plush king-sized bed for the night, I tuned into the forest’s symphony: a rhythmic chorus of chirping crickets, wind rustling the leaves, and the occasional croak of a frog. Nature’s orchestra lulled me into a tranquil slumber. I relished in the lavish specialty experience that marries luxury hospitality with the rawness of nature (you may spot critters like armadillos, deer, and javelinas on the grounds). Food and drink A sense of upscale comfort and warm cultural convergence spills from turquoise antique doors from India that mark the entrance to Tillie’s, the inventive on-site restaurant helmed by Chef Andy Knudson. His journey to Tillie’s began studying under Michelin-starred Chef Daniel Boulud at Restaurant Daniel and later coast-to-coast experience in world-renowned kitchens including Aspen’s only five-star hotel, The Little Nell, and Michelen-starred Restaurant Guy Savoy in Paris. The soaring-ceilinged, antique town hall from Vietnam that houses Tillie’s is adorned with a bronze-gilded chandelier from France, and the walls are covered in beautiful antique patron saint figurines. Once you’ve taken in the elaborate and miscellaneous scene, get comfortable in the leather chairs or booths and start off with a glass of wine from Camp Lucy’s vineyard. For an afternoon activity, try the olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting (the truffle-infused olive oil was my favorite, along with the raspberry balsamic)—but make sure to give yourself buffer time before dinner so you’re ready to take on the menu in all its glory. Start with the spicy brussel sprouts, which are tantalizingly citrusy, along with the summer-y bluefin tuna aguachile. Stand-out main courses include the New York strip steak served with a textural Spanish potato tortilla, and the sea trout bathed in a light cream sauce. My favorite drink was the smooth, sweet-and-sour Lady Hancock, but the robust wine menu made it tough to choose a cocktail. If you don’t feel like making a decision and are in the mood for a surprise, the creative bartenders also spin up personalized drinks to your taste. The old bell sticky toffee pudding closes out on a rich, carmel-y high note. For brunch, try the crispy chili shrimp and grits, a gigantic fluffy cinnamon roll slathered in vanilla glaze, the mushroom toast spread with lemon ricotta whip, and the sensory-overload smoked brisket bubble and squeak. It’s safe to say that Tillie’s didn't disappoint. The spa While there is no spa currently on-site, I was happy to hear that Camp Lucy has plans to unveil a Folklore Spa in summer 2024. The full service spa will feature a hot tub with Hill Country views, a co-ed sauna, and a pool, along with its own bar and full restaurant. Services will include a menu of massage options, sound baths, meditations, and facials. The neighborhood/area Camp Lucy’s lush surroundings feel like a true city escape. The town of Dripping Springs is recognized as an International Dark Sky Community, meaning visitors can enjoy notably dazzling stars here. While secluded in the hills off of a winding dirt road, the resort is just minutes away from the Dripping Springs local scene of breweries, wineries, and distilleries. Beautiful natural destinations are also close by: the emerald-green grotto Hamilton Pool, along with Milton Reimers Ranch Park with its limestone cliffs, and scenic Pedernales River overlooks. However, with countless options when it comes to on-site enjoyments, Camp Lucy makes it hard to even consider leaving their wonderland. Yoga and meditation, hatchet throwing, history tours, vineyard and wine tastings... the list goes on. Plus, part of the destination resort’s allure is to escape the everyday; I never left the premises during my stay. The service Expect friendly, warm service from the spunky staff, plus a sense of freedom to do your thing. The entire experience interacting with the employees is brushed with quintessential Southern hospitality. Everyone is happy to help schedule programming for you in advance of your arrival (which is recommended to schedule ahead of time), or they can help you at your leisure post-arrival. The vibe is more relaxed while still being acutely supportive and informed. For families Families who like to have fun while savoring the finer things can have a field day here (literally—you can take a guided or unguided hike on the many miles of trails.) Bountiful activities balance out the plethora of places around the property meant to inspire and relax, so folks young and old will find their fit. Grab feed for the resident alpacas from the front desk at any time or pick up a fishing pole and walk down to Onion Creek whenever you feel inclined. It will feel like camp for the youngins, like a retreat for the adults, and vice-versa. The whole group can gather around the communal fire pit with s’mores kits to end the night. Accessibility Camp Lucy accommodates ADA standards with a selection of accessible rooms and bathrooms, along with wheelchair friendly pathways that lead to the hotel’s elevator. The wedding venues and event spaces on-site are also all accessible. Anything left to mention? This place really does it all, and they do it well; wellness retreats, vacations, weddings. (If you book your wedding at any of Camp Lucy’s venues, you will receive a complimentary engagement shoot.) In the fall, hundreds of monarch butterflies flock to the Sacred Oaks garden, a peaceful outdoor wedding venue. The Events Hall at Ian’s chapel once was part of the underground railroad system and belonged to an Amish community in Ohio; the history runs deliciously deep and diverse here. The whole resort has a magical feel to it–something like an imaginative, culturally-rich dreamland for thoughtful travelers who appreciate the elegance and joy of life. When it comes to keeping both your inner child and adult self fulfilled, Camp Lucy hits the bulls-eye." - Alexandra Toto

From the moment we set foot on the property, we knew Camp Lucy was something special. Our very first walkthrough with Jessie sealed the deal — she welcomed us with warmth, excitement, and made us instantly feel like we were in the best hands. The beauty of the venue speaks for itself, but it was the incredible team behind it that truly made our wedding experience unforgettable. During the planning process, Laura’s guidance and expertise were everything we didn’t know we needed. She helped us navigate every detail with ease, offering thoughtful advice and support that made the entire process feel seamless. Her professionalism and calm confidence made us feel fully at ease every step of the way. Then came wedding day — and Hannah absolutely delivered. The day-of execution was flawless. Hannah was on top of every detail, ensuring everything flowed perfectly while allowing us to stay fully present and soak in each moment. She made the day feel effortless, and we are endlessly grateful. From start to finish, the Camp Lucy team was a dream to work with. They cared deeply about our vision and went above and beyond to bring it to life. We truly cannot imagine a more perfect place — or a more incredible team — to have hosted the best day of our lives.

Google
Attended a family members wedding at one of the venues on property. And stayed in one of the new rooms (cabins) over night. The wedding venue was very lovely with both TX and worldly themes throughout. All of the servers were professional and made it a beautiful evening. The hotel rooms are very unique and we loved them. A short walk to the pool. And 3 different hiking trails to pick from. The morning after we dined at the main restaurant for breakfast. The food was good and filling. Highly recommend making a reservation the night before or at check-in. It fills up fast with multiple events going on at the property.

I don’t know where to begin. They were not only kind but when above and beyond with service and hospitality. We enjoyed feeding the alpacas, doing their chicken chat, hiking, s’mores at night and swimming. Absolutely delightful and a new family tradition. My 6 year old son has a new core memory and we will forever be thankful. We were here to get away from the city and grieving my other sons life and we were welcomed with open arms and love. Thank you so much Camp Lucy for our time here.

Photographer here! Camp Lucy is hands-down one of my favorite venues to photograph in Texas. Every corner of this property is magic, from the ceremony views at the Arch Overlook to the old world charm of Ian’s Chapel and the warm, inviting reception spaces. I’ve photographed multiple weddings here, and every time I’m blown away by how versatile and photogenic it is. The light, the textures, the way it transitions from day to night, it’s truly a dream to work in. 📸 Photography: Heather Thompson Photography

I attended a wedding here in November. It was a great experience. Not an easy place to get to and not a lot of higher end hotel options so keep that in mind or have a designated driver to get you back to Austin in one piece. The outdoor service site is very intimate and beautiful with the trees & shabby chic feel. The reception building that we were in was lively. High ceilings with wood beams and romantic lighting. |Spacious for the 100 or so guests- you could fit a few more in but it wasn’t crowded. |Wish the wedding table was raised to see them easier. |Pretty drive into the camp too.

Google
What a beautiful property this is and they have hosting weddings down to a science. I cannot believe we even considered the Laiken. It is so generic and soulless by comparison to Camp Lucy. If you are looking for a beautiful wedding venue, do yourself a favor and visit Camp Lucy

Yelp
I'm definitely coming back. This is one of the most extravagant stays I've had in a while. The restaurant is amazing. The property is filled with unique buildings from Vietnam and some from Ohio, I believe. Staff are all lovely. The room has such unique and lovely details. The kettle makes different temperatures for different teas - the nicest in-room kettle I have seen. The coffee is a lovely pour over from Vietnam. Hotel room coffee is normally disgusting, but for the first time I just loved it. The products are premium and a brand I love - Aromatherapy Associates. Smelled amazing. It's a brand found only at the best hotels and spas. The bathroom is HUGE. I loved the gallery style lighting. The room furnishings are lovely and filled with antiques from the owners' collection. Comfy bed, super clean, well-appointed. Private patio with views of hill country. My friends had a different room that had a whirlpool brand microwave which honestly was crazy to me because I didn't know whirlpool made small appliances. It's the small things for me because most hotels stock cheap in-room coffee, generic kettles and microwaves. These items are all top of the line at Camp Lucy. Even a Four Seasons has a basic tea kettle without special temperatures. I've had a few hotels with Nespresso machines, but this is the first with Vietnamese pour over coffee. Truly the best hotel room I've been to so far even compared to Park Hyatts, Andaz or Four Seasons. Tip: Front desk offers free feed for the alpacas. You can fish, make s'mores and there are many other activities (free and paid).

Yelp
Please note that I toured Camp Lucy but did not stay overnight. I was a +1 at a Yelp event at Camp Lucy December 7th. This event was both highlighting the onsite restaurant, Tillie's, new tea service and menu as well as the resort itself. While I really enjoyed the sampling of the tea service menu, it was Camp, Tilly itself that blew me away. This multifunction resort is a reasonable distance outside of Austin, but feels like it's 1,000,000 miles from anywhere. The fact that dripping springs is a dark sky city Really adds to that ambience. I just wish it weren't so cloudy when we were there. Our tour took us through the chapel and other buildings that they use frequently for wedding venues, and also corporate gatherings and family reunions. While there are multiple locations to stay at, from houses to rooms that are more similar to a hotel, the cabins with little porches and common areas with fire pits were very attractive and seemed like a fun way to gather family for both a wedding wedding or a family reunion. Not only does the pool area and a list of outdoor activities make the site appealing but the way Camp Lucy developed, and the history of some of the structures are particularly interesting. The family behind Camp Lucy brought buildings as well as furniture, and art from Vietnam and places in the United States to integrate them beautifully into their resort. Currently, there is a spa under construction, which will have its own set of dedicated rooms, making it the perfect location for a weekend, couples or girls or boys getaway. Already marked my calendar to make reservations for when it opens in the fall of 2024. My pictures don't really do the location justice, but give you an idea of how beautiful Camp Lucy is.

Yelp
I recently made the trek out to Dripping Springs for a Yelp elite event and boy am I glad I did. Our event began with a small tour of the Camp Lucy property and multiple tastings throughout. I really appreciated all of the staff for planning this special event and I can only imagine the thought that goes into any events or stays here! One of my favorite parts, aside from the delicious food, was learning about the history AND prospective growth of Camp Lucy and Tillie's. Part of the tasting was a sample of what they serve at their afternoon tea: biscuits & jam & clotted cream and smoked salmon bite. Both were heavenly and melted in my mouth! I can't wait to one day treat myself to a whole afternoon tea here. Another thing - I can't wait to treat myself to is theirs newest addition to their property- A SPA!!! Coming Fall 2024! If you want a weekend getaway, retreat, or wedding - Camp Lucy will take the reins and make anything special!

Yelp
We had a wonderful staycation at Camp Lucy. It was truly a break from the city and they had many activities to do. The estate rooms are beautiful, comfortable and dog friendly. They have a vineyard that you can walk to, hiking trails both paved and trail, alpacas, fishing, s'mores by the fire and a great restaurant onsite. The restaurant has outdoor seating and heaters if you want to take your dog with you. We also went to the Cello sound bathing in the church which was nice. Camp Lucy provided water bottles to refill and take back to your room, umbrellas if needed, and Vietnamese drip coffee which was a nice surprise. They have a pool as well but since it was cold and the water wasn't heated, we chose to skip. We would definitely come back for a staycation or even a work event. The property looks amazing for those that want to have a wedding.

Yelp
Phenomenal stay at Camp Lucy! 11/10 for this well manicured and thought out resort. They have it all from the swim up pool bar to nature hikes and I must mention the adorable Alpacas. This getaway is a one spot stop with a multitude of activities including archery and this months highlight; a cello sound bath. The restaurant on site, Tillies is a reason to come on it's own. Covered in festive decor, delicious dishes and wine from their very own vineyard. (Must try the Malbec) There are plenty of different room types to choose from all with well thought out details like pour over coffee and giant tubs in suite. Don't forget to walk the property and discover the old Vietnamese buildings and the scenic lookout Special thanks to the staff- Kerianne for being so helpful in the booking process & Marte at the front desk for making the checkin seamless and the entire stay feel so welcoming

Yelp
My overnight stay at Camp Lucy during Yelp's Tea Time Event was a delightful experience overall. The Vista room we occupied was modern, impeccably decorated, spacious, offering more than enough room for two people. The inclusion of two queen-size beds, a separate seating area, and a balcony added to the comfort and charm of the accommodation. One of the highlights of our stay was the breathtaking view of the rolling hills visible through the floor-length glass windows and doors. The natural beauty surrounding Camp Lucy truly made our time there special. The well-kept grounds, complete with charming animals like alpacas and chickens, provided a unique and enjoyable touch to the overall ambiance. The staff at Camp Lucy were a standout feature, demonstrating helpfulness, friendliness, and attentiveness throughout our visit. Their warm and welcoming attitude added a personal touch to our stay, making us feel valued as guests. The room boasted ample amenities, contributing to a convenient and enjoyable stay. However, a couple of opportunities for improvement were having the option to brew a proper pot of coffee in the room would have been a welcome addition, especially for those who crave a strong cup of coffee. They had a tea like coffee option (where you steep the coffee bag in your mug) and it's just not strong enough. Note to self, order coffee for room service next time or just grab some from Tillie's. Additionally, my bed was a bit squeaky, and my pillows were not as soft as I would have preferred. Definitely not a heavenly bed moment. Next visit, I will request softer pillows when making the reservation. In summary, Camp Lucy provided a charming setting for our overnight stay during Yelp's Tea Time Event. The spacious Vista room, stunning views, friendly staff, and unique on-site animals made for a memorable experience. With a few minor tweaks, such as improved coffee options and pillow choices, Camp Lucy has the potential to enhance the overall guest experience even further. I would certainly consider returning specially once the spa is open!

Yelp
This place is amazing!! I was blessed to be able to attend a Yelp Elite event here and it totally blew my socks off! The staff were all incredibly friendly and attentive. The bartenders were awesome too! The food omg the food at the restaurant is soooo good. We had the Brussel sprouts, homemade cured salmon, butter biscuit with berry jam, cucumber tea and pimento tea sandwiches, Yulu roll honey cake with vanilla bean toasted meringue and my husband had their old fashion and I had their Malbec wine. Everything was truly delicious but the Brussel sprout salad and homemade cured salmon were amazingggggg . Like omg wow! We're definitely coming back to eat here! The Malbec is beyond delicious. I'm normally a Cabernet Sauvignon girl but I could drink that Malbec all night it was that good. This place would be awesome for a wedding. The grounds are just perfect for it. I even think it would be a super cool place to throw a medieval theme or big Halloween party. They have an angelic cello player concert that was giving me total Game of Throne vibes. Candlelight light all around the property. Love love love! A must visit.

Yelp
I came to Camp Lucy for a one night stay on December 15th, 2023 with my partner. Just outside of the city limits, the picturesque town of Dripping Springs is beautiful and is home to Camp Lucy, a Texas Wine Country Resort. What originated as a popular wedding venue has evolved into a full-scale resort complete with on-property activities, an extensive food and beverage program, and luxury accommodations. Prior to checking into our room, we were given a tour of the resort where we learned about the history of the buildings and their Vietnamese, French, and Amish origins. We also discovered that Camp Lucy offers plenty of picturesque settings to use as a romantic backdrop. Additionally, lush forestry and manicured lawns are present throughout the grounds, giving any event a landscaped, nature-inspired setting. The resort also includes a restaurant, vineyard, and sound bath. My partner and I stayed in an estate room, which was beautifully furnished with hand carved furniture and a large bathroom with a modern frameless glass shower (room enough for two). The room also included a small deck from which we were able to view a pristine forest-like setting with deer roaming free. The room also had a step-down den, which had a couch and table and was a perfect place for morning coffee (which was included with the room). This resort makes a great place for a weekend getaway, staycation, or wedding venue.

Yelp
Lovely stay! Very quiet staycation getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. It had rained the night we checked in, so it interrupted the Internet and satellite connection; but Camp Lucy accommodated and made sure it was rectified. It was through no fault of Camp Lucy, as you can't control mother nature. Cozy room amenities: robes heated towel rack, rain shower head, spacious bathroom, fridge/microwave combo in the room, designated living room space, Copper Cow coffee and Tazo teas assortment, and electric kettle. I regret not staying more than a night! Camp Lucy provides a variety of activities you may sign up for such as fishing, petting zoo, and so many other things to do on the campgrounds. Tillie's is also on site, by the hotel check in, so you don't have to venture off campgrounds to have a delicious meal. Overall, lovely place and I can't wait to visit again!

Yelp
Reviewing after first visit. The word resort only begins to describe this unique place. The resort is made up of different antique sites that are imported from different places. The grounds are landscaped really nice as well. They have different logging options and a restaurant on site. I would highly recommend this place for your next special event or for your next staycation. I can't wait to bring my out of town guests here. See pics.

Yelp
I was lucky enough to come out here for Yelp's Holiday Soirée and turned it into a 1 night, 2 day staycation. First off, the staff is phenomenal. I think the service of anywhere I go can make or break an experience, but everyone here was so accommodating, helpful, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure I was taken care of. That in itself was a 5/5 experience!! I plan to visit again hugely due to this. The property is beautiful. It is large, but quiet. I wandered around everywhere (including all 3 hiking trails/Vineyard) and rarely ran into anyone aside from the main areas which is nice if you're looking for some solo time. They provide a detailed map and the paths are marked well as well. I had a treetop room and the view was so peaceful. I was on the bottom floor and could hear the movement above me. Beautiful room (reminded me of White Lotus) and came with great amenities - like a full tea box and coffee, complimentary water jugs... the bathroom had a dual rain shower, though not the most intuitive (for me) to operate. The weather was perfect so I spent the morning out on my balcony (it does face east so the sun is bright in the mornings - easily solved by the thick blackout curtains if you are inside). There was so much wildlife. I was so excited to see a family of baby deer running around and playful chasing each other thru the trees. I didn't have a chance to officially dine at Tilly's but I had a few sips at the bar before the event and they brought over a pasta for me on the house! It was a wonderful and much appreciated gesture and the start to a lovely stay. We were also served bites throughout the event that reflected some of what was on their menu. All really tasty. I also tried their Olive Oil Tasting, which I LOVED. So interesting, fun, and informative and a great spread to pair with! It includes (skip the rest of this paragraph if you don't want spoilers and note they do switch out their oils/balsamics annually depending on what is produced) a glass of wine from their Vineyard, and I sampled 5 types of olive oils (Picual from Italy, Coratina/Taggiasica blend from Spain, 3 infused olive oils from California - garlic-infused, jalapeño-infused, lime-infused) and 2 types of balsamics (15-year aged and blood-infused). It comes with foccacia bread, Manchego cheese, and some fruits (though this can also be subject to change as well). I do wish there was a schedule of activities I could preview so I knew what days were best to come do the activities I was interested in (since not everything is available every day - my other favorite similar spots offer a weekly calendar of daily activities) but they did mention to call in to find out or so they can accommodate. I also wish it were easier to see pricing on their online booking calendar so I can figure out the optimal days to come back for a staycation. I highly recommend coming for a staycation!

Yelp
Camp Lucy really does seem like the best of the best wedding venues in the Hill Country. There are several options for ceremonies and receptions, each with their own vibe. Lots of great photo opps and experiences around every turn. My fave? Feeding the adorably derpy alpacas! We stayed two nights after an event we attended on site. We chose a Vista room because we liked the idea of a sitting area in addition to the usual bed/bath. The Vista rooms are beautifully designed and most have gorgeous views. I don't recommend Rooms 210 or 211, however, because they are tucked at the top of the ravine, so the views are mostly obstructed. Our room was well laid-out, but could have benefited from a once-over by the maintenance and housekeeping teams. When we arrived, we were overwhelmed by a very strong bleach smell that lingered for hours. We opened the window, turned on the fans, and vacated the premises for the evening because it was so overpowering that it gave me an insta-headache. We also had a sink that was verrrry slow to drain, a non-functioning heated towel rack, a rainfall showerhead that only partially operated due to mineral scaling, an already opened body lotion, and a tile floor that could have used a second mopping. Fortunately, we secured a special rate that made the accommodation bumps a lot easier to roll with. If we had paid the typical rack rate, I think we would have been super-disappointed.

Yelp
Camp Lucy features upscale luxury lodgings for guests who are looking for a nice retreat in the beautiful Nature. We did a two-day staycation and what I love about Camp Lucy is that they offer a wide variety of luxury lodging options. We picked the "Vista Room" as I'm obsessed with its interior designs. The triangular roof and the wood beams create a cute, homey atmosphere and the moment I walked into the room I felt "at home". The Vista Rooms also has a step-down seating area separate from the bedroom plus a semi-private outdoor patio where we saw many animals including a family of deers and some rabbits. The French windows around the living room area provide great sunlight and a beautiful view of Camp Lucy's rolling hillside - definitely one of the best views to wake up to in Central Texas. The next day we started our morning with a nice brunch at Tillie's, followed by some fun outdoor activities in the afternoon. Camp Lucy (link) offers several different add-on outdoor activities options and I highly recommend it to people who are visiting with a group and/or aim to experience a real Texan getaway. The activities we signed up for were archery and ax throwing and my favorite one was archery. The instructor was friendly and sweet, she brought a speaker into the woods so we were able to pick our favorite tunes as we mingled and learned to aim right. Our very last stop was the alpaca farm. Camp Lucy offers free alpaca food at their front desk for resort guests. Feeding them was one of the cutest and weirdest things I've ever done and I couldn't help but keep wondering where they got those sexy lashes!!?

Yelp
Nestled in the Texas Hill County ranch In Dripping Springs , this 1 hour drive from Austin with spectacular views was worth the drive.Camp Lucy opened in 2008 and vineyard in 2020 at the height of the pandemic. So grateful for the chance to celebrate Movember and Men's Health fundraiser at Camp Lucy. We were greeted in a large area for lunch made up from their on site chef with fresh handmade breads. Salads and desserts. This event offered an Olive Oil / basalmic tasting with 4 infused olive oils ( truffle oil- delish). The chocolate balsalmic and rasberry balsamic were our favorite vinegars paired with handmade sourdough bread by their in-house chefs.( I seriously think there bread was as delicious as any have ever tasted ). They offered a glass of Camp Lucy wine from their vineyard and we had someone explaining the pairings with each oil and vinegar. SCRUMPTIOUS. At the end of the class, we went home with fullsize glass bottles filled and labeled with our favorite oils and vinegars. They also offered archery and hatchet throwing at this event .We were not dressed for that so maybe next time will try. Definitely plan on returning the next time in Dripping Springs for yoga and mediation classes or vineyard tours.

Yelp
This is a really lovely venue - we came here for an outdoor wedding at the stone arch and the setting was so gorgeous. Grounds are well maintained, scenery is breathtaking, staff is attentive and runs a smooth event. Really nice facilities; we were all very impressed!

Yelp
I'm going to be biased, since I got married at Camp Lucy, but trust me; they deserve their reputation. We got engaged in 2019, and fell in love with Sacred Oaks on our first visit in February 2020. We knew this would be the place for us, and for our big french/American wedding. We picked a summer wedding for my french family to be able to travel, so August 21, 2021 was our date. On the same day, a year early, we went there to celebrate and used our wedding couple discount to treat ourselves and get familiar with the property. We had an amazing time lounging by the pool. Only sad part, the restaurant had a fire and was closed that day. We went to Le Vacher and I do not recommend. But that's another story. Back on track, life happened, covid and the travel ban messed up our plans. 4 weeks before our date, we had to postpone because my family wasn't allowed to travel to the states. The camp Lucy staff was amazing. Obviously I was crushed, and they were so supportive. They invited us to come and stay at the Honeymoon suite for our original wedding date, making the loss a lot less painful. They treated us with champagne and treats. I'm so thankful for Jennifer and her team. Thank you for the bottom of our hearts. Flash forward a year later, we booked all 40 rooms for our friends and families and had the most amazing time getting married at Sacred Oaks. We rented golf carts and a bus for people to travel on site and everything went amazing. The staff is very well trained, service is impeccable and all of our guests had a great time (except for the broken system at checkin, but the team still managed). At this point, we've tried the estate room, more rustic, but also the English suite which is stunning, and close to the stedman hall where we had our rehearsal dinner, and the terrace suite which is in the middle of everything and is stunning as well! The suites are pricey but really feel like a treat- they are all unique and there is so much to see at every corner, you'll have a great time! We will cherish our memories there forever and we look forward to celebrating every year by going for the weekend. Laura, Jennifer, thank you thank you thank you, we love you! Pro-tip: go for a romantic weekend. If you're not trying to stay the night, during summer they have the pool passes which allow you to hang at their pool and use credit toward their bar and restaurant. Their cocktails are delicious and tillie's dinner is really good (though pricey side).

Yelp
A scenic short 30 minute drive from Austin. We discovered this huge 289 acre property that hosted a work event. We had an amazing lunch at Whit's Inn. On the menu was their signature Caesar Salad with romaine hearts brioche crostini and charred cherry tomatoes. Creamy Mac n cheese with aged cheddar, Jarlsberg and smoked Gouda cheese, Herb and garlic grilled chicken marsala, cremini and oyster mushrooms with a Marsala cream reduction. They offer various activities such as olive oil tasting, archery and hatchet throwing. We tasted 4 different Olive oils and balsamic vinegars made fresh there. Our favorite was the truffle oil and balsamic fig served with Italian bread and various cheeses with Camp Lucy Bending branch wine. It was there Lucy reserve made there at the vineyard. Beautiful and relaxing with great service.

Yelp
I hate to admit this but really the only reason Camp Lucy's Tillie's Restaurant isn't a five in my books is because of the pricing. It makes sense. The drive to Camp Lucy is beautiful. The grounds are breathtaking. The amenities are wonderful. The service at Tillies from the moment you walk in with the hostess greeting you, to her opening the grand doors into the restaurant, to the friendly servers, consistent water servers, generous gift of champagne serving for our anniversary- all top notch. The food changes a little daily but there is a good enough variety that you will find something you will want to discover. Plates are void of sides really. The dish is all inclusive of flavors in one beautiful mound on your plate. ie the Mediterranean Salad was tossed in a light olive oil dressing but had a smear of spicy creamy dressing on the plate underneath the greens that you discover once you start scraping up the smaller morsels. Small to the eyes but big on taste. I left completely satiated. And a little broke. But don't let this keep you from enjoying this gem. The property was named after the mother of the owner (i love that). So make reservations but come early so that you can see the chapel, the biggest oak tree in the county, the imported beautiful woodwork, the absurd views and yes a wonderful though slightly pricey experience at Tillie's. Check out the pics and then go see it for yourself. Hopefully one day I can afford to stay at one of their cabins.

Yelp
Just had a second stay here. We enjoyed the walking trails and dinner outside at Tillie's. This place is lavish, but for the price you experience high touch and high attention to detail in a lovely curated setting.

Yelp
I stayed one night for a weekend getaway and everything was perfect. The rooms look just like the pictures, absolutely gorgeous and spacious. The restaurant by the pool was delicious. The trails were just the right amount of distance and terrain. Loved every bit. Would recommend and will be back. Perfect for a getaway and a wedding.

Yelp
Really nice place - the grounds are well maintained and the rooms were excellent. We didn't do any of the organized (i.e., pay for) activities but did it on our own. I highly recommend the Red trail through the woods for hiking - or just walking around anywhere - then hang out by the pool. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. While pricey, if you're looking for a relaxing weekend I would recommend Camp Lucy.

Yelp
Down a country road in Dripping Springs, you'll find Camp Lucy. Most notably known for it's weddings and beautiful venue spaces, it's also a really stunning, upscale resort. This luxury space features beautifully decorated rooms that are anything but cookie cutter. And the activities are numerous! Just be sure to check the wall of activities in the front office when you check in so you know what's going on during your stay. I HIGHLY recommend: *having dinner at Tillie's *hatchet throwing *archery *yoga *checking out the winery *feeding the alpacas and donkeys *exploring the property on your own It's such a beautiful and relaxing place and I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
If I could rate this 10 stars, I would! We came here to get away for a night for our anniversary, and we are already trying to plan another (longer) stay. The property is gorgeous, the room was spacious and beautifully decorated, and our dinner at Tillie's was impeccable. Thanks for a wonderful experience, Camp Lucy!

Yelp
On a very warm weekend when I was visiting my daughter in Austin, she made brunch reservations for us at Camp Lucy, a very upscale and stunning resort. Camp Lucy is a wonderful large wooded property, just 45 minutes from her home in central Austin. They have beautiful venue spaces and ample parking, perfect for events or weddings. The resort includes an offering of very nice cottages of varying sizes, as well as a lovely restaurant, and great pool. We made reservations for the restaurant for Sunday brunch, followed by pool passes to their lovely pool. There were plenty of chaise lounges and towels, as well as a full bar menu. The passes included credit for drinks and appetizers. We enjoyed their gorgeous grounds, restaurant, and their pool, all afternoon. It was a perfectly lovely day! We will certainly return to enjoy their facilities again, and hopefully one of their great cottages too!

Yelp
I cannot say enough positive things about this resort. From check in to check out, it was wonderful. The staff is beyond friendly, the property exquisite and the rooms are some of the best I have stayed in. We booked the vista king and it did not disappoint. Amazing view and beautiful furnishings. The pool was refreshing and played wonderful relaxing music. Bartender was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed and even offered a signature drink he was working on. We had dinner, lunch and pastries from Tillie's. Excellent! I almost felt like we were the only ones at the resort even though it was full. If I could give 10 stars I would.

Yelp
Gorgeous place. Have been to Tillie's and most recently my company held our holiday party at Whit's Inn. The atmosphere at Whit's Inn was perfect for a small company party. The staff was wonderful, friendly and attentive. The parking was ample. The food was delicious. We had a small buffet and the pork tenderloin was so delicious as was the red wine demi glacé. Loved the mashed potato bar, it was a huge hit. The butterscotch mousse over the brownies for dessert was perfectly sized and a fantastic treat. Thank you for a lovely evening!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I attended a wedding here in December 2017 for his friends and the venue was absolutely beautiful! The outdoor chapel area and the dining hall at Ian's Chapel had a great layout and it was nice that everything was in close proximity. It actually ended up raining when we were here, but it didn't take away from the beauty of this location. We hung out with the wedding party at the end of the night and it was convenient that they stayed in cabins that were within walking distance. There was also a central fire pit area where we all hung out and warmed up at. We enjoyed brunch at Whit's Inn on Sunday morning following the wedding and the food was delicious! I especially enjoyed the egg migas and their cheese spread. There were some cute and fuzzy alpacas near the parking lot area and we took some time to see them and take pictures with.

Yelp
I booked this venue to host my parents 50th wedding anniversary. We just celebrated at Tillies restaurant last night! Camp Lucy went above and beyond to welcome my parents with a celebration package and an employee greeter who explained all about the Camp Lucy property and history, something my parents really loved learning about! The Terrace Suite was way more than I expected! But it's online pictures on the website do represent it well. It was fabulous! Lovely front room which was cozy, beautiful doors leading to a fantastic bedroom and a bathroom that was top tier! My parents were thrilled to be there and they didn't want to leave! So happy we could spoil them with the help of Camp Lucy for this momentous occasion!

Yelp
This place is amazing with so much history, things to do on-site and things locally. It's Texas Hill Country Resort with an amazing, quaint accommodations that feel private, cozy and homey! There are so many miles to hike and explore, an amazing pool, and Tillie's which is a 5 star restaurant with a changing menu. It's family and pet friendly too.

Yelp
Fun experience if you have kids and visual fun for adults to see. The "secret" part of the store ads mystery and as a kid I would have loved this. (Still thought it was beautifully done as an adult)

Yelp
I love this concept and this place. Like kids camp layout of rooms, but really nicely done. It's quiet, beautiful and what you'd expect out of the hill country. However, I'm disappointed in the $20 breakfast buffet. The last thing I'd ever expect out of this venue is fake or boxed eggs. I highly recommend a quick getaway with your significant other and then drive 15 minutes into town for a nice breakfast. I'd give it 4 stars if it was an omelet station or something. I get this breakfast when I travel and stay at travel properties.

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful staff, beautiful facility, AMAZING FLORALS (Hannah!!!!) ALL with excellent service. We LOVED having our daughter and son in law's ceremony at Sacred Oaks. The food is all restaurant grade food, not your average wedding catered food. The tasting experience was my favorite part of all the wedding planning. DO NOT SIGN the ROOM BLOCK form for the cabins on property UNTIL you have confirmed who can stay for 1 night on property- YOU'RE locked into paying for rooms. We did LOVE staying on property, the rooms are INCREDIBLE and all of our family did too. We will be back to stay again and enjoy Tilly's amazing food. This place is a gem!!! They are the best at their game! Make this a must for venue shopping and have lunch at Tilly's.

Yelp
Updated response: We had separate confirmation emails for both nights, so only one party didn't have confirmation. Again everyone, double check your reservation and CALL to triple check if you make any reservation changes.

Yelp
Absolutely stunning and the perfect quarantine getaway. We stayed one night in one of the estate rooms with our dog and the resort itself was so accommodating. We were kindly greeted with a glass of wine from their just harvested vineyard onsite. We hiked the property and through the vineyard, which we had to ourselves. We spent some time by the pool and had plenty of space. There were sign ups for time slots to ensure COVID safety. We made s'mores in the evening and drank wine by the fire pit. An absolutely stunning room and soaking tub, couldn't have been better. I wish we'd stay longer and will definitely be returning.

Yelp
Grounds are nice - the rooms are meh... they don't take care of their faucets. Lots of build up I'm sure. They spray all over the place, you'll have to turn it on slowly and low. Also the shower rainfall was shooting in every direction! Didn't fall straight down like it's suppose too. The air conditioning is horrible.

Yelp
I had a mixed experience with CL. First the bad: We toured the venue just before covid hit the US. our sales person, Jennifer Gaines, gave a wonderful tour and promised us a quick lunch at Tillie's after before we left for another venue tour. She said she could fit us in and we could be super quick. Well, after waiting about 30 minutes at the restaurant, they let us know that their brunch was a 2-hour experience and could not be shortened. It seemed Jennifer didn't have much clue what was true. Additionally, she said there were tons of places to stay in the area but could give us none. We should've spotted these red flags. Throughout the rest of our planning process, Jennifer was unresponsive and hard to reach. About halfway through, we had to change our plans due to the pandemic and ended up moving our wedding up and making it tiny, for the safety of everyone. My planner had called her four times and left voicemails, and finally my father got her on the phone and got our new plans confirmed. After that, things seemed a bit cold on their end, as if they were upset we changed our plans (due to a global pandemic) and they were now making less money off us. For starters, they tried keeping us tied to a contract to pay a HUGE minimum, even though we'd have about 160 people less and would be at a smaller venue, half the price of the original. Once my planner got a hold of them and negotiated, they finally gave us a more reasonable price. This treatment was frustrating given the fact we had to give up our dream wedding plans. Jennifer also seemed very snakey, as if all she cared about was the sale and she was willing to say anything to make one. Now the good: Aside from her unprofessionalism and poor communication, our account manager Alex Puryear was great. She was super helpful all around and helped make our day come to life. The wedding itself turned out beautiful. I have no complaints about our day. The service was great and the food was delicious. The venue was gorgeous, thanks to some help from Whim. We had also stayed on the property the two days leading up to our big day, and it was very nice. The cottages were beautiful, comfortable, and perfect for a wedding party. We got to feed and pet donkeys and llamas. And Tillies was delicious and beautiful for our rehearsal. It was a wonderful stay and our wedding was great. I'd definitely come back!

Yelp
This review is from September, 2021. I believe I had posted it, but apparently I didn't.** SO DISSAPOINTING! If I could give negative stars, I would! My husband and I fell in love with the venue when we went to visit, and knew we wanted to get married here. We scheduled for an availability they had open in 3 months. After around week 2 (after we signed our contract), our emails, calls, and any form of contact were repeatedly ignored. Our Account manager Alex (be prepared to pay a hefty "Administrative fee" on EVERYTHING, we ended up spending over a grand on this alone!) was always "out of the office" or "away from the phone", so we had a huge delay on getting the ball rolling, and it never got any better. When we finally contacted her manager Jennifer a few weeks before the wedding, she seemed like she would take care of things, but then dismissed our case without ever really looking into it, and assigned Alex back to us. If the lack of communication and professionalism was the worst of it, I would have had a much better review to give. The costs were outrageous for what we were getting. We ended up paying for a lot of extras and additional staffing fees for a wedding of an expected 50 people. We are a young couple and wanted to try and stick to a budget, but Camp Lucy made that extremely hard! For those looking to have a wedding on a budget, this is NOT the place for you!! We spent more than $14,000 out of our $23,000 budget at this Venue alone. Despite a lot of extra crap we had to deal with from Camp Lucy, we were hoping to put that behind us and look forward to our big day, but when the day of our wedding arrived, it was so disappointing, I wanted to cry. When we first got there, the wedding from the day before had not been cleaned up, the groom and bridal suite were both trashed and had not been sanitized, and there was a bunch of left over furniture from the night before. Later I found out that Alex, although she was there when we arrived, up and disappeared for the majority of the morning, leaving my husband to try and get the staff to move the furniture, clean up, and do their jobs. The majority wouldn't listen to him since Alex wasn't there. When my mother arrived, she had to track Alex down, and tell her to do her job. From there until the Ceremony, everything was speeding up and things were being dealt with by the groom and the mother of the bride, mainly. After our ceremony, we went to get photos done during cocktail hour. There were also wasps everywhere. I, and a few of my guests, are deathly allergic, and we were never notified! They ended up swarming the guests during cocktail hour. We ended up having only 30ish people show up sadly, but even with that many people, EVERYONE GOT FOOD POISINING. I found out later that the food was put out on the buffet table around noon, and the reception wasn't until 6pm! Due to this, we spent the whole night on the toilet. After the Wedding, when we contacted the venue, we spoke with the sales manager who assured us we would be reimbursed. We weren't expecting anything big, but given that the catering gave everyone food poising, we had hoped for a slight reimbursement on that. I tried calling more than 10 times since our wedding, and was finally told "We don't give refunds", despite what we were told by the sales manager. Overall it was so chaotic and unnecessarily stressful, it absolutely ruined our big day. I would never recommend Camp Lucy to anyone who is looking for decent customer service on a budget. If you do go with them, find a great day of coordinator in advance.

Yelp
Camp Lucy is such a unique gem. The boyfriend and I booked one night to celebrate his birthday and ended up staying two nights because we love it so much here. There's a happy birthday card and a bottle of complimentary champagne waiting for us in the room. Wow, did not expect that. We had a "tree top" room and it was very nice and new. It's a space where none of the details were missed and all the fixtures were high quality. It's also very calming to sit at the patio and stare out into trees and wild grass. I was going into the trip stressed from work and brought my work laptop "just in case". Well, I never open my laptop because the property instantly transformed me into calm and I had unknowingly detached from work. Perhaps it's middle of the week and school had started. We nearly had the pool to ourselves. Yes, there's drink and food service at the swim up pool. We also did their hiking trails and visited the beautiful on-site vineyard. Wish they have wine tasting at the vineyard. This is a relaxation place, not a party place (thank god), they have quiet hours starting at 10pm. We also spent time at the nearby Dripping Springs town for coffee and shopping and did a couple wine tastings in the surrounding area. Perfect quick get-away that's only 40mins from Austin. So close and yet a world away. Thank you.

Yelp
So my wife and I decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary and stroll down memory lane from when we got married at Camp Lucy in 2015 by going back as a quick getaway. It's a wonderful property, but unfortunately, the experience was significantly diminished with a few details: ROOM - We stayed in one of the original cottages and the room is as nice as it was 7 years ago. Very spacious with amenities you'd expect in a 5-star hotel. BUT, the air conditioner could not keep up at all! Even over night when the outside temperature dipped to the low 80s, the temperature in the room was very uncomfortable (probably didn't get below 79-80) and neither of us got a good night's sleep at all. POOL - Nice pool with a swim up bar. Very hard working yet novice (slow) bar tender who appeared overwhelmed with also having to replenish towels and pick up around all the lounge areas. They also sell day passes Sun-Thu, which makes for an overcrowded pool with kids doing cannon balls all afternoon. The pool area is relatively small and really only big enough to accommodate guests. We had to sit at the bar because all the loungers were taken. RESTAURANT - Amazing dinner which could hold its own against the best restaurants in any major city. We were excited to see how great breakfast would be, BUT it was horrible (no exaggeration). Think the free breakfast at a 2-star motel, but paying $20. Mediocre scrambled eggs, pre-cooked microwaved sausage (no bacon), and potatoes, which were not very hot. Pastries were on par with what you find at a grocery store. Unfortunately, we ended our stay with a bad taste (of breakfast) in our mouths.

Yelp
I've been to Camp Lucy twice now for an off-site work retreat. We work out of the Whit's Inn for the day and it's just such a lovely space. Much bigger than we need, I still enjoy the conference set up they provide with access to a projector and screen. The staff are so kind and helpful and the food is fantastic. This time we were able to enjoy the outdoor space including the back deck for lunch and the fields across the way to pet some Alpacas and donkeys. Just that alone should be reason to come here over a dark hotel conference room. I was also able to enjoy their bridal suite to get some work done. Super cozy and a great addition to the space.

Yelp
Went to a wedding here and stayed in the cabins. The rooms are SO NICE. Like rustic cabins and the bathrooms were stunning. Clay rubs and sinks and a big open shower. The grounds were great the ceremony and reception places were both clean and well kept up. The bridal suite we got ready in was a little small but overall cute set up with lots of mirrors and places to get ready. Would totally recommend for a wedding. They have multiple places on the venue to have the ceremony or reception. Staff was very nice and helpful for the wedding. We had mimosas brought to us in the bridal suite.

Yelp
For our first venture out of the house since COVID started, this was pretty disappointing. We have stayed here many times over the past two years, and each time the experience has become more and more disappointing. Don't get me wrong, the rooms, property, and decor are beautiful (hence the 3 stars). Nightly cost is pretty expensive, and it used to include all of the activities (alpaca feeding, archery, axe throwing, etc). Now there is a $20/person charge for each guided activity. We decided to forgo paying $40 total to feed alpacas, and instead take a hike around the vineyard, but as we arrived up there to the vineyard entrance, the gate was closed. So we went to the pool, where the male bartender was barely wearing his mask (the woman was great and kept it on for the entire afternoon). He only put it all the way on when someone new would walk up. They did not have most of the food listed on the Tillie's menu when we tried to order for room service, not to mention trying to get anyone on the phone took 20-30 minutes in itself. The bed in the vista room had massive indents from over use, and my husband and I kept rolling towards each other into the middle divot. When I talked to the front desk about the concerns, I just got an "I'm so sorry about that". Just such a bummer, as this used to be one of our favorite staycation properties.

Yelp
Camp Lucy is like the Disneyland of wedding venues; every little detail has been painstakingly designed and thoughtfully constructed to yield a seamless and magical experience. As wedding photographers, there are few venues we LOVE to photograph as much as Camp Lucy. Photo opportunities abound and there's no shortage of beautiful locations on the grounds, either with Sacred Oaks or Ian's Chapel. The bridal suites at both Sacred Oaks and Ian's Chapel (the cottage) are spacious with lots of bright wonderful light. (Great for makeup and hair, as well as photos.) The ceremony cite options are perfect, and you simply can't go wrong, whether you want the shade of the Sacred Oaks amphitheater, the old world beautify of Ian's Chapel or the beautiful hill country view offered by the overlook nearby, anything you choose is going to be great. The reception halls are simple, large, and unadorned. As photographers, we love the leading lines and symmetry that can make excellent backgrounds for couples' first dances. As beautiful as the buildings are, the grounds surrounding the venues are also gorgeous. When the wildflowers are blooming in particular, there are many great colorful opportunities. Even without wildflowers, the sunset and light filtering through the large trees can create magical images. I think we could shoot at Camp Lucy every weekend for a year and not run out of new ideas and locations to shoot. As far as photography goes, if you choose Camp Lucy and invest in professional photography to capture its splendor, you cannot go wrong. Highly recommended.

Yelp
This lovely spot manages to be authentic and hip at the same time. Cabins are well appointed in beautiful Texas hill country setting. Eat at Tillies on the grounds, and walk the trails! Helpful staff. A plus!

Yelp
This layout of the camp is astounding and so beautiful. It's my first day in dripping springs and this is the first stop for a wedding. We witnessed the union under a canopy of trees that you would only imagine in a Disney story book or movie. The greenery blocked all the sun but allowed romantic lighting as it has just rained a bit. It was perfect. It was off the beaten path and surrounded by a creek and allowed the birds to chirp melodically as the wedding was going on. It was truly a magical moment to witness.

Yelp
A short pleasant drive from Austin Texas. There are various cabin-cottage rooms and event area on grounds. Plenty of parking and maps for directions around the area. The rooms are large and inviting. A kitchenette, large bedroom area and large oversized bathroom with shower and bathtub. Room was set at a good comfortable temperature with season weather in mind. Beds were comfortable and fell right asleep when it was the end of our day. Everything was well kept. The event center has a nice outdoor area for the wedding we attended. Plenty of picture opportunities outside and inside the building. The decor fits Texas country side well. Overall impressed by the conditions of the grounds, rooms, and event facilities. Would love to try out the restaurant and other amenities the next time through.

Yelp
My Son was married there & they really have to work on their room organizing in booking. We had to change rooms from a king bed the first evening to a two bed room the second evening (3 people in our party) We were made to check out immediately at 11 the first night & weren't able to have our 2nd room ready to close to 5pm. Since the wedding was at 1:30 at another location we just kinda hung out in out nice cloths with nothing to do. After a long day of wedding etc, we then had to unload everything again into our new room & again we're not permitted a later checkout. It felt like a lot of money to spend not even 24 hrs in for the price you pay per night.

Yelp
We found this place on our way to Fredericksburg from Houston. It was awesome and such a beautiful setting. Totally stop if you see it you will not regret it! It's off the road a bit but you won't regret this one. Food was great, you may need a reservation but we came and we were good. We all loved it.

Yelp
Fresh home from our little vacation getaway at Camp Lucy. Only 23 miles from my house and felt like a real getaway. We went during the week figuring weekends would be more busy. Not sure how the weekends are and if there are weddings during the pandemic. We stayed 2 nights in our fancy little cabin. Our room was equipped with mini fridge and microwave so we had the perfect place for our snacks. We got up at 4 am to lay on the great lawn and watch the meteor shower. The grounds and architecture are breathtaking! We fed the donkeys and alpacas, twice. Laid at the pool all day every day. The food from Tillie's served at the pool was all yummy! If you're looking for a safe and beautiful getaway this is the place! It's very clean and The staff wears mask all the time. There is also a nightly fire and the benches are spaced a good distance apart. We were blessed with the perfect weather even on a July night so we could enjoy the s'mores Kit we got in the office. Food and drinks at the pool are reasonably priced too. I assume Matt is the GM and he was everywhere from the pool to Tillie's and was really attentive and informative. I hope someday when life is back to normal I get invited to a wedding here.
