My wife and I came here on a Sunday afternoon to bring our dog and try some new food. She ended up getting the Yard Bird and her chicken was beyond burnt, the sandwich itself was dry and they were out of pickles. I ordered the grilled cheese which was edible - however, I did not expect a giant slab of cheese on top. The menu itself had so many items marked as not available. The real reason we came was to treat our dog - and they were out of all dog food items and offered us a pup cup instead. The campfires were not lit and the tables were grimey. We wanted this to be our new Sunday spot, but after this experience, we won’t be returning.

My kids and sister's fam joined us around 2:30 or so on a Monday afternoon. The place was pretty empty, although a few families showed up as we were leaving. The building is shared on one side with Yard Bar (with a dog park attached) and just the kitchen inside, and outside they had covered and open seating, tvs, picnic tables, lounge chairs, fire tables, a playground, mini golf, and a small turfed soccer area. The outside area was mostly upkept although I think it was starting to look a little unkept, parking was plenty, and they had a station to bus your own dishes and get water. The food was decent overall- we ordered the Yard Bird, Firestarter Burger, All Nighter, and Lil' Campers (Kids) Chicken Tenders & Burger, as well as a Cappuccino. I took off a star for the following reasons. The guy working the window didn't seem at all interested in answering my questions about the menu and the place, but when I just stood there and waited for him to give a satisfactory answer he went to find someone to ask. When I received my Yard Bird, the chicken was fried to a dark brown, so I went back up and asked about it. I didn't get much of an answer so I asked a few different ways i.e. "Is it supposed to be this burned", " Does it usually look like this", "Do y'all cook it a certain way because fried chicken doesn't usually look like this", etc. His response was "I don't know, what do you want me to say?" He finally asked the cook and said the fryer had "temped out" because it was the end of a long weekend. He did not offer to replace it, just get me something different off the menu. We settled on me trying it and then bringing it back up if I didn't like it. I went to sit back down and ate the chicken sandwich (oh also my kids' tenders weren't dark brown- see pics) and it was fine enough. The guy did come by while bringing something else out for someone else and asked if it was okay so at least he checked in. The bathroom was also pretty gross and could definitely use a cleaning. Overall I would return because our littles had fun and it's a fun vibe, but the service and food could use some improvement.

The burgers are delicious with amazing beers on tap. Going during the sunset and getting a smores kit as a dessert is the best way to end the evening! Highly recommend!

This restaurant is attached to the dog bar. I guess that may be obvious, but we did not realize. Overall, food and drinks were pretty good. They had some nice outdoor fire pits and play place/turfed area.

Beers are great! Food is meh. Playground is lovely. If camp out could muster some real veggie options and add human soft serve to their menu we’d be there once a week!

Holy smokes! So happy this place has food again! Not only that best menu ever. My dog Lucy absolutely loves the Pup Sliders. Personally the All Nighter burger is my favorite. The burger patty itself is sourced from 44 Farms, that makes a huge difference in the quality. Gouda cheese BBQ sauce, garlic aeoli, and grilled onions. YUM!! Another big plus the bar offers Pinthouse Training Bines IPA on draft all the time. Being a little burnt out on Electric Jellyfish it’s refreshing to have another super solid IPA from Pinthouse on draft.

The dog side was fun and the workers there were great. But the food side of the business needs some work. Very immature service from the staff. Rude and inconsiderate. Food was cold. Wait was long even with no other guests getting food. You would expect they could offer the bare minimum but they seem to hate their jobs. Eye rolls galore. Probably should have known the food side was subpar as everyone was on dog side vs food side. A lot of better places to go in ATX if you have a dog. Also, online menu is apparently out of date. Were out of most items on their menu with everything out on their dog menu. The menu board on their building had a lot of items covered up with tape when we got there. Overall, disappointing experience.

Best experience! The burger was juicy. The fries crispy. And the salad cold. Went with a group for lunch and it’s a perfect atmosphere for friends and family. Thanks Zak for the hospitality, too!

Yelp
Variety of food for both your furry animal and your self! Service was nice and easy with helpful workers! There's a dog park where you can let them run around or there's another side where you can have them leashed and sit with them!

Yelp
Recently, my husband and I went to Camp Out for lunch. It was very good, fresh and fast. We got the grilled vegetables with hummus, and for me, that was the best dish. My husband got a burger with fries and enjoyed it. We also shared a trio plate which was queso, guacamole, and salsa. The patio has shade and TVs with the college football games on. There is a playground for kids and putt-putt holes. Everyone there was friendly, and the food came out quickly. The drink menu and on-tap beers were on point as well. We will be back for sure.

Yelp
We just tried this new dog park in town called camp out at yard bar and we love it. It's 9 bucks for a day pass and they have a bar and restaurant that served food with a bunch of veggie options. We were able to have drinks inside the dog park. They have a selection of Austin beers on tap (as well as your standard canned brews) and mocktails for those that aren't drinking. Our dog enjoyed running around the park with around 10-15 other dogs over the course of a few hours. It's a nice ambiance, with a bunch of picnic tables and string lights. We ordered our food at the window and we exited the dog park to get our food. There are plenty of options for vegetarians for entrees that aren't just salads which we love and multiple options for the dogs as well! We ended up getting the fries which were super fresh and the Brussels which were buttery and garlicky. Our pup devoured his pupcakes and chicken meatballs. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
This place recently opened right behind yard bar and is dog friendly! I loved the camp/smores/fire pit vibes especially during this time of year. There's also a little mini golf game with one hole and a playground for the kiddos. The food here is very basic american type bar food: burgers, tacos, brussels sprouts, etc. Nothing that we were super amazed about. I think it's mostly for the vibes and taking your dog to hang out with friends. I do really appreciate the dog bowls everywhere for water and keeping the dogs hydrated but also a few menu items that are specifically dedicated to the pups.

Yelp
We loved Camp out. The tables are covered which is nice and the playground is shaded by a tree as well. The food was delicious and everything came out timely. The service/staff was great!

Yelp
Maybe dine in is better but my take out experience wasn't great my friend enjoyed his burger but I got the salad and added fried chicken for the price it was super average and the fried chicken was cold on top of the salad. I would maybe try eating in person next time but for take out was definitely below average especially for the price!

Yelp
This is such a fun spot to bring your family and for family! We love bringing our dog to the yard bar next-door first and afterwards enjoy a burger! The only thing I recommend is asking for your fries to be crisper!

Yelp
terrible terrible. waited for an hour, rude service, my partner was finished with her food before I got mine, and the burger was completely raw, not rare, raw.
