My meal(s) at Camp Outpost was probably the best food I had on my trip that included a stop in Las Vegas. Absolutely generous portions that came out fast and fresh. The sausage plate and chicken sandwich were both downright delectable and the service was also top notch and friendly. Unfortunately I was so excited to eat my food that I failed to photograph it but I did grab some pics of the sunset from the patio so that's another 5 stars for atmosphere. I'm just sad we discovered this gem on our last night in Springdale but hope to return and explore the menu more on a future trip. Definitely make this a stop on your culinary tour of Zion.

Very casual, but really good. Parking is available, but kinda limited if busy. No problem getting a table when we dropped in on a sunday around 5pm. Modified table service where you place your order at the counter then they bring it out. Our group had the combo salad (really good), baja shrimp tacos (loved it), camp burger (you can't screw up a burger) and i had the sausage platter (all 3 different links were great, but chimmichurri sauce could have been stronger) + we started with some fried pickles and these were really tasty. A couple ice Teas and a couple waters and our bill was right at $100. Didn't seem too bad for a pretty good meals right outside of Zion National park.

After a long hike through the Narrows we stopped at The Camp Outpost Co and it was the perfect choice. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and it was cooked to perfection. The breading was light and crispy without being too heavy, and the arugula and pickled onions added such a fresh balance. The brioche bun tied it all together. I got the sweet potato fries on the side and the honey glaze they use worked so well with the sandwich giving that salty and sweet combo that just hits. We also shared the brussel sprouts and fried pickles. The brussel sprouts had a nice crisp and good sauce but the honey mustard they came with just did not pair well in my opinion. On the other hand the fried pickles were awesome, flaky, not too salty, and paired perfectly with their ranch. Lastly, the high mountain huckleberry, you have to get this drink. It is a MUST - that huckleberry flavor is awesome. My wife ordered the half chicken and it was incredible. The chicken was super moist and the chimichurri with the Yukon potatoes made it even better. Such a good mix of flavors and a great meal to end the day. Overall this was the perfect stop after hiking and I would definitely recommend it if you are in Zion.

Had a nice outdoor lunch here before going out to Zion. The view from their patio is gorgeous. Note the parking lot is before the restaurant if it is on your right side, we easily missed it. Parking is not abundant and there is a one hour limit. The service was neither good nor bad. You order at the counter and they bring you your food and drinks. No greeting, no smiles, nobody checks on you. I like that they brought us jugs of water. Ice would have been ideal given the almost 100 degree weather. Food took a while to come out but that's okay. I got their roasted pork entree. The pork was slightly dry and needed salt, but the chimichurri helped with flavor. The kale under it was fantastic!! The grits it came with were okay. It wasn't giving "grits" but more like a dry rice. The burger was good, we ordered it plain with just sauce and it was a good size and the beef was flavorful. We also got the kids chicken tenders and they were actually very delicious and tasted fresh. My one year old daughter loved the fries. Overall it's a nice lunch spot with great views. I would consider returning again on my next Zion visit.

Google
My 9 year old insisted on me writing a review for this unassuming delish spot. My kids both got the burger (which turned out to be a double!) and couldn’t get enough. The meat was very good. Ask for a side of their camp sauce for dipping fries…it’s better than thousand island. Some allergy notes: not super df friendly. Had to pay extra for a gluten free bun because burgers are on a buttery brioche.

Google
This is a counter service restaurant offering a good selection of Southwest food and drinks. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is indoor and outdoor seating available. The parking lot next door offers free one hour parking for restaurant customers.

Came here in June on a hot hot afternoon. We were seated right away. Food was served in a timely manner. We were exhausted after hiking angels landing. It was everything we needed- a nice cold beer, a lovely meal, and a friendly server.

Google
The food came out super fast made wonder how much love was put into it. Lol the fried pickles were tasty and the chicken sandwich decent but basic. The experience was ok, it seemed lonely, no vibe. For the price I would expect the food to be made with more heart, it seemed premade and soulless and the atmosphere to have more life to it.

Yelp
The food was pretty good, large portions (especially the kids meals), and they offered healthy options! I'd dine here again on a trip to Zion, for sure. My husband and I enjoyed our salads and our kids happily munched on burgers and fries and grilled cheese. The patio was awesome to eat on. The bathroom facilities were decent as was the service; not overly nice, but not terrible. (For parents of little ones, there was no changing table available here, at least in the restroom we used).

Yelp
A solid option for post hike food that has more than just burgers. We arrived for a late lunch from Zion and there was plenty of seating, indoors and outdoors. You order and then get seated at a table with your number. They have a menu of burgers, salads, sandwiches, tacos, and rotisserie chicken. We opted for the half chicken with potatoes and arugula, which was filling for two people who are not huge eaters; the arugula was mixed into the potatoes. The sweet potato hummus and veggies/pita bread was also quite refreshing and good. There's an hour free parking in a private lot. Right after this spot there are a string of souvenir shops, outdoor gear places and other restaurants. Service was good and fast.

Yelp
The chicken cobb salad was filling and flavorful with very fresh veggies. It came with some french bread, which was a nice touch. The outdoor patio had great views with unassuming and upbeat music. I dropped a star for the 3% addition to all charges for "increased costs" (see the sign at the register). I in no way dispute what inflation has done to small businesses, or a need to pass the cost to consumers. Adding a 3% charge is less straight forward and less transparent, though, than just increasing menu prices directly by 3%. If they just raised their prices by 3% as reflected in the menu cost, I would not be deducting a star.

Yelp
We stopped by here on our way out of Zion on a weekday dinner and it wasn't busy at all. Ordered a burger, fried chicken sandwich, and drinks. Both entrees came with a side of fries. We really liked both dishes but I think the fried chicken sandwich was a little better with the pickled onions and sauce. The whole meal was super filling and fresh. The prickly pear margarita was okay but I would probably just grab a beer next time - more refreshing! I recommend grabbing a seat outside and enjoying the view. Parking lot was very small and there were only a couple spots left even on a non busy day but I did see some paid street parking outside. Overall it was a nice quick dinner!

Yelp
Great location, great options, friendly service. Modern cafe style -- walk up to counter to order, then find a table. They bring the food out and cleanup after. There are plenty of tables inside the dining room with large windows all around to enjoy the views from within the AC. But there are also nice tables on the patio outside. The burgers were surprisingly delicious... restaurant quality with the flavor of a guilty pleasure greasy bar burger (but this one is not at all greasy). Salads and sandwiches in the party were all great, and after a long hike it all hit the spot. If you're staying at the adjacent Dessert Pearl Inn, there's a little discount. The drinks are a little weak, but not really surprised about that, they still tasted good. Overall, a great find. I'd definitely come back.

Yelp
Things to know before you go- 1) This is a counter service restaurant. 2) 3% additional feee is added to prices posted. 3) food is great! I had the grain salad. While it was great, there was a little too much dressing. I'd ask for it on the side. Also there was supposed to be to be cauliflower... I think I saw a chunk of cauliflower that looked like a small chunk of cheese. Also- it was super light on most of the fixings except the greens and quinoa. Don't get me wrong, I think it might be the best salad in Springdale, but it's not made as advertised.

Yelp
We had lunch at camp outpost after visiting Zion national park. Look through various places to eat and this sounded really good. The inside of the restaurant was clean and was very nice. The staff was friendly and the manager was great. My dad needed to recharge a battery for a mobile scooter and the manager was very helpful in getting things put together so he could charge the battery. We had a hamburger and fries, was very good. I would definitely recommend eating at this restaurant in Springdale.

Yelp
I still dream about this chicken! We liked this place so much we came here two days in a row. The first after a long day in the narrows. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and my partner ordered the pork sandwich. Both were exceptional and we saw a lot of people eating the chicken there which inspired me to go the next day! After a day hiking angels landing we split the hummus which was super fresh and a full chicken. The chicken was super juicy and came with very fresh potato's and arugula. It was very large and definitely more than enough for two! Service is great here and they have indoor and outdoor seating and drinks. Very chill vibes but great food at a great price!

Yelp
I thought the food was absolutely delicious. I ordered their chicken sandwich. I was surprised to see how empty it was when we arrived. After looking at the menu, then I saw it was a bit pricey. The service was incredible. The employee Trent went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and satisfied with our meal. They have a lot of outdoor patio seating, clean bathrooms, and interesting drinks.

Yelp
Had lunch here after a long day hiking in Zion National Park. Free parking right next to the restaurant. We had the bacon cheeseburger, sausage plate, and quarter chicken. See the pics for details of food. All were great-although we were starving and anything would be welcome. Sat outside at picnic tables in the 75 degree sunshine. Order at the counter and they bring it out. Had a draft beer, lemonade, and a margarita. The drinks were good except the lemonade which was too sour. Lunches run about $19 each. Staff were very friendly and quick. We'd definitely go back. The restaurant is located about a half mile from the south entrance to the park. They also serve breakfast until 11:00 am.

Yelp
We ordered the whole chicken rotisserie and it was amazing. It was very flavorful and juicy. We ordered house lemonade and huckleberry lemonade. Definitely recommending huckleberry lemonade. Great service as well! Love how they have mists out in the patio during summer.

Yelp
My favorite restaurant in springdale! the food here is solid. We stopped by here after finishing a 12 miles hike in the narrows so we were HUNGRY. the portions are really big and the mac n cheese was full of flavor. I got the rotisserie chicken and my boyfriend got the burger, and we sat outside the patio to enjoy the stunning views. The service was very friendly and we felt very welcomed here! We liked the food so much we came back the next morning for breakfast-- this time I got the overnight oats. It was perfectly sweet and the granola on top added the best texture. Definitely a great place to stop for food before/after hikes.

Yelp
If you're looking for a solid meal after a day of adventuring stop by Camp Outpost. Years later and I still think about this meal along with the view. The food was amazing, the service was great, and the view was the cherry on top.

Yelp
I'm not one to write negative reviews but I just need to share my disappointment coming here. First we ordered some drinks somehow a Moscow mule had no alcohol and somehow they messed up putting a salt rim on a drink that I requested to have a sugar rim on it wasn't a big deal but then the food came The food arrived my chicken was BURNT the driest chicken I've ever had no flavor at all the only saving grace was the potatoes. The club was decent but not worth it at all overall the only thing I enjoyed was the fried pickles which we also paid for extra ranch and didn't get it. The service was fine our servers were very kind and it was very cute inside Not worth it

Yelp
We were pleasantly surprised by this spot! Came with low expectations for food in the area as a whole because of it being a tourist town, but Camp Outpost was so good we went two nights in a row. My boyfriend loved the burger! It was crispy on the edges and flavorful. The half rotisserie chicken was moist and the potato medley underneath was SO delicious. I was not expecting such punchy flavors from an order at the counter restaurant. The pork loin was super good paired with the cheesy grits-- pork was a bit dry but I would get it again as the dish overall was tasty. Nothing beats the views from their outside seating.

Yelp
We had just finished hiking Angel's Landing and were starving, so we checked Yelp and saw this place--it looked super cool, so we decided to give it a try for dinner. The reviews and pictures make everything taste so good! I ordered the prickly pear drink (which was so good!) and went with the quarter chicken since the cashier mentioned it's one of their popular items. The food came out fast, and surprisingly there was no one inside. The chicken was under season and I wasn't happy that I spent $16 on it. Honestly don't think we will be back! I had high expectations because the place looks so fun!!

Yelp
After hiking The Narrows at Zion we were starving. Camp Outpost was #2 on Yelp so we figured we would give it a try. They are located 4mins away from Zion visitors station. Lots of free parking and though they're quite busy, we didn't have any problems getting a table. It seemed that a lot of people do take out. My honest rating would be a 3.5 but since the workers were so nice and Yelp doesn't do half stars, I was generous and gave them a 4. The crispy Brussels sprouts were not too crispy and the honey mustard was a little more tangy compared to what I'm used to. The rotisserie chicken had a nice flavor of the outside but the breast was a little dry and lacked flavor. The burgers and fries were good and fresh but lacked salt. The milkshake was yummy. They are card only and they add a living wage surcharge of 3%.
google avatar

Laura T.

Yelp
We came to Camp on our first night in Zion and the food really tasty! We got the whole chicken and shard the Mexican salad. The salad was just okay but the chicken had great flavor, was moist and the tanginess of the arugula salad underneath with the creamy potatoes was fantastic. However, breakfast left much to be desired. We thought that if dinner was so tasty, then breakfast would surely be on par. Sadly it wasn't super flavorful, the service was pretty average and the coffee wasn't very good. It was honestly a miss all the way around for breakfast which is too bad. It left a poor taste in our mouths (pun intended haha) even though dinner was actually fine. So definitely come for dinner but skip breakfast!

Yelp
The food ambience and service of this establishment cannot be beat. I love that they have misters on the patio for the really hot days and lots of shade. The service is incredible the people who work here are so cheerful and helpful and making choices and that you're comfortable. I always checked on us and refilled our Waters and brought us lots of ice. We love for their cucumber and prickly pear margaritas, the rotisserie chicken is incredible the skin is so crispy and delicious and the meat is moist and just some of the best rotisserie chicken I've ever had. I also really love the salad that was served with it. We came back the next day and tried the burger and the fried chicken sandwich and I honestly don't know what I could leave behind during another visit. I asked my husband if he could only order one thing which could it be and he couldn't decide and neither could I. Oh and I almost forgot but the fried pickles should not be missed either.

Yelp
This is a long pending review. I didn't want to miss posting this as i enjoyed the food so much here. Best place near zion national park for nice food after a good hike. They are absolutely helpful to modify most of the options in their menu to make it vegetarian friendly apart from thier already available vegetarian options. We tried impossible burger from direct veggie option - Amazing yum came with fries Sub impossible patty for Crispy shrimp flatbread - it was yum too Mission salad - super good Mountain huckleberry - sooo good. Also thier fries are the best fries i have ever had so far. Overall awesome place with casual ambiance. And to add it is always crowded. ;)

Yelp
What a little gem in Zion. Everything we ordered was delicious! The space is very clean and cool, staff was very nice. For starters we tried the Brussels and sweet potato hummus. The Brussels were yummy, the sweet potato hummus needed more flavor, maybe more salt? It was okay. My main was the rotisserie chicken with chimichirru and crispy potatoes, this was excellent, chicken was stander and moist, loved it. The camp burger was awesome with the two thin crispy patties, great brioche bun, great burger. The fried chicken sandwich was great too, good quality ingredients you can tell! The crispy shrimp flatbread wrap was great. Sweet potato fries are excellent! You can't go wrong here!

Yelp
Food: Fine. Nothing special at all. Price: steep- not a super big surprise in such a tourist town but we had dinner for two adults and two kids for just under $100 and it was just burgers. Service: it is ordering at a counter and they bring you food. Not my favorite type of restaurant at all. Space: we were inside and I wasn't impressed. Overall you are not going to be blown away unless you are starving or know what you are getting into.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to get a veggie burger! The veggie burger with fries plus camp sauce and prickly pear lemonade is my go to. Great after a hike! Huge relief that they added the parking lot. Sometimes the service is super fast and friendly, especially considering I live not far away, other times I feel like they aren't friendly and the price seems to go out every time I go there. That's disappointing. Regardless I will still keep coming back because the location and that it's not a black bean or garden patty. There are restrooms and the view is very nice. Overall I like the aesthetic. A couple times they gave me a discount since I live nearby but other times not. I appreciated when they did since I'm not a tourist. I also think it's kind of crazy that they charge for camp sauce that is just fry sauce which any other burger place in Utah would have for free if the ketchup is free.
google avatar

Samantha F.

Yelp
Nice spot to stop after hiking. It got pretty busy while we were there but the server was great at getting things out quickly! We got the half chicken plate and the pork sandwich. Both were great! A little expensive but all in all a nice spot.
google avatar

Becca M.

Yelp
We were sorely disappointed by how greasy everything was. We chose this spot based off of how fresh things looked in pictures but the grease covered any fresh flavor that could've existed. It was a gut bomb. We added the yummy chimichurri sauce to all our food to give it flavor but that just added to our oil problem. The employees were friendly and the space was clean though they messed up our order twice.
google avatar

Theresa L.

Yelp
Good food. I had a salad and added fried chicken. The chicken was so delicious I can't stop thinking about it. It is dog friendly so our two cavaliers enjoyed it too. Nice views.
google avatar

Christy H.

Yelp
This place is amazing from the service to the food. I had the shrimp tacos which are very flavorful and visually pleasing but a little messy in a good way. You have an amazing view while enjoying your meal whether you are inside or outside.
google avatar

Alex Z.

Yelp
Quality food that opens all day long. the space is very big and airy, counter order then you seat yourself. it's self service so you also need to clean up after the meal. I was recommended the sausage plate which is one of their most popular. After many meals of burgers this sounds great for a change. The dish includes three types of sausage and fingerlink potatos. perfectly grilled and seasoned. perfect portion to fill up.

Yelp
Like everyone else, I ended up here when I was looking for some dinner after hiking at Zion during the day. We were here during the first weekend in December when quite a few things were closed / closed early but Camp Outpost was open and delightful. I had the chicken and my husband had a burger. Both were delightful. The chicken was flavorful and juicy, as was the burger. The dining area is simple but clean and comfortable. The service was not fast but also not slow. They were a little busy and I don't feel like we waited an unreasonable amount of time for the food to come out. We grabbed a s'mores cookie on the way out; I'm glad we did. It was delightful. I would certainly come back again.

Yelp
Three days ago my family and I attempted to go to Camp Outpost. It was crowded (Thanksgiving week) but they have lots of outdoor seating. We were looking forward to the meal because the food here is excellent. However, we were told that they did not have propane for the heaters on their patio. The wait for inside seating would be long. So we left, disappointed. I wondered how the management could make such a mistake about the propane. Poor service and losing lots of business! Yesterday we tried again. This time we were able to sit inside. An encouraging start. But then the host informed us that they were out of meat for burgers, several salad items, anything that required compressed air (soda, beer), and several other things. I was bugged. What is wrong with the management here? I thought. I'm going to update my review (previously 4-star). This is going to be a rare 2-star review because of such poor management and service. But my negativity soon evaporated. A man named Trent was taking our orders. He was appropriately apologetic about what they were not able to do for us. He got our orders and we were quickly seated. Trent and his staff brought us our drinks right away and then our food. I was impressed with their attentiveness. The food was predictably excellent, as expected. But the service was over the top. Near the end of our meal, Trent came to our table and apologized once again for what they had run out of. He thanked us for our business. And then offered our whole party complimentary desserts. They were, as I expected, extremely tasty. At this point my earlier disappointment with Camp Outpost had disappeared. In it's place was gratitude for the outstanding service we received from Trent and his colleagues. We went from "We're never coming here again" to "We can't wait until our next visit." I know this is a rather odd Yelp review. But I wanted to tell a story of how someone like Trent can make a difference. Excellent service and outstanding care of customers can turn a not-so-great experience into a great one. Thank you, Trent, and your team for giving us such a fine evening. I'm sticking with my 4-star review. Trent and his team get a 5-plus for service. The food is a 5. Still some issues to be solved at Camp Outpost, but this is one of the best restaurants in Springdale.

Yelp
Solid spot considering the location. I'm glad their willing to work out the logistics to collect the necessary groceries to deliver on their menu. They ran out of some ingredients when I visited, but they were willing to make substitutes to deliver to the best of their abilities. This reflects on the staff's willingness to adapt to situations and still find a way to satisfy their customers. Sadly, I was not a fan of the substitute flavor profile and a good batch of the fries weren't fully cooked. I could imagine the potential taste of all the original ingredients, but I imagine the shop might frequently run out of ingredients considering its location. The building was everything you would expect from a camp outpost. It had a very wood-like feel and it seemed like a copy place to spend an evening.

Yelp
Food is delicious and very fresh , We have a large group of ppl ,the staff was fast and attentive,my wife had the camp burger ,super yummy ,my son had chicken strips aaaaalll natural Ambience was super chill We definitely coming back on our next visit Manager was super attentive and friendly If you around stop by and try it you won't regret it.

Yelp
Quick counter service joint with excellent views of Zion and plenty of seating (indoor and outdoor) Their homemade lemonade with prickly pear pure is the most refreshing drink after a long day in park. Burgers are juicy and salads are dressed well. Glad we stopped in!

Yelp
What did the campers say about the campfire? They gave it GLOWING reviews! And if you keep reading, that's exactly what Camp Outpost is getting, as well :D Service: Super friendly, high spirits. Ambiance: The ambiance surprised us! We thought it was more of a sit down spot with a waiter/waitress, but it's not. You order at a cashier, grab your number then wait for your food to be delivered. There's nothing wrong with this, btw. It just caught us off guard. Everything within the restaurant was clean, orderly and well-managed. Food: The Outpost Club It's a great option if you want a healthier bite, it's not heavy. Camp Burger Our favorite of the two! It was a very classic take: two patties, american cheese, tomato, pickled red onion, lettuce, and sauce on a toasted brioche bun. Brussel-Sprouts Very crispy and delicious! Going back? If you're looking for a fast option, absolutely!

Yelp
I've been to Zion a few times and sadly many of the restaurants are not very good but this place has amazing burgers! We always order the Camp Burger which comes with two patties and gluten free fries. I order the gluten free bun due to gluten intolerance and love how they take it seriously. The fries and burger are always cooked perfectly and definitely hit the spot after long hikes. The staff is so friendly and welcoming everytime we go. I'll always come here when visiting Zion!

Yelp

Yelp
What a ridiculous setup. We had just left Zion after a magnificent day in God's great beauty, and we were hungry for a good burger. Yelp pointed us to this restaurant. The restaurant was easy to find, but...Then we spent 15 minutes looking for their parking lot. Parking was all restricted to other neighboring properties!!! We could have paid for street parking, and instead went to another restaurant - "Whiptail" and had an amazing meal!

Yelp
Chicken sandwich is a winner!! ($16) Breading was perfectly thin and crispy. The cucumber margarita tasted fresh &wasn't too strong. The fries were hot and yummy. My husband enjoyed the Camp burger ($17.50) very much. Beautiful view of the rock formation from the dining room. Call me a little old fashioned, but I guess the new way of dining out is ordering at the counter and tipping beforehand. They have an extra surcharge of 3% Tourist area prices forsure. Service was great and we were thanked upon leaving. I would come back. We are from cali

Yelp
Great place for dinner and a drink after a long day or hiking! Rotisserie chicken was 10/10. Chicken was tender and the bed of potatoes and greens completed the meal. Would definitely order again! Fried pickles were also a hit. Service was good and they had seating inside and out! Overall great place to dine for the whole family!

Yelp
There isn't much indoor seating but they have outdoor seating. The service is fast considering how busy it is. We got the camp burger and the chicken burger and then we got the prickly pear margarita and the Paloma drinks. Personally the chicken burger was a little dry but it was flavorful. Fried chicken with bread is tricky with it being "dry on dry". The camp burger was two thin patties on top of each other. It tasted like a normal burger nothing was to special about it. I recommend adding avocado or bacon to spice it up but still delicious. Now the drinks were SO GOOD especially the prickly pear. Margarita. The drink was sweet and different from any margarita I've had, the tajin and sugar on the rim was a nice touch definitely recommend if your 21over.

Yelp
Tried the camp burger and chicken sandwich was so good. Soft buns and a lot of meat. Right next to our hotel. I'm definitely going back to try more.

Yelp
The food here was great - fresh, well cooked, juicy, and just healthy enough to bring me joy. The staff was way above expectations for an "order at the counter" place, delightful really.

Yelp
So good! From the delicious iced tea to the brussel sprouts, crispy shrimp flatbread and fried chicken sandwich. Swift service, clean place and delicious food!

Yelp
I had the camp burger and my wife had the club. Both were excellent. The restaurant was clean and the workers were helpful. We even had somebody wish us well on the way out the door. The Huckleberry lemonade was very good. The only complaint I have is that there is a 3% "fair wages" charge added to the bill. We were not informed of this, or I must have missed the sign. I believe in fair wages, I also believe in disclosure. Great food though! Highly recommend.

Yelp
This place was awesome! After a long few days traveling from New Mexico and Arizona, it was refreshing to enjoy an actually GOOD margarita!!! The salad was very fresh, a huge portion, and just what we were looking for. Would definitely recommend stopping here for a casual bite & drink to refuel after a day of exploring Zion
