Yelp
This place is super cute! As a recent inhabitant of Long Island, I need to check out all the food and drink it has to offer. (don't worry, plenty of NYC reviews will still be had!)
This was my first stop and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. As a fan of all NYC cute food and drink places, I was not sure what to expect. This place is sort of a mix of SLIGHTLY dive bar and adorable little cafe, plus outdoor beer garden. It wears all the hats.
The front part of the bar is quite spacious, with high top tables perfect for the beer drinking, pretzel eating, (and their pretzels are FANTASTIC looking!!) wing lovers. More casual and chill, perfect for watching the game. I believe they do live music as well. The back interior is a little more quiet and intimate, with cute wooden tables and booths, amidst a beautiful fireplace. And the back is where summers will be a great time, with their outdoor garden and setup.
Our server was lovely, we came for brunch, and their menu is outstanding. It's huge, with plenty for everyone, and you can order for the brunch menu OR the regular menu, which I love, because, sometimes I just want lunch :)
They had a grill cheese French toast that sounded spectacular (if anyone gets this, let me know how it was.) i ended up going with a veggie panini, and of course had to spring for the truffle fries. Anytime truffle is on the menu, you do it. Perfectly crispy and delicious, they were a hit. I know sometimes veggies make paninis not so crispy, but it was still delicious and well flavored.
I ordered a Gin drink, (can't recall the name but it had elderflower and pear, and I love the little mason jars it was served in. Can't wait to come back and try a few more items! I will definitely be back here, especially to hang outside in the summer!
