"The Best Italian Restaurant in Toronto If you only have one Italian restaurant to visit in Toronto , this is the one. Yes, Buca is good too, but Campagnolo treats you like famiglia. There is a reason the restaurant was voted on En Route's top ten restaurants of 2011. Everything on the menu is amazing and the menu changes on the regular but the perennial favourites are: 1. House-made Baguette and Gougères 2. Fresh Burrata Cheese with Roasted Grapes and Toasted Bread (NOBODY does burrata like Craig Harding. NOBODY). 3. House-Made Spaghetti All’Amatriciana 4. Papparadelle with braised rabbit (not currently on their menu but you're in for a treat when it is). 5. Budino - they even have mini budinos so you feel like you can treat yo self. If you have a chance to sit at the chef's table, it's a treat. Make sure to treat yo self to a boozy cocktail too. They're quite good here and executed with perfection. Campagnolo has a beautiful patio looking out onto Dundas Street West and it's one more treat if you can manage to get a reservation in the summer."

"Campagnolo, Dundas West by Sovereign State. Campagnolo opened in 2010 and in our opinion, is one of the best Italian restaurants in the city. Known for their top-notch service and ambiance, Campanolgo excels at creating comfort food that your Italian grandma would make. Start with the burrata and end with the salted caramel budino and your senses will thank you."

Ingredients are very fresh and treated in an original way. A bit noisy but friendly atmosphere. Our waitress S. was attentive and very knowledgeable about the food and the wine. Highly recommended.

We had a terrific evening here. We started with the mushroom and taleggio crepe, and the beef tartare - excellent. Then we moved on to spaghetti for some and the ricotta cavatelli for others. The former was delicious and garlicky. The latter had a fantastic and tasty lamb ragu. Overall a great meal

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Campagnolo - the service was welcoming and friendly, the food was tasteful and well presented, the surroundings were nice. Upon entering the restaurant I was welcomed right away and my reservation was confirmed. I was brought to a table where our waiter met us. He introduced himself politely and professionally. He recommended a few different wines and beers. He brought over 2 different beers for us to taste before committing to something. Once our food was ordered and arrived we were able to enjoy the best part of the night. The food. Right off the bat the Water Buffalo Carpaccio was tasteful. The sweetness from the carrots and egg yolk coupled with the truffle was spot on! I enjoyed the Pipe Rigate Bolognese which came with rapini topped with parmesan. However the meal I enjoyed the most was the House-Made Spaghetti All'Amatricana. The spaghetti was made to a perfect al dente. The tomato sauce was made perfectly, full of taste and with a hint of spice. Finally the pasta is mounted with parmesan and a bit of olive oil. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an Italian restaurant in the city. The service was great, friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was spacious and not tight. Most importantly, the food was great! Excited to come back!

A few dishes were good (mushroom crepe, spaghetti, bread pudding). The rest were so-so (duck and beef loin weren't very flavourful nor tender). Sad to see them closing though.

Campagnolo used to be THE restaruant to go to and reservations are hard to come by, but things are more normal now that a few years have gone by. The food presentation is always good and the dishes taste ok as well. Having that said, I find the appetizers a bit pricey, and the drinks can add up quickly. None of the dishes are mind-blowing, but they are solid nonetheless. I feel Campagnolo is now one of those restaurants that you visit once or twice a year. The experience and food is ok, but there is never a reason to make you want to come back again and again.

I have enjoyed many special occasion dinners at Campagnolo and every single dinner companion has loved the food. On my last visit they made me the most beautiful vegan option, fried polenta with wild mushroom ragout and local greens, which seemed to be just as enjoyable for me as the handmade spaghetti my friends ordered. The service is immaculate, warm, knowledgeable and hospitable. They have an excellent seasonal drinks menu. Highly recommend Campagnolo to celebrate a special occasion or date night.

I think the bone marrow, Cornish hen and braised rabbit are awesome! Service was good but not outstanding, and the place is a bit too dark.

Food wasn't bad but wasn't great. Pasta came cold and every dish was really salty. Definitely a let down. Servers were so nice so the 3 stars because of them.
