Enjoyed a good milkshake today. Ingredients were fresh and it was one of the better milkshakes I’ve had. Getting it was a little long, but in fairness several people came in all and once and not much staff. Enjoyed it!

Perfect stop during a scenic motorcycle ride. Hot food, cold drinks, and they always have slices of desserts. Staff is nice, very laid back.

I've eaten here three times and haven't been disappointed. Two times I had to take the orders to go since I hadn't packed a lunch those days and once was a sit down and dine with family. I've ordered pizza, chicken tenders and French dip and all three were delicious. Pizza was one of the best I've ever had but the French dip topped it. I'll definitely go back and try other items on the menu. Service was slow but can't fault the staff since they are understaffed.

A total bummer!! There was only one other person in here when I ordered my food. It took FOREVER to get a burger. I asked, "Do you cook your burgers to temperature?" She said, "Yes". I followed that with, "So if I order it medium rare, will it actually come out medium rare?" And she said that it would. After waiting a ridiculously long amount of time, especially for a dead slow restaurant, the burger came out very well done. And the cheese was pathetically thin. I didn't know that you could slice cheese as thin as a business card. I was so looking forward to coming here and drove out of my way to eat here. Never again. What a very disappointing experience. I'm leaving here pissed off. What a waste of time and money.

Probably one of the cheapest if not the cheapest reasonably quality Tapas bar for Tex Mex offerings in town. The beef, prawns and seafood offerings could be hit and miss sometimes but you can't go wrong with Salsa, Tortilla Chips, Hokkaido Oysters and Cheap beer. Down it with their Double Whiskey Offerings and it's all good. With a million dollars view to boot. Always a great night out

Ordered their only diet drink but the dispenser was out of the flavored syrup. Asked three different employees but all did not address the issue before we left 15 minutes later. Paid for a beverage they did not apparently have in stock.

One of the best philly cheese steaks I ever had. My wife and I like how thinly the steak was cut, it gave it extra flavor. We also had a veri delicious vegan wrap as well.

Delicious burgers and fries. Their pizza is great too. Staff is friendly, the restaurant is nice and relaxed for dining in, and prices are reasonable.

I had to drive my car 100 miles before my smog test (don't ask) so I used maps to find a place fifty miles from my home in North Park. Campo Cafe, here we come! What a lovely surprise, this little place way out east. The staff was friendly and efficient, the selection offered a bit of everything, and the food tasted great. We'll be back for sure.

We stopped here for lunch while adventuring throughout campo, and we really were not disappointed! The burgers were great! Juicy and flavorful and it's a huge portion especially with the fries and milkshake combo. The staff was nice. The place is actually really spacious, it doesn't look that big from the outside. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area!

Food: quite good WHEN YOU GOT IT Service: I went as part of group of 11 -- four couples and three singles. Of the total of seven orders, only five made it into the kitchen! After waiting and waiting, one half of the couple stuck his head into the kitchen to check on how their food was coming -- learned no order in! Remaining person checked and learned same thing about his. And drinks (shakes) being prepared by the only person up front, also manning the register, took forever -- my wife was just about done with her sandwich before hers finally came, even though we were the first of the group to order. Ambiance: Big, empty room -- a few sports banners on the wall.

Since we had some down time before our train ride at the nearby museum, we stopped in for lunch and was not disappointed. My French dip was really solid and the onion rings quite delicious. The portions were generous as well, as I rolled out of there feeling pretty stuffed. The place itself isn't much to look at. You order at the counter and then take a seat in the oddly spacious dining room. Perhaps it's used for events -- that would explain all of the empty space between tables. (?) All of the staff were incredibly helpful and nice. It would be nice if they did something about the glare on the digital menu board -- it was awfully hard to read the menu. There was also an awful lot of throw away plastic waste -- the au jus and BBQ sauce came in to go-style thick plastic containers that seemed a bit overboard. It'd be nice to use something either reusable or less wasteful. With solid food and such nice service, though, we'll definitely be back the next time we visit the train museum down the road.

This is a little local spot. We happened to stop by here by chance after visiting the Pacific Southwest railway museum. They have all the food items you would imagine to be at a little cafe, they also have some hand scooped ice cream and local pastries they offer. The service was pretty standard, I came in with a group of 5. Our food came up pretty quick, and we all left very satisfied. There's plenty of parking, and a restroom available to use. I would definitely recommend the French dip.

Onion rings cold and chicken ceasar wrap had more croutons than chicken. Service not very friendly and food took a long time even though we were there after the lunch rush

Haven't been here in over two years due to lack of customer service , you flip a coin on whether your going to receive what you actually ordered and wait times . The ambiance is that of a small town cafe . The food was good until it wasn't . The last conversation I had was with some manager that was rude and unapologetic, however this being one of the only places to eat out here we actually thought " after two years of not going let's give it one more try , maybe they have improved " we went in again a few weeks ago and it was like crickets . I could hear staff talking and laughing in the back but no one came to the front . We waited about three to five minutes and still no one came out ... we decided to leave and go to Alpine to get food . It's pretty sad when a local would rather drive 30 minutes to get food than 2 minutes down the road . You need new management in there who knows about customer service , consistency, and training . Alpine and Lake Morena is where we will be dinning for now .. not from lack of trying to give this place the benefit of the doubt .

This little gold mine offers a veggie pizza - vegan if you substitute the cheese with a vegan alternative..the cauliflower crust is gluten free & awesome! Add red onion rings on top seals the deal for me. A bit pricey for the smallish size of the pizza so able to enjoy it infrequently.

Thank you Campo Cafe! This was the perfect pit stop for our family! The pizza was delicious. My daughter said it was the best pizza she has ever ate. Wings were perfect. The Ranch though! That delicious "restaurant ranch." We enjoyed the shaded outdoor eating area. The bathrooms were roomy and clean. The owner was helpful and fun to talk to. If we ever come back through the area we will definitely stop in again!!

This is a nice little restaurant near the train museum in Campo. It always seems to be busy for lunch and dinner, but the service is fast and friendly. The family that runs it has been out here in Campo since 1981 and they also operate the Campo Green Store. The cafe itself is well decorated and goes pretty strongly for the whole "industrial chic"look while still being rather cozy. It has some outdoor seating for you fresh-air types. The food is as good as it gets for a "mom and pop" cafe, and the owner Chris really keeps the quality of his offerings high. My recommendations are the pizzas, the ciabatta, their Boar's Head sandwiches... and any of their specials. Of the latter, I have had their tacos for Taco Tuesday and their fish n' chips special (Fridays). They have pulled pork on Wednesdays, I believe. Though I have generally focused on lunch and dinner here, they have a nice little breakfast menu that I have tried a few times. Get the pancakes!

I just moved down to Boulevard and go here when I want to order out. Everything tastes great and always fresh but I LOVE LOVE their wings. These are so flavorful and tender with lots of meat, unlike most places with bone in wings. Always good service too definitely would recommend

The foods a hit or miss. Either undercooked or burned it seems. Sometimes it's really good and the sandwiches are amazing with the fries and other times there's like nothing on my sandwich, the veggies and meats are bare minimum and for the price, come on. If you're low on a product just say you ran out and I'll order something else happily, I understand. But the prices are bad considering the costumer service. Also please stay consistent with ingredients. One day the pizzas awesome, the next there's no cheese and the dough is undercooked and there's no sauce. I keep giving it a try because it's good some times but it's not worth it anymore I'll be taking my business to the sandwich shop that never fails and has stuffed sandwiches I never finish them and worth $10. And they smile at you.

Downhill since June of 2024. My favorite were the 5 piece chicken tenders. I used to get decent size tenders, it would fill up half the take-out box they provide, but now it looks like chicken fingers. This happened not just in one or two occasions but 3, 1 called once just to let them know that the portion does not match the price but l was kept on hold for roughly 10 min and then it got "cut off". The last straw was when I ordered an 18" pizza (around 27 drs), and they gave me a small ranch cup, I nicely asked if I could get two more (since IT WAS AN 18" PIZZA which can feed 2-3 people), the lady said sorry I can't, new policy only let me give 1 per food order. I responded - "but it's an 18" pizza". . She responded - "There's nothing I can do". (BTW it was not the owner or his wife, they're nice, it was an older lady, seemed like she was having a bad day). Ileft the ranch she gave me on the counter and said "wow, never-mind, just keep it all". That was the last time I was there. I haven't been there since beginning of August. Now I make the drive to Alpine for my tenders and to Lake Morena for my pizzas. It's a little more inconvenient but worth the trip when I get what I am paying for.

Great food. At least once a month I order pizza excellent service. The ambiance is very pleasant and the workers are very efficient.

The food here is okay at best, the pizza looks like it has very little cheese. The owner bought this restaurant a couple years ago and changed the ingredients to the pizza and other foods. The quality of the food has suffered, I am just one of many people who know this to be a fact. Not worth the money but it is the only restaurant in the area. Nothing bogus here unless I choose to lie, I do apologize that the truth (facts) does not go over well with you. All one has to do is go into town and buy a pizza from a reputable restaurant and the truth will be obvious. Only being as truthful as one could possibly be..

The owners here are awesome , they genuinely care about their customers. Pizza is great! There is only a few restaurants in campo, but this one is the best!

Everythis was delicious! From the shake, to the delicious pizza. Idk what type of ingredients but amazingly delicious!

Best french dip with a twist ever!! Had it with chipotle mayo and pepper jack cheese. It's so awesome to be craving something and have the cook make it every thing I wanted. Service was great and the mango cart beer was refreshing. Thank you so much.

Just want to share some pictures of Campo Cafe. Highly recommend don't do phone order in rush hours you will be in hold for a while. Staff very friendly. Chai tea delicious cold or hot.

Great food . Ready on time friendly service the order a couple of things off of there menu and it never disappoints. My favorite is the Greek salad . Amazing!!!

I love getting a personal pizza here - it's enough for two meals for me and I can get just as many toppings as I want and they don't skimp on them!

We had a great dinner except, we're back to bad onion rings. I remember this happened over a year ago, but things definitely got better after that. But now..... I think ill just start checking them before leaving.

The food was really good, but it took you forever to get it. I had to get someone's attention just to check on my order, which took forever. I would probably give them another chance because their breakfast burritos were really good.

We waited 30 minutes for two blended coffees and a pastry! That's after waiting about five minutes while we watched the girl making other coffee orders. The girl that helped us didn't communicate much. Didn't even greet us while we stood there. There were food orders that had been ordered AFTER our simple order that were done before our coffee! Terrible service! It's sad that there are not too many businesses here on the mountain but that is no reason to have such a long wait for coffee orders or have bad survive. I'm all for supporting local business but the business should act like they appreciate the support.

I have been here only twice. First time for the Western Burger and second for the Jalapeno Burger. Choco-Peanut Butter milkshake is the bomb!!! Customer service was great both times. Second time there was a little league game across the street so lots of people. Order took a bit longer than usual but hey food definitely didnt disappoint. Will definitely be coming back. Pizza extremely good as well.

Stopped for lunch. Had two antipasto salads. The lettuce was fresh, the meat and cheeses were tasty. The staff was friendly. Overall great little place.

The garlic cheesy bread, French fries and ranch dressing is by far the best in the city of SD. However, the pitfall is that there are long phone wait times to order and 2 of 3 most recent orders have been incorrect. When I called to discuss what took place I waited on hold for 11 minutes and gave up. Additionally the cashiers often have trouble multi-tasking causing even longer wait times. Lastly, the smell of Fabioloso is so strong it permeates the place. Will I continue eating the cheesy bread, yes but suggest that you have the time to wait.

This is a comfortable place to eat in or take out. Food is very good. Burgers, pizza, wings, sandwiches and breakfast. Lots of options.

Now that the cafe is under new ownership, everything is awesome. My family and I come here often. The menu has expanded and it's all very fresh. The food is no longer greasy and old tasting. They are now open on sundays which we love because we like to walk over and get fresh coffee and breakfast. Before when I would order the pesto sandwich it looked thrown together, now it's made with love

This salad was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend coming to Campo Cafe. The workers are super polite and everything was kept nice and clean.

Please use whole milk mozzarella on your pizzas. The cheese you use now is cheap and not good. The cheese burns while the dough is undercooked.

The food here is okay but I was ripped off the last two times I went there. About 3 months ago they slipped me a counterfeit $10 bill and I didn't notice until too late (and it was an obvious fake.) Today I ordered a cheeseburger combo. The sign said that the combo was $2.00 additional but they charged me an extra $2.50. When I complained about it the young lady repesaid "I don't set the prices. I just go by what the computer tells me." If you go here watch your change and the prices. Update: much better now!

I tried the wings, pizza and a few other items. I was really excited because it looked like a more professional and nice place to eat compared to other places in the area. But honestly the food wasn't very good.

I'm local and sorry to say that I'll never go to Campo Cafe again. The food is pretty good and just a little bit pricey, but they have some knuckleheads working there. I ordered burgers and full orders of fries last time. The fries were not full orders...they were half or less. In fact they were probably a small handful. Campo Cafe won't have to worry about ripping me off again!

All waiter are so friendly and foods are so delicious! It's so prefect what I asked on my plate I'm strict foods becuz I had diabetes as they listen what I want in on my foods. We will going there again!

I have had breakfast and lunch there last week ans it was wonderful, the breakfast croissants are fab, the Philip sandwich was wonderful and the western burger was awesome, this is little local restaurant serving up great food

2nd review this month. This place is showing there true colors lately!!! I placed an online order yesterday at 9am. When I arrived at 1030 they said they did t receive my order. The girl checked in the back and said o ya it's here but we havnt started it!!! Are you kidding me. Get it together!!!

This place is hit and miss. We got there almost weekly and order the same items every time. When it's good, it's really good, which is why we keep going back. Unfortunately, about a third of the time, something isn't right. Tonight, and this has happened several times, we didn't get the ranch dressing we requested with out chicken tenders. I'm the past, they corrected the problem with a complimentary half-order of onion rings with our next order. This time, when we got home and discovered the omission, the young woman who answered the phone said she couldn't do that, stating "I offered for you to come back and get it or you can just ask for extra the next time. Going back was quite inconvenient and extra the next time doesn't solve the problem with tonight's meal. I work in customer service and find this totally unacceptable.

Wonderful food. We do take out. We had the pulled pork meal. Mmmm. So good! Their fish and chips on Friday is good, alao.

Excellent classic cheeseburger! Nice bun, fresh lettuce and tomato, cheese and tasty sauce. The fries were good too. DH and I loved our burgers, shared the generous order of fries. We took home freshly baked turnovers for breakfast. Staff was really nice too. Definitely worth the stop!

First time I ordered with new ownership they got our order completely wrong. Second time we ordered they left us on hold for 8 minutes. I gave up and ordered online. Gave us a time of 15 minutes. When we arrived they said would be another 12 minutes. Was so disappointed Went back this evening so much better! The man behind the counter reviewed my order and was super helpful!
