Camps Bay Retreat

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, and is 100% the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. Every single member of staff was lovely - particularly I want to thank Avory, Memory, Siphelele, Casper, Benson and Andrew (but there were more I just didn't catch their names, I'm sorry!). Our amazing room had a little wooden balcony with a hot tub, the view one way was of the mountain, and the other was the ocean. The hotel grounds are incredible and so looked after, there was always someone working on the vegetable patches or in the gardens, all the natural pools and walkways are so unique and special, you really could spend a day just exploring the hotel itself. The Terrace facing the sea & sunset is the perfect place for an evening, and we even had a lovely massage at the spa. I'll be recommending this place to everyone visiting Cape Town, and I can't thank all the staff enough for making our trip so lovely.

I visited the Mint Wellness Spa today to celebrate our anniversary, and from the moment we arrived the experience was phenomenal. The staff were so welcoming and friendly – even the gentleman sweeping outside greeted us with a smile, which set such a positive tone. We booked the Forest Spa Pods, and it was truly something special. The massage was the absolute best I’ve ever had – far beyond the usual spa experience. Instead of just being in a room with background music, the natural sounds of the forest surrounded us, making it deeply relaxing and unique. Afterwards, we enjoyed the hot tub with fresh fruit and champagne/water, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the experience even more memorable. A huge thank you to the ladies who did our massages – not only were your skills fantastic, but your warm smiles and excellent service made us feel completely at ease. We will definitely be back!

As I sit here looking out at the ocean with my stunning view of the sea I just don't want to leave. This hotel and staff are truly exceptional. Major mention to Damien on front of house and Avory who couldn't do enough for us and Andrew who is a true gentleman greeting us with the biggest smile from the moment we arrived. A little piece of heaven in Camps bay. We stayed in the Manor House which is true luxury. 5 stars. Thank you for an amazing stay and I would recommend to anyone. Kim and Ali xx

The classic property is so frozen in time, in a good way protecting its rich past of the architecture - we were served with such delicious meals. Mine a vegetarian Pasta, wow! Best is the view of sunset I had, second only to the one I had at Kanyakumari, India a decade back- more a sunrise there. ||Clear skies, great weather, nippy but good. Clean view as the embering orb went down so gracefully clouding the calm ocean in a beautiful orange hue.

We had a lovely few days at Camps Bay Retreat. The location was brilliant for us, as we preferred being just outside Cape Town city centre. Camps Bay offers some great restaurants plus the beautiful beaches and walks. The centre was a short taxi drive, between 5-10 minutes. The staff at Camps Bay Retreat including management, spa and restaurant/ breakfast service was all exceptional. You really felt the friendliness from everyone and this certainly made our trip very comfortable. We unfortunately didn’t get to play paddle as the court was wet on the day, but we made use of the spa facilities instead. Overall we would thoroughly recommend the hotel and would absolutely return if we visited Cape Town again.

Lovely stay here. Staff were very friendly. Room beautiful and housekeeping was excellent too. Slept really well here. Sea view was lovely. Grounds beautifully maintained. Security reassuring.

Had a lovely stay at Camps Bat Retreat. Historic main house with rooms and apartments located throughout beautiful gardens. The rooms were clean and well equirped. The staff were very helpful and attentive and the food was excellent. A great base for exploring the Cape Town area.

loved our stay here! epic scenes in every corner of the retreat. the only down side that the gym is in the bay hotel which is 10min walk. helpful and kind staff except the ones serving in the breakfast area..
