Canal Grande Hotel

In the last six months I have stayed twice at the hotel "Canal Grande". The hotel is located in a beautiful palace overlooking the Canal Grande and a small square, Campiello San Simeone Grande. Some rooms are located in an annexe and are very quiet. The hotel is ideal for those arriving in the lagoon city by train, as the Santa Lucia station is only a five-minute walk away. The decor of the hotel completely reflects the Venetian spirit. The rooms are luxurious, with fine antique furniture in the Rococo style, but with all the comforts required of a modern boutique hotel. Each room is named after an important Venetian location, represented by a painting. I stayed in the "Old Market" and "San Giorgio" rooms. The maintenance is impeccable. The staff is very courteous, knowledgeable and always helpful. Breakfast is served in an elegant dining room overlooking the Canal Grande. In the same place, as well as on the terrace in front of the main building, various drinks are served during the day. The service is very attentive. The hotel also offers an excursion to the island of Murano, including a visit to a glass factory and an art shop. I highly recommend this exceptional hotel to anyone looking for a refined, romantic and intimate place in the magical city of Venice.

This is a great place to stay while in Venice. We stayed pre and post a Riverboat cruise. This is a small boutique hotel which is located directly on the Grand Canal in Venice. It is very centrally located and within walking distance to anywhere you want to go. The hotel Offers private pick up service from the airport directly to the hotel via private water taxi for a fee of course. The breakfast is served daily and the food is plentiful and fresh and includes cappuccinos and lattes yum ! The receptionist and all around go to person is Anka and she will personally welcome you and direct you to wherever you wish to go in and around Venice ! She is a super star… as well as all the other staff who were extremely professional and very helpful in making you feel comfortable and at home! Would definitely stay again when visiting Venice.

Our experience at Hotel Canal Grande was truly unforgettable, leaving us with cherished memories that will last a lifetime.

We had an exceptional stay at Hotel Canal Grande. Arriving to the hotel was a quick walk from the train station. We were greeted very warmly upon arrival. The customer service truly sets this hotel apart, everyone was welcoming and helpful! The room was clean, comfortable, and had a wonderful view of the canal. The complementary breakfast was very good with many options.

Our favorite hotel experience in Italy. Beautiful and charming, and located right on the canal with a lovely view. The room we chose with balcony and canal view was very romantic and memorable. Breakfast served daily and a bar in the lobby. However what really made the difference was the incredible service. Alessandro and his team were amazing, were truly accommodating, and helped make our stay perfect. We appreciated the gondola reservation and the porter they arranged to take our luggage to San Marco garage. Will certainly stay again when we visit in the future, next time for longer.

The Hotel Canal Grande is a wonderful place to stay, ideally located on a lovely stretch of the Grand Canal and within a 30 minute walk of Rialto and St Mark's. ||We took a tour of the Jewish Quarter which is very close to the hotel and the history of this lesser known part of Venice was extremely interesting. Definitely worth taking this three hour tour of the Hidden Venice. | |Our stay in the hotel was one of the best experiences we've ever had. The staff could not have been more focussed on ensuring we not only enjoyed our stay there but that we also enjoyed Venice itself. Nothing is too much trouble and the atmosphere makes you feel at ease and looked after. ||For my recommendation I can only say that my wife and I will return to Venice and we will definitely stay at the Hotel Canal Grande again. If we can also stay in the Canaletto Suite again then that would be a bonus. It's a magnificent room with balcony views of the Grand Canal. ||To summarise our stay here..... wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!

We stayed at this beautiful 16th century hotel for a wonderful week. |The staff are so helpful and very friendly. The breakfast is delicious, with fresh fruit, yoghurts, cheeses, meats, pastry’s etc. our room was stunning, overlooking the Grande Canal. It was such a beautiful break, we walked nearly 60 miles, because there is just so much to explore. 10/10

We had a lovely stay in the elegant suite on the 2nd floor. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with smiles from friendly and helpful staff. Our suite was beautifully decorated, had the best view, comfortable beds, and great water pressure in the shower. The complimentary breakfast included typical continental breakfast items. We liked the location because it’s walkable from the train station and is a bit away from the crowded San Marco square. We would stay here again if we come back to Venice!
