Highlights

Our wines are decidedly uncommon. We are making Pacific Northwest wines with Oregon sensibilities. From our blends, stand alone varietals, to our vermouth; each flavor is varied and unique.

"Cana’s Feast is a welcome respite for those with pinot fatigue: This Carlton winery specializes in classic Old World varietals such as nebbiolo and grenache from Italy and the French wine regions of Bordeaux and Rhone. Then again, those who can’t imagine leaving the pinot noir world will find some pretty expressions of the varietal, sourcing grapes from high-profile vineyards like Freedom Hill. The estate is surrounded by Italian cypress, stone pine, and olive trees, with bocce ball courts and a piazza straight out of Italy. Due to popularity, reservations are recommended for weekend visits. The tasting room is open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m." - Zoe Baillargeon, Brooke Jackson-Glidden

We had an amazing time during our visit! While we didn't sample every wine, the Cabernet Franc truly stood out for us. The winery itself is intriguing—it may appear to be a simple storefront in the city, but it boasts stunning views of the valley and mountains. We also enjoyed the bocce ball courts, and the staff provided a warm and friendly atmosphere. Plus, the prices were very reasonable!

We were Club Members for a very long time. Great wine, great location. Why four instead of five stars? Unfortunately we had to cancel our membership due to retirement and cutting costs. We picked up our last allotment but then we were charged for the next one afterwards. Now they are asking for 15$ to reverse the charges? It’s small but really? After all this time and thousands of dollars? Where did the usual customer service go? https://youtu.be/ISJ1V8vBiiI?si=JcdtptEpEic1mN3N

We were members years ago but left due to a move. We visited recently since moving back and Michael took care of us. there was no question that we were joining their wine club again; his approach of their wine was unpretentious and described with love and care. Cana’s Feast produces an honest product, it’s employees make you feel welcome and they want to talk about their product. We really missed the club member pickup events and are now looking forward to experiencing their new seated meal style wine pickup. This is an Oregon winery that is unforgettable and not to miss.

Fabulous place to enjoy delicious wine and the view. Several food options for nibbling. Boccie ball and corn hole to pass the time away. The staff was absolutely wonderful.

Google
Great tasting venue. Outdoor covered area with a central fire pit and heaters which was nice on a cool autumn day. They have small plates if you want to snack as you sample their wines. We purchased the Primitivo and the Cab Franc to take home.

The staff is kind and welcoming. The brie and baguette was artfully presented and delicious. A great place to visit on a sunny fall day

Google
Absolutely love this tasting room! The inside is so inviting, and there's a beautiful patio to enjoy the view. And of course the awesome bocce ball courts! And all of this while tasting some damn good wine!! A must-stop tasting room in Carlton. A little off the beaten path, it's worth going the extra few minutes outside of the center of town. If you can sneak a view in the barrel room, such a cool sight to see! The people working here certainly know their wine inside and out, perfect for a crash course in Willamette Valley wines.

Google
I really love the new outdoor seating area here. They have done a great job making our current situation comfortable and inviting. With that said, the wines are amazing. I especially love the Italian wines, my favorite being the Mountain Cuvee, such a unique and well-balanced wine. I'm excited to return here and stock up again!

Yelp
We had a wonderful tasting at Cana's Feast. Michael was a terrific host. He is very knowledgeable and very fun to talk to. The wines were excellent and the patio is a lovely location.

Yelp
Cana's Feast is just outside of downtown Carlton, but you feel completely transported as you pull up to this picturesque winery with a row of Cyprus trees and lavender lining the bocce court. The views of the rolling hills provides a relaxing backdrop from your spot on the patio of the golden, Tuscan style tasting room. Friends took me here as part of my birthday celebration because I love all things Italian and favor bigger, bolder reds, especially Barbera and Nebbiolo, over Oregon Pinot. Cana's sources their grapes from the Columbia Valley in Washington, a region known for jammy, full bodied reds, so this was a good choice! Our tasting started with a rose, which was delightful on a sunny summer day, then moved onto the reds. While I enjoyed all the wine, the Cab Franc, with notes of blueberry, dark cherry, pepper, and a hint of herbs, was my favorite. It paired nicely with the charcuterie of cured meats, cheese, olives and dried fruit that we shared. And would be a perfect with a beef, pork or grilled lamb dish. Willamette Valley has no shortage of wineries with more than 700 throughout the valley and growing! While I always enjoy visiting my favorites, it's so much fun to discover new places. I look forward to visiting Cana's Feast again.

Yelp
Cana's Feast Winery was a solid winery in Oregon's wine country. This was our first stop in the Willamette Valley as my partner's family are members to this fun winery in a beautiful setting. We had reservations in the afternoon on a Saturday and the place was packed since there was a special event for members. Though the building was open, everyone sat out on the patio because the view of the valley is beautiful here! Plus, that's where all the action takes place, with everyone enjoying wine with their dogs and playing cornhole. All of us tried the flight for the day, which rotates out. We were welcomed with a rosato, an Italian rose, which was light and dry, a nice way to start our flight. Then we had a red blend, a sangiovese, a cab franc, merlot and a heavy red blend with a cab sauv base. Since we're red wine fans, all the red ones were good. No complaints. However, if I had to pick a favorite, I'd go with the cab franc, which was bold, heavy and of course, made with Washington grapes, which most of the wines here are made with. That makes a lot of sense why I enjoyed the wines from here! If you're looking for some nice Italian, red wines in the area then Cana's Feast is your jam. We had fun here, trying all the different red wines in a picturesque setting with friendly staff. I'm glad we were able to check it out and bring some bottles back home!

Yelp
Thank you to Jason for the great conversation and informative discussion regarding the wines and the area. Grateful, we swung by and were able to enjoy the views from inside since Ron R.'s allergies were acting up :) Cana's feast will definitely be added to our list of wine club rotations and warrants a trip back regardless. The I am excited to partake and share all that Oregon Wine Country has to offer. The flight choices were a well rounded mix conveying and tantalizing the senses to all that Cana's Feast had to offer. We went home with the Syrah and the Sangiovese and we shall return for more! :) Planning to visit- Make reservations for a tasting outdoors and you will be glad you did!

Yelp
Our first exposure to Cana's Feast wines was at the Helvetia Farm Market in Hillsboro. We were given a tasting from a master chef named James. A charming fellow who (if I recall) splashed a 2018 Bricco Red sample. A red blend that I've never tried before. This made us say "Oh that's relaxing! An easy table red that I could cook with or simply drink everyday." Then came the advertisement plug-in lol. And James' recommendation to visit the Cana's Feast tasting room where he will be plating his culinary artistry and wine pairings. Sweet! We could not attend his event, but we did make reservations for a tasting. Here's what this little winery is all about: ~ Upon driving up, it's easy to find, as the entrance is right off the main road. So don't expect a long windy road through a forest. Parking is no problem. ~ Our hostess, Tiffany, greeted us and checked us in. We visited on a hot Saturday afternoon in August where farmers were still cutting hay nearby. Hence making my allergies kick-in and the need to wanna enjoy the wines indoor, versus being out on the terrace with everyone. ~ The views were pretty far, wide, and green. Enjoyable to see, but again killer against my nose and allergies. Plan accordingly with Claritin lol. ~ Jason our server, did an awesome job with the wine flight presentation! We only ordered a Bread & Brie board, but it was perfect. The pairings with the Syrah, Sangiovese, and Mourvèdre were noted as my favorites. ::::: TL;DR ::::: Cana's Feast is a small winery that provides varieties from the Pacific Northwest to Bordeaux to Italian, and to French. Their flights are fairly priced I'd say, but believe me, you'll enjoy every sip. Service is welcoming and on-point. The place is easy to get to, and the views are pretty picturesque. Enjoy!

Wayne L.

Yelp
Wonderful and friendly staff. The side boards were delicious. The location was serene

Yelp
If you're looking for a unique spot in Carlton, a little off the beaten path from the main area in town. This spot is incredible and has so much more character, offering a great experience with pergolas, misters, bocce ball courts, and an epic view of the valley beyond. The wine is incredible! And doesn't drain the bank account. It's hard to go elsewhere and not compare the taste and price to other wines in the area or even other wine areas. My husband and I had a great, nearly private, tasting on a hot evening in Carlton. So great that it's walkable to the restaurants and was close to our hotel just down the street! No need to drive. Carlton is a unique gem in the expansive wine region and Cana's Feast is even more of a gem hidden within! Couldn't recommend it more and can't wait to return.

Jennifer A.

Yelp
Awesome time here! No sales pressure, amazing wine that's not just Pinot noir. Great service. Highly recommended

Randy L.

Yelp
Located just outside the quaint small town of Carlton, Cana's Feast offers a range of good quality, hearty warm-climate Spanish and Italian wines. Tastings are six wines , and tasting fee is refunded with purchase of one bottle. Pricing is reasonable and ambience is a little more relaxed than some of their spendier peers. There's a large shaded terrace with vineyard views, and a bocce ball court along one side. The terrace is a great spot for a vineyard lunch, you can buy a cheese board or bring your own sandwich.

Jessica H.

Yelp
First of all, it is an absolutely beautiful location and the decor and ambiance is very Tuscan. The staff are unbelievably knowledgeable and personable. They really take their time educating patrons on wine, which I found to be extremely helpful during our tastings. Amy and Jason are wonderful! Huge fan of their Cuvée. They treat everyone like VIP; coupled with gorgeous scenery is what I call a perfect day.

Chris H.

Yelp
Great wine. Amazing service from a knowledgeable and friendly staff. We joined the wine club here. Very reasonable prices. Love this place.

Peter B.

Yelp
This place is a gem. Delicious and unpretentious wines, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and a beautiful site. The wines are made in a European style. We enjoyed the babera, the nebiolo, syrah, and cab. All of their wines excellent.

Wayne G.

Yelp
Super friendly staff and excellent red wines at good values! Great tasting deal for 8 wines for only 15 dollars! Why not 5 star? Need more ambiance like a fireplace, more decor, food and seating.

Stephen F.

Yelp
This place probably provides me with 90% of my daily drinkers. Fantastic prices with amazing big reds! If you like Italian varietals, a cool venue and awesome staff, stop here for sure!!!

Samuel B.

Yelp
This place was excellent! Great service, knowledgeable staff, and excellent wines. I chose them for one of our Sunday afternoon stops because of their Italian and Rhone blends, which aren't common for the Carlton area, but I thought their Rosato, a dry, fruit forward Rose, was surprisingly good. Because their prices were so reasonable and their selection was so broad, we ended up buying about twice as many bottles as we usually do! I will definitely be going back next year!

Laura C.

Yelp
I was thrilled when our wine tour bus pulled us up to this lovely Spanish style villa. My pallet was thrilled when I tried their 2013 Primitivo which is comprised of strawberry, boysenberry, fig and cigar ash and spicy tobacco. Okay, the last 2 were ingredients sound weird, but the wine did not taste like ash or cigar and just had a hint of those flavors when you sniffed at your glass. No joke, it was my favorite wine because of the smokey taste. But then, I love anything hickory or mesquite flavored and buy liquid smoke for cooking meats. After a few tastings, we went outside to sit on the patio and eat the cheese and breads we had brought along, which went very well with the glasses of reds we purchased. The view really was spectacular and really added to our wonderful experience.

Yelp
We've been trying to stop at this place the last couple of times we've come through town. One of the last ones there was a huge event here with several wine tour limos parked in front. We elected to pass on that day. Today it was a bit busy and not near as sunny (well, it is November after all). We walked in and it was really crowded but the team of servers kept the tasting moving. They will credit you your $10 tasting feel back when you purchase over $40 worth of wine. I'm sure you all know by now...no problem here. They don't create many pinot noirs but the one we tasted there was very tasty and one of our purchases. For $25 it was a tasty one and the price wasn't too over the top. The acoustics in the tasting room are quite loud so any amount of talking makes it echo in there. So, it can get loud in a hurry. A busy Saturday such as the one we visited and it's going to be a din in there. So, just know that going in that hearing what is being said is going to be a challenge in a large group. We tasted our wines and it was too loud in there so I went outside (it was raining but not bad) and said on a bench just outside. A guy that was a passenger in one of the limo's visiting that day was walking toward the limo, saw me come out, turned and walked back to be and asked me my name, I told him, he said, nice to meet you and staggered back to his limo. The cork necklace he was wearing should have been my first clue. Anyway, I guess anything can happen while visiting a winery. I would definitely come back again and try some of their small plates. There is some nice seating outside for better weather. All in all a good and somewhat odd (toward the end) visit.

Jessica K.

Yelp
In a rough day of wine tasting, this place was a beacon of light. Beautiful facility! Knowledgeable friendly staff. I think the woman who was pouring could have made dirt sound interesing, but luckily their wine was extremely tasty. No white wine here! It's all about the reds! I liked everything I tried which is pretty rare but my three faves were: Nebbiolo Barbera Mountain Cuvee They have a restaurant that is currently open Friday and Saturday as well as Sunday brunch. I didn't get to try the food but the menu looks delicious and the chef offers cooking classes. The wine club has a few different levels and appears to be a good value. Overall I was really pleased with our visit and can't wait to come back and try out the restaurant!

Jeremy T.

Yelp
Best rosé ever! Amazing wine in general, Amazing staff, and the view is perfect! Such a great overall experience!

Shanna K.

Yelp
What? Someone who is producing more than Pinot Noir in Willamette Valley? Get the fuck out of here. But yes, Virginia, it's true. Cuneo has Sangiovese, Nebbiolo, Bordeaux style blends, and Syrah. Most of which are quite good. They offer two flights, a regular and a library flight. I recommend trying both (there is an extra fee)... the library wines are well worth it. The also offer Pinot Noir, of course... but if you're burnt out on that (yes I know.. not possible..but humor me) it's worth a stop here for a change of pace. Sweet little tasting room, helpful staff and again, one of the few (at this time) open during the off-season.

Julie W.

Yelp
Spent the afternoon with friends at this beautiful winery. Our server Sam was so hospitable and knowledgeable, made our visit extra special. Thank you for a great time and great wine! And.....Cana's feast is lucky to have such a charming server!

Colette J.

Yelp
Saturday service was busy with live music and a food truck but the service was extremely good. They made sure we had all we needed. Sam was our server and was at hand when needed and had great info about the wine. The wine is great with lots of varietals. This is a place to come for great wine and a lovely patio hang out. Highly recommend it. Also, they are supporting our COVID-19 efforts by giving a discount to first responders. I'm a nurse and greatly appreciate this generous discount to help me relax after a stressful day.

Kalani C.

Yelp
Thad W's review is spot on: http://www.yelp.com/biz/canas-feast-winery-carlton#hrid:_d05frzde8x7sZ_XGM3e5Q However, we particularly enjoyed these wines and felt were one of the highlights on our wine tour. They are undergoing changes, including relabeling to reflect the winery's name instead of the current Bricco label. Yes, confusing. Despite this we proceeded with their $10 6-flight tasting. Their 2009 Rosato was bright and brilliant with summer fruit. Perfect for the hot day it was becoming. Next up was the 2007 Pinot Noir with a smokey, almost bonfire nose that was way too easy on the palate (a good thing). We eased pass the 2006 Sangiovese then arrived at the 2006 Riserva with aromatic vanilla and pillow soft tannins. My friend ended up purchasing this. The last two wines were the impressive 2006 Syrah that sported mature, jammy fruit and the 2006 Two Rivers Reserve with its plum and cherry notes that I ended up purchasing and fell in love with the night before at La Rambla: http://www.yelp.com/biz/la-rambla-restaurant-and-bar-mcminnville#hrid:6gIa6GkUbsCM80YYbk2Ptw Overall, a very nice diversion from the usual Pinot possessed passion of the region. We enjoyed chicken liver pâté and crackers outside enjoying the fields of gold view. Our pourer was very accommodating and informative about the various types of tannins and where they can be detected on the tongue. I inquired about their wine club as individual bottles were reasonably priced from $12-35. However, shipping alone to HI was a flat rate of $75, yikes! Damn that Pacific Ocean!

Dan P.

Yelp
Cana's Feast Winery brings Italian varietals and attitude to the Willamette Valley. Just outside of Carlton the winery shares its home with a full service Mediterranean restaurant. While I have not eaten there I have heard good things. The grounds are well manicured and views vast, best appreciated from the large outside patio. A unique touch is the clay bed bocce courts out front which encourage you to grab a bottle and go throw your balls around. Walk through a side entrance to find the elongated tasting room with bar almost running its length. I found a lot of people this day who were loud and boisterous therefore the service was spotty, unless of course you were waving your wallet around. The wines are produced using fruit sourced from Washington mainly in the Columbia Valley. I don't even think they produce white wines? What they do produce are big, powerful, full-bodied reds with rich fruits and chewy mouth feel. The staff while knowledgeable was fairly arrogant; I felt they wanted to correct rather than to educate. Other than listening to scientific facts I tuned them out to let the wines do the talking. The ones that spoke the most clearly were the Sangiovese, Barbera, Two Rivers and Nebbiolo. Each had a very consistent fruit profile where tastes of dark cherries, fig, allspice, cassis, mocha or oak intermingled. Most were heavy handed tipping the scales near or well past 15% alcohol yet had very balanced acidity. I think my favorite was the Nebbiolo, athough not available at the time all it took was a little coaxing to convince them to sell me a few bottles. Other than rarity its allure was its ability to pack one hell of a tannic punch toward my taste buds! I love me some stiff tannins. While I had wished for friendlier service I can't ignore the wines quality which offsets the experience. So even though I love Pinot when you're looking for something more substantial Cana's Feast is a step in the right direction.

Jacque D.

Yelp
My family spent a lovely afternoon this past Wednesday tasting a flight plus several bonus pours. Our server was very attentive and welcoming. We loved their Rose and the 2016 Cab Franc from Slide Mountain was wonderful. Also, thanks to Amy for taking care of shipping a bottle to Florida for an anniversary gift. I've been a member for a year and have enjoyed all of their wines and all of the staff have been gracious and welcoming.

Jim S.

Yelp
Not just another stop for NW Pinot! Cana's Feast Winemaker Patrick Taylors' ambitious use of Italian Varietals makes this winery unique among the many choices in the YC area. Chief among the accomplishments is the release of Taylors' Chinato. If you get a chance to talk to Patrick about this Vermouth you will easily find the connection from maker to wine. His passion for the use of herbs, spices and aromatics stems from a love of cooking, and he has cooked up something very special here. I walked away with an '09 Primitivo which is still young and tight, but even in it's immaturity is delightfully spicy and bold. Of course I couldn't leave without a bottle of the Chinato and I can't wait to play with cocktail variations using this delightful concoction. Italy incarnate in Yamhill!

Mike K.

Yelp
A good, solid winery in the middle of Winetown USA. They have a Pinot Noir that's really unique, and a Syrah that's out of this world. They have a nice selection that ranges from Not-cheap-but-definitely-affordable to Tastes-great-but-I-want-to-pay-the-mortgage-this-month. I believe the tasting fee is $10 for 6 or 7 wines. And although they didn't expressly tell me they were going to, when I bought two bottles they waived both our tasting fees, which was a pleasant surprise. If you're heading to Carlton you really should check these guys out.

Beverly M.

Yelp
2nd stop on my celebation wine tour by limo. 10 people, hour and a half drive, 2nd winery, ok, we weren't really able to "taste" the wine by now. We like a blended rose they offered. The bocci ball courts are the neatest thing I've seen. We were too late to order food because they stop serving at 3pm. I'd love to go there for lunch some day.

Terri V.

Yelp
Loved all of these wines! Sam was an amazing plethora of information about the wines and their regions and so personable. We highly recommend visiting!!

Catherine G.

Yelp
I've already reviewed their wines which I love but yesterday my husband and I went there for lunch and what a fabulous surprise it was. The only caveat I have: make reservations if you're interested. They get really busy. That aside the menu is fresh and local and perfectly sized for lunch. Plus they kindly recommend pairings with their wines. I started with peaches wrapped in prosciutto and grilled served on arugula. It was so good that despite promising my husband a bite I inhaled the entire portion. The peaches were perfectly ripe the prosciutto crispy and the flavor both smoky and fresh. My husband had the pate with red onion jam and while I am not a big pate fan the blend of its richness with the sweetness of the jam was delicious. For my entree I had fresh corn puree soup with crab and an orange infused olive oil. Wow. I'm not sophisticated enough to do this dish justice but the orange and olive oil against the corn and crab- all sweet but in such different ways. Again no sharing. Given how much we like their wine and now their lunch there may be a dinner update in my future!

Andrea W.

Yelp
One of my favorite wineries in Oregon. As they say, "Go Big Red, or Go Home!" Right!? These guys make big bold reds like Barbera, Sangiovese, Syrah, Cab Sauv, Primitivo, Nebbiolo, and some incredible blends like the Two Rivers and Mountain Cuvee. When friends come to visit us for a day of wine tasting, Cana's is always on the list. Their patio makes a perfect picnic spot, and in the land of Pinots, you couldn't ask for a more vibrant and unique tasting flight. Really great crew here too, they always welcome us like family.

Ria J.

Yelp
Graft Italy into the NW and you get... aloha spirit?! Not to mention some innovative varietals to keep an eye on. We were very fortunate our steward took pleasure in not just pouring, but educating us, and discussing wine and food in general. Maybe we just got lucky or maybe it is something in the yeast here because after this tasting I bubbled with aloha spirit too.

R H.

Yelp
Had a great group dinner here. The food was excellent and the location stunning. We were outside so I have no idea how we would have fared if it had been cold and rainy. The wine was really nice with food unlike so many US offerings.

Jere W.

Yelp
After a long morning of wine tasting in Carlton, we were looking forward to a bit of a rest and a short repast. Sadly, although only three groups of people were seated it took us 25 minutes to be directed to our seat. From the moment our server came to our table we felt like we were bothering her. The portions were small and the food was forgettable. There must be something wrong with management that creates an inconsistent environment. Jere

Yelp
Great big reds! Wish we lived closer. Nice outdoor area for relaxing with a great glass of wine and a picnic we brought along.

Gordon P.

Yelp
Our midday stop was at Cana's Feast Winery in Carlton. Cana's Feast is not only a full operational winery but also a superb place to enjoy a wine country repast. Cana's Enoteca lunch most Saturdays and Sundays during the summer was just what we wanted, for a long leisurely lunch outside of a Tuscan style villa and grounds. I take from their web page, At Cana's Feast Winery, Resident Chef Lisa Lanxon lets the season and local ingredients inspire her menus of Italian and Mediterranean cuisine. Her approach is to source the best products available and prepare them with an Italian sensibility, highlighting them with pure flavors to let their character shine. The Cucina is a scratch kitchen where everything is made by hand, from bread and pasta to chutneys and jams. "It is the only way I know how to cook." In the summer, the Enoteca menu is driven by what is ripe at the moment in the winery garden. The garden is planted and worked by master gardener Brittney Deming. "It is a privilege to work with someone as passionate about their work as Brittney. She is committed to organic gardening and works tirelessly to make sure our garden is as pure as it can be. I love to arrive early in the morning, walk down to the garden and chat with Brittney about which vegetables are ready to harvest and make their way onto the menu." I've been going here for a couple of years and it's always a thrill. On this trip we started with, Chicken Liver Pate and Red Onion Jam with toasted French bread and Mixed Antipasti of Proscuitto di Parma, Gorgonzola Dolce, oil cured tomatoes, roasted garlic, pan tossed almonds and warm olives, yum, yum. For our main or "Secondi" course we had, Carlton Farms pork burger with Peperoncini Aioli, olive tapenade and Arugula on toasted handmade bun. There was also a delightful Couscous with garlic, sun dried tomato and cilantro. Our other treat was, Pan fried Razor clams, Arugula, Moroccan olives, preserved lemon caper Aioli, give this a triple yum, the best clams I've ever had! There are also their superb wines by the bottle or glass and if you don't mind the walk into the tasting room for $5.00 you can taste five of their wines, which are a real treat with lunch. The winery offers formal coursed dinners and less formal shared-table dinners also wine maker dinners, great stuff. They even have two bocce ball or lawn bowling courts outside, fun. So go already, it's a wine country enchantment.

Michelle W.

Yelp
Join this wine club! The wines are wonderful, and the quarterly pickup is a true Feast! Each selection is paired with a sumptuous small plate -- and the recipe! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Be sure to bring your wine tote for an opportunity to win the raffle prize. I've been a member for a few years, and my friends all want to be the one to go with me.

Laura P.

Yelp
Wonderful, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Delicious wine. Highly recommended! Thanks for a great stop!

Kit E.

Yelp
OREGON...famous for their pinots! YUP! And out of most of the wineries we tried in the Willamette Valley area, we really liked their 2004 Pinot Noir the best! A beautiful winery with great views and bocci ball courts. What fun!

Joan D.

Yelp
We love this winery! It's our go to spot whenever we are wine tasting in the Willamette Valley. The beautiful setting alone is worth a visit, and we always discover wines we want to take home. The tasting room staff is knowledgeable and friendly. We recently brought friends here for their first visit, and let's just say they now are fans as well.

Yelp
It was the end of the equestrian wine touring day and we were starving. It was hot and sunny and we all elected to go to Cana's Feast's for a late lunch. The hostess/wait person seemed very stressed, unfriendly and not helpful. We saw the patio was busy and she told us it would be a wait, but didn't make any suggestion as to what to do while we waited (as in, "go check out our tasting room!". We finally asked if we could go out on the other patio and wait...which we did. The bread melted in my mouth. The sandwiches were absolutely delicious (I had the pesto veggie sandwich) ,However, when we ordered the "selection of cheeses", I had this fantasy that we'd share it and pass it around the table. It consisted of a couple of nibbles of a couple of cheeses and some almonds. Really?? So much for the sharing idea. My friend asked for ice for her water and she was told they don't have an ice machine on the premises and they have to truck it in and... We had the same person who greeted us initially. Uh oh. She was still having a bad day...

Yelp
Fun and knowledge host! Good wines, nice visit. The architecture pleasantly Tuscan.

Yelp
Cana's Feast made the 15 people in our bike + winery tour pretty damn happy. After lunch, a tasting, and a bocce tournament, we were tempted to stay there the whole day (and, after a lousy experience at the unfriendly Willakenzie Estate, we wished we had). Welcoming, knowledgeable staff made us feel welcome (the advance reservation helped), and sat us promptly for lunch, which was simply amazing. The Carlton-raised pork burger (yes, pork burger) featured pepperoncini aoli, dark greens, olive tapenade... and rocked my world. Everything else on the menu (we tried most of it) ranged from fantastic to good. Highly pleasant tasting. The pinot noir was much more complex than you'd expect from such a relatively inexpensive bottle, and I was equally happy (and even more pleasantly surprised) by the $17 table red. Other highlights: the double-barreled bocce courts, the better-than-average view, and the proximity to the cute lil' town of Carlton. Fifteen thumbs up from our crew... several folks likened it to spending an afternoon in Tuscany.

Yelp
Cana's Feast was a delightful fine while we stayed in Carlton. They only serve dinner a few nights a week, and we were lucky enough to get to dine there. Seated on the patio overlooking the vineyard and mountains, we enjoyed an incredible 3 course fixed price meal for $25 a person which included a glass of wine for each of us. Well worth the price - it was truly a feast.

Yelp
The Barbera was exceptional! Blends good too. A good place if you are needing a break from Pinot overload! Although, I can't seem to get enough of Dundee Hills Pinot Noir! Bocce courts and directly across the street from where I stayed in Carlton!

Yelp
We are club members and love the selections of wines that are featured during the pick up parties. They also have a wonderful pairing with hors d' oeurves. A great taste of Italy near Hillsboro.

Yelp
This was one of my favorite wineries, with wonderful Pinots... The food however, with the new chef and slightly curtailed menu was a delight. The liver pate and the Chantrelle mushroom appetizer made my mouth water. The pork burger was out of this world, juicy and different. I think we had almost all the appetizers and nothing was disappointing... Terrific! Good job Cana's Feast. A feast indeed...

Yelp
I prefer to give my business to wineries and tasting rooms where the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Whatever the quality of the wine, it is not made better by pretentious staff with a bad attitude. Skip this place and go to the many other wineries and tasting rooms in the area that offer good wine served with a good attitude. While the location is lovely and the wine is pretty good, I won't go again. Serious thumbs down.
