CANCHITA - Peruvian Cuisine

The service was impeccable and the food is stunning! The ceviche is a must try, bright and amazing flavours of sweet, spice, sour and umami. We ordered the iberico pork and another mixed seafood dish. they were both flavourful in different ways. special mention to the iberico pork, the depth of acorn nuttiness shines through, a true display of the quality of meat used. service staff were jovial and added so much to the experience too! thank you for having us and for such a lovely experience of a delightful cuisine :)

Canchita has been on my to-visit list for awhile and it certainly did not disappoint. The food was exceptional of course (strongly recommend the grilled octopus and fish tacos) but what really stood out was the service from Fiona. She elevated the dinning experience with her knowledge of Peruvian cuisine, special care to details and overall hospitality. My mom took to her instantly. My only grouse is the long flight of stairs which is not easy for senior citizens to navigate.

Canchita is a vibrant gem tucked away in Dempsey Hill, bringing the lively flavours of Peru to Singapore. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with colourful decor and a relaxed Latin vibe that makes it perfect for both casual dinners and special occasions. Having been to Peru, I wanted to relive those memories and try out this place to see if it deserves its certificate of authentic Peruvian food. Trust me- it does! The ceviche is a standout — fresh, zesty, and perfectly balanced — while the lomo saltado and anticuchos showcase authentic Peruvian flair with a modern twist. The service is attentive yet unpretentious, and the staff are happy to recommend dishes or explain ingredients unfamiliar to first-timers. Prices are on the higher side, but well worth it for the quality and experience. A must-visit spot for anyone wanting to explore Latin American cuisine in a beautiful, leafy setting.

What an awesome place to enjoy a meal, especially as a group, since the dishes are perfect for sharing! The atmosphere is really nice, with a beautiful backdrop of lush greenery and an interior filled with plants that creates a wonderful, relaxing vibe. All the dishes we tried were tasty and so well presented. The absolute highlight of our meal was the tropical scallop ceviche pictured here - it was incredibly fresh and flavorful. Highly recommended for a delicious and out-of-the-ordinary Peruvian dining experience!

First time having Peruvian cuisine. The food was amazing at Canchita. Their Ceviche Classico is a must order. The Lomo Saltado ie stir fry wagyu beef and the pasta Huacaina were also really good. I will recommend for a cosy evening dinner place for couples or small group of friends.

octopus was actually part of the dinner menu but we managed to get it for lunch. appreciate the staff for checking with the kitchen. loved the food and the interior. the drinks (non-alcoholic) were good

Food was amazing, service was impeccable and the ambience was stunning. There is this grilled octopus that is on the dinner menu (but not on the lunch menu) - but you can still order it. MUST ORDER! We probably order every single one of their ceviches, and Classico was an absolute HIT! 💯 Rest are also very good. Chicken was a bit dry.

20 July 2025 First time to have a Peruvian dinner. I have no idea what sort of food they are serving. We order what the waiters recommended, mostly with the stars on the menu. Most of the food is pretty good. But some of the sauces are too sour for us. Love their octopus, tender, and not tough or chewy. That's really surprising for us. Cause usually when we order octopus at other places, it's tough and chewy when it gets cold, Will be back to try their other menus.

Came here for a friends birthday dinner. It was a special prix fix menu and everything was delicious. Portions were big too and we struggled to finish our food. My favorite was the tostada Marina that comes served with Uni and scallops on a crispy corn tortilla. So delicious! The braised beef cheeks was super tender and juicy as well. Service was decent and the restaurant was lively, though not too loud for a nice dinner with a group of friends.

I would give this place a 5 for its vibe and friendly staff! Beautiful decor - fun place to hang out with friends. The seafood was not as fresh as I would get in California but the mango/passion fruit flavor hit the tropical spot for me. I enjoyed their tamarindo margarita!

The food was great, however the service was typically Singaporean. An initial contract was rude and unfortunately classist then overly polite waiter trying to compensate. Generally the ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant only spoiled by the service.

Traditional Ceviche the star for sure. Dessert however was a miss. A tad too sweet.
