"For Peruvian fare, you really can’t do better than the awe-inspiring spread at this rustic spot set in a former barrack in Dempsey. Helmed by husband-and-wife chef team Daniel and Tamara Chavez, the menu is packed with delightful Peruvian hits — and some tacos — like ceviches (try the ceviche clásico), arroz chaufa (Peruvian Chinese fried rice), and a Peruvian fisherman’s soup." - Evelyn Chen

What an awesome place to enjoy a meal, especially as a group, since the dishes are perfect for sharing! The atmosphere is really nice, with a beautiful backdrop of lush greenery and an interior filled with plants that creates a wonderful, relaxing vibe. All the dishes we tried were tasty and so well presented. The absolute highlight of our meal was the tropical scallop ceviche pictured here - it was incredibly fresh and flavorful. Highly recommended for a delicious and out-of-the-ordinary Peruvian dining experience!

Had a lovely dinner with a friend last night. While walking through the back area of Dempsey, we discovered a peaceful and beautiful CANCHITA Peruvian cuisine. We didn't have a reservation action but were warmly welcomed and got a table as long as we finished before 7.30pm- really appreciated the manager's flexibility! The ambience was cozy, and the service was excellent. Special thanks to Han, who patiently explained the menu and even offered a red wine tasting. the only thing I mentioned was that I prefer dishes served one by one instead of all at once- the manager took note and was very kind.

This Peruvian restaurant at Dempsey Hill offers a delightful introduction to Peruvian cuisine with its wide variety of dishes. Even as a first-timer, I found the food incredibly delicious and surprisingly easy to enjoy. The standout for me was the ceviche — incredibly refreshing, with a burst of flavors that highlight the freshness of the seafood. The taste is beautifully balanced, with just the right amount of sourness, sweetness, and natural brininess from the seafood. What made the experience even better was the super friendly staff. Their warm hospitality and attentiveness added a welcoming touch, making the whole dining experience not just enjoyable, but memorable. Definitely a place worth visiting again!

20 July 2025 First time to have a Peruvian dinner. I have no idea what sort of food they are serving. We order what the waiters recommended, mostly with the stars on the menu. Most of the food is pretty good. But some of the sauces are too sour for us. Love their octopus, tender, and not tough or chewy. That's really surprising for us. Cause usually when we order octopus at other places, it's tough and chewy when it gets cold, Will be back to try their other menus.

Came for and early dinner. The ceviche was delicious and well prepared. Every item had a nice unique taste. Service was great as well. The drinks are colorful and pretty.

Out of the way of Singapore city, but this enclave of restaurants and designer shops, including art galleries, offers an exclusive dining experience. If you haven't tried Peruvian fare, when in Singapore, try this place. Reasonably priced but very personal in terms of service. Quiet too, surrounded by lush greenery make you feel as if you are dining out in the South American jungle.

Foods are okay, felt a bit too salty. It was quite busy as for a Sunday night. There was nice music Latina playing and adding plus to the place. Surrounded greenery view, you feel you are somewhere else more than Dempsey.

Service was fantastic. I think our server was Audrey. The textures of the Causa Crab were great. Some spiciness I think from wasabi, but also creamy from the potatoes and crab, and juicy saltiness from the roe. Tacos were great too. The food is quite salty, so do take note if that’s not your thing. Ambience is also great with a nice green view. Didn’t try any cocktails. Total came to $120 for the items pictured. I don’t know much about Peruvian food so I can’t comment on authenticity but it was all enjoyable.

Yelp
Came here for a friends birthday dinner. It was a special prix fix menu and everything was delicious. Portions were big too and we struggled to finish our food. My favorite was the tostada Marina that comes served with Uni and scallops on a crispy corn tortilla. So delicious! The braised beef cheeks was super tender and juicy as well. Service was decent and the restaurant was lively, though not too loud for a nice dinner with a group of friends.

Yelp
I would give this place a 5 for its vibe and friendly staff! Beautiful decor - fun place to hang out with friends. The seafood was not as fresh as I would get in California but the mango/passion fruit flavor hit the tropical spot for me. I enjoyed their tamarindo margarita!

Yelp
The food was great, however the service was typically Singaporean. An initial contract was rude and unfortunately classist then overly polite waiter trying to compensate. Generally the ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant only spoiled by the service.

Yelp
Traditional Ceviche the star for sure. Dessert however was a miss. A tad too sweet.
