CANCHITA - Peruvian Cuisine

Interesting Peruvian restaurant! The setting is charming and close to nature. Outdoor seating is pet friendly, which makes for a relaxing experience. This is a great spot if you are looking to try a different kind of cuisine. The menu offers many unique dishes. Some are quite salty, and others use distinctive condiments, so be ready for bold flavors. The tacos are especially worth trying. Service is average and not particularly impressive, but the overall experience is still enjoyable. A nice place to explore something new.

Our new favourite spot in Dempsey! Canchita is an absolute gem — stunning ambience, warm service, and truly exceptional food. We had the Lomo Saltado (stir-fried wagyu beef), Peruvian Prawn Bisque Pasta, Green Plantain Crackers with Guacamole, and a tomato pasta for our son — every dish was incredible. The flavours were fresh, balanced, and beautifully presented. A perfect mix of great vibe, top-notch food, and genuine hospitality. We’ll definitely be back soon!

It was such an awesome dining experience here - the delectable food, the vibrant atmosphere to the friendly service crew. The dishes we had are truly fabulous. Singapore is undoubtedly a food paradise, proving there is no need to travel far for an authentic taste of Peruvian cuisine. Reservations are definitely required and the restaurant was completely full when we visited on a Friday evening.

Having tried real Peruvian food in Cusco, Areqipa and Lima before, we came in very highly excited. We ordered 4 starred items in their menu and their chicha. Overall, we would say it's 30% authentic - most likely due to the ingredients that you can't easily get like the Peruvian potatoes, sprouts, corn, meat that is just understandably impossible to source. The ceviche and seafood platter was fresh and 6.5/10 in taste, the rest we wouldnt recommend. Service is bordering unfriendly as our main server was rushing us through our meal. Ambience is nice for groups of 4-6

Food was great and the service was even better. Our server, a Chinese gentleman, was very knowledgeable and gave us excellent recommendations. We really enjoyed the Octopus A La Brasa, Mariscada, Arroz Con Pato, New Alfajores, and Tres Leches. But the standout for me was definitely the Tres Leches dessert — absolutely amazing!

The service was impeccable and the food is stunning! The ceviche is a must try, bright and amazing flavours of sweet, spice, sour and umami. We ordered the iberico pork and another mixed seafood dish. they were both flavourful in different ways. special mention to the iberico pork, the depth of acorn nuttiness shines through, a true display of the quality of meat used. service staff were jovial and added so much to the experience too! thank you for having us and for such a lovely experience of a delightful cuisine :)

My 1st rendezvous with Peruvian food. Excellent plating and all dishes looked good. I found most to be a bit sour for my liking. The meat platters and all meaty stuff were well cooked and flavorful. Pisco sour was good too. Nice and courteous wait staff who fulfilled all our requests.

First time trying south american cuisine. Quite interesting. Ordered those recommended on the menu. Total bill for 8 dishes and 4 cocktails almost $400. Abit pricey but ok for an occasional treat.

I would give this place a 5 for its vibe and friendly staff! Beautiful decor - fun place to hang out with friends. The seafood was not as fresh as I would get in California but the mango/passion fruit flavor hit the tropical spot for me. I enjoyed their tamarindo margarita!

Came here for a friends birthday dinner. It was a special prix fix menu and everything was delicious. Portions were big too and we struggled to finish our food. My favorite was the tostada Marina that comes served with Uni and scallops on a crispy corn tortilla. So delicious! The braised beef cheeks was super tender and juicy as well. Service was decent and the restaurant was lively, though not too loud for a nice dinner with a group of friends.

The food was great, however the service was typically Singaporean. An initial contract was rude and unfortunately classist then overly polite waiter trying to compensate. Generally the ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant only spoiled by the service.

Traditional Ceviche the star for sure. Dessert however was a miss. A tad too sweet.

nice setting, friendly service, delicious food ( esp the guacamole.) will definitely return!
