Iris makes DELICIOUS cakes! I had ordered a cake for my micro-wedding and for my sister’s birthday-everybody including myself were so impressed with the taste on both cakes! My sister said she loved her cake and rates it the best tres leches cake she has ever had! I highly recommend her for any cake/desert services as she also had let me try her banana pudding and other cake flavors.

We’ve ordered cakes here because my daughter has always requested it. We ordered a cake two years ago and the size was perfect. This year we tried to order the same size but were convinced it would be too small. It wasn’t. We wasted half of the cake and it was thrown out. I shouldn’t have listened to the lady upselling me and going against my better judgement. The cake was just a centerpiece because we had 50 gourmet cupcakes on towers ordered from another shop. However, the taste was good and the decoration was exactly how my daughter wanted it. The daughter of the owner is extremely kind, I can’t say the same for some of the employees who answer the phone; basic manners and customer service are significantly lacking. I don’t think I’ll be back because the price has gone up significantly. I can get a gourmet, beautifully decorated cake from a European bakery for less.

Candelaria’s made my wedding reception cake, let me start off by saying that their customer service is amazing. I was invited for a taste test to choose my cake flavors, even though I wanted to keep it simple - vanilla & chocolate. I am SO thankful she did that because I ended up going in a totally different direction once I tried the various cake flavors offered. THANK YOU! I sent her a design inspiration photo, we discussed in person and she really brought my vision to life. It truly turned out SO beautiful and tasted even better. It was perfect. We got so many compliments. Thank you Candelaria’s!!!

The cake was okay. I payed extra for fruit and decoration. I waited over an hour after scheduled pick up time. I would not recommend look else where if you want better results in cake decoration. First photo is the inspo photo. Cost of cake $75.

I am so upset with the quality of the cake it was full of sticks not only plastic but also wood something that could undoubtedly be dangerous when biting it apart from that the decorations were not edible it was full of small wires and balls of unicel several small ones took it to the mouth along with the wire this could be dangerous for the little guests and it was so embarrassing with my guests since several complained about the wire that brought the whole cake and advised me not to distribute it anymore

My family always orders cakes for all our special occasions and cakes are always so pretty and delicious! Now, I am planning m wedding and went to order my cake in person. I was blown away with the outstanding customer service! Oh, and they treat their staff so good too! I had plenty of cake tasting and I cannot wait to see my wedding cake! I am absolutely sure I will be beyond pleased.

Ana and her team made an amazing cake for my mom and her sisters’ birthdays! At first we thought it might be too big but it fed so many people and there was nothing left! The cake was SO DELICIOUS and made with fresh fruit inside! Great job, will definitely return for another cake!

I've been ordering cakes from this bakery for the past 8 years, and they have never once disappointed me. The cakes are always delicious, JUICY, fluffy, and beautifully handcrafted. There are two bakers here, but I highly recommend that you always ask for Iris. Her work is absolutely incredible and consistently perfect. If you want a cake that looks amazing and tastes even better, make sure to order with Iris! service is always the best !

I needed 48 cakes with 3 days notice as my now former bakery would not be able to provided a product worthy of presenting at a party. Candelaria was recommended to me by a friend and she came through with exactly what I was looking for. The guests loved how cute the kid's rock climbing cupcakes were and everyone commented on how delicious they were. I'm so happy things turned out how they did because I have found my permanent bakery.

I've trusted Candelaria's for years! It never fails that when I see the end result of my order, it's always more than what I ask. They have won my heart and I will always come back!!

I went in ordered two cakes and only mentioned two colors for each cake (you would think it wouldn't be difficult to understand) I go and pick up the cakes and guess what the colors are no where to see. When a customer ask for two colors only you would think that they would use said two colors to keep the customer satisfied. As I mentioned that they were wrong they actually had the audacity to say the color is there, it's the small dots that can't been seen. And the decorations are so plain and just pointless I had to go out of my way to go buy more decorations to ensure people understand the theme of the cake. Piece of advice when going to order a cake make sure they the person who's helping you has some level of knowledge of what your saying so you leave satisfied and not having to fix the mistakes a "professional" bakery makes.

Ordered a cake for the first time a year ago. Cake was not what we ordered at all from the flavor to the icing and to top it off Workers were rude when this was brought up. didn't take it serious everyone has bad days so I let slide. Now a year later decided to give them another chance and they didn't even make the cake at all. Worst place ever save yourself your money and a headache and go somewhere else.

Iris did it again and made my birthday one to remember. I had a lotería themed party where my friends dressed up as characters or objects from the bingo cards. The cake was a huge hit! Everyone that was at Fridas Social Club was asking who had created such a fabulous cake! I even gave your FB and Instagram information. The tastes and decor was next level!

This place has changed so much throughout the years. I've been coming here for about 15 years of what i can remember and the recent 2-3 years the younger ladies have been so RUDE every single time. Not only make a fit about any little detail change you want. Oh and their snappy af in the kitchen they do NOT care if their CUSTOS can listen!!! I miss the OG's so much. This place has just gone down hill. I'm sorry for the owners having these younger employees messing up their business they have worked really hard for... it's sad I'm sad.

My family has been ordering cakes from them for about 30 years. It started off as a home business and the cakes were delicious and decor are awful. We repeatedly have asked for specific decor and they always bathe it in their awful colors. We ordered a plain cake for Mother's Day and it had glitter. I know it's edible but it was gritty and no one really finished it. We decided the cake would still be good if we removed the icing (this was for a small, private family lunch). We realized that their cake structure is incorrect and they hide the gaps in the cake with icing. Sadly, we will not be ordering from them anymore.

Bad customer service. Hours of operation reflected 6pm closing. A family member was at the location getting a few samples of the cakes and wasn't accommodated or told that the business wouldn't be able to serve us past 5pm. Wasted an hour drive to get to the location. Samples weren't good either. Cake towers were okay decoratively but at this point I don't recommend this place. Weddings are supposed to be a happy time and exciting time, but this place doesn't make it feel that way.

This is the best bakery for sure. The people are so friendly and they take care of you very nicely . Ana is the best. She was so professional and made us feel very comfortable there. We got a chocolate baileys cake. It was perfectly decorated and so delicious. We will definitely come back here. Good job!!!!!

I have been ordering cakes from them for years and they are pretty. I've always stuck with the envinado which is like a rum cake. I can't speak on the other flavors but envinado is delicious. The last cake I ordered was for my brothers birthday dinner I was hosting. As soon as he cut the first slice of cake after we sang happy birthday, here came a big long black hair on the first slice! Sooo embarrassing! That ruined the whole birthday cuz no one wanted cake after that ‍

We were considering this bakery for our wedding cake. We went to a cake tasting and it went ok. We had also ordered a birthday cake and this made us decide to look elsewhere for our $1,200 wedding cake. The birthday cake was very dense, hard and not flavorful. It was at or over 3 inches thick of their "signature" envinado cake. I was very disappointed that a cake that thick did not have a filling of either frosting or marmalade in the center to balance it out. I was very disappointed and for a half sheet cake, more than half of it went in the trash- and we LOVE cake. But sadly, not this one.

Disappointed!! I ordered a cake for my daughters birthday and it was very disappointing. I sent them an actual picture and i got a cake that looks like i could've made it myself. I've seen they have so much bad reviews but i didn't want to believe them. I guess they were right. Sad, coz they've been in this business for so long and is well known. The good part was the cake tasted good and was moist.

I've been coming for years and as the years have gone by the customer service had declined. To begin with the way they look up the orders is archaic, Candelarias they have tablets nowadays and im sure theres an app for that. Asking us about details you should kniw sych as is it paid for and not knowing that it is! Going on with YOUR business has o be bad for business. Maybe one of then noticed that I'm drafting this as we wait for our cake... they are close to boxing out after it was being packed they smeared the frosting on the box. She's must have seen my face she opted to take it back and fix the smart by adding fit on the damage to cover it up. In the end we end up with an overpriced cake and this reviews is going to be updated and see what the rates was like

My dad ordered my birthday cake ( envinado ) with Ana one of the owner's daughter. She was super nice and very friendly. We ordered it just the way we wanted it decorated. My cake was put in the cake box very careful and handle with care made it home with no smear. Cake was so mosit and delicious. Customer satisfied. Super busy place they had a line out the door.

Hands down my go-to bakery for cakes! They've provided beautiful, DELICIOUS cakes for several birthdays and special events in my life, and people constantly rave about them. I love that they are able to create extremely creative and detailed cakes without the use of yucky fondant. I really can't say enough positive things. Iris is a genius!! Highly recommended!

I first found out about Candelaria's bakery on my quince I got my cake from here and ever since I've been loyal to them Im currently 23 now and I have kids and for all birthdays or celebrations I have bought my cakes from them I have never had an issue and they made the cake I find on google they will work hard to make it identical to what I ask for I will always recommend thank you keep up the great work

Wow. Is the only expression I have. They have a lack of communication and professionalism. Had very a awful experience getting a cake from here as they don't show any courteousness towards customers.

If zero stars was available, I would use it to rate my dissatisfaction with this business. I placed a order with this bakery and i made it VERY specific on what i wanted. I arrived to only find that my cake was NOT ready and while it being prepared to be boxed, i noticed that the cake that was being boxed wasn't mine. I asked to be sure and the worker told me AFTER i asked that it wasn't what i wanted and there was a confusion prior to me arriving and they had swapped the cakes accidentally. After refusing to accept the cake that wasn't what i wanted, they kept trying to push the fact that the additions they made were compensation for the mistake because they were "extra charges". I was so frustrated that i just accepted the cake and went on with my day. When we cut the cake, we soon realized that one side of the cake was burnt. I would never come here again nor would i EVER recommend this place

She did my wedding cake and it was amazing!!! it tasted delicious and it was beautiful. I have been ordering cakes from her ever since.

Three layers of amazing moist, tasty goodness topped with a light frosting that allowed the flavor of the cake shine through. The cake was decorated beautifully and boxed well with no issues. Yes, their prices are a bit higher but the cake was perfect and none of it was wasted. No one left a half eaten piece of cake. It was SO delicious, the birthday girl had only a small portion to take home for herself! I ordered and paid by phone and a friend picked up the cake for me.

My family has been ordering from the place for 20 plus years...that's the only reason I am giving this place one star and also because the app won't let me post without giving it one star. I called on Tuesday to order a cake for today Saturday. When I was asked what time I could pick up that cake, I said anytime after ten. I was then told that I needed to be more specific because they are extremely busy. When I took a moment to think about the time (since on a Saturday picking up a cake is not my only task) I was told not to worry that if I didn't pick it up on time it would be sold to another customer, since they are extremely busy. The ONLY reason I went ahead and ordered the cake was because my mother loves it. I personally can do without and can find way better cakes, and definitely better service at other bakeries in the DFW. It saddens me that the customer service has become so horrible when we the customers have honestly made this place "extremely busy". Candelaria you might want to think about who is taking orders!

Definitely recommend candelarias bakery! Friendly staff. But definitely recommend Ana, always friendly and knows what I want.

I ordered a cake for my daughters birthday a couple of months ago and was number 1, when we went to pick it up they said they did not have an order for us, highly disappointed! Called today to order one for my husbands birthday and told they are not doing any tres leches cakes until September. I have been going here for years and the service just keeps getting worse. I will not be giving them another chance to just be disappointed again. If you plan on ordering here make sure they are even still making the cake you want and call back several times to make sure they have your order or you will be disappointed too! It would have been nice you to have put on social media that they are currently not making a certain cake/cakes!

I do not recommend this bakery, yeah there cakes are pretty and nicely decorated but the service is really bad and the cakes are really over priced. The staff were very rude and didnt want to compromise and advised to take business elswhere.I though the saying was "the customer is always right" I guess not here. but overall not a good experience and please dont spend your money here.

Ordered tres leches for my daughters birthday. Got a sopping mess of a cake. No thanks not again. I've ordered here twice and got the same crap service and results. Worst fear of not having your cake ready on the day of birthday event come to life here(even if you order 3 weeks in advance for a single layer cake!)

Worst customer service ever!! I had to call more than 20 times in order to get an answer. I show up there expecting my cake to be ready, yet they inform me there was a mixed up & that they gave my cake away... If they kept better track of the orders this would of never happened.. I will not be returning.

Thank you CANDELARIA. My nieces quincenera cake was BEAUTIFUL & Amazing. They designed it just as she envisioned it. She loved the cake. Cake was very fresh & tasty. The service was very friendly and delivery was wow earlier than promised which was perfect since we had a million things going on. They made our entire process a beautiful experience start to finish. We especially enjoyed the tasting part :) I used them for my wedding 8 yrs ago family & friends do also. Their cakes are BEAUTIFUL & TASTE SO GOOD! Service is awesome very friendly people . Just bought a cake there for more my son's birthday cake tasted old like bread all crumbling no flavor called them to see if there was something they could do they said no not even attempt to make us a new one do not go there there customer service sucks

I ordered a cake for my parent's 50th anniversary party, and I was incredibly pleased! At my request, Iris allowed my mom to come in for a tasting. My mom couldn't make up her mind which flavor she wanted, so we picked a tier cake that accommodated up to three flavors. (My mom chose lemon -my dad's favorite flavor, chocolate-her favorite flavor, and the bakery's signature flavor.) To personalize the selection even more, one half of the cake was iced in vanilla buttercream, and the second half of the cake was iced in chocolate buttercream. We chose to have the cake delivered the day of the event. Iris arrived on time, and set up was very quick. We received numerous compliments from our guests on how stunning the cake looked. The icing was light and airy. We only had three pieces left over after the party, and that was because my mom proactively set a few pieces aside for later. I would definitely recommend this bakery.

This is my go to place for all cake occasions and recommendations! Their cakes are the bomb! I always volunteer to bring a cake when I can just to make sure its an enjoyable experience and I get a slice! People always rave about how good they taste. Can't say enough good things about how they look and taste. If you want good quality cakes without outrageous Dallas TX prices, then go here. You will savor every bite and be glad you paid what you paid for it. Worth every penny....ALWAYS! T

I LOVE this family owed bakery!!!!!! They are very friendly and always willing to help you. The first time I visited them is to order a cake for Celebration Station. We were very impressed with the visual and the taste. From this we made friends for life. I also order a wedding cake for one of my managers and just told them how many people we were having and to surprise us. I picked up a magnificent cake. Everyone at the wedding was asking were we got it from. I have also order a cake for my bosses birthday and there was not a crumb left in the box. I was then surprised with a cake in-return for MY birthday (heck yea). I order all my kids cakes from here. I recommend this WONDERFUL bakery to everyone. I have told everyone I know at the Mesquite Chamber, Balch Springs Chamber, Community Heart of Mesquite and so on and so on about them.

Do not recommend! I ordered two cakes a more than a week ahead, I showed up the day of to pick them up & my cakes weren't even made!! Their excuse was that their parents were out of town..well guess what? That is not my problem! I ordered my cakes with time & even paid for them the day I ordered them so I expected them to be ready by that day. Replacing them with the leftovers y'all have in the back is not what I paid for, never coming back here again.

I agree, horrible customer service. Yes the cakes are good, but service isn't, very rude! We ordered our wedding cake and one month before, they said they couldn't do certain request. Which is odd because I was asking for what they had displayed. My advice is don't display what you can't do!

Wonderful cakes for weddings, birthdays and quinces...any occasion. They made beautiful custom chocolate cupcakes with strawberry filling and chocolate dipped strawberries for my brunch. Everyone loved them and raved about them.

HORRIBLE! Not worth the money. The cake colors were nothing like the pictures I sent to Iris. There was soooo many unedible things on the cake. it was also EXTREMELY moist, and it fell a part as i car cutting it. I do not recommend this place to anyone

Would not recommend . Ordered a Birthday cake for a 14 year old boy was clear with color choices . Went to pick up the order and to my surprise the colors of the icining were pink and purple had to wait until they corrected the colors. Got home and noticed the name was spelled wrong noticing it was spelled correctly on the first one with wrong colors was so disappointed did not even take it back. Will never order from them. Advice be careful when doing business with Candelaria Bakery.
