20 Great Paris Restaurants That Are Actually Open On Mondays

"Candide’s rustic, romantic dining room, with rough-hewn tables lit by flickering candlelight, will heat up date night. As will the all-natural wine list, and Italian-accented dishes grilled over the white coals of a binchotan or on the rotisserie in the open kitchen. The charred broccoli is the signature starter and a total umami bomb tossed with anchovy butter, parmesan, and buckwheat. Depending on the season, split a slow-roasted pork shoulder with cheesy polenta, or dig into the roast chicken that rivals Mom’s. Vegetarians aren’t left in the lurch, as housemade gnocchi is frequently on the changing menu. Always end the night with the gelato-filled brioche—vanilla ice cream drips out of the warm enriched dough case with every spoonful." - emily monaco

Great food and great selection of wine. The Design and atmosphere is pleasantly unpretentious and relaxed. The food on the other hand is high class!

Great and charming place in belleville. An open kitchen and a cozy setting for a lively dinner with the family. The food was great but a tad short of amazing. For starters we took: The broccoli with parmesan was good idea and tasted very good but lacked salt and acidity for it to be a star dish. The straciatella was very tasty but again just a tad bit short on seasoning to make it a 5/5 The egg with mushrooms was really good. Runny yolk with earthy mushrooms to round that dish perfectly! For the main course we took the Coquelet which is a small half chicken. The chicken was tender the sauce a bit meh. Sweet was the only flavor that I felt, it lacked richness. The echine de porc though is really really good. The star dish for sure. It is to share for two people but I could have eaten it alone. Not because the dish was small, far from it, but because it was sooo good I could not stop. Yes I will be coming back as the menu changes often and the experience was great even if some dishes were not perfect

Excusez mon anglais… this restaurant was delightful. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the food was delicious and healthy and the owner was incredibly sweet to our group. I hope that word gets around and this restaurant gets the credit it deserves. It’s a bit pricey but I’d say that the cost is fitting of the quality of the food and the ingredients. As we were eating I knew I wanted to write a review and when my meal came it looked so good I completely forgot to take a photo but I can assure you it was amazing. I had the trout and I highly recommend this if you like fish. We had the mussels and anchovies for an entree (photos) and the Fromage plate for dessert. Really loved this place.

I'll be back! Really good food. We were four and everybody liked everything. I had the poulpe salad and it was exquisite, perfectly grilled o'pus and plenty of it. And a beautifully spiced dressing. The staff was charming and warm. Mid-priced and worth it.

Candide is a great Parisian restaurant serving innovative cuisine. There were five of us and I had the octopus on mashed potatoes, others had chicken with french fries, plus various starters. All of it was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. I love this restaurant. Highly recommended.
