"Candytopia, a creation of a so-called “celebrity candy stylist” named Jackie Sorkin, is heading to Midtown this summer as a pop-up. Expect a swimming pool filled with giant marshmallows, candy recreations of the art classics, and this baffling unicorn-pig thing that appears to fart confetti into the faces of joyful influencers." - Serena Dai

"The Museum of Candy, operated by Sugar Factory, is set to open this summer in Chelsea. It will feature over 15 experiential rooms themed around candy, a dessert market, a full-service Sugar Factory outpost, and an outdoor cafe. Exhibits will include a candy unicorn, the world's largest gummy bear, and candy tasting areas. The museum is designed to be highly Instagram-worthy, similar to the Museum of Ice Cream, and is expected to attract large crowds." - Serena Dai

Candytopia is an absolutely fantastic and laughable experience! As the name suggests, there’s a ton of candy—everything from chocolate to Tutti Fruttis, Tootsie Rolls, and suckers. It’s candy heaven! What impressed us the most was how incredibly creative and realistic the candy sculptures were. Walking through, we kept marveling, “Oh my God, how did they make this with candy?” It was astonishing and made us wonder how long it would take to eat it all! Candytopia is more like a museum that you walk through and experience, but it’s so creative and cool. It’s full of laughable moments and great fun. What I loved most were the family activities that made it interactive. It’s not just a walk-through museum; it’s an interactive experience you can enjoy with your family, creating wonderful memories and lots of laughs. This is happily endorsed by Lovely is Your Story for Inspiring tastes and excellence of customer service.*

So fun! I really wanted to go somewhere that was all about candy while we were in town. My girls are 12 & 14 and I was worried they'd be too old. They were the oldest there, but we had a blast! The staff was awesome and made the experience more enjoyable. I liked that we were able to go at our own pace. The marshmallow pit was the icing on the cake! Only wish they would have had women's or long sleeved t-shirts that had the New York included on them. Only saw men's. Definitely recommend!

Went two days in a row. Took my youngest the first time and then both the second. We had such a good time we went back. Not cheap but not expensive. They do a great job and it’s very entertaining for kids 2-10 years. Lots of engagement and fun activities. Didn’t leave with a ton of candy or anything but that’s okay. If you need something to do for 30-60 mins it’s a great activity. Majority of staff were very friendly and seemed to enjoy what they were doing. Recommend!

Google
Great experience! Amazing idea! I went with my 6y.o. Sister and she had a blast. They have tons of free candy in almost every room. While kids get to enjoy hands on exhibits, parents enjoy exhibits that are 100% made out of candy. That is totally insane! The amount of time and candy it took to build each project! Each room has a theme. The place itself is nice for cute photos. Merchandise is cute and reasonable price. My sister especially loved the marshmallow pit. Oh and I think there are 5 or 6 spots where you can take photos from their camera and they are sent to you through email. So it’s great if you have a big group and want to get everyone in the picture!

Google
It was really fun. All the art pieces are made out of real candies. They allow you to touch the pieces. Get to take a lot of photos to purchase later. Plan to spend an hour or more to get the full experience.

Google
This is a place for kids! Yes, yes it's crowded but if you wanna enjoy with your kids something fun and different, this is a good place to go!. In comparison with the ice cream museum, I'd choose this one for sure. Every room has their own style and you don't have "empty" space to get bored at all!. Of course you have candy, chocolates, lollipops and more to take and enjoy! IMPORTANT: There is only ONE restroom in the 3rd room for everyone. I do appreciate that this is informed as soon as the experience begins. (They inform were is the restroom, not that is only one.) I didn't liked that it wasn't clean and you could tell it hadn't been cleaned since the morning. For adults my recommendation is for you to go in the first hour of the morning (LITERALLY only the first hour) or at night because probably there won't be as many kids as in the middle of the day. Good experience. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Google
I loved this. It was very different and gave me a Willy wonka type scenery. I highly would recommend going at least one and/or take kids to it. You get to try sweets and explore. I really did enjoy it and so did my boyfriend. Great date.

Google
It was okay. It's really for children. I loved the masterpieces made out of candy and all the free candy I got. The customer service was very good. They have an amazing staff that helped with finding children who strayed away from their parents and willingly took pictures of people. I'm not a kid person so I won't be going back. I do recommend this place if you have kids that you need to entertain for an hour or two.

Yelp
My daughter loved exploring the different rooms of candytopia. I enjoyed seeing the various life size figures made of candy too! Plenty of staff in character to make the experience even more unique. Also appreciated the little sweet treats along the way. Perfect for young kiddos.

Tatiiana L.

Yelp
Not my favorite experience but was still a pretty good time for the kids. Every room you enter; you get candy from so you'll end up coming out with a good amount of candy at the end to satisfy your Childs sweet tooth. ( Most of the candy is cheap dollar store candy) There is also a show in one of the rooms for the kids. This museum is actually very big so you wont feel like you wasted money. There are ALOT of different rooms here so you wont get bored. We ended up spending approximately 2 hours exploring Candytopia which is pretty long for a museum.

Yelp
This place was very fun. It felt a little sparse at times but there is always the bext room that made it more fun. The staff made a big effort to make sure that the guests enjoyed their time. It was fun seeing different pieces of art made from candy. They had some fun games and many photo picture moments. There were 2 rooms that i felt could have used more like their gummy bear room. This room had gummy bear lights in a room with mirror walls. I believe this room should have had some music and maybe those funny mirrors from carbivals instead of regular mirrors to make it more fun and active. Overall, the staff did everything they could to make sure yyou had fun and all rooms had some candy that you could take with you. I also gave it 4 stars as one of our party members couldn't make it and they didn't refund it for that one person. It felt like a bit of a waste for us.

Michelle L.

Yelp
This is a combination of Ice cream Museum and Madame Tussand with a twist, candy. They have a bunch of cool spots to take pictures for Instagram. They also offer a different variety of candy in each room. It was pretty nostalgic to see these candies from childhood. Each room had a bunch of structures made with thousands of candies taking x hours. There was a marshmallow pit at the end. It was quite the highlight.

Mardory V.

Yelp
I was completely surprised by this place, despite not knowing what to expect. I was accompanied by one of my favorite kiddos and she had a blast! I think this would be a fun family activity or a good place for a fun, lighthearted date. Free candy was offered from waiting on the line to enter to the exit. If you have a sweet tooth, you'll have a great time. There are a decent number of rooms, passageways and activities to enjoy. I think everyone raved about the marshmallow pit, the candy zipline and my favorite: the confetti room! Candytopia is social media friendly and offers bar codes you can scan where staff takes your photo for you. The host at the door was fantastic; he entertained us and gave us lots of information about Candytopia and it's parent company! They hope to one day incorporate other aspects to the Candytopia experience (alcohol and pop ups and whatnot). I can only imagine what is in store in the future. My one complaint is their lack of bathrooms. While some bathrooms were available at the start (and I think halfway through), there was nowhere to access a bathroom at the end of the time. Overall, it was cute and fun and highly recommended if you're a kid at heart, or have an actual child come along.

Yelp
Fun exhibition and amazing craftsmanship!! Using different types of candies as Lego pieces and building things such as a piano, was mind blowing. The exhibition contains multiple rooms, from dreamy lands to jungles to a marshmallow pool, there is many photo opportunities for all ages.

Yelp
Our visit to the newly opened Candytopia May 1st, was due to compliments of Yelp and our CM Katey. Thank you very much. The place is definitely a delight for youngsters and those in need of a sugar rush. Tickets are $36 (adults) $29 (children) otherwise, a bit pricey for the one hour tour throughout sugary laden art and interactive displays. And Yes, they hand out lots of Candy... it's just that I am not that much into sugar, but if you are then Candytopia is definitely your destination. Enjoy kiddos! :)

Yelp
Ohhhhhhhh myyyy myyyyy... What a fun place to visit!!!!! I was fortunate enough to receive tickets for a Yelp Elite Event and let me tell you, it was probably the Event that I have enjoyed the most in my Yelp history. Visiting Candytopia made me feel like a child again, it was so much fun!!! I can't even imagine how kids feel when they come, or how parents feel when they see their kids enjoying every little moment here. Kids can be loud, can run, jump, dance, eat candy, cry out loud and no one can judge!!! I loved that you have free Candy from the beginning, all the way to the end. They started the "self guided Tour" with a dance at the Candytopia Gate and it was enjoyable but a little awkward for adults, because the Team members seemed not too comfortable while dancing and you can tell. Hehehe! But sure fun to watch and incredibly pleasing for kids!!! That's actually where they start making this place memorable for kids, during my visit all the kids there started dancing and showing their best moves. After that you go into the first "room" and it's also interactive, they do this competition where you choose a clock and see if you/your group wins. (Mine did btw, and I felt like I had won the Olympics!) if you win, or not, you'll be rewarded with chocolate bombs anyway. Chocolate was sooo creamy and delicious, wanted to eat it all!!!! Then, you keep walking at your own pace and timing and enjoying every station. Loved the photo stations, this place is soooooo Instagrammable if you're into posing and taking pictures!!!! Whether you're an influencer, a parent, an adult who hasn't yet grown up (like me), a kid, whatever age group you are, this place will be memorable!!!! Whether it makes you remember your childhood because of the candies, or makes memories to be held in your heart for the future, it's worth every little penny!!!!! I am definitely coming back to get more awesome photos and enjoy some more candy, of course. Ps: If you come to enjoy every second of it, come prepared to sweat and definitely wear comfy clothes. If you come for the pictures, wear something cute. Doesn't matter the reason of your visit, you'll enjoy every second of it!!!!

Yelp
We visited Candytopia during the Yelp Elite Experience Candytopia Event and had so much fun! Special Thanks to Yelp Manhattan Community Manager Katey G. and to Candytopia for giving us the opportunity to attend. Also, thanks for allowing us to have a +1 to share this awesome experience with...it made it all the more special. Candytopia is on 32nd Street in Manhattan where they had Rose Mansion once upon a time (there have been some really cool pop-up/ interactive events at this location). Candytopia is an interactive experience and as mentioned on their website "An Interactive Candy Wonderland" w/ various rooms consisting of so many interesting things including the following: Candy Museum Areas - The Medieval Room and Aquarium / Sea Room and the Jungle Room as well as other rooms had nice Candy Statues w/ fun facts that indicate what types of candles were used in creating those statues, how many pieces, etc. I became fascinated by the candy art everywhere, especially the Prince ( if you know me, you know that he is one of my favorite icons), Frieda Kahlo, Billy Joel and piano candy masterpieces. Candy Buckets - Yes, of course there's candy! Wonderful Candy! Many rooms have buckets of candy...We started in the medieval room and had the option of choosing individually wrapped Milk or Dark Chocolate pieces. Candy Buckets in other rooms had Lollipops, Taffy, Twizzlers, more Taffy, Candy Straws, Candy Bracelets, more Taffy-lol. The Grand Finale Bucket had every flavor of Airheads & Blow Pops known to humankind....If you have a Sweet Tooth then this is definitely the place for you. Picture / Video Content -Candytopia has lots of great rooms to take pictures in and I wanted to take pictures of just about any & everything-lol. If you are extremely active on vaious Sociial Media platforms, you will have access to absolute dope content to put on your Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and on Yelp if course-lol. Everyone was capturing content, especially in the Confetti Room where staff throw confetti on you as you enter and you are able to have more "confetti" pop out at you as you take pictures w/ flying pigs painted on the wall. Candytopia also lets you download their QR Code to get access to posed pictures they take of you throughout the experience. Activities - Playing on the Swings and the Seesaw brought up some sense of Nostalgia and took me back to my childhood for a few moments which was nice. Candytopia also has a Marshmallow Pit that everyone happily enjoyed / played in for quite some time and it was a great workout-lol. The Grand Finale is a Zipline and boy was that an adventure... :) The Candytopia Giftshop has t-shirts, cups, bags, other trinkets and candy for purchase. Candytopia Website- www.candytopia.com to purchase tickets and get other information. Candytopia Instagram- @thecandytopia Candytopia is also on TikTok & Facebook.

Yelp
Showing up, being the only one without a toddler, this was not quite the experience I expected. Where are all of these adults who reviewed? Lol Because I only saw people who were 2.5 ft tall! But hey, I had prepaid and it was non refundable. Time to make the best of it. I'm going to be fair and review this place as a parent. When I had little kids, they'd have loved this place. Lots of interactive exhibits, very friendly staff, intricate statues made of candy, and tons of free candy for the taking. -I filled my pockets. I did really love the marshmallow pit. Not quite enough for the $36 entry fee, but at least I did get a selfie for Instagram out of it.

Dipali G.

Yelp
I was surprised at how much fun I had here! I expected this to be filled with parents and children but was glad when there were mostly adults here! This truly felt like an adult playground. There were several rooms and some of the highlights were: (1) the art exhibit (2) the confetti room (3) the marshmallow pit! So the art exhibit made it feel like I was in the met! It was really impressive to read about how many hours some of these took to make! They had a lot of classics shown here like the Mona Lisa and starry night! The confetti room was the most fun!! Be prepared to be surprised at how loud some of the stuff is and for their to be confetti all over u for a while! The marshmallow pit was therapeutic! The foam was so fun to go through and step in!! Outside of this, there were so many things! They have a small acting thing, a zip line, a lot of cute pieces to sit on! I loved how interactive this was and there are many cute photo op moments!

Kris P.

Yelp
Okay! Can I just say I was hesitant because I'm not a sweets person at all but I was curious abt this interactive experience as I love those! I took my long time dear friend who loves loves loves candy and willy wonka and oh boy what a treat!!!! 1. The staff - they were all so incredibly friendly. Each worker in each room were ready to help you pose and snap the cutest and best pics! Which I mean we've all been guilty of feeling bad to ask someone to snap a photo of us but so many guest and workers were so willing to snap you up. Also upon entering, they were passing out big swirly lollipops. My friend sat hers down while we were taking photos but the retail mgr notified the gift shop, put her name on it and has it waiting for us at the end! Sooo nice and appreciative! I was like man, I wish I could leave a tip for the staff. 2. It was truly fun and fascinating that so many exhibits were made from candy real candies! There was candy in a trunk in almost every room! My fav part was the very last room, I wont ruin the experience for you If you are considering, do it! Its fun for families, dates, fun day with your friends and YES especially fun for the kiddos!

Shoshana R.

Yelp
Candytopia a cool pop-up experience good for kids and a few IG photos. I enjoy new activities to do in the city so I was happy to score tickets to attend. I was not exactly sure what to expect, even though a clue is given in the name. It is a walk-through candy art museum of sorts. Each room has different pieces or pictures made of candy. You can touch, they do ask that you be gentle and don't lick or try to eat any of it. If you find your self wanting a sugar rush there are treasure chests full of candy in almost every room where you can help yourself. It is strongly suggested that you don't over indulge, leavening some for others. I would have appreciated some facts / history about candy creation over the years. They do provide the stats about the quantity of candy used for each piece. Overall cool 1x experience to occupy an afternoon. Just A Note: *Tickets are timed. *You are not allowed to go backwards once you leave a room. *Bathrooms are located by the fourth room only. *Small sandwich/storage bag would be useful for the candy you collect along the way.

Yelp
Super cool experience! I visited Candytopia with my kids and grandkids. We purchased tickets and showed up about 15 minutes early. We were able to go right in and get started. This place was colorful and the staff was great. The kids in the room were in heaven! I love the art that was in one of the rooms that were made out of candy. Very cool! The rooms were colorful and there was candy available in each room. One thing to be mindful of - there is a room where confetti shoots out of a machine. Do not face the machine! I was watching my grandson and something hard (pretty sure it was candy) shot out and hit me right in the face. The marshmallow pit was a fun one for the group. Please do not enter with your phone! Of course, someone in the crowd lost their phone and was frantically searching through the mountain of marshmallows for it with no luck. There was a neat zip line inside (with height restrictions) There was a very nice gift shop towards the end. Overall - this was a fun experience for all of us. The hour flew by!

Winny L.

Yelp
Came here for a Yelp Elite preview event - Special thanks Katey and Candytopia for this opportunity!!! Entry is based on time slot on your tickets so show up 15 minutes early to get ready for check in. While waiting on line, sign up for Sugar Rush - scan the QR code as there are 4 stations where you can take Sugar Rush pics and you will get an email with the link to the photos after the event. Hmm, I didn't get a welcome Whirly Pop though...it's ok, I don't need the extra sugar..LOL Also, you can take plenty of pictures/videos on your own or even ask the staff to help. Upon entry, you will be taken to the 2nd floor where the adventure through Candytopia begins... I'm not sure of all the names of rooms - but I will associate based on what I saw as the theme. After a brief intro and rules and staff doing a dance (sorta), you enter the History room - dragon, knight, fox - all made of candy...wow, read how many pieces of candy were used to create them. Look around and up at the clocks. Candy is available in each of the rooms with allergen info. The next big room is the Art Exhibits...OMG!!! These are amazing pieces and so detailed... yes it's a Dope room indeed !!! Next big colorful room has swings you can re-live your childhood moment and swing. Across the swings is the first Sugar Rush station...where scan QR code for your picture (you'll be swimming in chocolate) Onto the Candytopia ball room and cool illusion pictures (Sugar Rush Station for 3 pictures)...don't forget to check out Billy Joel! Next is the Jungle Room....then onto dark neon lights (very cool to take pictures in - but you will come out dark) LOL ... then the swinging ropes.. Try to balance yourself on the rope and swing... It was fun! Next big room is the Mirror room - gummy bear lights, big gummy bear, lollipop and LOVE sign made out of candy.. it changes color. The following big room is Under the Sea, where you can be a hammerhead (or some sorta) shark. Amazing how the detailed each exhibit is made of candy. Getting close to the end - Confetti room is next! Woohoo. Another opportunity for Sugar Rush pic. IMO, this was the best of all the pictures! The pigs are a hoot! LOL... just watch your step, it does get slippery with all the confetti, but the staff does sweep it up...and then re-uses it. Finally, get through the optical illusions walls and to the Marshmallow Pit (I think this one has the final Sugar Rush pic) - however, you can bypass it if you don't want to go into the pit. And finally the Zipline (short line but fun). Read the rules and there is a weight limit. It was a fun 5 second ride...have your buddy or staff take video for you. As you are ready to leave, you enter the Candytopia shop where you can purchase items as souvenirs and plenty of candy for purchase. It was a fun hour to go through and luckily not very crowded but have patience for your turn to take pictures!

Jacqueline S.

Yelp
I had a lot of fun here! As two adults, we enjoyed it and got our sugar fill. I wasn't sure what to expect heading it, and totally loved all the art made of candy. If you have a family/children, this is definitely a fun experience I'd recommend. If you're an adult, it brings out your inner kid! I even did the Zipline (which I was barely under the weight limit for I think lol). It's also got some great photo opportunities.

Cheryl N.

Yelp
So fortunate to go on opening day courtesy of Candytopia and Yelp! Had such a great time. Before you go get the sugar rush qr code. You can download while there, but I was having technical difficulties so my friend created one for us when we got there so you can scan the code and take automatic pictures and have them saved for you to your account. They great you with a when you arrive! The kind you begged your parents for at an amusement park as a kid. Each room is truly unique, and candy in every room. Mostly taffy, suckers, and chocolate. I was so appreciative that the allergen info was posted at each station as I am gluten free. I passed at the pixy stix, but the 8 year old in me who loved fun dip almost took some. The staff is amazing! They help you take sugar rush pictures, douse you in confetti, and also help you take pics with your own smartphone. Their energy was so "sweet" and fun. Everything you would expect and such a place. At one point I saw two of the stuff running with walkie talkies, apparently there was a candy emergency . Things you may want to know ahead of time... The bathroom is the fourth room in and once you move forward you can't go backwards. However, you can stay in each room as long as you want. Stick to the recommended candy pieces, don't worry, there is plenty for all! You can touch the candy art, just don't pick at it. Loud sounds in a couple of the rooms with the confetti cannons. I mean, it's really loud. There is confetti everywhere! They have blowers near the end to help you get it off. Be careful what you take into the marshmallow pit, someone lost their phone. Not me thankfully. Be prepared to have fun! Think swings and teeter totter s and big balls. My favorite rooms are were the marshmallow pit, the room with gummy bear lights that change colors, and the room with the shark sculptures. $36 gets you in. My tix were comped, however, I think it's worth it, but only if you take your time. If you rush through it's not gonna be worth it. I would probably go again. This place is totally Instagramable and so fun. There is a zipline at the end for those 150lbs or less. And a candy shop at the end.

Ashley M.

Yelp
Thanks to Yelp for giving me tickets to experience this place! The more exciting fun begins towards the middle-end of the event. Everything is made out of candy, and comes along with descriptions of how many candies it took, which candies and how long it took. Very amazing on the work they put into making those! It is a sensory, interactive, loud and of course photo taking experience. If your not into any of that then don't bother coming here. I'm all about enjoying new things and taking videos and photos, so it was a great experience for me. The fun starts when u enter the confetti room and so on.... Enjoy! BTW I gave it a four instead of five stars due to its price.

Tony Y.

Yelp
Came here for a Yelp event and it's pretty cool. Everything is made of candy and they encourage touching. Gently of course. The staff are friendly and play the part well. The displays do not disappoint. And of course you can grab your fill of candy throughout the whole exhibit. There's even a marshmallow (ball) pit and a zipline. There's a weight limit though 50lb-150lb. I did not make the limit sadly. Tons of Instagram moments for you to feel like an influencer. Great for kids. My only comment and why I gave it 4 star- they have a confetti room and threw it all over us. And into our bags, jackets, and shirts. Horrible experience. They need to stop that. Confetti should be a choice. Not thrown at us.

Christina S.

Yelp
Candytopia brings Willy Wonka's chocolate factory to life by providing a very unique and fun experience to candy lovers of all ages. Each room is filled with art made completely from different pieces of candy. The candy sculptures also contains a fact sheet informing you how many pieces of candy it took to make it. This experience is not only creative but also interactive. There are swings, couches, green screen photo ops, and more to keep you surprised during your visit. You can't leave without checking out the marshmallow ball pit or the zipline. Ensure to bring a bag with you when you visit. Each room contains free candy to take home with you!

Veronica V.

Yelp
As a Yelp Elite I was lucky enough to be able to get tickets to Candytopia. I took my son and we both had a blast. This place is heaven for kids, for those with a sweet tooth, those that can appreciate creative pieces of art made out of real candy (no you cannot lick the artwork ), adults trying to embrace their inner child and let lose, teens who want great selfies etc. basically if you want to try something different in NYC I highly recommend making a visit here. Especially before tourist over take it. My favorite parts were swinging around like Tarzan, confetti blasting all over me and the marshmallow pit. My only suggestion would Be to have more variety of candy. Staff was also amazing and super nice.

Troy L.

Yelp
If you like candy, this is a great place to bring your family, significant other or kids. Every room is different. Each room has interactive exhibits which you can touch and chance for photos. The staff in each room were really nice and offered to take photos for you. Then there is candy. Make sure you get some before you leave the room because one rule is you can't go backwards. I didn't like the confetti room because the confetti sticks on to you. I wish there was an option to bypass the confetti room. I had to clean my clothes afterwards. It took me 1.5 hours to go through the whole experience. I did bypass a few rooms. 1.5 hours is sufficient, you do get tired running and taking photos. I didn't take as much photos as I would have liked because of this. My only regret is not bringing a bag to hold the variety of candies provided in each room. There is so much candy and only so much you can eat during your time there. Also, i wished there was a restroom to clean up after. I asked and they said there were none available.

Maggie B.

Yelp
As you might expect, this experience is great if you are an instagrammer, have kids, or are a kid at heart. It's a mix between a museum and a playground, all with a candy theme. When you first arrive, a few employees do a cheesy speech and dance before opening the doors. Inside, you walk through 6 or 7 rooms. There is free candy in each room. There are a lot of art pieces and sculptures made entirely of candy and the descriptions tell you which types of candy were used in the construction and how much sugar each one contains. There are lots of interactive elements like swings, a see saw, slide, ball pit, and hang glider. There's also a room with an attempt at a trippy, artistic film featuring moving candy and sweets. As an adult with no influencer aspirations, it's nice to be a kid again for a short while but admittedly, I'm glad I got these tickets for free because I don't think it would've been worth the admission price for me. However, this is a great place for families and those who want to take lots of colorful, whimsical pictures. In many of the rooms, they have cameras hidden in doughnuts that will take high quality photos for you and you can use a QR code to access them. The staff are also super friendly and helpful. So if you come solo, they'll be more than happy to help you get the perfect shot. There's also a gift shop at the end of the experience. You can easily get through everything in under an hour, but might want to budget a bit more time if you have a real candy obsession.

Andrew C.

Yelp
Came here for the Yelp preview event. We waited a bit to get in due to the 5 boro bike tour. Upon entering, they give you a quick introduction to the QR code so you can get your photos taken and emailed to you at designated picture stations. The exhibit is essentially a candy play land. There was plenty of exhibits made out of candy, such as Mona Lisa, starry night and much more. There was also plenty of samples to go around. The staff were extremely friendly and the event itself was fun. Definitely worth it to bring small children as they will also immensely enjoy this. Favorite areas were the marshmallow pit, the confetti room. Be forewarned, use the fans before leaving the room to get rid of what's left on your body. Overall, a fun event!

Antora S.

Yelp
Such a fun place to visit at any age! We purchased our tickets online and happened to be around Candytopia about an hour early. But the person at the door was very sweet and let us in. Each room is a different color and different theme. But almost everything is made out of candy. And in some of the rooms you can actually collect candy. The confetti room and the marshmallow pit was our favorite.

Yelp
If you're looking for an interactive experience, candytopia is good for all ages! I went with my husband, but we saw plenty of kids and people of all ages. The staff were enthusiastic and a delight! They offered to help us with photos! Each room is a different theme, you'll find a variety of artwork created from candy! Each has a sign with how many hours it took and how much candy was used. My favorite was the candycorn fox. There's a marshmallow pit and zip line! It brought our inner child! My husband and I enjoyed the exhibit. You can spend spend as much time as you want in each room, just remember you can't go backwards. ** Pricing Tickets are $36 for adults $29 for kids Plus fees *** tip, bring a bag for all the candy you'll be collecting from the treasure chest.

Yelp
Candytopia is such a fun place, right in the middle of the city. This has definitely been one of my favorite Yelp Elite experiences to date. A big thank you to Katey, Yelp and Candytopia for this amazing opportunity! The entrance was very easy to find, on the corner of 32nd and Broadway. Once we arrived, there was a bit of a wait and we ended up entering about 15 minutes past our reservation time. Once inside, there was another 5 minute wait to enter the exhibit. I wasn't sure what to expect, but was surprised by how many rooms and different areas there were. Candytopia is like a huge interactive candy museum / playland. Each room had a different theme and candy chest, where you could pick up a pieces of candy. It felt like we were kids again, trick-or-treating around for candy. The art museum room was one of my favorites, with famous paintings and sculptures made of thousands of pieces of candy. I didn't go into the Marshmallow Pit, but did try the indoor zip line and loved it. For the zip line, there is no age limit, but there is a weight limit of 50-150 lbs and they weigh you before you can get on. If you are an influencer or love taking selfies / photos especially for social media, there are a ton of photo ops. There are even areas designated specifically for taking fun photos. This would also be the perfect place to bring your kids for a fun treat. My nieces would love it. You should estimate at least an hour if you're visiting with kids or want to spend time on photo shoots. Since we didn't spend as much time taking photos of ourselves, we were there there for under an hour. Overall, a fun experience in the city.

Yelp
It was a pretty fun event. I had low expectations but it was actually quite cute. I don't know if I would go back since I am almost thirty and have no kids. But if you're a parent. You would probably love it. You would probably love it if you're an Instagram crazy person. I liked that the staff was really friendly. The exhibits are hands on, so perfect for the little ones. There are many picture opportunities if you're not stuck behind obnoxious people. I think the average ticket price is 35 dollars. Which isn't the worst. I can see this being good for a corny date. There could be more. It does start to get a little dull in the middle. Maybe more interactive stuff like a Taffy pulling room or a make your own candy sushi could be added later on. There is potential there. It was a cute day.

Yelp
Checked out Candytopia today and it was pretty sweet! lol I didn't know what to expect and thought maybe this is just for kids, but I was pleasantly surprised at how cool it was! You'll check in outside and then enter an elevator to level 2. Be sure to scan the canditopia bar code to enter your email. This is free and used for the photos they'll take inside. Once upstairs you'll pass a cool entry sign and straight to the doors to the actual museum. Before the doors open the staff does a fun dance and goes through a security brief. Mainly 'don't lick or try to eat the candy off of displays' haha The first room is reminiscent of medevil times with a Knight, Dragon, and Fox made of candy. The staff member is dressed in costume and in character too. Once you hang out here you'll enter the next room through colorful strips of fabric and have a photo opp with some mushrooms. From there, head into the room with art. Different portraits of familiar faces line the walls. Next head into a room with rainbow swings. Here is where your first photo opp from the app will be. A staff member scans your individual QR code you got from when you signed up at the start. Then smile! (These will later be emailed to you) Each room is different. There is a jungle themed room, deep sea room, and plenty of confetti thrown at you in another room. The last stop is a marshmallow pool you can jump into! Remove your shoes and drop your bag in the shelf they have. Then enter. There is also a photo opp here through the QR code. Careful with your phone because you can easily drop it and get stuck looking through all the 'marshmallows.' The final stop is a mini zip-line. Then a gift shop and you may exit. They have various taffy, pixie sticks, lollypops throughout the museum for you to take. You'll also get a big colorful swirl lollypop before you enter the museum as a keepsake. Overall, I spent 2 hours there. Time flies when you're livin' the sweet life. Tips: - Wear bright colors for photos - No restroom - go before you enter (starbucks is nearby) - Remember to sign up with with the free QR code for your photos

Yelp
I was surprised in a good way about all the things to do in here! They had multiple interactive exhibits snd even a zip line! Fortunately, there were no kids when I went and it was a great experience! This is a good place for someone who likes pictures and candy. The staff were really nice snd looked like they were having fun themselves. There's candy to choose from in almost every room as well as staff to help you take pictures and answer any questions. I only saw one bathroom in the exhibit and you can't go backwards so if you think you'll need to go, go when you see it! There are some rooms where you can sit and relax. If you want to go in the marshmallow pit make sure you bring shoes that are easy to take off.

Yelp
Came here for elite week and wow, what an enjoyable experience! We were greeted at the door and quickly ushered into an elevator that brought us onto the second floor, thus beginning our Candytopia journey. Think of this place as essentially a interactive art exhibit where you can take plenty of pictures with various pieces of art and statues made out of all different types of candy. Honestly, the creativity of the artwork is off the charts and not something you see in a typical museum. Along the way you are given lots and lots of candy to eat and sample. I personally am not a big sweets person so I didn't eat too much, but it definitely didn't take away from the fun of this place. My favorite rooms were the 1) confetti room where they blow confetti in your face as you walk in and 2) marshmellow room where you jump into a large pit of fluffy marshmellow to relax and take photos in. The service was excellent throughout the entire museum as the staff is lined up to take your pictures at a moment's notice. All in all, it was an excellent experience that I would recommend to anybody!

Yelp
My husband and I took my niece here and we had a great time! We enjoyed all of the rooms, the candy and interactive experiences. It's pretty cool how everything is made of candy! My niece enjoyed the swings the most. I recommend going here with kids! It'll bring out the inner kid in you!

Yelp
Was lucky to be selected to visit as part of the Yelp Elite Experience! They had interactive rooms, photo opps, and chests full of candy. I brought my boyfriend as a guest, and he was elated - he thoroughly enjoyed the experience. His favorite was the Marshmallow Pit (but be careful! Many people have lost jewelry or dropped their phone in there, and things are not easy to find!). The confetti room was fun too. The staff were so kind, and they're willing to take your photos. They have great energy as well! Tickets are $36 each - if you're into experience museums, then this could be worth it for you. Would be fun for kids, as well :) Family friendly! Tip: Sign up for sugar rush to get the QR code for their photo opps. You can download the files after your visit!

Yelp
Candytopia was so much fun! I brought my 4 year old son and he really enjoyed it, but there were also a lot of adults there without kids and they looked like they were having a lot of fun too (mainly enjoying the Instagram-photo-ops). The artwork was really impressive, there were statues made entirely of thousands of pieces of candy, as well as portraits and recreations of famous paintings made entirely of candy, they were really beautiful! My 4 year old didn't care much for them, but it's nice that they have something for everyone. Some of the rooms just had things to look at, but nothing really to do. My son definitely enjoyed the more interactive rooms, including one with swings, one with a slide and the confetti room which also had a seesaw. There was a big marshmallow tub that he was a little scared of since it was pretty hard to move around, but the adults enjoyed it. There was also a Zipline for little weighing between 50-150 pounds. Each room has a big treasure chest with various candy that you can grab. The giftshop was also really cool, there was a big gummy sushi set that I was tempted to buy but I ended up getting a box of gummy noodles and a gummy !

Yelp
We had so much fun! It's hard to find activities that everyone enjoys but this one lived up to the challenge. We all had a great time here, some rooms were more fun than others. We appreciated that most rooms had a treasure box filled with candy too so we got to enjoy candy while seeing it for a fuller experience. Free, downloadable pictures were also appreciated. Overall the experience was great and staff were polite and helpful. There was one person at the very beginning that was rude. We went to open the first door after being told by someone else to do so. She was fiddling with her phone and got upset when we opened the door. I guess we weren't supposed to go in yet and then she was like "well whatever, you've already seen inside", she was rude and not for nothing but if something is supposed to be timed a certain way then when you see patrons coming, get off your phone or leave us alone to enjoy the experience. It was also a little pricey, I think we spent $180ish for 5 people and we were in there for about an hour and a half. We had a great time and realize NYC is expensive so it's totally worth it. One thing to keep in mind is that once you leave a room you can't go back.

Yelp
It was like being a kid again, holding candy in one hand while sitting on the seesaw going up and down. This place was actually pretty fun and I was quite impressed. The highlights were the swings and the seesaw in the big colorful room, the surprise in the confetti room, and the zip line in the last room where there was a 150lb weight limit before hopping on. The staff was all really friendly and this place had tons of Instagram moments! Thank you Katey, Candytopia, and Yelp for the experience! We were sugared out from all the sweets.

Yelp
I have a love/hate relationship with Candy on a regular basis but I definitely jumped at the opportunity to a +1 to check this place out before the general public courtesy of Yelp Elite NYC! There are so many great photo opportunities to be had while meandering through this experience. The staff is so helpful in getting whatever shot that you have in mind. Ever dreamed of taking a picture with the Great Sphinx of Giza, the late Notorious BIG and Cardi B?!? Then get off the passport line and stop building that time machine; just grab timed entry tickets to Candytopia. This experience can be enjoyed by all ages because there are buckets of Candy to take but will be loved by kids ages 4-8. There is a short zip line setup towards the end of the experience geared towards that specific age range. My favorite part was the simulated marshmallow pit. Between walk through the entire experience and playing or just walking in the pit, you will meet your Move goal for that day.

Yelp
A fun museum. Fun pics! Fun place for the family, date-night, basically all ages. If you're ever in the area, stop by for a visit!

Yelp
This is a fun indoor activity and only took us about 40 min to hit every room. Overall the space is more for young kids or photo ops.. the actual rooms didn't have many activities. The art was my favorite part. The staff were also all amazing... 5/5 for their friendliness and attention to making the experience more fun. Remember to scan QR before so you can easily use the photo shoots. Lots of candy to grab as you walk through and they gift shop had some fun treats/merch.

Yelp
Candytopia was a pretty interesting experience! I found it pretty cool to look at all different things (like a fox) made out of candy, and the marshmallow pit was more fun than I expected. Audience wise, I would recommend it more for families versus adults, although we did have fun, I certainly found it to be more kid friendly, and after visiting plan to return and take my niece and nephew!

Yelp
This is definitely Candyland. If you are looking for someplace different and fun I strongly recommend you to get several tickets and come here. I came here with a friend for her birthday and she loved it. We are two adults and enjoyed the experience and it's very well done. I have been to other immersive experiences and this tops of them all. I also love how the staff is friendly and ready to take pictures.

Yelp
Had a decent time! I would say it was significantly shorter amount of time than I expected, we were out in about 45 minutes. A good hack is to try to get there at 10am when they open, we were only one of two groups so we basically had the entire venue to ourself. Another tip is if you leave a room you can't go back, I understand too this when it's super busy , but we were virtually the only ones there.'it was a bit disappointing because I chased my toddler into one room and completely missed another room. I asked if we could go back but they said no. Lots of candy for everyone! A bit pricey for what you get but a good time for the kids!

Yelp
Fun activity but it's a quick run through. Not like an all day activity. Also unless you have small children with you some of the activities like the marshmallow pit have a weight limit so adults aren't supposed to enter.

Yelp
Had the wonderful experience of checking out Candytopia on the first day through a Yelp elite event! Thank you for this wonderful experience. Right in the heart of herald square it's easily located on 32nd street. I was very impressed by the entire experience. I've gone to other photo opp type places and this is one of the best that I've been to! I really enjoyed walking through each of the curated rooms. They provide you with lots of candy in each space too from chocolate to taffy and lollipops! All of the candy art and statues are very impressive and cool! The staff were so friendly and I loved that they were stationed around in each room to help customers take pictures. I really love the sugar rush photo cameras set up along the way too, those photos really came out super cute! Each room was really different than the next. It took about an hour of time to go through the entire museum. I really loved the rooms with swings, the marshmallow pit, and my favorite was the confetti room! Be ready to have lots of confetti on you! I even had confetti in my shoe and my mouth. It was just everywhere but so much fun! Great for pictures! This is a influencers wet dream! If you have kids a definite must to check out but they might get a sugar rush!

Yelp
This is a great place to visit if you have a sweet tooth. Who knew you could be so creative with candy? Candy designs and photo opportunities are everywhere. This place is quite large and spacious. There are photographs of famous people made of candy. If you and your family love candy then you will love this place!

Jonique G.

Yelp
TW: flashing lights & loud sounds This place was so fun!!! I came opening day & it wasn't too crowded which is good because there is so much to see! So many things made of candy!! The confetti, marshmallow pit & zip line were my favorite rooms! The place is wheelchair accessible! Except the marshmallow pit & the zip line. There is so much candy to eat and touch (the art - but don't eat it!) The staff were really friendly and upbeat and helpful! I would DEF visit this place again!

Yelp
It's a Candy Paradise and had a freaking blast! Let's break it down: Ambiance (What's it Like?) Every room is an immersive experience. Between interactive exhibits, photo ops, activating all your senses with every room, it's a fun experience! You'll be enveloped in color, touch the candy statues, taste candy in different rooms (not ON the statues lol), listen to interesting soundscapes, and smell all types of sugary goodness in the air. Very family friendly, but great for adults too! If you've ever been to Color Factory, it's of a similar vibe but definitely has its differences. Time Frame It tools us about 1 hour and 30 mins to get through the whole thing. Afterward we got ramen at Ichiran a street over. Opinion (Why 4 Stars) Now here is way 4 stars: --they don't give you candy bags initially so I was walking around with heavy pockets by the end, which wasn't ideal --in the confetti room in nearly choked cause they throw confetti on you and it got in my mouth and I started choking on confetti. I would suggest having a water station there. It almost got in my contacts, which would be trouble for me. I loved the confetti room, but I absolutely swallowed confetti --On the zip line (yes they have a zip line and it's awesome!) I'm pretty small so I went to the end and I was FLYING. I had a good grip but if I let go I would have knocked into the shop. The staff was probably still new and learning cause a manager addressed that right away cause they are supposed to be at the end to stop you. I didn't get hurt at all, but it could be a safety issue if they are not standing at the end. No harm done, just good for them to know, and thankfully they do. Overall, I had a great time. The staff was so sweet and willing to take our pictures for things. The exhibits were fun and without giving too much away, it was super enjoyable! I would absolutely recommend going with your friends, fam, or date! Warning for Parents Candy is loose everywhere including lollipops so just watch your kids running around with candy like you would on Halloween!

Lindsay K.

Yelp
Candytopia is a super different and fun activity in the city! You start out the experience with really friendly employees handing you lollipops - what can be better than that? As you go through the exhibits you get to see statues and paintings made out of candy. It's very interactive as well with attractions like lollipop swings, a marshmallow ball pit, even a zip line! Each room has great photo ops for you and any friends you may bring along. You also get to sample candy along the way like truffles, lollipops, taffy's and more. While adults can enjoy this experience, I think it is best suited for families and children. A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon!
