The Instagram-Ready Candytopia Plans a Sugar-Filled Philly Stop - Eater Philly

"Candytopia is a colorful, over-the-top traveling exhibit of art made out of candy, designed as a built-for-Instagram photo op. It features various candy-art installations, including a candy sphinx, a portrait of Beyonce, a rearing unicorn, and a foam marshmallow pool. Candytopia is set up at Ninth and Market in the newly opened Fashion District Philadelphia, a mall spanning several streets with various amenities. The exhibit, which debuted in Santa Monica, California, in early 2018, is the creation of Jackie Sorkin of TLC’s Candy Queen and has attracted over a million visitors, including numerous celebrities." - Rachel Vigoda

It was so much fun!! The staff was professional, and friendly! Free candy in every room! You get to take pictures, one room they throw confetti 🎊 on you, but you get to clean it off 🤣 we went for my daughter's birthday, she had a great time!

This place is great for you kids! We took our 5 yr old and had a blast. It is fulled with cool sculptures made out of candy. You walk though different themed rooms. They has pictures of famous people, they had full size people (rocky and ray Charles). Our favorite was the under seas room and the marshmallow pit! That was fun we jumped into the marshmallow pit (think a ball pit filled with marshmallow looking pieces). Every room has different candy in each of them from candy bracelets to trolls sour worms!! They sell bottled water along the route if you need it. At the end they have a gift shop to sell more candy, shirts, bags and other similar items. (Everything In there was overpriced which is why they get 4 not 5 stars- we still bought some anyway.)

Great staff! Very energetic and helpful. I love that it’s an interactive exhibit. And you get a sample of candy in each room. I wasn’t a fan of the pop rocks. The package had a 2017 advertisement which makes me think it’s old but the expiration date says 2020. Or the strawberry flavor is just disgusting 🤷🏾‍♀️.

Pretty nice place. Great if you want to take some pictures with friends or family. I would recommend to bring some type of bag because they give you free candy. There are no restroom stops so come early to use the restroom in the mall. Also, there is no eating of candy inside.

It was very cute with plenty of photo opportunities. What took the longest is waiting for people to take all the pics they want, which isn't too bad. There is free candy and many candy art to look at. The "marshmallow" pit is definitely fun.

Really fun place to take the family and kill a couple of hours together. Shame it's closing up on 1/9/22. The marshmallow pit at the end is fun to jump around in or just lay back and relax for a few minutes.

I think this experience was probably geared a little more for children than adults. The candy sculptures are incredible but there were not enough activities to keep us entertained for more than a half hour. Plenty of photo opportunities and it was fun to get a candy treat in each room. Maybe not the best Covid friendly activity but props for trying to create something new to "experience".

Such a fun time!!! Definitely worth going. We waited at the end of the line to be the last in from the people in our group time that way we had more time to ourselves. We all left with a good amount of candy as well.
