This is another place which I can't believe it took me so long to review, but then it had also taken us a while actually to get her in the first place.
Anyway, this is a great local deli. They make sandwiches, homemade ravioli and pasta sauces, tiramisu, their own homemade potato chips, and more.
The traditional meat/veal ravioli and mushroom/portobello ravioli are excellent and family favourites. I love the lamb ravioli also, but my wife is not too keen on them. These are small, old-fashioned ravioli. The pasta has great texture, the fillings excellent, and there's a nice ratio. 5 stars overall for these, but we have not tired all the different ones.
Sauces we have mixed views on. The standard marinara is excellent, with a nice full tomato flavour. We do, however, add a touch of butter plus a dash of salt, and of course parmesan, but otherwise this is excellent and makes at least a great base to modify slightly as you see fit. 5 stars. The lamb sauce is good, but it is a touch spicy. The sage or herb butter sauce is just ok. We got it once and won't get it again. It is very thick and heavy, not like what we were expecting or wanted. It is thick and very heavy, and rather one-dimensional. We had wanted and, from the name, expected, more of a light actual butter with seasoning, but it is thick with cream, etc. 2.5 stars.
Homemade tiramisu is excellent, as are their potato chips.
It also get points for the business itself, as a great local deli making ravioli and more, plus the place is nicely touched up inside now with tile and an old-fashioned charm. Service is also excellent and friendly.
