The best food and beer around hands down! Jeremy the cook is to date my favorite cook around. He is always smiling and vibing and it reflects in his food. I come here often and always will! If you have not come here please do. You will be blown away! Always a band playing as well!!!

Tim G.

Google
Return trip for some great local beer and bar style pizza. Sampled a flight of beer again and went with a pepperoni and chorico pizza. Last one had sausage as well. Thought everything was good. Witch doctor and Chainsaw were killer. Well worth the visit. Friendly staff. Will gladly add them to the rotation. Easy access and plenty of free parking is a plus.

Awesome place. It's what summer is all about. Chef Jeremy food will make you happy Their beef is outstanding. Stop by and enjoy

Google
Love the atmosphere great beer selection incredible bar pizza and staff is amazing. Love that it’s a dog friendly establishment. The other day me and my wife stopped by on a very hot day with our two huskies and we forgot their water bowl Dennis who was working the bar was so nice he went out of his way on a busy day to get a bowl of water for our dogs. Because of people like Dennis and going the extra mile really makes all the difference. We will definitely be regular visits. Thanks Dennis for a great experience!

Google
I was not disappointed at all with my very first visit to canned heat. The pizza and draft beer was more the just good. However, the bar stools are pure torture. Very hard plastic with no cushion made for a very uncomfortable stay. Impossible to lean back to ease the discomfort. Other than that, a very good choice.

Google
Excellent beer selection and the pizza is awesome 👌. Entertainment, free popcorn and friendly staff (Amalin & Jason are super sweet!)

Google
Crisp draft every time. Best IPA’s this side of the Taunton river. Love stopping by my favorite brewery. Thanks to the staff

Google
Had the Longest Bridge NE IPA, was very smooth and flavorful. Wife had the InYo Face Lemon Meringue pie ale also very tasty

Yelp
Came here for the first time with family and Dennis and John were great! They were both very attentive and knowledgeable about all the selections on the menu! Definitely will be coming back!

Yelp
Visited for the first time last night and really liked everything about Canned Heat. This brewery is spacious, and warmly decorated with a variety of seating options - bar stools, booths, tables, and comfortable couches. We opted for bar seats and our order was quickly taken by Rebecca, who was am amazing server. She gave us just enough time to look over the large beer menu, and we were really happy with our choices of a the pumpkin beer and an IPA. We ordered the bar pizzas and they were some of the best I've ever had - crust was nice and thin, toppings were generous, and the cheese went nearly all the way to the edge. While we waited for our order, we munched on the free popcorn, which was a real treat! We will definitely be back - the atmosphere was amazing, service was great, and the food was delicious. The prices were very reasonable as well - my pint of pumpkin beer was $7, and pizzas start at $10 with additional toppings for $2 each. Would love to try the wing specials on Wednesdays, and would love to come in the summer for the outdoor seating.

Yelp
Canned Heat is the Tipsy Toboggan's sister spot, about 15 minutes away. Same owners. Almost certainly the same dough for their pizza. If you just ate at one, you already know what you're getting at the other. The pizza here ran a little thinner. Spent more time in the oven. The browning was more even than what we got at the Toboggan. But pick up a slice from either place blindfolded and you wouldn't know which was which. They're calling it South Shore bar pizza here. I'm not sure it earns that. Bar pizza has rules. Ten-inch pan. Cheddar cheese blend. Cracker crust that's crunchy and sturdy when you pick it up. Laced edges where the sauce and cheese hit the pan and caramelize into something crispy and almost burnt. It's a blue-collar thing born in Brockton dive bars, and the good ones have been using the same blackened pans for 40 years. This had the size right. The edges looked the part. But the crust didn't snap. It wilted. And that's the whole point of the style. Look, none of this means skip this place. It's a brewery that offers pizza. The beverage list itself is worth the trip. Big industrial room, string lights, that warm amber glow you want when you're drinking good beer on a cold night. The people working there were friendly. The customers were even more friendly. Everyone seemed happy to be exactly where they were, which counts for a lot in my book. Go for the beer. Stay for the vibes. The pizza's there if you need it.
google avatar

Chris H.

Yelp
This place has a great industrial brewery atmosphere! The beer is fantastic as well. The best part is the food. They have a FANTASTIC bar pie. Top 10 of all time! The staff is friendly and attentive. I would've included pictures of the bar pie, but I ate it too fast!

Yelp
We stopped by Canned Heat specifically to check out their entry in the RI Food Fights' 'Lord of the Pies' competition, and we were thoroughly impressed by both the atmosphere and the offerings! From the moment we walked in, the space felt spacious and inviting, which makes it a really comfortable spot to hang out. Even better than the setting was the service--our staff/bartender was super friendly and incredibly attentive throughout our visit. Great service definitely elevates the experience. For the main event, the Bar Pie type pizza was fantastic! We added pepperoni (highly recommend), and the crust and flavor were spot on. It totally lived up to the hype we heard about their pizza. To wash it down, the House of Horrors Double IPA was great and hit the spot perfectly. Canned Heat clearly excels in both the kitchen and the brew house. If you're in Fall River looking for delicious beer, friendly staff, and surprisingly fantastic pizza, Canned Heat is a must-visit.

Yelp
Back again for the Best Pizza around. Wings are great also / when they have them. Wish they had something other than beer, I would visit more often Sound is very loud with a band playing, bring ear plugs. Seating inside and outside. Gets hot inside, no AC Bartenders are great. Beer selection is good, if you like beer.

Casey C.

Yelp
This is such a cute hidden gem weirdly placed in a shipyard (?) but not too hard to get to. I can't believe how few places lack comfortable seating, but I was able to lounge on a couch in here and it felt like they wanted me to stay and hang out. There's also a corner of little arcade games to play, and it's dog friendly. The beer I had was great, recommended to me by the most pleasant bartender. I also had the pizza which was good but nothing to write home about. Overall great vibe and I will return
google avatar

Jonathan C.

Yelp
Nice bartenders. Put celtics game on for me Tried a flight and liked the chocolate stout so much I ordered a other 12 oz one. Excellent bar pizzas. Oddly, they were out of mushrooms that night. I got pepper and onion 1 flight (5 oz x 4) + 1 stout + 1 pizza was $37 + tip. I actually wasn't sure after I left if I was charged properly because i didn't ask for a paper receipt...my mistake (they use a toast device) It was a good time, but kind of pricey
google avatar

Douglas Q.

Yelp
Wish they had chourico... know the demographic. Great bar pizza aside from Brockton. Always charred on top but it works. Bottom never burnt. If you like crisp edges (Brockton) they can't do that but it's close.

Yelp
Wow!!! The craft beer line up is unbelievably good, along with a house made fruity seltzer on tap for the non beer drinkers. Went tonight to try their highly talked about bar pizza & I'll promise you, it is The BEST bar pizza in the area!! Thin, crispy & laced crust that is to die for! Jason, the beertender working on Tuesday evenings is excellent & completely knowledgeable of all they have to offer. Bonus deal on Tuesday's it is Industry Night! Free pizza with the purchase of beverage to all Restaurant Industry Workers!! Check this place out for great service, drinks, food & entertainment!!
google avatar

Yelp
I always love this place. Food is great, especially the pizza. Service is prompt and friendly. Staff knows the product. I have tried multiple different beers where and they are all great so far! It's in the water and there is great love music and outdoor seating with corn hole and other entertainment. It's a laid back vibe and a great time!! Def give this local place a try! Ask for Leyshonna and Jon! They are the best servers!!
google avatar

Kelly C.

Yelp
What a fun unique place. Housed near a marina it is a great place to grab a craft beer and pub style food. The pizza's and appetizers are very good and there are a bunch of beer options. The brewery has a large variety of beers to try that goes well with food. The staff is great, the atmosphere is great and all of the entertainment and special events are excellent. If you want a fun place to go this is the place to be. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Kristen W.

Yelp
Checked this space out for the first time and loved it! They had tickets from the Big Lebrewski for the month of March, and such a good find. There was live music, the bartender cracked us up and was so friendly. the beer was great!!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Just walked in. Love the atmosphere. Fresh beers on tap! Delicious! Haven't had the food yet. Great service staff . Friendly. Great place to hangout!

Yelp
I've tried Canned Heat beer a few times and I love the taste of everything I've tried. The ambiance is so relaxed and fun, I've been there on nights with bands playing and it's very enjoyable! The service has always been met with kindness and fun. I can't wait to go back there soon!

Yelp
Cool Spot We stopped while looking for the nearby Troy City Brewing. They had a decent selection of there own drafts, food was available from the nearby Tipsy Seagull. Bartender was informative. A little cold, not as inviting as the Troy City. It is bigger and probably better for larger groups. Beer was just okay. Thanks

Terry C.

Yelp
I've been to canned heat many times with my puppy. Never had any issue until I encountered Dennis. He really made me feel uncomfortable. I left my puppy outside of the establishment with a friend to order and my puppy felt anxious and barked until I got back to him. Dennis told me if he continues to bark he will have to ask me to leave the establishment. I felt really uncomfortable and I will never go back to a place that is supposed to be dog friendly. Remind you my dog has been here many times with no issues. Horrible customer service. I really felt as a person of color I didn't belong because another person that was white had a bigger dog barking and no issues. Idk Dennis just rubbed me the wrong way.

Jaime O.

Yelp
Had to leave a review for this awesome place! The $10 bar pizzas were amazing, free arcade games, and just an amazing atmosphere near the water, what more can you ask for? I mentioned to the bartender that I wish I liked beer, since it was a brewery, and to my surprise they make a pineapple hard seltzer that I absolutely loved. We went for an event and will definitely be back. They were pet and kid friendly. Very happy with our experience. great vibes!!

Yelp
We are brewery hoppers and this place is not to far from New Bedford it has great beer and atmosphere will be back again

Yelp
Went here before going out to dinner at the tipsy toboggan. We drove past the place the first time and ended up parking at the restaurant and walking down the road to see if we could find it. This brewery is located in a shipyard and what looks like an abandoned factory. Once we were up close to the factory looking building located next door to the brewery, we realize that the windows were fake and made a plexiglass and that's what made it look like it wasn't a abandon. So if you see these things, your in the right place. As far as the brewery, it is quite large, there is many different beers on top and it seems like they have some snacks for purchase. As far as beer goes I wasn't too big of a fan just not the taste that I was in too but hey it's beer so it can't be all that bad. Good place to gather with your friends or grab a pre dinner drink.
google avatar

Yelp
Sorry Canned Heat, we tried to visit on a Saturday afternoon just after 12 noon and you weren't open! Your hours on Yelp say you open at 12 (and that's what I looked at), and your hours on FB say 1 pm. We'll give you another try next time we visit Fall River!
google avatar

Jennifer B.

Yelp
I have visited this brewery several times in the last year and am finally writing a review. Shame on me, but perhaps I wanted to keep this hidden gem secret. Just kidding. This brewery is very popular now and rightly so. If you've never taken a trip to south eastern Massachusetts, now is your chance. Conveniently located off 195, near Battleship Cove, and on the water. Parking is plentiful and is shared with the boat yard. Things are a little different during this pandemic, but still very spacious and organized. The seating options were always inside and outside. Huge garage doors open up and let you feel the ocean breeze. There are now a ton of picnic tables with umbrellas lined alongside the building. We had preordered beer online and also sat down for one after checking in with the host. You can scan a QR code or search the menu on their website. Now for their beer... from hazy, piney IPAs to rich and tropical sours. A good majority of their sours do have lactose, so read or ask before ordering. These guys make great brews and have adapted to this year's changes without missing a beat. We will be back again and again.

Carolyn F.

Yelp
My friend and I happened upon this place when we couldn't find a place to park in the neighboring restaurant parking lot. Serendipitous moment. We loved the vibe and the bartenders were super friendly. I have been back many times and will continue! The pizza was very good too! When I just looking for something to munch on, they offer free popcorn.

Yelp
Canned Heat Craft Beer Company is craft brewery that opened in Fall River, Massachusetts in September 2018. It was founded by brothers Matt and Miles Wilson. The brewery is located on a waterfront property right next to the Borden Light Marina. The location offers an unobstructed view of Mount Hope Bay and the Braga Bridge. The Wilson brothers named the brewery "Canned Heat" as a tribute to their father's favorite Woodstock-era band. Canned Heat was the first brewery to open in Fall River since Enterprise Brewing Company closed its doors in 1963. The head brewer is Steve Via (who worked at Stone Brewing Company for a decade), assisted by Matt Ellis (an award-winning home brewer). My wife and I first visited Canned Heat in October 2019. We were in town for the day to visit the home of Fall River's most infamous citizen: Lizzie Borden!! After visiting some spooky sites around town, we decided to check out Fall River's local craft brewery scene. Canned Heat had a really nice location by the water. The brewery offer several rotating styles, but most of their offerings are New England IPAs: my favorite! I ordered a flight of four different kinds: "Juelz" (NE DIPA), "Hop Boogie" (NE DIPA), "Ibex" (NE DIPA), and "SUV" (NE IPA). All of the beers were excellent, but the last two were my favorites. Before leaving, I purchased some four packs to go of two other excellent New England IPAs: "We Did It, Just Like That" and "Maui International". Overall, my wife and I enjoyed our visit to Canned Heat. If you're planning on visiting any spooky Lizzie Borden sites in Fall River this Halloween season, make sure to visit Canned Heat.

Yelp
Good variety Great space Most of all, fun Open 9 weeks when I visited, I was impressed with the selection and friendly, helpful staff when a friend of mine and I walked in 12/1. Catering a little to the popular, the seasonal, and the local style flavor, the seven available drafts were tasty. We had missed out on the cans - good for the proprietors on that. Music was fun (90s rap, Black Sheep & Tribe repped hard, plus some Chubb Rock - shout-out B-Boy Stance), a game was on big n' silent (Saturday college football Bama/Georgia), all drinking places were full, and parking among the boats outta water was cozy. Portuguese and US flags wave proudly in the mega-mural over the bar. The Canned Heat mascot looms large, too - the hop dude logo is bedecked much here, and it locks in much of the character the place's beer is pushing on. Not just hops...but certainly hop-friendly. Got my butt handed to me in darts, drank some nice beers, loved the music, and enjoyed the company. Probably even headroom for more stars here. I'll be back. (Pro tip - don't wait politely by the outer restroom door. It simply leads to hallways for the real restrooms.) Great start, Canned Heat!
google avatar

Hayden C.

Yelp
The atmosphere is great and the beer is excellent. I had some reservations about this spot but they really do a great job and care about their product. Food is alright, nothing great, but free popcorn is always a good thing.

Yelp
For me to rate a brewery five stars, you know it's gotta be good 'cause I normally loath breweries and bars for several reasons. Some of these reasons include being zoo-type atmospheres that are WAY too loud and gross environments with wet sticky tables, etc. Also, gross AF are beat-up pint glasses served warm and filthy from being "washed" in those janky troughs of swill in which you see bartenders perfunctorily "washing" the glasses in behind the bar. Knuckleheaded staff and patrons, etc., make for a bummer social experience and a base hang place. CH was none of these things and had all of what was very good quality. Most importantly, is the brewski. I'm not really a beer guy at all but I was able to detect the fine quality of the brewskis here. Forget your Bud Light and Miller and junk that like. They had maybe a dozen or so types of on-site-brewed brewskis ranging from fruity to hoppy to stouts, etc. I am not a brewski connoisseur by any means but I could tell they were far superior and "more fresher" than store-bought microbrews. I do believe that this is largely due to the fact that store-bought brewskis are pasteurized and that basically funkifies the brewskis. Simply put, all brewskis here were yumskis, bro. The joint is in a "weird" location that you'd never find or notice if you weren't already privy to its existence in the ever-heinous Fall River. It is really a warehouse-type building and very industrial that has minimal touches of décor and is anything but plush but it has a nice vibe due to the scene inside. It has free games like Pac-Man and a shuffle board-type thing and that ring-game thing with the long string with a metal ring that you try to link onto the hook. The dood that we ordered our flights from was well-spoken and polite and helpful and wicked knowledgeable about stuff. The brewskis were served in a paddle-like wood thing that held four tennie sparkling-clean brewski glasses and was fun and festivus AF. Foodstuffs here were minimal and seemed like nothing much: a big-ass pretzel and a basic nacho-type thing and maybe something else. We didn't eat here so I can not comment further. We had a wicked pissah time and the patrons appeared largely intellectual and well-mannered. No yelling and shouting. The music played in the joint was cool and played at a nice mellow volume making "conversating" a breeze. We clowned about (and "conversated") big time and interreacted with many slick peeps as well. Highly recommended for all brewski-loving YELPers. It's (not) Miller time!

Yelp
I just hosted a party at this brewery. The staff was so accommodating and the atmosphere made the party great. It's a fantastic option for an event because it has space that opens to the outdoors. Plus, the beer was delicious !
google avatar

Lenny D.

Yelp
Outstanding brewery! Beautiful selection of IPAs with fair prices. Smoke House Dog is delicious - 5 bucks! Definitely worth making a trip here. Am gonna try to get them to distribute to Elmhurst Pub in Providence!

Yelp
Came here to see a buddy play and what a pleasant surprise! The food was actually really good! (Sans the charcuterie which was kind of lack luster) but amazing space, great friendly staff and fantastic beer!!!

Yelp
So, I travel to a million breweries with my beer loving boyfriend and hes the beer snob! He loved the "where's the clicka" ipa beer and bought a 4 pack for home. I loved the variety they offer, there's really a beer for everyone! The beer tender was SO nice and had great recommendations! You can tell she loves being there and loves beer, which i really appreciate when visiting breweries! BUT like, the true treat is the location... holy crap! It's gorgeous. I mean, I live on the coast and have ocean front breweries but this place has a great spot!! Follow the keg and you'll find it. It's near where boats are stored, sailboats and all that. So that's a vibe in itself. I also loved the indoor decor, they put a lot of effort into the space and it shows. My only critique is a little more comfortable indoor seating! But I did see a sofa in the corner so there is that! I didn't try the food but it sounded good. We can't wait to come back!! How I did not take any pictures is beyond me! But trust me, it's great!!

Chris P.

Yelp
Updated 10/26/23 - First time ordering food and was disappointed. I ordered a pizza, which was the typical thin bar pizza you would fine anywhere. I guess the overcook them trying to mimic a burnt style pizza but it was just terrible. Way overcooked, dry, and not appetizing at all.
google avatar

Skye S.

Yelp
Amazing beer! Amazing location! Has own parking lot which makes it easier! Super nice staff! Highly recommend! I know we will be back soon!

Michelle C.

Yelp
Great location and atmosphere, excellent service, delicious bites and the beer was awesome too! There were arcade games and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely try the tacos and the buffalo chicken nachos; they go well with "where's the freakin clickah" a hazy ipa. We arrived with a bunch of people and kids at the last hour on a Sunday and they were so welcoming and accommodating...can't wait to go back again!
google avatar

Peter M.

Yelp
This place is pretty great. Just came for a few beers, didn't try the food, but all the beers my party had were tasty. They have obviously mastered the hazy ipa/dipa and the three we tried all varied enough while each being solid in their own right. Key Lime Pie sour was also a hit. Glad we skipped the Tipsy Bird Gull Bat Lobster bar (looked awful) down the street, and came here instead. Beer tenders were friendly and knowledgeable. Grabbing cans to go. Favorite of the day was "We did it, just like that".

Cheryl S.

Yelp
Such a friendly business. My husband and I stopped in when we were in town from Jersey. The bartenders were very friendly attentive, and gave us a brief background info of the brewery and the town. They even recommended a good place to eat dinner around the corner. The beer was amazing and the few bites on the menu were so good, honestly the best BBQ carnitas Mac & Cheese my husband and I have ever had! Loved the table top video games and pinball games. Will def be going back when we're up that way again.
google avatar

Ben Y.

Yelp
Great local place with nice sour beers! I really enjoyed the beers with lactose. Even their nachos were decent. But nice time, use real cheese!

Yelp
Five stars automatically for finally giving Fall River it's own brewery. I went to Canned Heat on my birthday, one week after their opening. I have high expectations for local breweries because New England has set a very high bar for what they should include. Casual but fun ambiance, plentiful seating, games or something to watch while you're there, and decent food to absorb the alcohol you drank before you go home. Canned Heat hits all of these criteria and in some cases goes beyond them. First and most importantly, their beer is great. With names like "Bang a Uey" and "Suppah" Canned Heat demonstrates that they clearly understand the locals and what the sense of humor around the Riv is like. I drank a full size "Khan of Khans" (an Asian-inspired lager) to go with the amazing, Korean-style slider I got from their in-house snack bar and drank a 2oz "Wicked Good Be'ah" before I left. The "Wicked Good Be'ah" is a strawberry milkshake inspired IPA and it was delicious. I normally HATE IPAs and I drank that one down with a smile. Loved Canned Heat, can't wait to go back and try out more food and beers next time.
google avatar

Ray B.

Yelp
Really great, well crafted beer by guys that clearly get it. I can't believe there's a place like this in Fall River. Would have been 5 stars, but it took forever to be served while sitting at the bar when it wasn't very busy. I had heard that service is slow before going, so I was somewhat prepared for it and the beer was worth the wait.
google avatar

Chris D.

Yelp
First time at this brewery last night. It was a beautiful evening and the views from the back deck and the taproom were amazing! Best of all, the beers and the service were spot on! Some really solid IPAs, Sours and a Brown Ale as well as a Stout were on tap. Beers were served well and the servers were willing to talk about each beer. A really chill vibe at a great location. I will definitely be coming back!
google avatar

Maria S.

Yelp
IPAs...YUM! Staff was super amazing, friendly, and informative. Can't wait to get here in the summer! The water views will be amazing!!!

Paul L.

Yelp
This local brewery is absolutely amazing. While we all are feeling the effects of COVID-19, Canned Heat has continued to not only provide an incredible product, but has continued their unassailable customer service. Per my experience, I've noticed that every order you make is handled with safety and care as their #1 priority.. Literally right up to my porch where Tom delivered my case with a mask and gloves and waiting for me to come outside so that I could receive my order safely (and so that he could check my ID to ensure I wasn't a ne'er-do-well teen trying to take advantage of the situation.) Canned Heat and their staff are class acts and I implore you to support them... Really you are winning in this situation because they make INCREDIBLE Beer.
google avatar

Ed P.

Yelp
Great beer offerings in a nice, low key atmosphere. I am a regular here whether it's with friends to have a few beer and play some cornhole or shuffleboard or just stopping in to grab a few 4 packs for home. Check in your drinking choices on Untapped and see it on the beer menu screens. Hands down some of my favorite beer!
google avatar

Robert P.

Yelp
Awesome place to pick up a case of amazing IPAs. Makes quarantining at home enjoyable.
google avatar

Sara Q.

Yelp
Nice selection of beers and great snacks! We chose a nitro porter, brown ale, excellent witbier, and a lager for our flight of 4 beers, each with fun names. All were good. The hot dogs were also unexpectedly REALLY good - they snapped when you bit into them and were on a Hawaiian style bun. The smoked house dog and Texas dog were delicious. Cool atmosphere with friendly and attentive staff will have us back.
google avatar

Moritz S.

Yelp
Stopped by for an impromptu birthday get together. Excellent beer selection and a great location with plenty of parking. Food selection is limited but the nachos are excellent. Make sure to take some beer to go!

Sasha A.

Yelp
Sorry Canned Heat, I'm out on this one. Been to many breweries and brewpubs in my lifetime. This is the first time I never found a beer I liked. Sorry to say almost everything I tried was undrinkable. I can't even remember what flight I ordered. I just want to get that taste out of my mind. This place is for the hardcore craft beer drinker. I would not even classify what I tried as beer frankly. Word to wise, if you're a casual craft beer drinker you probably aren't going to like it here. If there is someone in your party who does not like beer your out of luck. There is no wine or liquor, just ice water. There are only 4 items on the food menu. We had the pretzel, too much salt and overcooked for my liking. The service was fine, see a lot of complaints about it being slow. They were friendly and tried to help with suggestions. We were waited on right away.

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Great craft beers! Love the IPAs abs my favorites are Maui and Hop Boogie! Good amount of bitterness but finished smooth!

J. R.

Yelp
Wow what a place! My flight selections where all great! The food on Friday was Asian. I had the Pork Belly Sandwiches and they were perfect! Nice spot and great to have a local brewery in Fall River.
