Cannon Hill Fish & Chips

WORTH THE TRIP. We have moved up to Barnet yet we still make the journey whenever it takes our fancy. The fish and potatoes are always fresh and fried perfectly. We find the set, which includes a drink, especially good value. Service is prompt and polite, and we often have a friendly chat with Andrew or Dimitra. Once I left my jacket and they packed it in a takeaway carrier for me to collect! The restaurant is decorated with old time theme, but run with modern efficiency. The loo is clean and smells pleasant. This is our boy's first choice, and will remain mine too for a long time.

Was really looking forward to this as i heard that the fish n chips was very good. Ordered plaice in Motza meal for my Mrs and Cod & chips for me. Also ordered gerkin, mushy peas abd coleslaw. The Chips was not quite crispy enough for me. I prefer them to be fried more not less. The Place over fried in fact it was borderline burnt. The Cod looked good but unfortunately disintegrated when I cut through the batter. It didn’t flake off as fresh Cod normally should. The mushy peas and coleslaw was nice. Service was ok and atmosphere was good but sadly the food wasn’t good enough for me.

Friendly, professional, and well-organised staff who make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in, with special mention to the girl at the counter for her kindness and excellent service. The food is of excellent quality –fresh fish, perfectly cooked with crispy batter and no excess oil, with generous portions and consistently great taste. The atmosphere is clean, relaxed, and well maintained, making it a comfortable place for both a quick bite or a sit-down meal. I love the Christmas decoration. Overall, great food, and reliable service. One of the best fish and chips spots in the area and I can say in London!! Highly recommended.

The best fish and chips in north London. We normally get take out form here but tonight we ate in the restaurant, it very busy and the food was amazing. We had regular cod and chips, regular haddock and chips, grilled haddock, greek salad and a few sides. You could tell the oil was clean and fresh as the potatoes were so clean in colour, portion size was huge, fish was so fresh and tasty and the batter wasn't to thick. Could not fault the food at all.

Easily the best chippy in North London....if not the UK! The quality and consistently is amazing, and the restaurant is spotless. For those who want a gluten free option, the grilled cod is fantastic. To top it off, the wonderful staff make every visit an absolute pleasure. The whole family love this place!!

Absolutely tastey and fantastic fish and chips. Great coffee was served. The owner and the waitress was absolutely welcoming and the food was 10 out of 10 clean rightly cooked no overcooked no undercooked.I would wholeheartedly recommend this one. You got to eat and try this fish and chips obviously I have tried it or we have tried it before, but it’s really good thank you the Cannon Hill fish and chip shop

Always consistent quality. Fresh fish, perfectly cooked every time, generous portions and staff very friendly and welcoming. A proper fish and chips shop. Highly recommend!

The best fish & chips in North London. Fish is sustainably sourced. Fryed in rapeseed vegetable oil & they use seasonal potatoes which they peel & cut , none of the pre packed frozen chips! Generous portions,crispy & delicious 😋 Lovely service , eat in or takeaway.

My first meal in London was this place. I was definitely looking forward to a good fish and chips house, and this definitely filled my appetite for it. I ordered the cod while in the meantime my boyfriend has the haddock. Both were really good with just the right amount of batter. Service was decent as well!

I was very impressed by the food and the service, service being very friendly and efficient. The food was lovely; i had cod and my partner had grilled skate wing both cooked nicely. Normally from fish and chip shop/restaurants the fish comes pretty greasy but not from Cannock's! Fair portions and pricing is bit more expensive to eat in but defiantly worth it! Always seems busy, so thats a good sign.

My first fish and chips place on my first visit to the UK. Lovely place and outstanding fish! Cooked to order and piping hot. I enjoyed talking to the ladies behind the counter you were happy to educate this American on proper fish and chips. We laughed at each other's accents and I tried to explain the similarities between a battered sausage and an American corn dog. I believe they thoughts I was mad.

One of the best Fish & Chip shops I've ever been to. Fresh fish, light batter and chunky chips. Highly recommend
