Cannone Gelato

This place was pretty good, but I was very disappointed by the Affogato. They put in the espresso shot and then a very small scoop of ice cream. Too small. This place is in a fantastic location and they have nice tables to sit under the Trees for some shake. Overall, we give this place a thumbs up for those hot summer days.

This place is over rated. The flavors are so artificial and things are not handmade. Is it difficult to make a waffle? You can make it in a minute. Why are you selling this disgusting waffle piece. You spilled bad chocolate on top of bad gelato. I feel sorry for the time, not the money I spent!

Great concept and location but comes are tiny and not worth the cost. I asked for a large and specified two flavors, ended up paying $11 for a single scoop that was very close to blue bell.

The secret to a happy life is lowered expectations. Cannone is an American food truck. So I didn't expect it to taste authentic. It didn't. But it was still good: sweet, creamy and cold, in a convenient location, friendly service. The cone had good flavor. My affogato needed much more gelato. I mostly tasted bitter black coffee.

I own a small business myself so whenever your Apple Maps user customers call ME because you haven’t changed you phone number on Apple Maps which may I add is very important I always very kindly let them know to look for you on google maps and that is the correct phone number to reach you at. It’s been almost 3 years now and I’m a little tired of sending people your way as it gets in the way of my own businesses phone calls and time. Please if you can figure out how to remove my phone number off your Apple Maps business’s account I would greatly appreciate it! If you wanted to send me a thank you text also you know my phone # 😅 ps I hope that bride to be that was calling me for your catering info was able to reach you she was very kind!

First time seeing this place! The heat took me out- and I was thrilled to find a healthy acai bowl & iced coffee!!

Best gelato in Austin…. So far 😜 I have only tried the 3 best recommended!

The Gelato was very delicious without being overly sweet. I tried the dark chocolate and cookies and cream.

I would recommend Gelato cannone love the ice cream the communication with the young girl Karina always happy out going and ready to help recommend this place to family and friends

Mediocre hazelnut; cannot even taste the hazelnut. There are better gelato places in town. Regretfully, I suspect this is more akin to a tourist haunt: not a place for great gelato.

Great stop while touring Austin. Our tour guide stopped off at this food truck location and treated us to gelato or ice cream here. Great flavor options and very creamy ice cream. I had the chocolate chip, which had just the right about of chocolately goodness. Hubs went with his favorite...vanilla. hee hee. There are lots of options to choose from!

Iv called and called trying to contact the owners of this business with no avail to remove my phone number that I believe used to be their phone number ? from Apple Maps and here on yelp. I'm nice and been nice and let their customers know that they have the wrong phone number and they should contact them through their actually phone number and so on but I can't take the numerous calls everyday anymore it's been one year non stop telemarketers and business stuff calling MY phone number. Please remove my phone number!! I will not be answering for your business anymore get it together smh people are trying to contact your business

I really like the ice cream here I really recommend, Karina has excellent customer service. Would definitely come back for more!

every time i come here i wanna get a coffee with my gelato and the lady always gives me the same blank stare and tells me the same thing, they dont have coffee or espresso. why even have it on the sign? bad service. this is the last time i try giving them my money. 9/8/23 @ 1:20pm. hire new people.

Very tasty gelato. Got the lemon sorbet and the raspberry yogurt. They er both really good. Cute spot.

I ordered an açai bowl, and I have never had a worse bowl. The few fruits that were there were flavorless and the açai base was practically ice water. On top of that it took about 10 minutes to get the bowl back when I was the only one in line. I can't fathom paying $10 for this again.

Respectable Italian Gelato near Zilker Park. Zilker Park ought to support about 638,599 ice cream places, since that is the number of people who show up every hour. Zilker Park fanboys and fangirls generally like ice cream. Ice cream offerings on Restaurant Row are few and far between. * * * Cannone is real-deal Italian gelato made by a guy from Bari. (His name is Cannone, but you probably figured that out already.) In Italy, there are three gelato places on every corner that are as good as Cannone's truck. In Austin, there are zero gelato places on every corner that are as good as Cannone's truck. The American gelato has pretty colors - but it goes downhill after that. * * * The Thumbs Up is that Cannone's gelato is really creamy. The Thumbs Sideways is that the world has gelato with stronger flavors. But the world did not put any of those places with stronger flavors anywhere within walking distance of Zilker Park. So get your gelato while you can. * * * Cannone also has a nifty pasta and focaccia truck on the other side of the Picnic food court. Your Mom says you should eat something nutritious before you fill up on dessert.

The sorbet and gelato are AMAZING. Don't be an idiot like I was - I wanted a waffle cone but ordered the "waffle" by mistake and had my sorbet on two Eggo waffles! . Seriously the flavors alone are all you need but I did enjoy fresh fruit with my raspberry sorbet.

Cool spot good food !!! Had some items off the menu!! Because time is slow but love there pasta and for sure fast service good truck food ! Just wish they had the lamb but maybe next time !

We went about a month ago when the Barton Springs neighborhood was starting to cool down a bit. We were looking for some dessert and came across Cannone Gelato. The lady working the truck was super friendly, inviting and down to earth. She would kindly explain the gelato and the unique flavors. I ordered the coffee gelato and it didn't leave me wanting more or give me the wow factor. Don't get me wrong though, it was good but so is a bucket of Haagen Daz or Ben & Jerry's ice cream. For the cost of what you get, some would say there is more to be desired.

I had a delicious hazelnut gelato with espresso poured over it. So tasty! The service was excellent. The man working was helpful to let me know that the latte gelato meant milk rather than a coffee flavored gelato. He suggested the espresso pour with either the latte (which is vanilla) or hazelnut gelato. I went with the hazelnut and it did not disappoint. This was the perfect pick me up after kayaking on Lady Bird Lake.

Really creamy and delicious! Refreshing on a hot day. Friendly service and you could try the flavors. A little pricey but it's in the tourist area so I expect that.

The raspberry and lemon sorbet tasted amazing; and the waffles with banana foster and hazelnut gelato was one of the best treats I've ever had! Highly recommend trying the waffles!

We had scheduled and confirmed that you would be onsite Wednesday, June 23, 2021 and you not only did not show up, but did not call or send an email. I left several voicemail messages and did not receive a call back. I cannot express how disappointed that we are. Our staff were looking forward to this event. I hope that this is not the customer service provided to all of your customers!

This "gelato" tastes like melted ice cream. Overly sweet. I got the classic hazelnut and mint chocolate chip. Both tastes were underwhelming and just tasted like sugar. Served so melty it started dripping on my hand immediately and I just didn't even want to eat it anymore after a few licks.

This place has amazing gelato! It's 100% authentic Italian gelato. It's our favorite spot to get gelato when we go to Zilker Park. Make sure you taste Stracciatella and check out their other food truck just around the corner for Italian food!

Really enjoyed the Gelato here! They have great variety of unique choices and all very tasty. We had stopped by two nights at a row (it was that good) and they had different flavors each night. The owner was really friendly, nice and had let us try most of the flavors before making the final decision. Would go back when I visit Austin again!

My friends and I stopped by for gelato 2 nights in a row during our trip to Austin a few weeks ago during the ACL music festival. The owner was super nice and fun to talk to, and the gelato was refreshing after all those muggy, sweaty nights.

They have the best mango gelato!! Tasted like the actual fruit, not artificial. Great customer service as well!!

This is such a great stop for gelato! Visiting from Florida we wanted to check out all the trucks and they were super nice! We tried the vanilla, pistachio, and hazelnut gelato (mind you it's 11:30 in the morning) and they're delicious! Must come back on the next visit for other flavors.
