Mixed experience at Canopy by Hilton Cannes
We stayed at the Canopy Hilton in Cannes for 3 nights. Overall, it was a good experience, but unfortunately, it started off with an unexpected issue. On our first night, we found an unwelcome guest, a multi-legged insect crawling on our floor (photo attached) . We immediately shared the picture with the team and requested a deep cleaning and we mentioned verbally that dozen of mosquitos were flying in our bedroom on our arrival as well.
Unfortunately, no proper deep cleaning was done, and we noticed the next day that both the room and the bathroom floors had not been cleaned properly (we took photos as proof). This was disappointing, especially after raising the issue.
On the positive side, the front desk team was helpful and responsive. They upgraded us to another room, although it was on the first floor, which we would have preferred to avoid. Still, we appreciated the gesture.
The breakfast setup was very nice each morning, and the parking service is a great bonus, especially since the nearest public car park is a 7 minute walk away ad we have witness from the balcony of our room the most amazing fireworks on the 22nd of July.
There’s definitely potential for a great guest experience here, but room cleanliness and follow-up service need improvement.
