Stayed at Canopy by Hilton Reykjavik City Centre, which is very well located. The hotel is within walking distance of popular eateries, the city centre, and the famous church, making it extremely convenient for exploring Reykjavik. The room itself was generally fine and comfortable enough for a good night’s sleep. However, some wear and tear was noticeable, such as slightly peeling walls. Temperature control was also inconsistent, with the room sometimes feeling too warm even with the heater switched off, and at other times too cold. As the hotel is close to the city centre, noise can be expected late at night, up to 4/5am One logistical inconvenience was having to lug luggage through the level 5 roof terrace initially, although a simpler route via Level 4 was discovered later during the stay. One important point for both the hotel and future guests to note is that dental kits and shaving kits are not actively provided unless upon requested and during the stay, it was noticed that all the available kits of the “same batch” were expired, some by 2-3 years, which is not acceptable, especially for a hotel under the Hilton brand. When this was raised with staff, the response appeared rather nonchalant, which was disappointing. On a positive note, breakfast was excellent. The salmon selection was particularly enjoyable, and the chocolate Danish stood out as a highlight. Overall, the hotel offers a great location and strong breakfast, but there are several areas that could be improved to better match expectations for an international hotel brand.

Excellent location. Boutique hotel vibe. Great options for buffet breakfast (included). Rooms are small but there are plenty of open communal spaces throughout the hotel. You can borrow a portable record player and records for your room if you like. Great option to grab-and-go food across from reception area. Help yourself honour system in place - let the reception know what you pick out to add to your room. Cozy feeling. Bus stop is just steps away for tour pick ups and flybus drop off. Very convenient location. Safe and clean. Great for a friend's getaway, couples, or solo travellers. This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel.

An absolutely wonderful hotel to stay in. It's very much a boutique hotel in a Great location. I want to give kudos to the staff. They are very nice and amenable Lastly, the complimentary breakfast is really nice. One of my favorite hotels I've stayed in over the past few years. My only complaint (it's a very minor one) is I would like to see a bit more robust of an offering on their TV.

This hotel was perfect for our sister's trip to Reykjavik. The location was great and within walking distance of many neighborhoods, shopping and dining. The hotel is clean, warm and cozy. The breakfast buffet is amazing and has something for everyone. The beds are comfy and rooms quiet. All of the staff at the hotel are welcoming and accommodating. I want to give a special shout out to Jasmine who helped with a last minute booking change with efficiency and persistence. Thank you! I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

There is so much to recommend about this hotel in Reykjavik!!! From its central location (we walked everywhere easily) to the amazing breakfast-Canopy was great.||We arrived early like most and were lucky to be offered early check-in (yes please!). The hotel is impeccably clean and the bed was so comfortable. As many others have said- the breakfast was AMAZING with a huge fresh selection every day. The staff was always friendly and helpful. Side note- if you love water pressure (often lacking in hotels) you get out here!!||The hotel restaurant also offers discounts at their very good restaurant and happy hour twice a day!!! ||We will be looking for other Canopy hotels in the future based on our experience here.

I highly recommend this hotel . The location is convenient to old town Reykjavík. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The common areas are cozy and tastefully decorated. The lighting throughout is thoughtful. All of these features contributed to a restorative December stay. The breakfast is delicious and substantial. The best feature is the staff. Everyone was hospitable. They went out of their way to give great service and engage guests. Jasmine at the front desk went above and beyond from start to finish.

Google
Wonderful hotel with a central location. Pros -great location, within 10min walking distance to everything. -great buffet style breakfast -amazing shower -very clean rooms Cons -the curtains don’t block all the light out of the room -you can hear people in other rooms -room feels stuffy since there’s no airflow in the room -no parking garage, however there is one about 1 minute walking distance from hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

Located in the center of the city, this hotel was perfect for exploration of the city, and for catching our tour groups. The staff was very attentive to our needs and quite friendly, that they remembered our names after four days, and numerous guests was impressive, at least to me. The rooms were very clean and had nice furnishings, and the water in the bathroom, was nice and hot. There were wine tasting nights, which many in the hotel attended, and the hotel gave a 20% discount for eating at the inhouse restaurant. But, it was the breakfast that was absolutely wonderful, it had Icelandic as well as buffet style food that would satisfy all tastes. The breakfast set you up for a wonderful day of touring. Had a vast selection of Lps, for you to take to your room and listen to, on a phonograph provided by the hotel, a great way to listen to the many musical genres of Iceland. Highly recommend this place, we will make this our home base next year when we return to continue our exploration of this gem of a nation.
