This was a great place to bring my dog. All of the dogs we encountered were super friendly. There is a hose available to wash up when you are all done soaking up the sand and sun. Make sure to bring shoes to protect your dog’s feet or carry them to the water because the walk through the sand is hot especially during the summer.

Easy access to the beach, foot, and body rinse station for your candy feet/bodies and good for rinsing off your dog, too. Pet friendly. There are restrooms and a water fountain. Lots of cute couples with their dogs. Families too.

Canova Beach Park is one of the few beaches in Florida where you can bring your dog, and it’s a great option if you want to enjoy the ocean with your furry friend. The dog area is small but clean, with bags, trash bins, and rinse stations available. Everyone was friendly, and it was fun seeing other dogs enjoying the beach too. For people, the beach is peaceful, not too crowded, and has picnic tables, bathrooms, showers, and easy access from the parking lot. The sand and water were clean, and we appreciated the relaxed atmosphere. One thing to note: sometimes there are a few drunks hanging around the main entrance, which can feel uncomfortable, but there’s another entrance you can use that’s quieter and more laid-back. The only other downside is that the dog beach section can feel a bit tight if it gets busy, and not everyone strictly follows the leash rules. If your dog needs more space or isn’t comfortable with other dogs approaching, it might be a little overwhelming at times. Still, overall it’s a great local spot to enjoy the sun and surf with your pup. We’ll definitely be back

Great spot for dogs and their humans. Was 1 lady with leashless dog that was going into leashed dogs space. She didn't seem to care at the problems She/and her dog were causing. Water spigot area near parking lot. Does have a covered area with picnic tables but there are several homeless folks (counted 5) in area. Has bathrooms and an outdoor shower. Entrance/exit at a red light.

Canova beach is our favorite pet beach along the central FL east coast, thanks to its accessibility (not too far of a walk to get to the water) and wider shoreline. The view here is gorgeous and it's not over developed so it feels less touristy, which I adore. There is a dog wash station and restrooms/porta potties. This beach can get pretty busy and everyone is pretty good about keeping control of their dogs. Parking is free. My only complaint is parking is VERY limited and I'm not sure where to park when the beach lot is full.

Great free beach parking. Went on a Friday afternoon and there were no open spots but luckily someone was leaving and I was able to park. Really nice beach area with pretty shells, great to take a walk or just relax and stare at the ocean. The restroom area was fenced off but they had a few porta potties in case you really need to go.

It’s awesome that this place exists because it’s extremely hard to find a dog friendly beach. Most all dog owners have leached well behaved dogs. However the lack of law enforcement for the few that don’t is ruining this amazing place. Some unleashed dogs that are aggressive with no supervision from owners and when they do finally notice there dog has no recall. Homeless living at this park keeps growing as well. Hopefully they will step in and enforce laws so it can be the amazing place it once was. My fear is they will just remove the pet friendly because of dog fights that would not happen if leashed with responsible owners

Absolutely beautiful and they have a Dog Park and Free Parking!! The bathrooms need to be tidied up but they are still rebuilding so let's be patient with them! It was the cutest thing to see all the 🐕 🐶 playing on the ⛱️ beach. Mine was too aggressive and I had to go purchase her a bark collar from the Walmart across the street! Very conveniently located by plenty of food and shopping places.
