The Charlotte Restaurants & Bars Featured on “Love Is Blind,” Ranked - Charlotte - The Infatuation

"Canteen can be a bit dead when there’s not an event happening at Camp North End, the mixed-use complex that the bar’s a part of. But that makes it ideal for a private event—like a bachelorette party for AD and Amy. Canteen serves craft beers, mimosas, sake, sangrias, wines, seltzers, and non-alcoholic drinks—but no hard liquor—in a vibrant space with plenty of easy-to-rearrange lounge seating. The colorful murals and lush tropical plants also make great photo backdrops. Of course, we can’t see in those gold glasses, but Amy and AD are wise women who surely ordered Canteen’s signature frozen colada, made with coconut and pineapple juices and prosecco." - tess allen

Today at 10.54am on I-26 near Orangeburg, a Canteen box truck driver nearly cost my family—and several other motorists—their lives. This driver who was black swerved aggressively, pushed us out of our lane, and drove so erratically that we had no choice but to call the police immediately. Canteen, you have a responsibility to keep the public safe. Allowing reckless drivers like this to represent your company is beyond negligent—it’s dangerous. Every second that this individual is behind the wheel of one of your trucks, the public is at risk of a serious tragedy. I strongly urge Canteen management: review your hiring and safety standards, remove unsafe drivers from the road, and prioritize training and accountability before someone ends up seriously injured or worse. Families should not have to gamble with their lives because your company fails to enforce basic road safety. Until changes are made, consider this a warning to anyone sharing the highway with your trucks—stay alert, because Canteen clearly isn’t.

Don't do business with Canteen. Once they have your deposit for the water bottles, and you cancel your service with them; they ghost you and do not respond nor do they give you the security deposit back.....

It's likely going to take your money & give you nothing. With as often as this happens, I'm inclined to believe it's intentional atp.

Canteen now thinks they are in the bottled water & coffee delivery business. They bought out Hav-A-Cup and Quality Water. Unfortunately, that includes my account. And I love the certified North Carolina Spring Water. Nobody else distributes and delivers that product in this area now. As a former consultant in this industry long ago, I will make the following observation and recommendation. You need to pay the drivers a salary plus commission on the bottles and product sold. This motivates them to sell more to the customer. This is not the vending racket. We nearly ran out of water, and I discovered the driver is paid a flat hourly rate with no overtime and/or bonus. Stupid. What corporate stool pigeon came up with that great idea? The route salesman took it upon himself to call be back to set the delivery. Not the office. Piss poor. Your communication sucks. And you treat your dedicated, overworked, route salesperson like garbage. Either change your culture or lose loyal people and the business. Its that simple. If you have any questions about the route sales industry I would be glad to talk for a few minutes.

The sandwiches are expensive and don't include condiments, so they're dry. The meat and vegetable quality is decent. I would like to see this company work with the supplier to include condiment packets in the bags.

Smart Market vending machines are inconsistent at best and literally inoperable at worst. Spent over thirty minutes trying to open one and it simply refused my card no matter what—there are like four ways to open these things and NONE of them work!

Picked up refrigerated load of boxed lunches for children assistance. It was a Saturday fcfs appt, the guy got there right around 10am, loaded the 2 trucks real quickly and left. So if you have an fcfs load, get there at the early time. Really nice people, great cause. (Once in gate, go to back, use the reefer dock to get yourself turned around, it's kind of tight area).
