Yelp
Tried 4 of their 6 restaurants on the opening weekend. The Food hall is nicely designed with a pretty good variety of selection. Cool ramen bar set up like a Japanese street ramen stall. Five stars for the overall experience and friendly staff. Happy to see this new place at Rio! (but still sad about the buffet is gone)
Attaboy Burger 8/10
Got a double smash burger and onion rings, the burger tasted good, but the bun was a bit soggy, not toasty enough. I think that depends on who made the burger, so they need to do better on the quality control. No complaint about the onion rings, stringy thin type, well fried. Will get their 50/50 next time to also try their seasoned fries.
Tender Crush 6.5/10
This place was overhyped.
Got the 32nd street BBQ, the chicken tenders were not crispy and they were smothered in sauce. Can't taste the chicken at all, just a BBQ type of sauce with soggy meat bite.
The seasoned waffle fries was good, big portion and very filling with a good crunch.
Also tried their softserve custard with black and white cookie crumbs. The custard (ice cream) was good, but this was not a good combo, the topping added nothing to it.
Tony Luke's 8/10
They were out of their signature Pork Sandwich, went with their Beef pizza cheesesteak. It was good but nothing "pizza" about it other than a hint of the pizza sauce in it.
Shogun Ramen 8/10
Got the Shogun Ramen, Chicken and Pork broth was a bit on the salty side, but it's a good quality bowl of ramen. Noodles has good texture, chashu was good but didn't blow me away. Decent choice.
Nama Nama (sushi)
Didn't try.
Southland Burrito Co
Didn't try. Heard good things about it. Will try next time.
The price is not as high as strip hotels, but also not cheap. Since Rio has free parking (Food Hall also located right by the garage), if you are in the neighborhood, go check it out.
