New American Cocktail Spot Meliora Is Opening in the Old Canterbury Space - Eater Seattle

"Few bars in Seattle have the legacy that Capitol Hill’s Canterbury Ale House did. For decades, it was a notorious dive, back when Capitol Hill had notorious dives, an allegedly haunted joint that was 90 percent dark corners." - Harry Cheadle

Pretty fun Cap Hill bar! More chill and less crowded than any of the spots around Pike/Pine. Drinks aren't too pricey and there's usually not too long of a wait for shuffleboard or darts. They have specials every night and the Geeks Who Drink trivia on Wednesday is pretty fun. They also have a pretty good brunch!

This place was older very clean for what it was good service one of the best hamburgers I've ever had and my nephew said the same The drinks were on point, alittle bit pricey but definitely worth it in the end. I would definitely return.

Good selection of pub food and beer. They show Tennessee football games every Saturday.

A wonderful and welcoming place, great food, great choice of drinks, you are taken care of super quickly. Absolutely amazing. If you're wondering about the sudden influx of 1 star reviews, some political extremists are not happy about the owner's political views (expressed privately and not relating to this business in any way, shape of form) and thus they have concluded that his business must be shut down. I personally couldn't care less about anyone's beliefs and instead rate the quality of food, drinks, entertainment and service. 5/5, thank you!

I pick up a fair amount of food there for customers. The service is great. I have only been in a couple of times but each time, immediate service, huge flat screens on multiple walls, a pool table, lots of space to relax, nice booths. The food is good according to the customers I deliver for. The only reason I didn't give a 5* is poor parking. Otherwise, its a historic restaurant that locals love on capital hill.

Great place, great food and fantastic service. Very European feel to the place. The food is all highly recommended, I've never had a bad meal there. The service was exactly how I think it should be. They were friendly, made some great recommendations and managed to provide great service without being 'buggy' if ya know what I mean. Try this place and you won't be disappointed!!!

Be advised that they’ve drastically changed their brunch menu. A 1 stack means a half waffle. Mimosas are solid.

I've been coming here for years, and I have to say, I really love the remodel. The place used to be a real dive, but got reorganized and thankfully changed it's old greasy spoon menu. It's a great place for groups or to watch the game. Very affordable and has an awesome brunch!
