Maxie’s Diner replaces Canter’s at The Linq Promenade - Eater Vegas

"Canter’s Deli fans anticipated its return to Las Vegas, which happened at Tivoli Village in 2017, and later at The Linq Promenade. However, Canter’s closed at Tivoli Village last summer, and the Linq Promenade location has now become Maxie’s Diner." - Susan Stapleton

First time dining here and breakfast food was par. Had the three eggs breakfast, with bagel and fruit. I think the hash browns are suppose to be included. Had to ask Hal, the waiter, and he got em. Hal was very friendly and nice. Breakfast food is average, and service during my visit made up for a better experience. This place is located towards the back the Yard House and next to the High Roller.

Where do I begin?!? Let's start with the food. I couldn't have been more disappointed in my experience here which is hard for me because ordinarily I feel you can't go wrong with breakfast. I ordered pancakess & bacon.....simple right?? WRONG....the pancakes are tough and rubbery and the bacon grossly undercooked. I also requested a juice blend (orange & cranberry). My companion ordered a bialy. We arrived at 9:30, ordered at 9:38, at 9:58 we are still without food and the place was NOT crowded. Yet 2 tables Sat after us received their meals and according to our server eggs and hash browns take less time to make than pancakes. My question is WHERE??? MY companion had to leave at 10 and still hadn't received her bialy only to be told they didn't have any today. 20 min to find out they don't have what you ordered. UNACCEPTABLE. At 10 we were told they'd send a manager over. 20 min later a manager arrives....takes food away, offers to remake (I've been here nearly an hour NO THANKS). So now with ALL the Food removed they bring me the bill. $11.26 FOR 2 JUICES. He neglected to tell me that the cranberry juice was in a can so that cost would be in addition to the price of the orange juice which was $3.90 and brought to us on 3/4 full 12 oz. cups. The 4oz can of cranberry juice $2.50. I have never had such horrible service!! I would never patron here again!!

Service is very good. Food though is just okay. Tried the mushroom avocado omelette and a knish. However, I found hair in my omelette.

Getting a dessert to go was fast and easy. The dessert was boxed up, placed in an easy to carry out bag and it tasted great.

Our server was extremely rude. They didn't have enough staff on hand for the customers. They were out of everything. I ordered essentially crepes, and they said the bakery was out of them. ...they're crepes. They take 5 minutes. The shining moment was when I took a sip of my orange juice and saw a lipstick print. ...I was not wearing lipstick. Maybe their food is great, but we didn't stay to eat it after that.

This was a nice place to sit outside and people watch. It is located on the new Linc promenade. We had just been on the high roller observation wheel and wanted something quick and light to eat. My wife and I split a turkey sandwich. I thought the turkey was too dry, I needed a lot to drink to wash it down. Our waitress was very nice and helpful. She brought us samples of the other meats they offer. I liked the pastrami the best, I would order it next time.

Awesome sandwiches and even better service! Our waitress was quite friendly and new the menu well. She was able to make recommendations based o what we said we liked and didn't like and how hungry we were. Food came out quickly and was a decent price.
