Love this spot. The staff is super sweet and the food is great. I almost always get the Sopa de Tortilla and the enchiladas, because they are so good I can’t get enough. Want to try the pancakes one day because they also look amazing.

Usually this place is good but today I ordered a chicken quesadilla and there were huge pieces of bone in it - sharp and a choking hazard. I called and they said “it’s normally like that”. This needs to be fixed - super dangerous!

Visited this spot on my way to NYC. It was a small place with typical dinner food. Nothing spectacular, but the service was above average and the carried some unique natural juices. If you are ever in the Long Island City area, give them a try.

The music can be a little loud. The waitress that served us was nice, but I will say that it seemed a little bit, rushed due to the fact that every couple minutes she would come over and ask if you wanted a drink. Even when we weren’t finished ordering yet, but other than that, I guess that’s a good thing. They are very attentive but if you’re someone who just likes to take your time, it doesn’t like to be rushed then that may bother you. I did like the atmosphere. It was a little cramped but the music and the design of the restaurant was very nice. It was very cute. I did like the vibe and I also loved the food. The food was delicious. There was nothing wrong with it. I definitely recommend the quesadillas and the tamarind drink.

As a white person who loves Mexican food, I was really hoping that the authentic dishes on the menu like Huevos Rancheros or chilaquiles would be authenticly spicy. They play to their largely white clientele, so cry secretly to yourself and order the highly competent American eggs & bacon, pancakes and such. Too bad since making authenticly spicey enchilada sauce is so easy to make for those of us coming for Mexican, especially with a real Mexican grocery literally next door.

New go-to in the neighborhood. Delicious, authentic Mexican. Inviting atmosphere with comfy seating, the food was well-seasoned and flavorful.

Nice and quiet place the atmosphere is cozy the service was great I really like the lemonade I can see myself coming back here great place for quick or cozy meal.

Little did I know that this diner also serves some awesome Mexican food! I had their steak enchiladas suizas, and the taste was incredible. You could really taste the flavors and salsa verde. My friends had a quesadilla and a burrito bowl. They also really loved their choices. We had a tiramisu, on the house, after we ate. The waiter was phenomenal and very kind. It's a small diner, but worth it for the food and service.

Dinners/ole' fashioned coffee shops have been closing in NYC. It's nice to see the tradition of no frills, well priced grub continue. I've passed by this place for a while and today at last, I stopped by. I ordered an NYC breakfast staple (bacon, egg and cheese on a roll) and they delivered the goods. Coffee and ambiance were adequate. The staff was friendly and surprised that I walked in and sat at the counter. It seems they do more delivery than eat-in. Let's boost their eat-in customer base fellow Yelpers....

Hubby and I came here for breakfast one morning because Hubby found it via Google. Yea, what would you do without googling? You could starve to death lol. Angie was our waitress. She's a sweet lady. I saw Huevos rancheros, so I ordered that immediately, and Hubby ordered the create-own omelet they have on the menu. I would suggest you order this instead of ordering from the types of omelets they have on the menu. It's slightly cheaper than the set, and you can choose what you like. The cafe has enough tables for morning patrons. They also offer outside seating. We thought it was a great breakfast place for a change. My Huevos Rancheros was amazing! Everything's great.

This place is a small, chill gem. Part Mexican restaurant and part diner, it's wild how much you can get here and how incredibly reasonable the prices are for the area. Nothing off the menu has disappointed, including the huevos rancheros, enchiladas suizas, and chile relleno. Everything is fresh and made with care. The staff are friendly and attentive. The pinnacle of Cantina 35, in my opinion, is the horchata which I think I could drink by the gallon if given the opportunity.

I can tell this place will become my first choice for dining out. The workers treat customers with consideration. Their nice attitude is the final ingredient. Their dishes offer fullness and financial sense. The entire meal was consistently excellent.

Nice small spot to have lunch, food disappointed not what I was expecting, I will not recommend this place if you really want to try good food, service was fine I just don't like those hand paper receipts which I didn't understood what the charges were for? The hand written check was certain amount with tax included and when they brought my printed check paid was $10 extra? I did see any ambience there, this people who gives 5 stars need more knowledge about rating a business.

I was craving pancakes so I came to Yelp and it led me here. Great ambiance. Cozy, intimate diner feel with really friendly staff. Food was fresh, filling and not greasy. I will definitely be back and could easily see myself becoming a regular! Staff is super super friendly!!

We came here for breakfast last week. I ordered scrambled eggs and bacon, and my partner her usual bagel. We found an old waitress who we knew from a previous eatery (Lite Bites) who gave us special service. Another waitress took our order so there was a fight over the tip

Small homey diner with good food and good coffee. They have a wide variety of menu items including health conscious options and a natural smoothie bar. The customer service was excellent. The staff was attentive, warm, and kind. The inside is small but cozy. A great spot for a coffee date, friend date, or solo date.

We just moved to Astoria and this diner is already our go-to! The service is excellent and the food is delicious. The environment is very friendly and welcoming. The smoothies are 10/10!!

So excited for this diner! It's got a classic diner menu, lots of options. Good prices. I come here once a week for breakfast with my husband. Staff is really nice. Music selection is also always fun hah. Open until 11pm. There really isn't a place like this in the area - so go there and support them! Highly recommend!

I LOVE 35 Ave. Diner! It's good solid classic diner food, cooked right. Eggs your way, pancakes, waffles, and yes, great coffee. Prices are super reasonable. Aren't you tired of overpaying for food everywhere?? You can get a very solid full breakfast for under $10 here (their club sandwich including home fries is $8.95 I think). A bit more if you go fancy pancakes with fresh berries, which is amazing and fresh, or one of the meat dishes (bacon, ham, etc.) The staff are friendly, down-to-earth folks who will really take care of you. The kitchen is open, so it's cool to see your food being cooked by the awesome chefs. Vibe is very relaxed and welcoming, usually playing NY1 news on the TVs. It's your local neighborhood diner at its finest. There is another diner within a few blocks (which shall go unnamed) but every time I go the food just . . . isn't cooked right. A pity because their location is so good. Anyone within the 35 Ave. / 31 Street area should definitely give 35 Ave. Diner a try.

This place doesn't have many reviews yet because it's fairly new and kinda hidden off the main drags of the commercial businesses- so I'm drawing attention to it here! Small, cozy diner right on the corner of 35 Avenue and 30 Street in Astoria. They have a big menu selection too! I was in the mood for coffee and breakfast food so today's stop I ordered just that and had quite a few refills on the coffee haha Service was great- the waiter kept checking on us and making sure we were all set. The portions were really big too- you get what you pay for- and speaking of that- prices are very reasonable. I know it's just breakfast I had today but the food was delicious and filling! They have lunch and dinner items as well but I will have to save that for another time. Also loved the fact that they were playing 80's music over my head haha- I think that was just random for the day- but I always appreciate good music when I go out to eat. I noticed some out door seating for those who prefer sitting outside too. Was a tad hot today so we opted to stay inside. I hope more people stop in here and share their good reviews about this spot because it seems to be a hidden little gem here. I'll be sure to come back and try out some lunch and dinner items!

Ordered breakfast here. The breakfast burrito omelet was amazing! The blueberry pancakes was a little different than we expected since there's no blueberry in the pancakes, just a few whole blueberries on top and on the side.

a solid diner in astoria on 35th ave that serves breakfast, lunch , dinner , all to examine via the the extensive menu. came for breakfast on sunday morning and grabbed a booth in the back area which at 9am is already fillled . good breakfast , fair prices and very good service adds up to a wonderful beginning to my sunday morning .egg whites are fluffy , french toast is thick and chewy and coffee is strong like me .one of the better diners in astoria and most are good which means plenty to me as i have been to some horrible ones .will give lunch a go very soon as the menu choices are plenty and look tasty .lets give 4.5 stars on my yelp meter.

Pancakes are amazing. I went in at 4pm wondering what I would get and they turned out to be some of the best pancakes I have ever had. Eaten here about 5 times now, burgers & fries were good too. Friendly staff, reminds me of what Bel-Aire was like 10 years ago.

We eat breakfast here once a week. Good service, great diner menu, fair prices, and very consistent. Always enjoy my cappuccino, omelets, or eggs Benedict. We haven't tried 35 Ave Diner for lunch or dinner but their menu has awesome variety for those meals. There's no better diner in the area, and one of the only places to get a full breakfast. Also very cool that it closes at 11. Happy to have this new spot!

Amazing spot to have so close to me! Food is always great, as well as service! The owner Oliver is super friendly too! I've had breakfast, lunch and dinner here and have never been disappointed!

This was a last-minute order for dinner @ 6:30 pm. I was about to order online through food.google.com to see what the bill came to and it showed $41.20 (Screenshot provided) in the second photo you can see my checkout bill $58.57 to order and pick up in person. I almost dropped to the floor to get this bill. I told the guy these were not the prices I got from food.google.com and this bill was outrageously overpriced compared to what I saw online. He tells me that it needs to be updated. Ok so a Chicken Ceasar Salad is $19.95 I said to him I can get the same thing at the Deli down the block for $10 and your Onion Soup is $8.95 each not $5.45. He wouldn't even honor what I saw online. I thought of just walking away and leaving it there but it was getting late and ordering somewhere else would have been much later in the night so I paid and left. I told him you will never see me again come to your establishment. If you look at the rest of the menu their dishes are very high priced for a small spot. I could have just ordered from the nearby Bel Aire diner. After eating the food it was mediocre at best not even worth a sitdown.
