i visited this location earlier today and was very disappointed by both the food and the service. i don’t usually write reviews, but this experience has been on my mind all day. for one, the food was honestly terrible! everything was overly salty to the point where one meal here felt like it could cause every salt related health issue imaginable. the tortillas were sticking to my teeth and the chips were stale. on top of the other items that we ordered, we also ordered the street corn, which tasted like nothing but lime.
our waiter was very kind and attentive, and i truly appreciated that. when we mentioned that the food wasn’t great, he offered to get the manager to see what could be done. unfortunately, that’s when things got worse. the manager (a heavy set white male) was extremely rude and dismissive. he approached our table and said, “is there something wrong with the food, or do you just not like it?” i explained that the food was overly salty and stale, and mentioned that the street corn just tasted like lime. his response was, “yeah, it has lime in it.” obviously, i know that but if i wanted to just taste lime, i would’ve just ordered one. before the person that i was with could explain what was wrong with their order, the manager walked away mid-sentence. i’m leaving two stars solely because of our waiter, who genuinely tried his best. unfortunately, i don’t think i’ll be returning until they start cutting back on the salt, invest in some new seasonings, and perhaps add a few days of management training to improve their customer service.
