If you’re passing through DFW Airport and looking for a solid meal, Cantina Laredo in Terminal D is the place to go! I was expecting just an average airport meal, but this place completely exceeded my expectations. I ordered the Carne Asada, which came with beans and rice, and it was absolutely incredible. The steak was cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Every bite was packed with just the right amount of seasoning, and you could tell it was made with care. The rice and beans were great complements, adding to the authentic taste of the dish. One of the standout parts of the meal was the chips and salsa—seriously amazing! The chips were fresh and crispy, and the salsa had the perfect balance of flavor and heat. It’s not just an afterthought here; they really do it right. Service was fast and friendly, which is exactly what you want in an airport setting. The staff was welcoming, efficient, and got everything out quickly without making the experience feel rushed. Overall, this is one of the best airport meals I’ve had. This place has absolutely great food, great service, and a solid atmosphere. Highly recommend stopping by if you have time before your flight! And a bonus says if you tell them you’re in a hurry, they will tell you what they can get you quickly.

Proper dine in place inside airport. Options were good only not really . But the staff was good . Food was delicious . Was served with chips and salsa . Had vegetarian enchiladas which was good. Portion size was decent and filling. Food quality was fresh. Din have to wait much to get the food. Overall good food.

We came in For breakfast. Upon entry the space is well lit. There is music playing softly in the background. It is spacious and well laid out. Breakfast was very limited. I have an egg allergy and every single item on the menu included eggs and you cannot order a la cart. The items that I ate on the plate were good. The potatoes were crispy, the multi grain toast was toasty, the bacon had a great flavor but was sparse and thin. My husband had the breakfast tacos. The flour tortillas was soft and warm, the eggs soft and fluffy. There was enough meat in the taco. The dipping sauce was just the right amount of spice and tang. Overall good food, unless you have an egg allergy .

The establishment at Terminal D (D22-D23) was clean and well-maintained. But the interior design, bar top, chairs/tables looked a bit out of date. The restaurant was quite spacious with lots of seats and tables. There were not many guests in the restaurant when I visited. It seemed a good place to stay while waiting for the flight; very cozy! The environment was not crowded or noisy. The bartender was friendly. The margarita, mango paloma rita, tasted fruity and sweet as I expected.

Got bad vibes from the beginning. Dead give away when the bar looked like it hadn't been cleared for a dew servings. We waiter to be seated with no one around them. A lady came from outside and told my wife and me and all the other people waiting that we could just sit anywhere. We got seated, and all seemed ok. Our waitres said they ran out of chips and salsa... what Mexicana restaurant runs out of chips and salsa?? She never asked if we needed any refill on our drinks, and the chips and salsa were not worth the wait. They might have been freshly made chips, but they taste like they were made with stale tortillas, and the salsa had no flavor. I ordered a tortilla soup that was over salted. My wife had the spinach enchiladas, which were the best of the whole experience. I would definitely not recommend it.

Great spot to grab a margarita or beer while waiting for a flight! Free chips and salsa too!! :)

Google
The food was ok for an airport restaurant, although there is so much room to improve. The biggest disappointment is that the total amount of the bill was $86.56 and I rounded up to $100.00 including the tip. But now I see they have charged me $101.56! I was on a business trip so I had to take a photo of the bill and today when reporting my trip expenses, I realized the difference. This is a very specific number for someone to make a mistake for and seems more intentional. I hope it is not. I even tried to contact their costumer service and tried the two numbers on their website but no one answered. The extra $1.56 is not much, but what they have done is wrong! And if they are doing this to frequently, then it makes it a significant amount they are overcharging or basically stealing!

Google
The food was ok, but to be honest the value was incredibly low. $10.00 for a tiny cup of cheese dip? $18 for tacos made with stale grocery store crunchy shells with no sides like beans or rice or anything. Not their fault I suppose but the place was also infested with tiny little flies.

Yelp
We were seated quickly and our food was delivered within 10 minutes. I enjoyed the Pollo Asado Bowl. The portion size was perfect and the flavors, textures, and temperature were perfect. We were seated in a relatively quiet area which was nice. My wife was less impressed with the Mango and Pollo Ensalada. While the blend of ingredients was good, the lack of dressing made the plethora of greens less enticing.

Yelp
For airport food it was pretty good. I had the carne asada tacos which were tasty but different than what I am used to. The meat seemed very thick. I'm used ti the carne being thinner. No biggie. The mango tres leches was also pretty good My server Jose R was great.

Yelp
THE best airport food ever! Clean friendly prompt yet chill- & shockingly high quality ingredients. I will absolutely be coming here again! (especially since the gluten free food on American Air is ick! Looks pretty but no taste... even with first class ticket I was so thankful I'd ate before! Especially since then plane was delayed 1.5hrs... so pro tip always eat good before getting on plane! Especially if u have accessibility/dietary needs!) (And I almost never give 5 stars! But this was a 4.75!!!)

Yelp
To quote Jisoo from BlackPink - "not bad, but not good." If you find yourself in the B wing of the monstrously huge Dallas airport, this is a solid option. You'll be seated quickly. Food comes out quick. Servers are friendly. The food is okay. Not as good as other "fast food" Mexican options like Chipotle or Baja Fresh. Their tortillas could use some extra love and the queso isn't spectacular. Options are limited so I chose this spot over the McDonalds down the way. Also, there is a time and place for bouginess and being in this part of the Dallas airport is not one of those. :)

Yelp
Not a bad place to eat while you have a layover if you are hungry for Mexican food. Had the Cancun plate which had a little bit of everything. Service was amazing given how busy the restaurant was. Was seated quickly and the staff was constantly around asking if I needed anything. With the tight spaces, they even pulled out the table so I could sit down.

Yelp
Hey....this place is an airport....so let's not expect like it should be totally out of this world. The Guac was pretty good and well worth getting. Chips are descent - thin, crisp and a good enough taste. Salsa....nit too bad, but pretty mild tasting. Cheese dip....didn't care for this one much. Texture was a lumpy/broken texture....and a taste that just wasn't there. Fajitas....i didn't have....but enough of them went by our table....they sure had the right smell. That dish may very well be a 4 star dish, just based on the looks and smell. I've had an order or two of fajitas....you'd be surprised how I can be a pretty good judge this way....lol.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised with this place. The food was very very good. Some of the best Mexican I've had in a while. The service was fast and friendly. Very fast. The team working here was great. I enjoy watching a team work together and help each out and pitch in wherever they can. Trying to find how to help each other without being asked.

Yelp
Dropped in during a layover for a quick breakfast. There were 5-6 different breakfast dish options available at the time so I opted for the Americana with coffee. Meal came with three eggs, bacon or sausage (opted for crispy bacon), potatoes & toast. Service was friendly, attentive & quick (even made sure to ask how much time I had before my flight). Food was hot & tasty. Cups of coffee did what hot coffee is supposed to do in the morning. I'd definitely drop in again.

Yelp
For an airport restaurant this place is actually pretty damn good! The service is fast and the bartenders are so friendly. Last I was there I got the burrito and it was so good! If youre in DFW and looking for some yummy MX food check this one out.

Yelp
Came in for a quick bite to eat whilst on my layover. I was seated right away, and my server was so friendly and got water for my traveling pup. I didn't have too big of an appetite so I ordered the chicken tortilla soup, it was the perfect amount. Very tasty and the chips/salsa were great as well.
google avatar

Alison L.

Yelp
Had one of the salads and a few beers. The salad was fresh and delicious. Also hand a cup of the queso and it was great as well. Customer service and cleanliness was top notch

Yelp
As other reviews have mentioned, this is an airport bar/restaurant so don't expect perfection. I was very hungry though, and this place killed the craving. They give you chips and salsa, and I ordered the chicken asada tacos which come with beans and rice. Brunch is only available until 10AM and I came at 10:04 AM and it was no longer available. There were only 2 servers there and they were clearly working very hard but did seem a wee bit overwhelmed since several folks came around the time I arrived. They were very sweet nonetheless - shout out to Natalia :) I forgot to take a pic of the drink menu but they do have a full bar here as well. Overall - this place is fine, I left full but wouldn't seek it out again unless hungry and in this airport again (still suspect it's better than most other fast food options available, at least in my opinion).

Yelp
I thought the service was great... until my credit card information was stolen last week by an employee. The bank is currently investigating but the only time the card was used was at this location prior to all of the fraudulent charges being made. This person managed to gift themselves with nearly $700 of my money that was spent at Six Flags, Urban Air, Buffalo Wild Wings, Panda Express, and a children's clothing store, but they attempted to spend over $1,000. LUCKILY, my bank noticed the strange charges and shut the card off from further use... UNLUCKILY, I was on the first day of my vacation in Alaska when my card was shut off from my own use as well. Buyer beware. Pay cash.

Yelp
Wish I'd read Yelp before wasting $24 on the worst Mexican food I've ever had. Dallas isn't that far from Mexico, how can they get it so wrong? I've had better Mexican food in Canada! I'm no snob but I'm no stranger to Tex-Mex either and this was horrible. Undercooked bland food, small serving sizes with high prices. Wait staff who ignored drink refills even when the place wasn't packed. If this wasn't in a DFW terminal where people are captive and have little choice, they would be out of business.

Yelp
Great service, quality food and atmosphere. Roasted salsa was exceptional this afternoon along with our chips. Guacamole prepared at the table and was tasty & seasoned just right. We had missed our local cantinas and were so glad to find this Cantina Laredo!
google avatar

Lucio N.

Yelp
The Service was GREAT! Very attentive hosts and waiter! The Ambiance was very pleasing..nothing bad at all..unfortunately, the plate I ordered didn't really have the kick that I expected. The Chorizo and egg platter could use more seasoning. As a Mexican, this is was NOT an "Oh my Gaht" experience....and Cantina Laredo needs to do some more research as to what true Tex Mex Chorizo and Egg is....the potato side was a bit undercooked and lacked flavor as well.. I do not think any person from Laredo will feel proud of their beloved city being represented by this establishment. The plate did not (in my opinion) live up to the Laredo in the name of the place. I suggest your head chef ( and his cooks) take a couple of weeks sabbatical in Laredo and Nuevo Laredo to taste the TRUE Tex Mex Food. Not hating, just constructive criticism... :) Rating: Service and Ambiance - GREAT! Food - Can be better... ( In my Opinion) Thanks!

Yelp
Not bad for an airport dinner! I was seated promptly with no wait around 8pm. They are open until 9pm, but they only serve dips and tacos after 8pm. I didn't mind because I was craving Mexican. They provide complimentary chips and salsa right when you sit down. There are many TVs around the bar for watching sports. I ordered the traditional hard-shell ground beef tacos which came with rice and beans. Food came out quickly and was decently priced at $16. It was a nice serving size and food tasted good! There was basically zero service though, nobody came by to check on me after I ordered. Water was never refilled and I had to wait a while to pay. I'm glad I found a spot in the terminal that had solid food at a reasonable price, but the minimal service could certainly be improved.
google avatar

Nicole R.

Yelp
If this was a restaurant outside an airport, I would be sorely disappointed. Since it is in an airport, it's more or less what I would expect: overpriced and mediocre at best. The chips were weird. Very thin and oily but also almost stale. Salsa was decent. The pollo chipotle was just a large piece of grilled chicken breast smothered in a sauce that was pretty good with bland rice and black beans. The peach mojito was pretty weak. On the bright side, service was quick and staff were attentive. If I stop in DFW again this certainly won't be my first choice.
google avatar

Erikka T.

Yelp
Fast, friendly service. The food was fresh and hot albeit a little bland, nothing a little hot sauce can't fix! Located right at the base of the sky train escalator in terminal B, this place fit in perfectly with our layover time. Not too loud, not too quiet with a bar in the middle.
google avatar

Tim S.

Yelp
Look, this is food at an airport so you have to grade on a curve here. My steak tacos were not bad. The chips and salsa was meh. Same for the cheese dip. The margarita was rather pedestrian.
google avatar

Kerry G.

Yelp
I was early for my flight so I figured I'd grab some Mexican food before heading home. Service is great. I was seated immediately. The airport was quiet, but still. I walked up and was seated. First thing you need to know. The picante sauce is just that, picante. Be careful if you are used to the normal, sauce from a jar, most Mexican restaurants serve. I got the chicken fajita burrito. It was beautiful. I almost hated to eat it because it was so pretty. Taste wise, it was okay. The frijoles were bland, but a scoop of the picante sauce fixed that. The rice is tasty and went well with the burrito. They have six beers on tap. That's more than other places I looked at in terminal B. Will I eat here again? Maybe

Janice B.

Yelp
Please, if you value your palate and your wallet, read the reviews. This was, quite possibly, the worst food I've ever eaten in a restaurant. The service was also just, well, sad. Lunch time. Not busy at all. Ordered two Chimichangas. If these ever even made it close to a fryer, I'd be surprised. A soggy mess covered in bad canned queso. The rice was dry, crunchy and tasteless. Asked several times for chips and salsa. Finally arrived at the end of our meal. Also, flavorless. The only worthy item was the $10 bottle of Corona. Just go to see Ronald and get a Big Mac. You can thank me later.
google avatar

Armando L.

Yelp
Late flight out and this place was still open. The staff was quick to seat us and take our order. The restaurant was clean and pleasant. Our food took no more than 5 mins to come out. It was crazy fast! The food itself was just fine. No fine cuisine here. Tortillas, meat, rice and beans. Kind of hard to mess that up. Recommend if you're hungry for Mexican at the airport.
google avatar

Lisa A.

Yelp
Meh. Chips were thin and crispy and salsa was good, but the pollo burrito was kind of flavorless. The sour cream sauce seemed to be just a thin, flavorless white sauce devoid of the taste or texture of sour cream. The shredded poblano peppers where undetectable as well. Frozen passionfruit margarita didn't taste anything like passionfruit and the receipt said, "apple pucker." Prices were quite steep. My server, Zoe, was helpful and pleasant. It made an okay place to pass the time on Monday night while waiting for my delayed flight, but the prices were just way too high for the quality of food. I would not recommend this.

Christian C.

Yelp
The restaurant was out of salsa. Somewhat long wait for one meal. The food is edible, but the most mediocre Mexican food I have ever had, with one of the most expensive price tags for it. Don't recommend.
google avatar

Corby O.

Yelp
Wife and I grabbed a bite here during our 3 hour layover at DFW waiting to head to North Carolina. A+ for the service, the host was friendly and got us seated right away and our waitress was a whirlwind of efficiency handling all 8-9 tables at once and stopping by several times to check on us, refill drinks and make sure we were good. The food left something to be desired. I liked the chips and salsa but the white sauce on the enchiladas was not great, it needed some help flavor wise and was thick and kind of overbearing. The beans were mush and the rice, while well cooked, was bland. The actual chicken inside the enchiladas was great, if they covered it with a flavorful red sauce or put something else into that white sauce it would have been really good but the sauce just wasn't pleasant and overwhelmed the taste. I deconstructed my enchiladas and ate them after removing a lot of sauce and mixing some salsa in to help.

Alexandra B.

Yelp
This is my first time eating at this seat down restaurant. it is located in terminal B of DFW airport. The restaurant offers free chips and salsa as soon as you sit down. The salsa was mild but good and the chips were thin and crispy. I ordered the chicken fajitas. The serving was a good size and was sizzling hot! The server was nice and came to check in on me twice, and brought me a refill of the salsa. The beans that accompanied the fajitas were flavorful but the rice lacked "sazón" and it was quite bland and tasteless. For an airport meal it was good and I was very satisfied.

Tucker T.

Yelp
If I could give it a 0 I would. I sat at the bar and the two Bartenders talked about how they need to take stuff to not be all over the place as they ran around not paying attention to any of the customers. I ordered two eggs, toast, and bacon at 8:40. It took them till 9:54 to tell me I'm not getting my food and they gave it to somebody else. Needles to say I will never try this place again.

Rob H.

Yelp
Price is steep for what you get. Service is terrible. Food was Qdoba quality. Go to Qdoba instead and save some cash.
google avatar

Suzanne B.

Yelp
I ordered the chicken fajita bowl. I expected it to be obscenely overpriced, but a portion so small that I felt bad for the server having to deliver it, and half-raw rice? C'mon.
google avatar

Hameed A.

Yelp
So bad and false advertising. carne asada barely warm. Marg on menu said muddled watermelon- nope. Had fake watermelon flavoring. No steak knives so I'm cutting with a butter knife. All for $66 Just cookie-cutter, conveyor belt food
google avatar

Tony Y.

Yelp
Server seems like he was in too much of hurry to take his time and not talk like the Micro Machine Man. He rattled off some drink options so fast I had to ask him to repeat himself twice. The salsa was cold. Not room temperature. Cold as if it had been refrigerated. The tacos were also cold when I got them. The beans had that crust you get when they sit out too long. If you're hungry, go somewhere else.

Mike H.

Yelp
Wow! What happened to this place? Every time I am going through Dallas I stop on. Today, I walked all the way from terminal A just to enjoy one of my favorites. I literally asked 4 times if they could wipe down my spot at the bar. Never did and finally gave up! Guy next to me same thing. He did wait because he was pissed! Bartender put silverware roll down in front of me and it nicely soaked up the hot sauce that was on the bar top in front of me from the previous guest. I asked for a new one. Ordered a beer no lime, came with a lime. Ordered Queso Laredo and came with no chips. They kept asking everyone at the bar if they were regulars. I guess if you answered no you were not treated the same. It was busy but there were three bartenders and that was plenty to provide top service. Someone needs to seriously retrain these bartenders on the steps of service that Cantina follows and learn to consolidate steps. I was a bartender at Cantina Laredo Gilbert, AZ for 12 years and what I saw today was a total embarrassment. I will give them another try on my next trip simply because I value the leadership at CRO. Yelp
I had a long layover at the airport and decided to try the tacos. Let me start off by saying the service was great from beginning to end. The chips were thin and crispy, but a bit greasy, tacos were lackluster, I honestly expected more from them even being in the airport, rice was ok, along with the beans. The meal was okay as a whole, just left me wanting more flavor.
google avatar

Matthew S.

Yelp
Very slow and poor service, along with only average food. Sat down and waited for over five minutes for anyone to acknowledge that I was there. Finally one waitress asked if I was being helped and I told her no. She said she would help me and immediately the woman who was supposed to help me ran over and apologized for running so late. She took my order and asked if I would like chips and salsa. I said yes, and she returned shortly with them. While delivering the salsa she accidentally stuck her fingers into the salsa and wiped her hand on her pants after putting the salsa down. Didn't even bother to ask if she could replace it. Totally disgusting Nardin! My dinner arrived and it wasn't anything special. I ordered the carne asada fajita burrito. Don't bother! Taco Bell makes better burritos at a tenth of the price. No refills on drinks were offered either. Completely ignored from start to finish. My dinner has been finished for about 15 minutes and my waitress is nowhere to be found. Won't be coming here again!
google avatar

Kat N.

Yelp
Service was excellent and I didn't have to wait for a table. Server (Alex) was courteous, quick and attentive. For airport quality food, everything was tasty, especially the tortilla soup. The guacamole was yummy and the ahi tacos were healthy and fresh.
google avatar

Chandi M.

Yelp
Update: Well this was our stop when in the Dallas Airport but I have to say that will no longer be the case. So on our latest layover my husband and I stopped in and needed a drink and food. Well my husband found a wire in his salsa which to me looked like someone's wire from their braces but my husband says it looks like a twisty-tie. Either way the waitress just took it and said it looks like a grill brush wire (which kill people look it up) never offered to comp our meal but she was extra attentive which was a switch for this restaurant. Manger please see my latest photo and talk to the staff, I couldn't imagine what could of happened to my husband if he didn't see the wire and ate it.

Stephanie G.

Yelp
Not busy, close To my gate. Waited for the dude to notice me to seat me . Waited for the waitress. Ordered a beer and queso. Beer is hot queso has grease floating on it . Go To Subway .
google avatar

Alyona Z.

Yelp
7/14/20 Grabbed a meal before my second leg of my flight from Dallas to lexington. I ordered the salted watermelon tequila drink which was strong like I like it. Also has the ahi tuna tacos with avacado. It was all tasty. The staff was friendly and accommodating, they were also following covid-19 revaluations with masks and gloves and sanitation. I appreciated eating here and enjoyed myself thoroughly. Would definitely eat here again next time I'm at this airport.
google avatar

Penny R.

Yelp
I. Spite of the very noisy and overly enthusiastic hostess that turns away many people from her loud screaming g in the terminal... The salsa is spicy and very tempting g to just want to eat it and nothing else! The meals on the menu looked huge. I asked and they do have individual orders.. So I ordered 2 chicken taco.. small corn tortilla loaded with chicken, avocado, quest, cilantro and tomatoes!! Cold beer and a non rushed feeling. In the B concourse of the airport

C L.

Yelp
First thing is the layout. They don't jam people in like sardines. Lots of space, nice layout. For an airport big plus! Staff was awesome. The hostess made a point of wiping down my table again because there was a little smudge in the opposite corner. Attention to detail! Hostess, wait staff were all friendly- made eye contact and smiled. Very uncharacteristic for an airport restaurant. Food was fast, exactly to order and delicious. I had low expectations for an airport "cantina" but they scored high in food too. Airport prices but that's to be expected so 5 stars for them. This was on a bad weather day too so I'm very pleased and will return when my travel brings me back through DFW!
google avatar

Christian D.

Yelp
The service here was fast and terrific. My water and salsa bowl were always kept full and the food was hot and delicious. Flavors were great, for airport food, and not bad in general. Prices were also not bad considering it's in an airport. Overall it was a really good experience.
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
I always seem to hit up this place since they have a lot of seating. Nice wait staff but the corn tortillas tasted raw and the chips had a funky flavor - like some tasted stale. Their prices have definitely increased. $17 for a quesadilla. WHAT?!

Ishan A.

Yelp
Awesome service and a great manager (Axel) that catered to all our needs! The place has great food too especially the mango cake

Ian S.

Yelp
Server was good at feigning interest in whether or not I enjoyed this meal. I get it, sorta, that being this is airport food and the luxury of having something that was relatively warm and not wrapped in plastic is better than not. I had the huevos brunch thingy. See photo. It came with some potatoes - just a few - I mean we don't wanna overdo it on the potatoes, anyway, so maybe they care so much about us all that they're regulating the carbs for us so we don't have to fight temptation. How nice. The Bloody Mary was as basic as basic could be - no olives, or pickles or anything except Bloody Mary mix, vodka and a lime. It's not how I would make a Bloody Mary but who says I'm the expert? The wobbly table they put me at, way in the back, was an interesting touch, too. Thankful I brought napkins to sure the whole thing up.
google avatar

Janet S.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised! We had a long layover and decided to have a sit down meal, not just snacking on the way to the gate. Our waitress was very kind and very helpful! We loved that we got chips and salsa for free to start, the salsa is amazing and very spicy! We split the beef fajitas, and the meat was very tender and flavorful, with delicious onions! Came with lots to add like sour cream, pico and guac. I also got the sangria swirl margarita which was tasty, and in a pint glass.
google avatar

Bill A.

Yelp
Solid airport Mexican food at typical airport prices. The tacos were decent, but could have used a bit of spice. The rice and black beans were both very tasty. The house margaritas were full-sized glasses, but were lacking in flavor. The proximity to my gate and the speed of the service were both extremely convenient.
google avatar

Frank M.

Yelp
Good service, ok Mexican food. Beans had no flavor, and chips were greasy, but the chicken enchiladas were delicious.
google avatar

Maggie H.

Yelp
Delicious Mexican food! I had the cheese enchiladas and my friend had the chicken. We agree that the food was filling but not heavy. Is this what enchiladas taste like outside if the Midwest? If so, I may need to move south. Guac good too. Staff wore masks properly and distanced.
