This Brussels Hotel’s Interior Champions a 1970s Revival Aesthetic - Hotels Above Par - Boutique Hotels & Travel

"This ground-floor restaurant is a compact celebration of Peruvian gastronomy and mixology, serving a menu of shareable dishes and crafted cocktails; standout food includes the Tequeño—crispy cheese wontons—while the signature CV Pisco Sour mixes Barsol Peruvian pisco with citrus, orange flower water, egg white and lemon sherbet for a bright, balanced cocktail."

Amazing restaurant tucked in the middle of busy neighborhood. Very cozy and surprisingly serene. The design of the restaurant is nicely curated and thought of. Food was amazing and topped off with friendly services. Had a very huge portion of mussels which i think double the normal portion you would get at any other restaurant. The duck was very soft and tasty. Overall a satisfying experience.

The service in this place was awful. I ordered an avocado toast, and not only was disappointed when the bread was over toasted, but the avocado had something mixed in. Also, my friend was ordering something, wanting avocados with it, and our waiter said that it was already included. Their menu was NOT descriptive enough. We also ordered 2 acai bowls at the same time as everything else, and they were not delivered to us until I came up and asked for them. Our waitress then told us "Sorry for the wait, do you want me to refill your drinks since you have to wait so long for free?" Which was nice, but when we finally got the acai bowls, there was just one. We had to ask for the other one because they forgot. I want to mention that there were maybe 3 or 4 more parties in the whole restaurant. Not that crowded. The waiters just spent their time CHATTING. When we did finally get our drinks refilled, our waiter spilled my drink and did not even bother to wipe it! We just went earlier today, and I would not recommend it unless you are ready to sit in that cafe all day, waiting for your orders. The acai bowl and matcha was good, but do NOT get the avocado toast. And double-check what else comes in your meal with your waiter. Quite disappointing for such a nice atmosphere.

The restaurant is overall nice but if you don't like spicy food or have allergy this will be a difficult place for you as most of the dishes are spicy and made with aji. The menu is good and the good is clearly very fresh. The drinks are also very interesting and they bring authentic Peruvian flavours to the dishes they offer. The place can get quite loud during dinner and it's also a bit dark (the lights are not very bright). The staff is fast and it doesn't take long to get your order.

My compliments to the chef. We came here for breakfast and the food was great. I would highly recommend the avocado toast with egg and bacon. Sounds simple but the salsa on top of avocado really makes it stand out. A good mix of flavours. Well done. Please tell Tope upstairs that guacamole doesn’t always come from a tube. Thank you so much for having us.

A colorful Peruvian restaurant inside the Hoxton hotel. Creative design in both the interior as well as the foods. The fish special is a daurade served first as a ceviche beautifully paired with sweet potato and plantain, then either grilled or fried and served with a salad in a delicate sauce. We tried all five desserts; the dulce leche was excellent, and the ice cream in a bed of Peruvian chocolate was memorable, the cream and almond yummy, and the sweet potato ice cream and sorbet interesting. The salad the next day was just as amazing, with generous servings of avocado and sweet potato with quinoa and seeds over assorted leaves.

The food here is undeniably amazing, and the ambiance is truly spectacular—a place that could easily become a favorite. However, the service left me feeling disappointed and puzzled. I called ahead to confirm if they were open for lunch, and the response I received was unexpectedly curt. The person on the phone said they would “try to accommodate me,” and that “they were busy” which was surprising considering the restaurant was nearly empty when I arrived—only three tables were occupied. This initial interaction set an odd tone for the visit. While dining, most of the servers were polite and attentive. However, when it came time to settle the bill, the experience took another strange turn. Despite the restaurant being quiet, no one came to assist, and I had to ask twice to pay. It felt like the staff’s attitude was inconsistent, which detracted from an otherwise excellent meal. I sincerely hope this was a one-off experience, as the food and atmosphere deserve better. I’d consider returning, but only if the service matches the quality of everything else this place has to offer.

I come to this restaurant regularly, and every time, it’s an incredible experience. Impossible to be disappointed! Special mention to Chef Stefano!!! Who does an incredible job. Whenever he’s in the kitchen, I know the meal will be nothing short of exceptional. His talent and attention to detail make all the difference. Everything is flawless, the quality of the ingredients, the presentation of the dishes, the service… There’s nothing to complain about. Without a doubt, this is the best restaurant I know in the city center of Brussels!

Great design. Average service. Not arrogant, just forgetful. Worth a try though. Has a special feel to it.
