I had lunch here yesterday, and it was a straight miss across the board. The best part of the experience was the ambiance which was colorful and fanciful. The service was perfunctory. I know some people gripe about places like this, expecting Mexican food to be cheap and plentiful. This review is not that -- I'm more than happy to pay for flavor, and that's what was sorely missing. The best thing we had were the chips; the salsa was bland. It tasted like tomato puree with chili powder thrown in, no depth or complexity. In a quarter full restaurant, a salad and burrito took 45 minutes to arrive. I got the chorizo burrito. Chorizo doesn't do a good job of hiding in a dish, yet the predominant flavors were refried beans and warm, limp lettuce. I actually had to concentrate after some bites to taste the chorizo at all. My wife got a ($20 w chicken) salad and it was... bland. They clearly massaged the kale so the texture was good and it wasn't bitter, but it needed more salt and acid. It tasted like shredded green paper.
