I highly recommend a visit to Cantine Astroni if you wish to explore the wines of Campi Flegrei! The winery is easily accessible from Naples and Pozzuoli, and is also recognised by Slow Wine. Cristina is a wonderful host and friendly guide, sharing about her family’s wines and the unique volcanic territory. The visit involved a tour of the cellar, a wine tasting in the large tasting room led by Cristina, who is also a sommelier, and a tour of the vineyards above the cantina, where Cristina explains how the sea, volcanic landscape and viticulture influence the wines tasted. I visited at a time a larger group was visiting, and saw how Cristina can cater to individuals and groups, leading the larger group through a blind tasting of the wines to explore the characteristic aromas of falanghina and piedirosso, and their origins. The visit with Cristina met what I was looking for - to learn about the landscape through the delicious wines. Cristina is so knowledgeable about her wines and territory, and generously shares this knowledge with visitors and wine enthusiasts. Grazie Cristina!

My family and I just had a wonderful experience at Cantine degli Astroni. This charming and unique vineyard is rich in history as well as beauty. Located on the side of a volcano in Napoli with a spectacular view stretching to Capri, it is a perfect blend of city and nature. The wine selection is crisp and mineral-full, reflecting and staying true to its volcanic location. The owner Christina and sommelier Natascia were hospitable and knowledgeable. It was well worth the visit!

Iconic Family owned vineyard overlooking the craters of a legendary volcano, Its soil nurturing magnificent grapes that produce outstanding wines. This excellent vineyard is at outskirts of Napoli and has breathtaking views of the crater lake , city if Napoli, and the Sea. The proprietor Christina and the Wine expert Natascia made our visit once in a lifetime experience that we will cherish forever . Looking forward to revisiting and rekindling our experience in near future.

Everything about Cantine Astroni exudes authenticity and beauty. You can truly sense how the property and its wines embrace the terroir, including the adjacent wildlife preserve where the sulfur spring exists. The proximity to the volcano enriches the limestone soil, which you can actually taste in the exquisite wine! If you have the incredible pleasure of meeting Christina, one of the owners, you are in for an absolute treat. Not only is she wonderfully personable, but she is also incredibly knowledgeable about the area's history and their wine. We were captivated by all of the wines, but we have become particularly addicted to their Vigna Astroni Falanghina and the Pedirosso! They offer the best Falanghina I have ever tasted. The Pedirosso is perfect for warmer weather and is simply delicious! I absolutely love Cantine Astroni and cannot wait to return. In the meantime, I find myself continuously ordering their delightful wines!

Spent a lovely Saturday morning here, lovely personal touch. Absolutely worth the trip from Naples even in an extreme heat wave. Bought wine and olive oil, both absolutely delicious

By far one of my most favorite places. Cristina was delightful and informative. The wines were among the best we had in Italy. The Astro is my personal favorite and it was was beyond any expectation we could have. I am so thankful for our Cousin David who arranged our special afternoon. If you have the opportunity to visit this beautiful gem you absolutely should.
