Canton Disco was a nice experience especially since it’s been very recent that they just opened. Definitely notable that they are still sorting out the tweaks but the managers did nothing short of ensuring we had a great time and enjoyed our food.
The Honey Cha Siu was probably the most delicious I have ever had, it was not super saucy and glaze-y which is what I love in a Cha Siu. A little rare in the middle but it was PERFECT. On the other hand, the chili wontons and the cucumber salad had too much cilantro and extras to make them look a little more extravagant than what they should have been, I believe focusing on the quality of the two appetizers would improve the taste. They weren’t bad by any means but the “chili” in the chili wontons reminded me more of a mexican chili than a cantonese chili. In addition to that, the cucumber salad was overwhelmed with red and yellow peppers. It’s fine for there to be individual variations of a dish but I the peppers were overpowering the cucumber which should have been the star of the dish. The oolong tea was absolutely delicious and the manager mentioned it was from San Francisco which is nice since that’s my home coast. I would 100% come back to this establishment and recommend anyone try it.
