I've seen this location for years, even driven past it on my way to work, but I tried it for the first time at the behest of my family, who all enjoyed it. Right off the bat, the cashier recognized me as a member of my family and was extremely helpful and friendly.
It's a hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant (you could drive right past it for years and never know it's there), and it very much has the look and feel you'd expect by that description - it's not run down and filthy, but it's not exactly well-kept either. Of note, there's a lot of boxes in the dining area that just really shouldn't be there. There's also the location; it's located in a strip mall on 47th Avenue, so I wouldn't come here at night. The location, decor and overall atmosphere is why I gave the lower review.
The food isn't quite as fantastic as my family had led me to believe, but it's still very good. I had the Szechuan chicken with chicken chow mein, the fried prawns, and the potstickers; the chicken and chow mein were excellent (my only complain is that the Szechuan isn't very spicy, but honestly very few Chinese restaurants make their "spicy" dishes as spicy as I'd like), and the potstickers were good as well. The prawns, however, were garbage; the batter they use is awful, and their sweet & sour sauce is exceptionally mediocre.
Overall, I'd say you could do better for the same price range (I'd recommend Temple Garden on Broadway), but if you don't want to drive out of the way it's a solid place to get cheap Chinese takeout.
