Canvas

"Canvas offers guests a feast for all the senses. It has the feel of an art gallery and a name which is a declaration of its intent. The setting is meticulous and innovative, part of an artistic project that features suspended vertical panels displaying contemporary paintings that change every four months. The cuisine on offer in the restaurant is as impressive as the setting, thanks to delicately prepared international cuisine with a contemporary touch." - Michelin Inspector

Had the octopus. It was the most tender octopus I’ve ever had. Was more savory than sweet than I was expecting, considering the fruity flavorings in the menu provided. Chef gave us an appetizer on the house. Desserts were incredible. Staff was incredibly kind and fast to accommodate for a sudden 14 person party. Would come again.

Very good and attentive service. Venue was cozy and not loud. Nice selection of wines by the bottle. The risotto was tasty, not too creamy but the tomato-flavored garnish on top made a big contrast within the dish as it was cold. Nice espresso.

Had a meeting with some friends at the bar. It is an open huge modern place, it lacks some privacy feeling, very open seating. The Bar menu is really small, which is normal for a bar, but some Taco options were not even available. So I ordered a Vegan Burger, thinking playing it save. And I must say, that was the worst Vegan Burger I had: Dry and lot of bread with the bun, the burger in betweeen, only dry bean powdery stuff and a round stuff of some cheese? below a slim slice of tomato. The fries on the side were the only OK stuff. Paying a lot in this place: drink something but eat nothing!

I had dinner at this Adorable Restaurant and that was absolutely amazing! I felt cold and best waiter ever offered me a warm blue blanket! And to make time of waiting shorter Chief offered me complimentary fried cheese stick with a honey sauсe.. I would say that was yammy yammy.. And less than 10 minutes they brought me this rib eye steak with grilled vegetables and barbecue sauce that I ordered. plus for me it was a great suprise :on this photo you can see yellow slice - Its not a potato Its grilled pineapple!!! Yammy yammy!! Thank you so much! That was really great!!

The place is nice with dimmed lights and live music. Interior designed on fleek. We asked for non-alcoholic-virgin mojito, 3 times making sure it will be without alcohol, yet we got normal one. We waited 40min for food even tho the restaurant was empty. Fillet mignon was very tiny and slightly too salty. Pumpkin puree tasteless. We asked for the octopus with rice, but it came without. The octopus itself was very good. Also we asked for hot sauce for one of the stakes and we also never got it. In general very much overpriced for the quality.

We had the best Filet Mignon and Chorizo here as not for a long time. Our friend took the salmon which was also on point, not at all dry inside, with a crispy skin. Really excellent ! The waiter & sommelier were english speaking, friendly, attentive and up for a jokes to give us a great time. We will come again on our next stay rathe then eating outside :)))

Came for dinner, stayed for eternity. It took over an hour to get our desert. You ate left stagnating at your table for hours while waiters walk around aimlessly. The manager was 'using' the card machine for a half an hour and wouldn't let us pay. Worst service I have ever experienced. If you come for 1 course make sure you have 4 hours.

Great food and great service. Music was too loud though.

Yelp
We decided to visit this restaurant during our stay in São Paulo. The prices are pretty comparable for an upscale dining. Ordered a mushroom pasta, roasted chicken and a raisin dumpling pasta all of which were amazing. However the real star on the menu is the Canvas Explosion- that was literally fireworks inside of your mouth in every bite. We liked it so much that we came back the following day for it. Apparently the place was reserved for an event however the chef decided to accommodate our request and get it made for us while we were seated in the cafe downstairs.

Yelp
Date of Visit: 4/4/16 While in São Paulo, I stayed at the Hilton, home of Canvas Bar & Restaurante. Maybe my colleagues and I got lucky, but I would say it was one of the better in-hotel restaurants I've experienced in quite some time. I started with a Scallop + Bacon appetizer, which was perfectly cooked and paired quite well with the accompanying pea shoot sauce. The filet with peppercorn sauce followed, which again, was very well executed. Add a chocolate mousse for dessert, and I was a happy man. I will also note that my colleagues and I ate here a second time, and with the lone exception of the lamb chops being a bit overdone, everyone was pleased.

Yelp
During our stay at the fabulous Hilton São Paulo Morumbi, we visited Canvas Bar twice, once for after-dinner cocktails and on our last evening in São Paulo before heading to the airport. Both were enjoyable experiences, with the bar's very high ceilings and stylish furnishings providing a comfortable setting, somewhere you want to spend some time winding down before calling it a night (which, in São Paulo, is always well after midnight). The staff is very friendly and attentive, and the bartender takes great care in making his cocktails - watching him was very much like watching a chef in their kitchen, with an intent gaze and practiced hand crafting each drink. Our "pre-hour-long drive to GRU" dinner at the bar was quite good, with two of us having the Hilton Burger, with the high-quality beef burger sitting on top of stacked lettuce, tomato, bacon, and egg. (I skipped the egg, but one of my friends had it with the egg and really enjoyed it.) All of this is bookended by a fresh brioche-type bun with the restaurant's logo branded on the top of the bun. Very, very nice. One of my friends opted for the chicken Caesar, which he said was one of the best Caesar salads he's had. He orders them quite a bit, so I take that as high praise. There's a huge televisions screen over the bar - actually nine screens in a 3x3 pattern - and, with our being Sunday, an NFL game was on the screen. Apparently, a lot of Brazilians very much enjoy American football as well as what the rest of the world calls 'futbol' (soccer). Who knew? There's also a grand piano in the corner, where a gentleman started playing a couple of romantic songs just before proposing to his fiancé! Canvas Bar is amongst the many lovely features of the Hilton São Paulo Morumbi and is definitely worth checking out if you want to stay on-property for lunch or dinner, or enjoy a nice cocktail after a long day of sightseeing or a nice dinner out on the town.

Yelp
I'm evaluating this restaurant based on the level of luxury that this restaurant espouses. I had the grilled shrimp that was slightly overcooked, but yet it was tasty. The bread plate was slightly chipped. My server was very polite and charming, and yet when my food was served, she never came by to check to see if everything was all-right. She did come back when I was done with my meal, and I left one shrimp for the chef to evaluate the timing of his grilling of the shrimp. I am uncertain if this will help in any way for any future dining experiences. All in all, this is an okay restaurant as an option when you don't have any other options when you stay at the Hilton, which has not a lot of options for dining around it.

Yelp
First off, this hotel has like 4 restaurants. So many choices for an evening meal :) I made a pretty risk free choice of margarita pizza. Not too bad, and certainly more food than I can finish. Santorini Gin and Tonic was great, but the highlight was definitely the live music. Exceeded my expectations for a hotel bar :)
