I ordered two items from Canvas Home's online store: the Canvas Pitcher in Blue and the Morandi Large Bud Vase. The shipping was $12 for each item. Both pieces were of very low quality. They do not appear to be handmade, even though the company claims they are. There is no attention to detail in these pieces. As I was so disappointed in the quality of these items, I emailed the company asking for prepaid shipping labels. Canvas Home must know that customers will be displeased with the product, as they clearly state that their return policy is for the customer to pay the shipping fees.
I have had an email exchange with their customer service team and they refuse to pay for return shipping, claiming that the perceived flaws are signs of a unique handcrafted item. I have several handmade pieces from other shops and genuinely appreciate their unique qualities. The flaws in Canvas Home's pieces make them appear cheap. I cannot imagine gifting these items to anyone and so unfortunately will be getting rid of them another way. I refuse to pay another $24 to ship these items.
I caution everyone to steer clear of Canvas Home. They do not put out a quality product, and they must know it, because they also do not stand behind their products. I'd also like to point out that they make it impossible to review items on their website.
